Netui:form and netui:hidden/textbox/... required datasource

Hi all,
1) Question
Can I set the value of the netui:hidden tag different from the field to
which it will post it's content?
because datasource both defines the data to get and set to, which makes
dynamicaly generating a form in a loop seem impossible.
2) Problem illustration
In a jsp of a pageflow in Portal 8.1 I am iterating through an n-size list.
How do I dynamically generate a form for each item in the list?
How does the datasource attribute actually works?
<%
List bookList = (List) session.getAttribute("bookList");
<table>
<%
Iterator it = bookList.iterator();
while (it.hasNext()) {
BookTO book = (BookTO) it.next();
pageContext.setAttribute("book", book);
%>
<tr>
<td>
<netui:label value="<%=book.getName()%>"/>
</td>
<netui:form action="viewBook">
<netui:hidden dataSource="{book.isbnPK}"/>
<%-- Generates a NETUI ERROR when
clicking on the button (not before) --%>
<td>
<netui:button value="View"/>
</td>
</netui:form>
</tr>
<%
%>
</table>
It places the isbnPK in the form without any problems,
but when submitting the form it generates this error:
NETUI ERROR: Unable to update expression "{book.isbnPK}" with the
value [1-56592-403-7]. The typical cause is that the object represented by
the
expression is not available or is the wrong type for updating.
The BookForm and the BookTO have these methods though:
public String getIsbnPK() {
return isbnPK;
public void setIsbnPK(String isbnPK) {
this.isbnPK = isbnPK;
And in the pageflow:
protected Forward viewBook(BookForm form) {
Thank you for any and all help,
Geoffrey

Figured it out.
One of the other portlets on the page had a refreshAction property set to call the begin() method for that portlets controller when the page is refreshed. It was trying to accept the multipart form data sent from the other portlet and obviously wasn't set to accept multipart data. Removing the refreshAction property fixed the problem.

  • Forms and Reports 6i Minimum requirements

    What is the suggested minimum requirements as far as CPU speed and Ram for end-User PCs' when running Oracle Forms 6i runtime applications?
    Not Developer Workstation.
    Thanks

    First you install the fusion middleware software for Forms and Reports,
    after that you have to configure a WebLogic domain for Forms and Reports.
    The installation step, creates a directory structure within your
    weblogic home directory. This also contains the other software
    components.
    After the installation step you configure your domain, in which
    you choose the products which you want to use.
    Steps:
    - Install WebLogic Server
    - Install your Fusion Middleware product, in your case the forms, reports etc. installation
    - Configure your domain.

    I am new to eBusiness Suite. I have a myth about whether eBusiness Suite is all written by Oracle Forms and Reports. If yes, are these Forms and Reports source code supplied to the customer for customisation?
    Any help is welcome.

    Hi,
    The EBusiness Suite combination of forms/reports/jsp.
    the forms/reports are module specific. Each module having its own forms and reports. With standard installation of Ebusiness suite you will get standard forms and reports. on demand requirement the reports/forms will change in display.

  • How to set a date value at netui:hidden/ tag bind to a RowSet item/property through a form bean?

    Hi,
    I have the following urgent problem.
    I created a pageflow which uses a form bean (created with a db control) to insert
    values in a table. I overcame the disability to insert date values in the table
    by converting this columns to string values in the table. But now I have to insert
    a sysdate in a column that holds the row sampled date. How is it possible? I used
    javascript without an success.
    Code in jsp:
    document[getNetuiTagName("myForm",this)][getNetuiTagName("date",this)].value=new
    Date();(have used string values too)
    <netui:hidden dataSource="{actionForm.sampled}" tagId="date"/>
    Code in .jcx file
    <xsd:element name="SAMPLED" type="xsd:dateTime" wld:JDBCType="DATE" minOccurs="0"
    wld:TableName="theTable" nillable="true">
    * </xsd:element>
    Code in .jpf file
    * <pageflow-object id="formbeanprop:portlets.Career.Submit_CV.Submit_CVController.DatabaseForm#sampled#java.sql.Timestamp"/>
    public static class DatabaseForm extends RowSetForm
    public java.sql.Timestamp getSampled()
    return sampled;
    public void setSampled(java.sql.Timestamp newOne)
    registerChange("sampled");
    this.sampled = newOne;
    I have tried to use java.sql.Date too...
    Any help would be very appreciated.

