Need help adjusting formula on time sheet

I am using this formula to show OT hours worked based off N21 being the total hours for the day. It needs to use the DUR2HOURS or it doesn't work properly.
=MAX(DUR2HOURS(N21)-8, 0)
I have another cell to calculate double over time, which is anything after 12 hours.
How can I adjust the above formula to show the OT hours but not the DOT hours?
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

For the specific case of the duration in N21, the above expressions would be:
Standard Pay...
=DUR2HOURS(MIN(N21, "8h"))
OverTime...
=DUR2HOURS(MIN(MAX("0h", N21−"8h"), "4h"))
Double OverTime...
=DUR2HOURS(MAX("0h", N21−"12h"))

I need help getting my face time and imessage to work. It is saying wating for activation. I just got my iphone 5 2 days ago. I have reset it from the phone and from itunes on the computer, made sure I'm attached to wifi.

The 3 basic troubleshooting steps are these in order: 1. Restart your iphone  2.  Reset your settings/iphone  3.  Restore your iphone.  Since your iphone is only a couple of days old, you should backup your device before restoring.  If you don't have anything on your iphone that you care to lose, then simply restoring without a backup is fine.  A quick reset of pressing the sleep/wake button (top of iphone) and your home button simultaneously and holding it until the silver Apple logo appears.

  • I need help regarding measurement of "time domain parameters of Heart rate variability" using labview.

I need help regarding measurement of "time domain parameters of Heart rate variability" using labview.
I am using Labview 8 ... I  need to develop a software to accquire the ECG data (simulated enironment ) and compute the time domain parameters of Heart rate variability like "SDNN, SDANN...etc". Can some 1 plllzzzz help me out.Plzz help me if u can.Thanx in advance.

    Hi Andy,
Thanx for responding.  The input is from a text file. SDNN, SDANN,etc are  the timedomain parameters of heart rate variability.
SDNN: the standard deviation of the NN or RR interval  i.e. the square root of variance.
SDANN:the standard deviation of the averageNN interval calculated over short periods, usually 5 min, which is an estimate of the changes in heart rate due tocycles longer than 5 min
SDNN index, the meanof the 5-min standard deviation of the NN intervalcalculated over 24 h,
RMSSD: the square root ofthe mean squared differences of successive NN intervals
NN50: the number of interval differences of successiveNN intervals greater than 50 ms, and
pNN50 the proportionderived by dividing NN50 by the total numberof NN intervals.
The problem is dat I am a fresher to the world of Labview. I have jus recently started working on it. Can u please suggest me some some idea as soon as possible.
As i said  I have the ECG data in the form of text files..I need to create sort of GUI to calculate the time domain parmeters....I need help urgently. Plzzz help me if u can. If u have and .vi example to calculate the RR interval plzz send it to me ASAP.

  • Question fractions of an hour formulas on Time Sheets

I am trying to build a time sheet. Sometimes the time entered needs to be less than one hour. But when it then multiplies by the hourly rate, I get a problem.
The formula calculates the "hours" by subtracting the start time from the end time in the fields where I enter them. If those total less than one hour, it either changes the duration to "minutes" or if I force it to hold the duration at hours, it always rounds up to one hour. As an example, a reported task that runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. is entered, it usually posts a result of 30 minutes. But when it then goes to multiply the hourly rate, it multiplies by 30 (hours) rather than by 30 (minutes) or .5 (hours). How can I get it to post .5 hours so the math is right on the extended total?

Assume cell a1 is formatted as date and time with only time shown. Enter data in form of h:m in that cell. Convert to fraction of hour that can be multiplied by hourly rate with formula as follows: =timevalue(a1)*24. Add in hourly rate as follows: =timevalue(a1)24[rate value].

