Need help with Report and Forms

I have a report that shows all the information of an employee, say sales information of that employee on page 1. when I create NEW record, it'll direct me to page 2 which is a form to fill in the details. How do I get certain fields of that form filled automatically, fields like Last Name, First Name, Employee ID?
Thank you.
Andy

Can you show me the pl/sql process that you have? get
me started off?
Thanks,
AndySure , See Below. Its just a PL/SQL Block. Enter it into the box named Source.
I have a button (called reactivate in my case). This process is made conditional on the page being submitted.
Process Point: after computations and validations
Run process: Once per Page Visit.
P38_CARDHOLDER_REF is an item on my form on which the SQL is based.
declare
v_sysdate date := sysdate;

where cardholder_ref = :P38_CARDHOLDER_REF
and deleted is null;
update bp_partner
set disable_date = add_months(v_sysdate,5000),
statuscode = 1,
last_update_date = v_sysdate
where partner_ref = :P38_CARDHOLDER_REF;
insert into bp_partnerstathist

  • Need help with Adobe Interactive Form Saving

    Hi Gurus,
    I need your help with Adobe Interactive form saving.
    I have written the code in pre-save event to prompt a message when user didn't enter any value before saving. The form data should not be saved upon clicking save (Just prompt the message and exit form the form). Can u please advice me how to do this.
    Regards,
    Srini

    see the link: http://forms.stefcameron.com/2008/04/
    it says:
    preSave: Failed validations will not prevent the form from being saved however Acrobat/Reader will issue a special warning message, after issuing the validation error message, to inform the user that the validations failed. Iu2019m guessing this is because the user may be saving the form to continue filling it at a later time so the save canu2019t be completely prevented.
    regards,
    BJagdishwar.

  • Need help with PHP contact form

    Hi guys,
    I've made a PHP contact form for my site and need help with a couple of things:
    The form action links an external PHP script (scripts/contact-form-script.php) but is there a way I can have it so the PHP script for the form is contained within the same PHP file as my contact form (contact.php)?
    I tried just putting the form code at the top of contact.php but the browser automatically reads the anti-spam re-direct, so maybe that needs revising too?
    The second thing is, how can I make the Name, Email and Message fields mandatory? So if a user tries to submit the form and hasn't filled in one of the required fields and clicks submit, contact.php reloads with a message at the top of the form saying something like 'Complete the required fields' and highlights the relevant field with a red border?
    Here's the code for contact.php:
    <form action="http://www.mydomain.com/scripts/contact-form-script.php" method="post" name="contact" id="contact">
    <p><strong>Name:*</strong><br />
    <input name="name" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>E-mail:*</strong><br />
    <input name="email" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>Telephone:</strong><br />
    <input name="telephone" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>Company:</strong><br />
    <input name="company" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>Address:</strong><br />
    <input name="address1" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><input name="address2" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>Town:</strong><br />
    <input name="town" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>County:</strong><br />
    <input name="county" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    p><strong>Postcode:</strong><br />
    <input name="postcode" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
    <p><strong>Message:*</strong><br />
    <textarea name="message" cols="55" rows="8" class="ctextField"></textarea></p>
    <p><input name="submit" value="SEND MESSAGE" class="submitButton" type="submit" /><div style="visibility:hidden; width:1px; height:1px"><input name="url" type="text" size="45" id="url" /></div></p>
    </form>
    And this is the PHP I'm using to submit the form data for contact-form-script.php:

  • Need help with trim and null function

    Hi all,
    I need help with a query. I use the trim function to get the first three characters of a string. How do I write my query so if a null value occurs in combination with my trim to say 'Null' in my results?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. What am I doing wrong?
    SELECT trim(SUBSTR(AL1.user_data_text,1,3)),NVL
    (AL1.user_data_text,'XX')
    FROM Table
    I want the XX to appear in the same column as the
    trim.The main thing you're doing wrong is not formatting your code. The solution may become obvious if you do.
    What you're saying is:
    SELECT  trim ( SUBSTR (AL1.user_data_text, 1, 3))
    ,       NVL ( AL1.user_data_text, 'XX' )
    FROM    Tablewhich makes it clear that you're SELECTing two columns, when you only want to have one.
    If you want that column to be exactly like the first column you're currently SELECTing, except that when that column is NULL you want it to be 'XX', then you have to apply NVL to that column, like this:
    SELECT  NVL ( trim ( SUBSTR (AL1.user_data_text, 1, 3))
                , 'XX'
    FROM    Table

  • Noob needs help with Logic and Motu live setup.