    Hi,
    Hope You're using the template.fmb.
    If  your Custom Form is in INV module, use  'FND_ORG.CHOOSE_ORG;' in the pre-form.
    Else Set the org id dynamically,
    begin
        MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT(ACCESS_MODE,ORG_ID);
    end;
    Example:
    begin
        MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT('S',101);
    end;
    S - Denotes that the current session will work for Single Org_id (101)
    M - Denotes that the current session will work for Multiple Org_id

    Hi,
    I'm a new bee to this adobe forms and VBS.Could you explain more on that Fdf file or Can you send some documentation where i can go through of.
    Even i'm very much happy to share the pdf file..the problem is it is binded with the SAP browser.So i cant make a copy to my local system,But i can explain all the technical stuffs inside the form.
    The form is developed using adobe lifecycle designer,i can see the fields are defined in the design view.
    The fields which i'm accessing to enter the values are visible & Set user defined values..
    when you access through the SAP portal,it opens up inside the browser ..so every field you choose or select additional fields get added based on the selection..
    The "GetField" code you have shared works perfectly fine..i could read all data,or i could select a particular field to retrieve the field.
    But the "SetField" code you have shared locating the field but it is not writing the value into the field.I called a setfocus method on the particular field as well..then put f.value = fieldvalue still it chooses the particular field but didnt feed the value...
    is it possible to call a keystroke to the particular field?
    if you have any ideas please throw it up on me..i'll try all my possibilities.
    Thanks for your time !

  • I am trying to us a form on a site that requires authentication and it won't work with Muse

    I called the provider and they sent me a bunch of code to insert in order to make the form work but is there anyway I can make it work from within Muse? https://solutions.hostmysite.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/8460/0/using-pear-m ail-to-create-a-php-mail-form-that-uses-authenticationauthentication-is-required-by-hostmy site
    I have no idea how to deploy any of that stuff or how to do a captcha without using Muse.
    The website is question is http://www.kiddintl.com/work-with-us.html
    Should I have the domain point to an adobe business catalyst site in order to make everything in Muse work correctly?
    [email protected]

    Hi Peter,
    In the latest release of Muse the option of recaptcha was added to both Bc and non Bc hosted site. Please check the link below to know more on this.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/using/form-widgets.html#Preventing spam using Google reCAPTCHA
    I am afraid that this is not possible in Muse, to generate captcha for a site that is not hosted via Bc, at this stage, I will recommend that you post this on our ideas section over here, https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas, and let our devs team know of this requirement.
    In the meantime, you will need to insert the captcha code manually on the Muse form once after you have exported the html of the site and this is something that you will need to every time the code is generated because Muse will overwrite the changes that you have made.

  • Can questions be hidden on a form and only appear if they answer a previous a certain way

    Can questions be hidden on a form and only appear if they answer a previous a certain way
    example
    Do you need microphones Y/N
    If they answer No nothing happens
    If they answer yes more questions appear

    Yes - you can.  We have both "Show/Hide" logic which would cover the case you mention, and Page logic to go to a specific page based on the answers.  There is aome more information here: https://www.acrobat.com/formscentral/en/library/skip.html
    Also, if you search the Help for "Conditional form elements" you can read the section there: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/formscentral/using/formscentral_help.pdf

  • Manual tabular form and hidden fields

    Hi,
    I have a manual tabular form with some hidden fields, one for the primary key and one to handle my checkbox.
    The checkbox handling I got from here:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:123:4202825883202781:::::
    Here you can see my very simple example:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=22968:3:4142231640027285:::::
    My query:
    select
    to_char(dag,'day dd mon yyyy') dag
    , HTMLDB_ITEM.HIDDEN(1,pk) pk
    , htmldb_item.text(2, ben1) ben1
    , htmldb_item.text(3, ben2) ben2
    , htmldb_item.text(4, ben3) ben3
    , htmldb_item.text(5, ben4) ben4
    , htmldb_item.hidden(6, cb1) cb1_hidd
    , htmldb_item.checkbox(7, ROWNUM, NULL,DECODE (cb1, 'Y', ROWNUM)) cb1
    from dummy
    My problem is that I don't want to show the columns hidden_pk and hidden_cb1. But if I set them to not shown they are not parsed in my html page. Maybe that's all natural but how do I handle this problem??
    Any ideas?
    Regards Daniel

