Need help doing a reverse of a file on a different server
Hi - I'm trying to a reverse on a file that is on a different machine than my personal pc.
My steps:
1) created physical arch and test was successful to server.
2) log arch and context defined
3) in designer, created a model (as file).
Two questions:
1) What is the best way to reverse? Create a data store under the file model and do the column reverse?
2) My current issue is: When I do a column reverse, it says "The directory $ETL_DROP/sourcefiles specified does not exist" ... but it does.
- $ETL_DROP is an environment var on linux to point to this directory and "sourcefiles" is the subdirectory where source files are stored.
- Also, in the Definition tab, when I click on browse, it gives the same error but then opens up a browse window of my local pc... weird...

Hi ,
To reverse engineer a file (including csv or Excel files) using the File Technology, the file has to be local to ODI Designer.
1. If your files are on a remote File System, you will need to copy one of your files to the machine ODI Designer is running on to allow ODI to retrieve the metadata information of the file.
2. In Topology create a Physical Schema, the directory you enter for Data and Work Schema should point at this local file.
3. Then define the File Datastore in ODI Designer. Enter a name, browse and select the file and fill in each filed of the Files tab.
* If its a Fixed file, click on the grid icon on the Columns tab to enter the columns and have Automatic Adjustment checked.
* If its a Delimited file, use the Reverse button on the Columns tab to reverse the columns.
* Right click on the File Datastore select View Data, if you can view data, that means the File Datastore has been defined correctly.
* If not, check each tab of the File Datastore to make sure everything is defined correctly and retry.
4. Once View Data is successful, you may now change the directories (Data and Work Schema in Topology) to point at the remote File System. These directories must be accessible to the ODI Agent that will be used to run the transformations. The directory can be an absolute path (m:/public/data/files) or relative to the ODI Agent startup directory (../demo/files). It is strongly advised to use a UNC (independent from the execution location) for the path. When running the transformations with "no agent", the directory is relative to the directory where Oracle Data Integrator has been installed.

Hi Friends,
Need help for cenvat reversal.
Reversed MIRO by MR8M & MIGO by 102 movement but not able to post & cancel cenvat by J1IEX.
In table J_1IEXCHDR status = "P" and J1I5 does not update for document of 102 movement because reversal document of MIGO, i.e. material document with 102 movement type does not have excise tab. MBSM-Cancelled Material Documents, does not show any of the material documents.
Want to reverse the cenvat credit, please help.

If I select Cancellation in MIGO then there is only Material Document option.
In MIGO Purchase Order option shows for Goods Receipt, Goods Issue and Subsequet Adj.
In this case I have been selected Goods Receipt option followed by purchase order number by which original goods receipt MIGO was created, selected 102 movement type and from line item respective MIGO document. The reversal document created successfully where as original MIGO document does not show in cancelled document list. When post option selected from J1IEX and entered vendor excise number then message appeared as No Part I exists for availing credit in excise invoice xxxxx.
If Cancel option selected from J1IEX and entered vendor excise number then message appeared as Excise invoice xxxx has already been posted for vendor xxxxx.

I have tried downloading photoshop cs2 and cs4 on a new computer. I have the disc available for cs2 and the serial number for cs4. They are both registered in my name. I need help doing a download. I was able to get part way through cs4, it showed up in my downloads but never got as far in the process as to ask for serial numbers. I tried with cs2 and I got an error message that some bit of information was incorrect. I currently have both downloaded on two other lap tops I own. One is operational and one is dead. I cannot access the dead one to remove the program. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hey guys... I need your help!! I started a project using Premiere Pro 2 and was 80% when I formatted my computer (all my project files were always saved to a external hard drive). Anyways instead of installing Premiere Pro 2, I installed Premiere Pro Cs3. Problem is whenever I try starting up my project it asks me to link every file used. When I do this it says "The selected file cannot be linked because its type (video) does not match the original file's type (audio and video)." I took my external harddrive to friend's house who has Premiere Pro 2 and it says the same thing. Why did this happen? Is there anyway around it... Any help would be greatly appreciated, I put over 20 hours into editing this movie... I don't want it all to go to waste.

Need help: Itunes cannot locate multiple missing files after renaming
All of music had strange names after transfering them to a new computer. I decided to use a program to rename all of them using a renaming program that renamed all of my music files based on their ID3 tags (Title, artist, etc).
Well now I went to Itunes and it cant find the any of the files (figured that), so I find one and Itunes asks if it should find more missing files, and hit yes, but it doesn't find any of the other newly renamed files. Is there anything I can do short of doing this for each individual file? Is there a way I can change Itune search parameters for finding missing files? ThanksThis is my standard post on the missing files thing...
This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
I sort of assumed the third party tool wouldn't have put things in an iTunes standard form which is why I offered my scrupt at the outset. If you can explain how they are organised I might be able to tweak up the script to work for your layout too.

