I'm having the same problem, in the United States. Netflix had been working fine on ATV2, and then suddenly doesn't. Its keeps saying the Netflix account or password is invalid. They aren't. Netflix continues to work fine on iPhone and MacBookPro using the same wifi and isp, also all in the United States.
The "activation code" people are refering to is what Netflix is asking for to "activate your device" when trying to work the problem through Netflix. My bluray player gives such an activation code. ATV2 apparently doesn't, so it's a dead-end trying to troubleshoot this stupid thing. Does anyone have any input other than, "you need to get on something called The Internets and activate something called a Netflix Account, then you simply log into that account and your problem will go away"? Because that's not helping.

I've trying rebooting the ATV2, and vewy vewy carefuwy entering the password. Netflix account "manage your devices" gives you the option of disconnecting your devices from Netflix, and then reconnecting them--but when you try to reconnect them, you get stuck on this screen that asks for something called an "activation code". I know, like R.O.U.S.'s, you don't think they exist. My blu-ray player gave me one in about 5 seconds, and without one from ATV2, working the problem from the Netflix end is a big fat no-go. The ATV2 end apparently consists of two options: reboot, and re-enter the password. So, now I have this useless black lump of plastic sitting on my blu-ray player.

When you start LV for the first time, a dialog appears asking for the activation. Nevertheless, the dialog also provides instructions on how to get the code.....

Activation code for second computer

A week and a half ago I bought a PS/LR subscription for my iMac running OSX Mountain Lion. A coule of days ago I decided to partition my drive and install Mavericks onto it leaving the original system untouched. I successfully installed PS on the Mavericks partition as my second allowed computer. That's fine. But when I went to install the second iteration of LR onto the new partition it recognized the originally installed version. Apparently LR cam be run by a system drive other than the one it's installed on. By contrast, I was unable to use PS unless I installed that second version on the Mavericks partition.
However, when I try to launch LR it asks for my activation code otherwise it won't run. But when I go to the CC desktop app, it claims that LR is installed and available. I don't have any record of the activtion code that I can find. How do I get ahold of that thing?

IOS 8.2 no activation code for text message forwarding

Just upgraded to iOS 8.2 on iPhone 6 Plus and to Yosemite 10.10.2 today. I had text message forwarding working well previously but no more. When I tried to activate again on the phone Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding it showed my macbook Pro. I slid the bar to green and (usually) the little window asking for the activation code would pop up. But I'm not getting the activation code message on my macbook.
Both are signed into the same Apple ID.
Worked perfectly yesterday. Only things changed were upgrades.

I went through several Apple communities and blog posts outside of Apple. A combination of tips got mine to work. Turn off the phone in Settings ->Phone, Turn on Airplane mode, Turn off Face Time and iMessage. Then start turning them back on. (Not device power, just in the settings). Finally screens starting popping up on my iPad and iMac saying an iPhone was accessing iMessages. It was liked they weren't all synced together. Then once I got everything back ON..then tried to send the code again, I finally got the pop up. It appears to just be a syncing problem, at least for me. Triggering the on/off in all the settings is really what got everything hooked back together again. Now it appears to be working.

Just to clarify - in terms of backing up one set of these, would that just be so I had it on disk and didn't need to re-download from Adobe if the installation got corrupted somehow? Or do I need a backup for some other reason?

You don't need to install the older version, you only need the serial number from your original purchase. If you don't have them to hand, did you register? If so, they should be in your Adobe account. If not you really need to contact Adobe, though it isn't clear they will be able to do anything without some proof of purchase etc.