    Stick them to another item, like this
    select
    to_char(dag,'day dd mon yyyy') dag
    , htmldb_item.text(2, ben1) || HTMLDB_ITEM.HIDDEN(1,pk) ben1
    , htmldb_item.text(3, ben2) ben2
    , htmldb_item.text(4, ben3) ben3
    , htmldb_item.text(5, ben4) || htmldb_item.hidden(6, cb1) ben4
    , htmldb_item.checkbox(7, ROWNUM, NULL,DECODE (cb1,
    'Y', ROWNUM)) cb1
    from dummy

  • Installation Requirements for Oracle Apps Forms and Report Services OEL

    Hi all.
    Where can i find detail information about the installation requirements for Oracle Application Server Forms and Report Services under OEL 4 (Oracle Enterprise Linux) or OEL 5?
    It seems there's only information about Oracle Application Server in general, not the reduced or partiuclar distribution, Forms and Reports Services.
    Thanks in advance ....!

    I already saw the documentation for Forms and Reports Services Installation.
    This thread is about the specific requirements, if any, for this product on OEL 5 or OEL 4.
    See, there's a note on Metalink(546174.1) regarding some specific issues about installing Oracle Application Server on OEL5, but i'm not sure if this involves Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services.
    The idea is to know if these issues applies to this specific distribution .
    Hope you understand my question now. Thanks in advance

  • HCM Forms and processes - Effort estimation of the requirements !

    Hi Experts on HCM F&P,
    I have following queries on HCM forms and processes.
    1.
    I understand that HCM F&P is both functional and technical ( majority of the work being technical here). But where do we draw a line as to what part of work is a functional activity and what is technical activity. For technical I do understand the form desig, workflow development is all technical. But however i am not able to understand what is the part of work on HCM F&P is to be classified as functional.
    2.
    When we get new customer projects how do we go ahead estimating the timelines for Functional consultant and Technical consultant. Fairly clear for technical that the timelines for designing the form with all needed logic in custom generic service and for the workflow development. But unable to really understand that activity that needs to be classified as purely functional activity and the timelines needed for this role.
    I am very much interested to understand estimation on the functional side. Estimatation if there are standard processes to be enabled and implemented. And also if there are customer specific new processes needed. Estimation for the Blueprinting and Realizaiton needs to be understood for this.
    I am looking at the parameters that needs to be considered here for estimating.
    It would be greatfull if someone can give hints on this.
    Note:Points would be given considering each as a separate question.
    Best regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,
    In HCM Process and Forms,
    1. First you need to clear with the process that you are going to carry out.
    2. Understand the process and indentify the infotypes, fields that need to be updated.
    3. Also the infotype operation deletion, modification, Insertion, etc.
    Above steps are get invoved with functional consultant
    4. Create a process, add a fields.
    5. create generic service if necessary.
    6. Create a adobe form.
    Above three steps are get invoved with functional consultant.
    7. Workflow process to be defined from functional(first level approver, second level approver)
    8. With the help workflow consultant, technical consultant will attahc the workflow to the process.
    Blue print, Estimate depends on the Process(Simple updation or it get involved with more processes).
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Meera

  • I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.

    Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
    I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
    I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
    Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
    (formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
    (after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
    I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

    I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
    You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
    The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
    I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

  • Php form and mail handling

    I am trying to create a php form and I can get it to spit out the information from the form but I cannot seem to get it to send the result as an email.
    This is probably something really simple and I am totally missing it.
    Here is the form:
    <form method="post" action="sendail.php">
      <?php
    $ipi = getenv("REMOTE_ADDR");
    $httprefi = getenv ("HTTP_REFERER");
    $httpagenti = getenv ("HTTP_USER_AGENT");
    ?>
      <input type="hidden" name="ip" value="<?php echo $ipi ?>" />
      <input type="hidden" name="httpref" value="<?php echo $httprefi ?>" />
      <input type="hidden" name="httpagent" value="<?php echo $httpagenti ?>" />
            <p>I need:<span class="redStar">*</span>
              <input type= "radio" name = "need" value = "service" />service.
            <input type= "radio" name = "need" value = "sales" />to contact a salesperson.
            <input type= "radio" name = "need" value = "literature" />to have literature sent to me.<br />
            Name:        <input type = "text" name = "name" size = "30" />
            <span class="redStar">*</span><br />
            Title:           <input type = "text" name = "title" size = "30" /><br />
            Company: <input type = "text" name = "company" size = "30" /></p>
            <p>Address 1: <input type = "text" name = "address1" size = "30" />
              <span class="redStar">*</span><br />
            Address 2: <input type = "text" name = "address2" size = "30" /><br />
            City: <input type = "text" name = "city" size = "30" />
            <span class="redStar">*</span> State: <input type = "text" name = "state" size = "3" />
            <span class="redStar">*</span> Zip: <input type = "text" name = "zip" size = "11" />

