Need help in EJB Web Services

I have been programming an EJB Web Service. I programmed the EJB and I have programmed the Client. It works properly when I execute it in the command line.
However, I would like to access it using a web page. I have tried with a JSP (I posted some messages in the forum before) but I had lots of problems because of the versions. I have tried with a servlet but it doesn't work (I don't know really how to execute it, where to deploy it, what is the address to write in the iExplorer, and so on).
Please, if somebody can help me I will be very thankful.
I am new in developing with J2EE and OC4J and I am desperate!
I need documentation or a complete example for OC4J 9.0.3.

Need help in using web service of UCM in C#

I am trying to use the "Search" web service of UCM in C#.
The code below is what I did,
ucm_server.Search search = new ucm_server.Search();
search.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("sysadmin", "idc");
QuickSearchResult result = search.QuickSearch("xKeywords like `lvl`", null);
"xKeywords" is a custom metadata field and it works well in content server. "lvl" is what I want to search.
And this is the error message:
Unable to retrieve search results. Parsing error at character 13 in query: "xKeywords like `lvl`"
Here is what I tried in the "queryText" parameter, but I got the same error message
[*]xKeywords like 'lvl'
[*]xKeywords <substring> `lvl`
[*]xKeywords <substring> 'lvl'
[*]xKeywords like "%lvl%"
I got the error whatever I define for extraProps.
I don't know what the "queryText" parameter should be in C#. Could someone help me with this? Thanks a lot.
I knew the reason. xKeywords is a custom metadata field and it works with a default metadata field like "dDocName".
But I still do not know how to make it to work with a custom field:(

Its a UCM setting... go to "Administration > System Audit Information" and enable socket tracing. Then click the "view server output" button to see what raw data is coming to the UCM from your .NET application. You may need to turn on "verbose" tracing as well. Do this one a test box, because it will generate a TON of output...

Need help calling stateful web service from BPEL 10.1.3.1

I found the tutorial located at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/htdocs/callingstatefulwsfrombpel.html which talks about how to call a stateful web service, it is also mentioned on Clemens Utschig's SOA blog.
The problem is that the code for the handlers will not compile as given under 10.1.3.1 -- it seems that the method signature for the invoke method has changed in the interface com.collaxa.cube.ws.HeaderHandler
Has anyone gotten this to work in 10.1.3.1 or can anyone give me a tip on how to call a stateful web service in a different manner from BPEL?

NEED HELP WITH DATABASE WEB SERVICE INTEGRATION

Hello everybody. I have created a web service with returns a list of records extracted from a database. It works, Apex references the web service and get the result when I test it, but I want to display results in a page type "Form and Report on Web Service" and when I associate the web service to the page and click on "Finish Button" I get this message:
"This Web service does not have a result tree in its definition that is appropriate for a report. You may wish to run the Form on Web Service wizard instead.".
It is correct, of course, but I do not have an example of how to do an appropriate definition for this kind of report.What kind of definition is it waiting for? What I do in the web service is to return a list of items (a resultset of a query such as "SELECT PRODUCTID, PRODUCTNAME, PRICE, IMAGEHREF FROM PRODUCTS") concatenated in a string (commas-separated values). What kind of output must the web service produce or how have I to structure the associated wsdl document in order to display the result with a "form and report on web service" page?
Every help or example is welcome.

Problem generating stubs for Java EJB web service deployed in OAS

I created an EJB web service and I've successfully deployed it in my Oracle App Server. Some of the methods work fine but others produce the ff error:
org.apache.soap.SOAPException - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No Serializer found to serialize [classname] using encoding style [encoding]It seems that the objects specified as parameters in the web service methods exposed are the only ones that had stubs generated for them. Other objects I use, which are usually wrapped inside a Vector, did not have generated stubs.
Example:
public String loginUser(UserDTO userDTO) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException;
public String addItems (Vector vecItems) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException; // where vecItems is a collection of ItemDTO objects In this scenario, stubs were generated for the UserDTO class, but not for the ItemDTO class. In effect, calling the addItems method resulted to the exception I mentioned above.
I did a workaround wherein I declared a dummy method which accepted all the types of objects I needed as parameters so all the necessary stubs can be generated, but this fix doesn't feel like it's the proper solution to my problem.