    Hello everyone,
    I'm a noob / semi noob who could use some help with a live setup using 2 MOTU 896HD's and Logic on a Mac.
    Here's the scenario:
    I teach an outdoor marching percussion section (a drumline and a front ensemble of marimbas and vibes). We have an amazing setup of live sound to amplify and enhance the mallet percussion. There is a yamaha PA system with 2 subs and 2 mains which are routed through a rack unit that processes the overall PA balance. I'm pretty sure that the unit is supposed to avoid feedback and do an overall cross-over EQ of the sound. Other then that unit, we have 2 motu896hd units which are routed via fire-wire. I also have a coax cable routing the output of the secondary box to the input of the primary box (digital i/o which converts to ADAT in (i think?)..?
    Here's the confusion:
    There are more then 8 inputs being used from the ensemble itself, so I need the 16 available inputs to be available in Logic. I was lead to believe that the 2nd motu unit would have to be sent digitally to the 1st motu unit via coax digital i/o. Once in Logic, however, I cannot find the signal or any input at all past the 8th input (of the 1st unit).
    Here's the goal:
    All of my performers and inputs routed via firewire into a Mac Mini running OSX and Logic pro.
    I want to be able to use MainStage and run different patches of effects / virt. instruments for a midi controller keyboard / etc.
    I want to be able to EQ and balance the ensemble via Logic.
    Here's another question:
    How much latency will I be dealing with? Would a mac mini with 4gb of ram be able to handle this load? With percussion, I obviously want the sound as latency free as possible. I also, however, want the flexibility of sound enhancement / modification that comes with Logic and the motu896hd units.
    Any help would be REALLY appreciated. I need the routing assistance along with some direction as to whether or not this will work for this type of application. I'm pretty certain it does, as I have spoken with some other teachers in similar venues and they have been doing similar things using mac mini's / logic / mainstage / etc.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    You'll definitely want to read the manual to make sure the 896HDs are connected together properly. ADAT is a little tricky, it's not just a matter of cabling them together. Go to motunation.com if you need more guidance on connecting multiple devices. Beyond that initial hookup, here are a couple of quick suggestions:
    1. Open CueMix and see if both devices are reported there. If not, your connections aren't correct. Be sure to select 44.1kHz as your sample rate, otherwise you are reducing the number of additional channels. For instance at 88.2kHz you would get half the additional channels via ADAT.
    2. You may need to create an aggregate device for the MacBook to recognize more than the first 896HD. Lots of help on this forum for how to do that. Again, first make sure you have the 896HDs connected together properly.
    3. As for latency with Mainstage on the Mini, no way to know until you try it. Generally MOTU is fantastic for low latency work but Mainstage is a question mark for a lot of users right now. If the Mini can't cut the mustard, you have a great excuse to upgrade to a MacBook Pro.

  • Need help with mac and java

    Hi, I'm trying to develop an application on a Machintosh OSX 10.2.8 machine.
    I'm having a herrendous time trying to get quicktime to work on it.
    I've somehow managed t oget 1.3.1 and QTJava.jar to work together but now i need encryption, however that requires 1.4+
    Now 1.4.1 doesnt work with quicktime
    I've downloaded the latest software upgrades but Ive got no idea how to set up quicktime to work with java 1.4.1
    Now to add on top of that mac reports it can use AES encryption. this is from source code ripped striaght from this website.
    But first and foremost can anyone, annyonee help me out with setting up 1.4.1 with quicktime?
    Thank you

    If you need encryption with Java 1.3.1, download the JCE from either Sun (http://java.sun.com/products/jce/) or Bouncy Castle (http://www.bouncycastle.org/).

  • Need help with report by day

    I've encountered another bump in the road. Can someone point me in the right direction in order to get help creating a report based on dates input by a user?
    I have a report that keeps track of outages based on application. I now need to break down that report and display the percentage of availability for each application and by each day between the dates entered by a user.
    I have been unsuccessful at finding any information on how to get this accomplished.

    Willi, I have a question concerning your query.
    I have a start date and end date in my table that keeps track of outages based on application. How would I incorporate that into your query, in addition I am not having any luck at the breakdown by day. When I attempt to run the query changing my attributes I get a column with hours = 24 and date = the start date of my outage. Please help.

  • Problem with reports and forms

    Hello,
    I have a problem regarding a report and a problem regarding a form.
    My tables are as follows:
    Account           customer          account_customer (intersecting table because of N:M relationship)
    Account_id     Customer_id     Account_id
    Account_name     Customer_name     Customer_id
    Account_date     Customer_date
    Account_by     Customer_by
    I need a report that shows all the accounts and for every account all the customers connected to it.
    The results I get now is i.e:
    1     Account1     2007-09-17     admin     Customer1
    1     Account1     2007-09-17     admin     Customer2
    1     Account1     2007-09-17     admin     Customer3
    I want it to be like this or any other suggestion you have:
    1     Account1     2007-09-17     admin     Customer1
    Customer2
    Customer3
    The form-problem is that I have two select lists where the first one (group) determines what is included in the second one (group members)
    I want to choose group in the first select list and then only get the selected groups members in the second select list. How have you solved this?
    Best regards
    //Jens