           <p>Email:   <input type = "text" name = "email" size = "30" />

            <p><span class="redStar">*</span> These blanks must be filled in</p>

    You can see where I am trying to go with this. I want to use the $need variable to determine where the email is going to go (two people in each case). But I am testing this script and cannot get to send me an email without any if statements.
    Where have I gone wrong?

    If you're not keen on learning, you might want to reconsider
    your plans.
    Creating a simple web page is easy, giving many beginners the
    false
    impression that website development is something anyone can
    do without
    acquiring specialist knowledge.

    Yep, sounds simple enough, but so is turning the ignition key
    of a car.
    What you're ignoring is the underlying technology that not
    only makes it
    work, but makes it work safely. WordPress does all of this
    for you
    straight out of the box. To build it successfully in
    Dreamweaver
    requires a knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and SQL.
    > According to the Pickaweb FAQ, the path to PHP is
    "/usr/bin/php"
    If PHP is enabled on your site, the path to PHP is
    irrelevant.

    need to know?
    What you enter in the Action field is the path to the script
    that
    processes the form input. If you're willing to learn the
    basics of PHP,
    MySQL, and SQL, you can create a comment form on your site
    with
    Dreamweaver. However, you need to be aware of security
    issues, such as
    cross-site scripting and dealing with spam. What looks simple
    at first
    glance is actually more complex. It's not rocket science, but
    it does
    involve a learning curve.

  • Business scenarios on SD and MM modules for generic datasources and enhance

    Hi,
      Can anybody send some documents on SD and MM module on generic datasource and on enhancements.Pl send it to my MailID:[email protected]
    Thanks,
    Chinna

    Hi,
    MM Process flow:
    The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
    1. Determination of Requirements
    Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
    2. Source Determination
    The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
    3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
    The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
    4. Purchase Order Processing
    The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
    5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
    The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management
    Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and underdeliveries of ordered goods.
    7. Invoice Verification
    The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.

    SD Process Flow:
    The sales documents you create are individual documents but they can also form part of a chain of inter-related documents. For example, you may record a customer’s telephone inquiry in the system. The customer next requests a quotation, which you then create by referring to the inquiry. The customer later places an order on the basis of the quotation and you create a sales order with reference to the quotation. You ship the goods and bill the customer. After delivery of the goods, the customer claims credit for some damaged goods and you create a free-of-charge delivery with reference to the sales order. The entire chain of documents – the inquiry, the quotation, the sales order, the delivery, the invoice, and the subsequent delivery free of charge – creates a document flow or history. The flow of data from one document into another reduces manual activity and makes problem resolution easier. Inquiry and quotation management in the Sales Information System help you to plan and control your sales.
    Transaction Codes:
    Inquiry - VA11/VA12/VA13
    Quotation - VA21/VA22/VA23
    Sales Order - VA01/VA02/VA03
    Delivery - VL01N/VL02N/VL03N
    Billing/Invoicing - VF01/VF02/VF03

