Need script to show hidden field if number =568845

Hi All
Using Acrobat 9.1 Pro on iMac with OS 10.6.8
I am working on a fillable form and need a script to show a hidden field when a button is clicked.
I have set up a number field to type in a number and the hidden field is"text1"
Now I need a script for the button to only open the hidden field if the number field =568845
That way the client can fill in the code and then show and type in the field.
Any help would be appreciated.

The field is hidden to begin with.
Someone will fill out the form with all the other fields.
But they will not be able to see the hidden field.
When they email the form to my client, the client will type the number into the number field.
Then the button to show the hidden field will have an if then statement that if the number field has the right number typed in then the button will show the hidden field, otherwise it will not be shown.
It doesn't have to be a number, it could a word or name.
All I need is the script for the if then statement.
I am trying to use this script, but it doesn't work.

What I did was go under Properties, Actions, Add Javascript and pasted it 9 times.
Then I typed in the correct field name in each one, works great.
Looks like this.

Display hidden fields in the Sales Order

Hello,
I have a question. How can I show hidden fields using forms personalization? The issue I'm currently working right now is for Sales Order. One of the requirements is to make the subinventory field required for certain users. However, the subinventory field is hidden and I need to go to "FOLDER" then "SHOW FIELDS" from the drop down, choose "SUBINVENTORY" before field the gets displayed.

Those users can create a folder and save it and make it their default folder.
This way, the subinventory field shows up automatically when they open the Sales order screen.

in my jsp i want to read the value of hidden field language
how can i do it???

You read it as any other field :
String lng=request.getParameter("language");
The string lng will contain the value "en"

Can't set a hidden field value from onClick event with a runtime expression

I need to set a hidden field in an onClick event of button but it's not working.
<html:submit styleClass="btnLink" onclick="document.empForm.hidden.value='<%= empID%>'">

Althought the second expression is evaluated and written successfully "the button value"
I heard that this is because you can't mix the value of an attribute of a custom tag with both string literal and run time expressions.
Is there any work around to solve that?
I can't use EL as I'm using old JSP version

I guess, it should work; instead of html:submit, try with button.

Hidden fields on PNP LDB

Hi guys,
Is that possible to show hidden fields from PNP LDB, before user have to make any interference? I mean, when I execute program related to PNP, on selection screen at first time I get, for example, werks that is not on standard showing. I have tried "modify screen" strategy but it did not work.

Try using a variant.
First create the layout you want to display, the variant.
Then save it.
Call the variant in the source code.
Don't forget to create the variant all over again, when you migrate from one enviroment to another. The variants are not transportable.
after creating the variant, in the selection screen, paste this code in your report,
and replace /GERAL with your variant name.
DATA gs_variant LIKE disvariant.
clear gs_variant .
gs_variant-report = sy-repid.

Can Validation Script Discern If a Field is Hidden?

Hello All
I use the validation script below to check for data in required fields on my form. I recently modified the form, changing three of the required fields from visible to hidden fields. The three fields are hidden unless the user makes a specific selection from a combo box. Then the three fields become visible, and if visible, should be required.
I am stuck on how to tell the script to work as follows:
1. If the three fields controlled by the combo box are visible, then they should be checked for the required data
2. If the three fields controlled by the combo box are hidden, then the script should ignore checking them for the required data
The three hidden/unhidden fields in the script are f5, f6, f7. Is there a way in the validation portion of the script to have it determine if the field is hidden or visible, and if visible check it for the required data?

I went through the form, and realized I am partially where I need to be: The required fields script checks the first of the three unhidden fileds, but then skips the other two.
To recap, I have a combobox that, if the user makes a specific selection, that selection will make three hidden fields visible. When checking the fields on the form, the required fields script should then proceed as follows:
1. If the three fields controlled by the combo box are visible, then they should be checked for the required data
2. If the three fields controlled by the combo box are hidden, then the script should ignore checking them for the required data
The three hidden fields are:
cbo_dmm_ad_spon
txt_buyer
txt_buyer phone
When the three fields are visible the script checks the first one, cbo_dmm_ad_spon, but skips checking txt_buyer and txt_buyer phone, and instead goes on to the cbo_dmm_finan_spon field.
I believe I've correclty implemented what AcroBishop recommended. Does anyone see where I may have gone wrong?

Need to format a form field to add a "%" after the number

I am working on a form that will both print for manual fill-in and also electronic fill-in using reader. My issue is that I need to
add a "%" symbol after the number input by the user. I can't use the percentage format type because that places a 0.0% in the field
when no data is entered and I can't have that due to the need to be able to print a blank form for manual fill-in. Is there a simpl
e way to append the % character after the user input only if data is in fact input and to leave the field empty otherwise?