I need helping configuring RDP access to my local server from a remote location on my Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall.
I have attempted to configure rdp access but it does not seem to be working for me Could I please ask someone to help me modify my current configuration to allow this? Please do step by step as I could use all the help I could get.
I need to allow the following IP addresses to have RDP access to my server:

The other server shows up as 99.89.69.334 but is working fine.

and later you state you add another command that gets an error:

You also stated that 99.89.69.333 (actually 99.89.69.233, guessing from the rest of your config and other posts) is your WAN IP address.
The first static statement matches Cisco's documentation, which states that a static statement must use the 'interface' directive when you are trying to do static PAT utilizing the IP address of the interface. Since 99.89.69.333 is the assigned IP address of your WAN interface, that may explain why the second statement fails.
Any reason why you are using static PAT (including the port number 3389) instead of just skipping that directive? Static PAT usually makes sense when you need to change the TCP port number. In your example, you are not changing the TCP port 3389. -
Accessing a file on a different server
hi...can you please give me some idea on how to access a file on a remote server?
i just need to open that file on that server and append some data to it everytime someone calls my program?
I just know the ip address of that remote server and the path of that file..

Then you have to place a program on the remote server that will connect to the Internet, listen to it, receive the data from your computer, and then append the data to the remote file. You can't do all of this from your computer only - imagine the results if any computer (yours) could connect to any other computer (mine!!) it wanted to, and then wrote any data it wanted into my computer. That would not be nice. -
Need help: Problems with exported Dreamweaver html file in different browsers
I'm trying to send out a newsletter, and had our designer create it in Dreamweaver, and then export and html file which we uploaded. For some reason it looks wrong on Mac's, Gmail, and a few issues with Outlook. Does anyone know how to help with this, or had to work around this problem in the past?

This Spring, Palo Alto joined the list of more than 30 cities and counties in California who are making good on their efforts toward reducing their greenhouse gas emissions
by enacting partial or comprehensive bans on polystyrene (PS) foam and/or non-recyclable disposable foodservice containers. Around the same time, a California statewide ban on the use of PS containers was tabled before reaching the State Assembly floor. Representative
Jerry Hill, one of AB 1358’s sponsors, pulled the bill due
to concerns addressed in the Appropriations committee hearing of the bill, regarding the fiscal impacts which
were not addressed in bill’s contents.
Largely represented by the California Restaurant Association, opponents of AB 1358 lobbied legislative representatives and argued there would be a negative fiscal impact on struggling restaurant owners and their customers in order to accommodate the more expensive alternatives to PS containers. There are the unquantifiable and “hidden” costs of contaminating our bodies and environment which would far surpass the fiscal impact on the plastics, restaurants and consumer industries. Studies published by the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education have indicated that varying levels of styrene residues
are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. On the high end, the levels were “one third of levels known to cause neurotoxic symptoms”. In the environment,
PS is rarely recycled and does not biodegrade. Supporting safer alternatives to polystyrene, in addition to the collection infrastructure and processing mechanisms for the compostable and recyclable products would help create more green jobs in the long run and would be a move in the right direction away from unnecessary harm

Need help using JTextArea to read large file
Hi here is the deal.
I've got a large file (about 12Mbytes) of raw data (all of the numbers are basically doubles or ints) which was formed with the ObjectOutputStream.writeInt/writeDouble (I say this to make clear the file has no ascii whatsoever).
Now I do the file reading on a SwingWorker thread where I read the info from the file in the same order I put it originally.
I need to convert it to string and visualize it on a JTextArea. It starts working. However a one point (56% to be exact since I know exactly the number of values I need to read) it stops working. The program doesn�t freeze (probably because the other worker thread froze) and I get no exceptions (even tough I�m catching them) and no errors.
Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be?

PD: I don�t know if it matters but I'm using ObjectInputStream with the readInt/readDouble functions to get the values and then turning them to strings and adding them to the JTextArea.I can put up the code.

Second. I need to debug a function aproximation that uses a method that has to manage that many numbers. If I don�t put it into a txt and read it there is no way I will know where the problems are, if any. And yes I can look at the txt and figure out problems. It's not that hard.
What I'll try to do is to write directly to regular txt file instead of doing it to the JTextArea.