    Production Planning:
    For example, consider a pump manufacturing plant, based on the customer requirement, planning is done for future months ( we plan for a qty on particular
    date). Pump is an assembly - were main component would be manufactured in the plant and others would be procured. As PP, we are concerned only in the inhouse
    manufacturing but the final assembly (considering BOM) can be done only if the procured components are available. MRP helps in planning the shortage, on
    particular date based on the planned date. Work center (ex. lathe) place the components are machined/assembled (were the operation is done). Sequence of
    operation is routing (lead time scheduling data is got from routing). In the MRP Run,basic or lead time scheduling (need to know when to start/finish date)
    is done. On creation of the production order, system checks for which BOM and routing to be picked up (if there are many routings or BOM for that particular
    finished product). Availabilty checks for material,PRT and capacity needs to be done. on release of the order, confirmation of the order can be done (on
    completion of the order or after manufacturing the quantities). GI and GR have to be done.PP flow ends here
    step 1: creation of master data (Material master,BOM,Work center,Routing)
    step 2: Planning - can be done by Planned independent requirement (MD61), Independent requirement (MD81).
    we plan for a quantity, on which date (it would be finish date).
    step 3: MD04 -stock/requirement lsit (plan made can be viewed in MD04)
    step 4: MRP run - MD02, PIR is converted into Planned order
    step 5:Planned order to be converted production order - CO40, CO41
    step 6: production order to be released - CA02
    step 7: confirm the production order (order confirmation-CO15 (after which GI and GR is done)

  • Tabular Form and Link to document and No Data Found error

    I have used this numerous times in an INTERACTIVE REPORT to link records out from the report to a document in a folder on our server and it works beautifully thanks to one of you guys who helped me a couple of years ago. In the column for which I want to use as a link I do the following:
    LINK TEST #ISO_NUMBER#
    LINK ATTRIBUTES a href=#DOC_LINK#; TARGET="_BLANK"
    URL #DOC_LINK#
    I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why I keep getting a 'No data found' error in my TABULAR FORM. The good news is I figured out why it's happening. The bad news is I do need to link out to the documents listed in my tabular form that are saved on the server.
    Is there any other way to do this?
    Application Express 4.0.0.00.46
    TIA,
    Alexandra

    Finally back...
    I have a tabular form that lists documents stored on one of our servers. In an interactive report I can set up a link to those docs using the document number column in the IR. I can't get it to work in the same way on the tabular form. Hopefully the steps of the catalog process will shed light on what may be the problem:
    Step One
    1. User1 catalogs doument using standard form (page 3) on DOC_INFO table.
    2. Button on form redirects to Approval Tabular Form (for this example, page 100). This tabular form displays DOCUMENT_NUMBER (display as text saves state), APPROVER (select list), APPROVED(select list), RELEASED (select list) fields among others from DOC_APPRV_DOC table
    3. Add Row adds fields in #2 above and other fields
    4. User1 selects APPROVER in select list and Adds Row for all additional APPROVERS required
    5. User1 hits SUBMIT button
    Step Two
    1. User2 opens different page but Approval Tabular Form (for this example, page 200) on same DOC_APPRV_DOC table, restricted to :P101_USERNAME
    2. User2 uses APPROVED select list to approve or reject
    3. User2 hits SUBMIT button
    Step Three
    1. User1 opens Approval Tabular Form (page 100) with User2 (and all other documents requiring approval) results
    2. If rejected User1 uses Reset Approval checkbox and select list on User2's tabular form is reset
    3. If approved User1 uses Released submit list and and record is deleted from User2's tabular form
    The Problem
    User2 ought to be able to review each of these documents on the server. In other parts of my application, an interactive report is used, I've got a case statement in the report creating the link, and have the column itself setup up so that User2 merely clicks on the DOCUMENT_NUMBER on the report and he's redirected to the document itself.
    This works fine when set up the same way on the tabular form ONLY THE FIRST TIME a row is added. If I ADD ROW for any additional documents the DOCUMENT_NUMBER field on the tabular form does not populate on User1's form.
    The entire process works beautifully if the link is not set up.
    Note that from the standard form, the DOCUMENT_NUMBER is sent to a hidden item (default = :P3_DOCUMENT_NUMBER) in a region above the tabular form (page 100). This is then used to populate the DOCUMENT_NUMBER on the tabular form as the default value (:P200_DOCUMENT_NUMBER).
    Your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

  • Making hidden fields required...

    I am currently building an interactive form on Acrobat Pro 10 and have a field hidden until a specific radio button is selected.  I need hidden field required when visible, but if I make it required, it is required when it is hidden as well.  I am only slightly familiar with javascript, is that the only way to do it?

    Yes, JS is the only way to do it. If you're already using a script to
    show/hide the field, you can also use the same script to make the field
    required (or not).