    Hi
    For the form with the select list either:
    1. make the GROUP item type as select list with submit and include an unconditional page process to return to that page after page processing, computation and validation. The GROUP MEMBER should be normal select list.
    2. Else use AJAX select list as mentioned in the following example: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:37:1556916731898705::NO:::
    Thanks,

  • Need help with reporting

    I am very confused and frustrated with this whole process. I got Captivate to build a on line teaching tool for my office employees. After creating the training I found that you have to have a place to host it.  I found a web host, and made a website and uploaded the program to it.  I got captive 7 so that I could make use of the reporting tool. (I need to be able to track which employees did the training).  I then found that when I upload the results to actrobat.com, the user needs an adobe ID and password. So I went on actrobat and entered all my employees as name, and employee number @ adobe.com  It let me enter everyone of them with no issues whatsoever.  Until I had some of them try to take the training. They were able to open my training and complete the whole thing. When they went to post results it asked fro their adobe ID and password.  Armed with the ID and password I gave them it states that the Id email was not verified.  I cannot find a way to verify it.  Should be an easy way to upload employees that you need to track? Please help, I am not a computer guy, I am a safety guy and I am lost.
    RB

    I don't normally use Acrobat.com as an LMS, but from memory Adobe has some kind of email verification mechanism whereby once a person registers an email address as their Adobe ID then they receive a verification email sent to that address and they're expected to confirm they are a real person by clicking a link or something.  Is it possible that your employees did not receive this verification email or that it was picked up and ditched by your company's antivirus software thinking it was a virus?  If their email addresses were never verified then that would explain why they were not able to log in just because you set up their Adobe IDs.

    Without seeing what you tried it is hard to say what you did wrong, but this is how it would work
    SQL> create table t ( n number );
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into t
      2  with test_data as
      3    (select 1 x from dual union all
      4     select 2 x from dual union all
      5     select 3 x from dual union all
      6     select 4 x from dual)
      7  select x from test_data;
    4 rows created.

  • Need help with Automatic Generating Form Numbers

    Hello,
    I am new to all this and have found myself stuck trying to figure out how to have my forms automatiacally generate a new number each time it is used. I tried looking through similar posts but do not understand the directions given there. If someone could help me figure this out I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Before opening my forms for responses I am creating a column with my starting form number - 1.  in the cell above(first response) I am setting an equation =B2 +1.  All incoming responses automatically generate an ID number within my responses table.  The form itself will not present the number, but if you were looking for an easy way to track responses w/ an ID it has worked well for me so far.

  • I need help with reporting as soon as possible!

    How can I do reporting in JDeveloper like in Crystal reports. Is there any extention or tool that can be of help.
    Thanks

    @Fenoch,
    I'm also new to the JDeveloper world and I haven't gotten into reporting yet, but a couple I've heard about are
    Oracle BI Publisher - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/xml-publisher/index.html
    Jasper Reports - http://www.jaspersoft.com/
    BIRT - http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/ (more of an eclipse thing I think)
    I hope that helps, I'd like to hear what you find out about any of these.
    Don't let elitist responses run you out of the community.
    @John,
    John Stegeman wrote:

    JDeveloper doesn't have reporting capability, per se, but there are a number of Java-based reporting tools out there, which you could find [url http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=java+reports]here
    John
    Way to be an ass to a newbie. It is posts like this (from an Oracle "Ace" Director no less) that push people away from the platform.
    Maybe you could post a link to a reporting tool you know about, instead of sounding off like an elitists jerk and belittling a new guy. I'm sure you popped into the world full of knowledge and ego, never received any help or asked any "newb" questions.
    I also find it very interesting that your "helpful" search link sends us to GOOGLE and not on a search of these forums. Could it be that the forum search is unreliable and returns garbage results most of the time?
    You could have linked a forum search -
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?objID=f83&q=java+reports (Typical unhelpful results set)
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?objID=f83&q=reports (Slightly better, at least has a couple posts talking about Jasper)
    Re: Report Facility
    Or if you just gotta use google at least narrow it to the forum you are suggesting we search in -
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=java+reports&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=100&lr=&as_filetype=&ft=i&as_sitesearch=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.oracle.com%2Fforums%2Fforum.jspa%3FforumID%3D83&as_qdr=all&as_rights=&as_occt=any&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=images
    It is actually the low quality of the forum search tool that forces people to re-post the same questions as others have. I know I do it all the time after I've attempted multiple searches.
    TL;DR version
    Be helpful or be silent.
    Bullying the new people pushes them away and hurts the community. No new people -> no more JDeveloper.