I have a scenario where I have Portal KM access methods exposed as EJB Web Service. This web service is deployed on J2EE engine.
And I have to consume this web service from my WD ABAP component controller.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Web Dynpro. Normal ABAP functionality is used for the consumption of a web service. In ABAP we create a proxy class based off the WSDL of the web service. This proxy class can then be called from within Web Dynpro like any other ABAP class. You can read about consuming a web service in the online help:

EJB Web Service Interface parameters name changed

Hi, all,
I create a simple Session EJB 3.0 with Web Service interface in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4. and I deployed it into the embedded OC4J server.
The question is I found that the web service operator parameters is changed to "String_1" (actually the parameter in EJB method is String ss). And I found the WSDL file is also String_1.
How to create the real parameter name in WSDL from EJB Web Service interface? Any help on that?

if you do a lookup for the name "java:comp/env/ejb/queryProc" in the servlet, the deployment descriptor of your web-archive must contain an ejb-reference with the ref-name 'ejb/queryProc'.

How to create secure EJB web service in Oc4J using JDeveloper?

We are going to develop a EJB web service running in OC4J using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
By using the JDeveloper feature, we can simply create the web service by using the "Web Service Endpoint Interface" in the session bean.
However, unlike the web service created from Java class, I can't find any option to change the security setting of this web service. We tried adding annotation like @DenyAll for testing, but there has no effect and related method can still be called without WS-Security header.
Now, we can only change the security setting via the web console after deployment (select the web service, then enable security in administration page, and then edit security configuration to change the inbound policies for authentication). It works in our local machine, but it may not work in the production environment as we cannot touch the em console.
May I know if there has any way to include the security setting inside the project?

In order to implement the SOAP header, you would have to :
(1) Define SOAP header in the wsdl of the service.
(2) Add a new soap binding in the wsdl, which contains soap header and soap body.
I think, this should get you going..

If the change between the 2 types of data has to happen dynamically during run time them
1. Use 2 dataproviders
a. Current
b. Historic
2. Merge the 2 dimensions
3. Use Webi variable to switch between the measure of the current and historic universe
Ex if [year] < 2010 then historic.[expense] else current.[expense]

I have an ALV generated dynamically. On the ALV, there is filter and settings link on the extreme right of the alv header.
How is it possible to get them left align after the export button ?
I want to maitain some gap between the export button, filter and settings.

I am working on an ALV table in a standard Web Dynpro ABAP application.
The business requirement is to hide the header for the ALV table.
The header has a dropdown to choose u201CStandard Viewu201D and 2 options: Filter and Settings.
The footer for the ALV table containing the Row and Column numbering also needs to be hidden.
I am looking at the IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_SETTINGS to find the relevant methods to hide the header and footer.
Please let me know if I am on the right track and if there is an alternate way to do this through changing the layout of the ALV table. I tried to hide the header and footer manually via the layout but am unable to do so, as the ALV table is just displayed as ViewContainerUI Element.
Please help me as to how to hide the header and footer as I am new to ALV in WDA.

Combine Annotation Driven EJB Web Services with BPEL

We developed two Annotation Driven EJB Web Service and deployed successfully .
webservice 1 accepts username and password as input and returns true if ldap authentication is successful.
webservice 2 accepts username and password,and groupname as input and returns true if user is part of ldap group.
How can we combine these two services in SOA with input (username,password,group) and output (isAuthenticated ,isGroupMember) using BPEL process...

I will create a schema with input as (username,password,group) and Output as (isAuthenticated ,isGroupMember).
Then based on your requirement you have to create either Sync or Async service.
From the BPEL process i will call the 2 webservices using webservice call.
On receiving the result, populate the output variable(isAuthenticated ,isGroupMember) and send as response.

I understand there are no straight way to maintain state with ejb web services. Basically I have a stateful session bean and I would like to maintain state across requests. What is the best/cleanest architecture I can use in order to maintain state with web services?

The title says it all really. I need help with the Web Application Certificate.
I've followed the instructions from here:

I can get as far as item 3.c
3. Getting Your Certificate Officially Signed
C. Select the self-signed certificate, then click File > Certification Request > Import CA Reply.
I can get the certificate in to the Filr appliance but from there I'm stuck.
Any help much appreciated.

ok when you have you self signed certificate and you requested an official certificate with the corresponding CSR then you just need to go back to the digital certificates console. To import the official certificate, select the self signed certificate, then click File > Certification Request > Import CA Reply. Then a new windows pops out to select the certificate from your trusted authority from your local hard disk. Find the file (.cer worked for me) and click ok. As soon as you do this in the digital certificates console the self signed certificate will change the information that now it is officially signed. Look at the second column and you should see the name of your trusted authority under "issue from"
I personally had a lot of issues across all platforms. Especially Firefox and Chrome for android. Needed to pack all the root cert, intermediate cert and signed cert into one file and import as CA reply. Not even sure if this is correct now. But at least it works.
