Nested table in payload of AQ table?

Hi
I have created a complex payload type on 11.2.0.3, (blob, type table of object type), but cannot seem to create a queue table with the payload type.
The multilevel payload type is defined as follows:
create type ty_property as object (property_name varchar2(100), property_value varchar2(100));
create type tb_property as table of ty_property;
create type ty_payload_blob as object (payload_blob blob, tb_payload_props tb_property);
The exception that is raised is as follows when I attempt to create the create queue table is as follows:

I think it is the STORAGE clause, but I am unsure what storage clause to specify.

Please ignore my post. I've just realised one cannot include nested tables as part of an AQ message payload. It is stated as much in the Oracle documentation :
You cannot construct a message payload using a VARRAY that is not itself contained within an object. You also cannot currently use a NESTED Table even as an embedded object within a message payload.

  • Nested XML inserted as NULL in table

    I am inserting a nested XML document into two relational tables. I am using Chapter 12 of Steve Muench's book as a guide to build the two tables, the table and object types, the view and the trigger. The master table inserts fine. The row count on the detail table is correct with the PK from the master being inserted, but the values for all of the nested data in the detail table are NULL.
    This same exact thing happens when I use a nested table on the master table instead...nested values are NULL in that collection as well.
    I tried posting all of the code earlier, but the forum post puked. I can again if needed.
    I have seen a couple of old posts on this problem, with no answers...

    When I am using (Coulmn) == "" ? NULL(DT_WSTR,225) : Coulmn for making blank as null it is working fine.
    But it is making null as string, but I don't want to use null as string. As I am using Null in my stored procedure to load sub region data where "country is null".
    If I will use above expression of derived column it will make it as string which is not recommended in my case.
    Do you have any solution for it.

    what do you mean by "how"?
    When you say custom table do you mean "Customization table" or a "Customer table" (in namespace Z... or Y...)
    Anyway, you can access SE11 transaction, view the table and then check its attributes.

    I need to return the products from the product table based on the CokeTruck but I cannot create a namedQuery because the method in the Product table is an entity object type instead of a long that I can use to look up all the products based off the column truck_id.

    I noticed that when I look at my Session Bean Data Contols that the coketruck already has a list of the products. I have created a jsp page with a backing bean and have been able to use the namedquery on the coketruck entity to retrieve the productList. Unfortunately I need to sort the products by type and was also not able to find where to perform the work to be able to iterate through the productList to get my desired display. Therefore I started looking at doing another namedquery that would only retrieve the product_type ordering by the truckId.
    Seems I have come full circle… I don’t care what method I have to use to get the info back.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    A while ago we added indexes, both on ROW_ID and on PARENT_ID. Could the index on PARENT_ID have been harmful, since there is no foreign key?
    Index on parent_id would only be harmful if you do not make use of index after creating it (i.e. there is no query which make use of this index).
    And if you decide to have a foreign key on parent_id then I suggest to have index too on parent_id as it would be helpful atleast when you delete any record in this table.

    You can achieve this in many different ways, one is
    1. Create another VO based on the EO which is based on the dest table.
    2. At save, copy the contents of the source VO into the dest VO (see copy routine in dev guide).
    3. commiting the transaction will push the data into the dest table on which the dest VO is based.
    I understand that if we attach VO object instance to region/page, we only can pull and put data in to only one table.
    if by table you mean a DB table, then no, you can have a VO based on multiple EOs which will do DMLs accordingly.Thanks

  • Copying information from one repeating table to another repeating summary table?

    Hi,
    I have designed a dynamic form with a Table 1 (Investigator details) to be completed at the start to provide a list of investigators. This is a repeating table, and I have added buttons to add / delete an investigator (i.e. add/remove a row). I also have another repeating Table 2 at the end of the form to allow the investigators to be listed so they can insert a signature image (signature table).
    Is it possible to set this up so that when one adds an investigator (row) in Table 1, a row is added automatically to Table 2? I then want the Title First name last name to copy into the "Investigator Full name" cell in Table 2. Can this be done and keep the automatic renumbering of the rows in both tables?
    I am not sure how to upload a file to show you what I have, so please let me know and I can send a copy directly.
    I would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions for a code to do this.

    A blogger can have one or more blogs while one blog must be related to only one blogger.

    From your description, it is not very clear that what you mean about the View, if it means the View concept in database as SQL Server, your required view should be as below:
    Create view
    as
    Select Bloggers.bloggerName, Bloggers.blogTitle, Bloggers.blogImage
    From Bloggers join Blogs on Bloggers.bloggerID = Blogs. bloggerID

  • How do I loop through tables, not columns in a table?

    Sorry if this is a long one. My problem is actually quite simple. I am trying to write either an ad hoc PL/SQL block or a stored procedure to loop 18 times (thru 18 tables) and perform a SQL query on those tables, returning 18 resultsets. I would like the results to show up on the screen (or in a spool file, whatever).
    So far I have tried 3 different approaches, none of which have worked.
    1. I tried to assign the select query to a variable (qry) and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE qry. This forced me thru a variety of errors to declare variables and assign the result to them--EXECUTE IMMEDIATE qry into nm0, nm1, nm2...
    The problem with that was the resultset returned more than the variable was built for as there might be no rows returned, or it might be a thousand rows of data. So I tried changing the variables to VARRAYS, but it gave me a type mismatch as the underlying columns were NUMBER and VARCHAR2.