  • Need Help with Formula using SQL maybe

I need help!  I work with Crystal reports XI and usually manage just fine with the Formula editor but his one I think will require some SQL and I am not good at that.
We are running SQL 2000 I think (Enterprise Manager 8.0)  Our sales people schedule activities and enter notes for customer accounts.  Each is stored in a separate table.  I need to find activities that are scheduled 240 days into the future and show the most recent note that goes with the account for which that activity is scheduled.
The two tables, Activities and History, share the an accountID field in common that links them to the correct customer account.   I want to look at dates in the Startdate.Activities field more than 240 days in the future and show the most recent note from the History table where the accountid's match. I figure my query will contain a join on AccountID.Activities and AccountID.History used with Max(completedate.History) but I do not understand how to word it.
I would like to perform all this in crystal if possible.  I humbly request your help.
    Membery

You SQL would look something like this...
    SELECT
    a.AccountID,
a.BlahBlahBlah, -- Any other fields you want from the Activities table
    h.LastComment
    FROM Activities AS a
LEFT OUTER JOIN History AS h ON a.AccountID = h.AccountID
WHERE (a.ActivityDate BETWEEN GetDate() AND DateAdd(dd, 240, GetDate()))
    AND h.HistoryID IN (
         SELECT MAX(HistoryID)
         FROM History
         GROUP BY AccountID)
This method assumes that the History table has a HistoryID that increments up automatically each time a new comment is added... So a comment made today would always have a higher HistoryID that one made yesterday.
If I'm wrong and there is no HistoryID or the HistoryID doesn't increment in a chronological fashion, it can still be done but the code is a bit more complex.

  • Need help Recording SQL Execution Times in Database

    Hello,
I have an interesting thing I am tiring to do. I want to record how much time (Wall Clock) it took the database to execute any select statement against o one particular view lets call it CUST_ORDERS_V.
I would like to record who ran it, what the select statement was (SQL Text) and how much time it took and maybe a few other ancillary things if possible.
Looking at most of my requirements took me right to Oracle Auditing and the SYS.AUD$ table. After setting up auditing with:
    audit_trail=db,extended
    and
audit select on ME.CUST_ORDERS_V by access;I get every piece of information I need except for the execution time! Wow that would be great if Oracle recorded that!!! So I was thinking if I could. I was considering a trigger on SYS.AUD$ (I know evil thoughts) that would look into some V$ view and get the execution time and write it into some custom table with a link back to SYS.AUD$.
This might be the complete wrong way to do it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this.
I am running on 11.2.0.3 EE. I am on EE so I can use Fine Grained Auditing if it is needed. However I DO NOT have the Tuning or Diagnostic Pack.

    >
    Hi again,
Yes, a complete set of times from end to end would be great. However
for now I need to stick with what is in my domain of control, the database.
Maybe after the DB I will look to get the others. But your point about the operators blaming the db brings up the probability
that after you tell them that the db is not the issue, they'll start to blame
the app server, the cabling, their OS, the browser, the tea-lady...
If you have click===> page, they have no more places to hide and have to
actually work for a living ;)
I do not think I can access v$active_session_history as I do not have the Tuning Pack.Well, presumably there is a business case for this project. Why not tell management
    that it's required?
Otherwise, you could go to ashmasters.com - a site run by Kyle Hailey (Oak Table
member and author). He has an Open Source ASH "substitute" which you might
like to try - haven't used it myself, but if Kyle Hailey's behind it, then it's at
    least worthy of investigation.

  • Need help writing formula to count checked boxes

This is probably a no brainer for you experts but I am making a spreadsheet for scoring a test and I have put in check boxes. Beside in the adjacent cells to the cells with check boxes I have placed the values that correspond to those check boxes. I want to be able to format a cell to do several things.
First I need to link the adjacent values to the check box cell that it corresponds to.
Then I need to format a cell to
    1. Count the number of boxes that have been checked.
    2. Display the values that are linked to cells if the total is 10 or under
    3. Display text that relates to the values that are linked to the cells.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Shane