I assume you only want the user to input numbers and you've then set the format to number.
In the textfield properties go to the format tab and set it to custom.
Enter a custom keystroke script:

This will allow user to input numbers only - strings are regarded as user type.

DSWP not showing field Customer Number in Solution Information

In transaction code DSWP while Creating <b>New Solution</b> system not showing field Customer Number in Solution Information.
It is showing <b>Solution Name</b> and <b>Original Language </b> only.
Due to this I am not able to continue error coming <b>Please fill out all the fields</b> but required field is missing.

Not able to retrieve netui hidden field values in java script

I have problem in retrieving hidden field values in javascript
I have declared hidden field as below,
<netui:hidden dataSource="actionForm.selectedColumns" tagId="hiddenSelectedfield"></netui:hidden>
and retrieving with tagId in javascript as below,
obj1 = document.getElementById(tagId).style;
its not getting value with tagId defined in netui tag.

I'm a new bee to this adobe forms and VBS.Could you explain more on that Fdf file or Can you send some documentation where i can go through of.
Even i'm very much happy to share the pdf file..the problem is it is binded with the SAP browser.So i cant make a copy to my local system,But i can explain all the technical stuffs inside the form.
The form is developed using adobe lifecycle designer,i can see the fields are defined in the design view.
The fields which i'm accessing to enter the values are visible & Set user defined values..
when you access through the SAP portal,it opens up inside the browser ..so every field you choose or select additional fields get added based on the selection..
The "GetField" code you have shared works perfectly fine..i could read all data,or i could select a particular field to retrieve the field.
But the "SetField" code you have shared locating the field but it is not writing the value into the field.I called a setfocus method on the particular field as well..then put f.value = fieldvalue still it chooses the particular field but didnt feed the value...
is it possible to call a keystroke to the particular field?
if you have any ideas please throw it up on me..i'll try all my possibilities.

Looking for the script that will let me click a button and then show hidden text fields.
Here's what I want to do:
I have a text field on my form that if another text field is needed, the user clicks the "Add another Case" button and the hidden text field will appear.

Basically, I have several needs on this form:
First, I only want a text field to be visible if the Add New button is selected. Otherwise I need the text field hidden.
Secondly, I have several text fields where I need to allow for multiple entries of the same type of information. Such as Party Information (which consists of name, address, city, state, etc.) There will be more than one party, so I would need the form to record the first information for the party, then the user clicks Add Another Party......which then clears the previous information allowing for the user to enter the next party info, and so on.
I'm sure this is all basic stuff, but as I said, I'm new to this and just need to be set in the right direction. Not sure how to get you the form.

Hidden fields in a form Dreamweaver 8

I have a problem I can't resolve. I have with a bunch of
hidden fields in a form. The problem I have is that some of the
anchor points are not showing in design view for all the fields,
just a couple show up. I have View Invisible elements in Visual
aids turned on.
Fields 1,2,3,9,10,11,15 don't show
Fields 4,5,6,7,8,12,13,14 show

This is possible in portal forms.
The code to get the value of a field is some thing like this.
You need to generate this javascript function using pl/sql in the Additional pl/sql Section - ... before displaying the page or ... after displaying the page.

Gaps appear in IE 6 browser window for hidden fields in Create User form

Hi,
I need an urgent input on this one.
I hid an OIM default attribute for users in the 'Create User' form by modifying clear_all_fields.js
The field is hidden from the 'Create User' page fine!
But if I open the page from Internet Explorer 6 it shows a gap in the place of the hidden field.
For Mozilla 3.0.5 the gaps are not appearing.
I tried removing these gaps by deleting the tags and the field in the clear_all_fields.js
or, by reducing the dimension of the spacer.gif in GenerateCreateUserForm.jsp.
But it reflected no change in the form look n feel.
The requirement is to hide the fields and not remove them.
Any suggestion as to what may be the way out?

It wasn't even there in the Pre-Release Programs. Is it located somewhere else or with a different name? Please let me know.
Meanwhile, I've been trying to write my own VB script to get the button clicked. Here's what I've come up till now-
FindText
HiliteList.Add->CreateWordHilite->SetTextSelect->GetBoundingRect->PointToDevice
The last function seems to be deprecated. Also there's nothing to connect the text highlighted by findtext with HiLiteList.Add. I guess
I may have to use the JSO word search method.
Any advice, as always, would be much appreciated.