    2. So then I used REF CURSOR to create a stored procedure and return the values. That allowed me to run my query AND tokenize the tablenames with a counter so that it would loop through the different tables! However, I still could not get it to display the results without going to SQL Plus and typing 'print c;'.
    3. So, finally I tried to create a looping wrapper around the ref cursor to have some variable (ctr) increment so my query would get performed on table0_cells through table17_cells. This, too, did not work.
    If I manually go to SQL Plus and type:

    Help! It should be very simple to loop through tables, shouldn't it? I just want a script that will loop through tables, perform a query on each table and display the results. For some reason, I can only find documentation examples on looping through columns that are all in the same table.

    yes, i have tried that option as well.
    but when i write one tablespace name in REMAP_TABLESPACE clause, it gives error for second one.. n if i include 1st and 2nd tablespace it will give error for 3rd one..
    one option, what i know write all tablespace name in REMAP_TABLESPACE, but that too lengthy process..is there any other way possible????

    I have a table called sound with the following attributes. in the music attribute i have stored some messages in the different language like hindi, english etc. i want to concatinate all hindi messages and store in the another table with only one attribute of type LONG RAW.and this attribute is attached with the sound item.
    when i click the play button of sound item the all the messages recorded in hindi will play one by one automatically. for that i'm doing the following.
    i have written the following when button pressed trigger which will concatinate all the messages of any selected language from the sound table, and store in another table called temp.
    and then sound will be played from the temp table.

    You can achieve this in many different ways, one is
    1. Create another VO based on the EO which is based on the dest table.
    2. At save, copy the contents of the source VO into the dest VO (see copy routine in dev guide).
    3. commiting the transaction will push the data into the dest table on which the dest VO is based.
    I understand that if we attach VO object instance to region/page, we only can pull and put data in to only one table.
    if by table you mean a DB table, then no, you can have a VO based on multiple EOs which will do DMLs accordingly.Thanks

  • How to map lookup main table field in another main table using MDM 7.1?

    We created a new SAP MDM 7.1 repository with multiple main tables.  The first main table is called ProductMaster table which contains Products information.  The ProductCode is the primary key and the only display field for the table during data loading process. The second main table is ProductByRegion table which has a main table lookup field ProductCode and a RegionId field.  These two fields (ProductCode and RegionId) combine as the PK for this main table.  Both main tables have key mapping enabled. 
    I was able to load ProductMaster table using Import Manager.  But Iu2019m having trouble to load data into ProductByRegion table using MDM Import Manager.  Although I have met all the 5 requirements below (excerpted from MDM Import Manager Reference Guide P.222), the ProductCode wonu2019t show up on the destination value pane.  If I mapped all productCode to NULL field, ProductCode wonu2019t load.  If I u2018Addu2019 all ProductCode to Destination Value pane, the Import Manager added duplicated rows to Product Master table while only loading 1 record to ProductByRegion table.  I canu2019t get ProductCode show up in Matching Destination Field list.  When I checked ProductMaster records in MDM Data Manager, I right-clicked on one of records, chose Edit Key Mappings, it didnu2019t show anything.  However, if I right-clicked on one of those duplicated rows, Edit Key Mapping shows remote system and key correctly.
    Where did I do wrong?  How can I fix the problem?

    Import Manager handles main table lookup fields (Lookup [Main])
    differently than other MDM lookup fields. Specifically, Import Manager
    does not display the complete set of display field values of the records
    of the underlying lookup table. Instead, the values it displays for a main
    table lookup field are limited by both the key mappings for the lookup

    Hi Michael,
    Thank you very much for your response.  I'm new to SAP MDM, I need some clarification and help regarding your solution. 
    I did use two maps to load ProductMaster and ProductByRegion separately.  Here were my steps:
    1. create main table ProductMaster with key mapping enabled at the table level and set ProductCode as unique and writable once (primary key).
    2. create a map to load ProductMaster record from a staging table located an oracle database.  But Key mapping didn't show anything when I looked at them using Data Manager.
    3. create main table ProductByRegion with a lookup field looking at ProductMaster table.  This field and RegionId combines as a unique field for ProductByRegion table. 
    4. create a map to load ProductByRegion table.  But ProductCode records only shows on the source pane not destination pane and can't be mapped properly.
    My questions:
    1. How can I "Ensure that you add key mapping info for all ProductMaster records" besides enabling Key Mapping on the table level?
    2. How can I define a concatenation of ProductCode and RegionId as a REMOTE KEY"?

    Hi
    You are trying to update/upload the Records which are already been there in the DSO Active Data Table which has the partition.
    Try to see the Record Nos already been activated and update/upload with selective, if possible.
    You can trace the changes at Change log table for the same.