    The Pickler wrote:
In answer to your first question. Each question is multiple choice and my layout is chosen to mimick the test itself for easy scoring.
So I take this to mean that it is only valid to have one check per row.
Second, if there are more than 10 I want it left blank.
Right now, it is simpler to have this behave the the other way, in that it eliminates a complicating special case.
So here's a screen shot of what I have on this:
Let me discuss this and explain some of the changes I made to your initial attempt.
    (1) Since I presumed one check per row, you can see in the "Responses" table I switched over to this type of data entry. This has several advantages and, most importantly, was key in clarifying my thoughts downstream. It does not permit the invalid multi-check per row and can be more readily entered via keyboard. The use of A,B,C,D for the choices is arbitrary; they could be 1,2,3,4 or any other distinct set of 4. If you ever want to simultaneously evaluate several questionnaires this can be accommodated better by adding additional columns to this table.
    (2) The references associated with each question's choices are encoded in the "Key" table. This table can be squirreled away on another sheet dedicated to questionnaire configuration and remain out of harm's way while entering response data. The column headings must correspond with the answer designations used in the "Responses" table.
    (3) The "Tally" table is purely for the computation of the "Summary". It allows both the number of each type of reference to be computed and the listing of the references. Since it is purely computational, it should be hidden away on another sheet.
    (4) The "Descriptions" table is where the association of references and the statements is expressed. Since, like the "Key" table, it is likely edited infrequently, this too should be squirreled away on the questionnaire configuration sheet.
    (5) Finally, the "Summary" table display the counts of each reference type and zero to ten of the references and associated statements. Currently, this shows as many as the first 10 because, as stated above, it avoids a complicating special case and is displayed elegantly via this filtered table (which avoid displaying the unused reference rows). The count is always the total count, even if it is exceeds ten.
Third, since I don't know the first thing about writing formula's I guess I need to have you hold my hand through this process or teach me some basics. Please.....if your kind and willing enough to do so.
As there are more than a couple of formulas here, the least time consuming way to explain them is simply to upload this Numbers document to a place you (or anyone else who is interested) can download it. Explore it for yourself and feel free to ask any questions you have about it or how to modify it to better suite your needs.
You will find that the file contains three sheets. What is presented here resides solely on the third sheet. The first two sheets can safely be ignored/deleted, but I have left them in as they represent two earlier attempts (the first only partial, the second, more complete) at a solution. Some may find them interesting, perhaps containing good techniques for other problems.
[Questionnaire Summary Numbers Document|http://www.mediafire.com/?1125t9nm9xm|Click to download a zip archive]
This will take you to a page that will allow you to download the file directly (I apologize for any of this free hosting site's advertisements that you might find offensive). Click on the link in the yellow region on the mid-left part of the page. If all goes well, the zip will download and automatically unarchive into the Numbers document "QuestionnaireSummary.numbers". • Need help adjusting colors in  Photoshop (CS2)

I'm not a neither a novice nor a pro when it comes to Photoshop. (Just somewhere in-between) . . . So don't understand why  I''m suddenly having problems with colors in my photos looking accurate  on my canera, but almsot  completely red and yellow in Photoshop. Initially though the camera was at fault, until I switched cameras  and still had the same problem, so figured itmust be  Photoshop.
Since  Photoshop CS2 has all the features I need,  I've never bothered to upgrade. . . which turned out to be a problem when I tried to follow the instructions for creating  new adjustment layers. (Was OK until I reached the last step, when  my menus were different than  those in the guide.) Have spent  most of the last 2 days trying to manipulate all the options  under the Image Adjustment menu, but am running our of patience and luck.
The problem seems to have been increasing in recent  weeks (or months), but this is the first time I've been absolutely stumped and unable to  come up with a usable solution.

Thanks. But it looks like in all my frustration, I wasn't  sure  my original call for help had posted, so must have  submitted the same question again.
But I just had a new thought on the problem. While reviewing a story I received from another website,  I noticed that the photos attached to the article  looked  a lot like  what I described  in my  message. It made me wonder if I have a software problem at all . . . or if it's the screen on my Mac that needs recalibration!
It only took 2 minutes to find a website that discussed it — with sample screens to help determine if that was what I'm dealing with. Since a screen supposedly showing a mix of numbered, grey boxes looked totally white to me and I could only see the white numbers on a screen that supposedly contained boxes in varying shades of black, I think I might be on the right track. Just not sure, since I had to reach the bottom of the page before spotting the pitch for a product that supposedly will recalibrate  for me. I'm not sure I want to tackle recalibration on my own, but may call the Mac Geniuses at our local mall  and see  if my hunch is right . . .and if so, what they would charge to do it for me.
BTW, if it sounds like a calibration problem, do you think moving my computer  from one desk top another (just 5 feet away) could have caused it? I'm not sure, since it wasn't on my mind at the time, but I think that's roughly when I first started to notice discrepancies in color.

  • Need help with date and time calculations please

Hello there.. Im stuck, and im hoping someone can help..
Working on a list to manage and track PTO.  User completes PTO request form,
    Fields
    Name
    Start Date (with time)
    End Date (with time)
Total Number of Days/hours requested: (calculation)
    Full Day: (Yes/No)
    ok business need
user has the ability to request a certain number of hours as opposed to a full day.
After searching around on google. I found this calculation to help me figure out how many BUSINESS days being requested.
    =IF(ISERROR(DATEDIF([Start Date],[End Date],"d")),"",(DATEDIF([Start Date],[End Date],"d"))+1-INT(DATEDIF([Start Date],[End Date],"d")/7)*2-IF((WEEKDAY([End Date])-WEEKDAY([Start Date]))<0,2,0)-IF(OR(AND(WEEKDAY([End
    Date])=7,WEEKDAY([Start Date])=7),AND(WEEKDAY([End Date])=1,WEEKDAY([Start Date])=1)),1,0)-IF(AND(WEEKDAY([Start Date])=1,(WEEKDAY([End Date])-WEEKDAY([Start Date]))>0),1,0)-IF(AND(NOT(WEEKDAY([Start Date])=7),WEEKDAY([End Date])=7),1,0))
This works great as long as its a [Full Day]="YES", displays results in column labeled Number of days
now if [Full Day]="No", displays results in column labeled Number of Hours
BUT this is my issue (well part of it) it calcuate the correct number of hours.. but puts a "1" in "Number of Days" why.. dates have not changed.. I think Its something with the above calculation but I could be way off.
the end result is I need number of days to concat with number of hours
    i.e 1 full day 4 hours  1.4
        0 full day 5 hours  0.5
        1 full day 0 hours  1.0
so that the total can be deducted via workflow.. from the remaining balance in a tracker. (seperate list)
    Any angels out there??

    Posnera-

    LI,
Regarding the date matching... As I understand it, you want to truncate the date to Month and Year, not considering the Day part of the date. You can do that with this type of expression:
    =MONTH(date) & "-" &YEAR(date)
The result for January 10, 2013 would be: 1-2013. If you must have the exact format of Jan-13, you could write this somewhat more complicated expression:
    =LEFT(MONTHNAME(MONTH(date)), 3)&"-"&RIGHT(YEAR(date), 2)

Photoshop is capable of saving files that are 16 or 32 bit depth. This has to do with the amount of colors that are accessable. The message you are seeing is telling you that it will convert the file back to 8 bit color space for you. This bit depth is talking about per channel, not over all. So a cmyk file would have 8 bits for cyan, 8 for megenta, 8 for yellow and 8 for black. Having a higher amount of bits per channel, photoshop is then capable of doing things like smoother gradients, retreiving data from raw images to produce an image that shows more highlights and shadows without the clipping and so forth.
Most basic monitors are only 8 bit, same goes for most printers. So unless you need to access the extra color depth, you should be fine in 8 bit. If you don't want to see this message, just tell your friend to send the images at 8 bit.

  • Need help with formula in Numbers for iPad 2

I have a spreadsheet with a formula such as b2 x c2  very simple.  However, if the formula cells (b2 and 2) are blank then the destination cell contains a zero. How can I make my destination cell b blank while the formula cells are blank? I got thsvresponse from a person working with Mac os x, if this helps...
I can't seem to make this work in my formula bar on ipad2!
    =if(isblank(<source cell>), "", <What ever your formula is>)
    Thanks for any suggestions!

Your friend was close, but forgot one thing. If you want it to be blank if either cell is MT, then you need an OR as well o test if either one or the other is blank...
    =IF(OR(ISBLANK(a1),ISBLANK(b1)),"",a1xb1)
The isblank can also be represetned by ="" in many cases, usually accompanied with a trim to make sure there are no spaces were entered...
    =IF(OR(TRIM(a1)="",TRIM(b1)="")),"",a1xb1)
