New option for shuffle...

This isn't really a question as a request (unless I've missed something) but here goes: Under Settings > Shuffle you have the choice of OFF, SONGS, or ALBUM. I'd like a setting whereby if I'm listening to a PLAYLIST or a specific ARTIST, or GENRE, all the songs are shuffled, but if I'm listening to an ALBUM, all the songs are in order. Right now if you choose the ALBUM setting, and you have multiple songs from the same album in a playlist, artist, or genre once you get to the first song on the album, all the other tracks from that album are played before moving on. I usually leave the setting at SONGS which is closer to what I want, but then have to turn it to OFF to listen to an album.

    Hi! I recently purchased a shuffle... But i'm using it as the replacement for my good ol' discman for my office's phone system. The thing is: Shuffle's always plugged in through an usb ipod adapter and is contantly playing music and never unplugged... Let's say that this shuffle is a stationary shuffle....
    Does anyone know about a potential damage that could happen if the shuffle's used this way?
    Any recomendations?

    Have you even been able to get it to play and charge at the same time? I too plan to use it 24/7/52 and need the ability to supply continous power, regardless of how it affects the unit's battery life.

    My name is Shahar. I am a HW eng and I've been using T61 for the past 3 years. It's my work laptop, but I am happy with it. Its way better than my previous cra^#@%#^%!!! Laptop.
    I'd like to suggest / request a simple addition to the touchpad driver from the development guys in lenovo. My suggestion is about the usage of the touch-pad.
    Currently, the touch pad works like this: I drag my finger on the pad from point (x0,y0) to point (X1,Y1) thus "drawing" a vector , and the pointer moves in the same angle of my vector. The length of that movement is of course depends also on my touch-pad driver configuration.
    What I really, really, really, really want is to not have to drag my finger. I wish the touch pad will work in the following manner:
    Lets define a virtual middle of the touch pad as point (Xm,Ym), and were I touch the pad as point (Xt,Yt).
    I want the pointer to move according to the angle of a vector starting a point (Xm,Ym) and pointing to (Xt,Yt), and I want it to move in a speed which is relative to the distance between the points. Point (Xm,Ym) is where the pointer is now, and point (Xt,Yt) is the direction I want the pointer to move. The pointer should move as long as I keep touching the pad, and stop when I remove my finger.
    That's all .
    I would have added such an option to the touchpad driver myself if I had the means....
    Is this feasible ?
    Maybe I can get info on how to communicate with the touchpad ?

    I have a couple things I would add as well:
    "An option to link/ unlink ALL selected mask layers, instead of having to go down manually doing it on each masked layer." that wouldve saved me literally an hour at work today.
    My request is to have a "liquify all" option where you can essentially easily batch all selected masks or layers and apply a saved mesh without having to do it manually.
    As a person who professionally uses photoshop for 8 hrs a day every day this feature would save me an easy half hour on many files.  It also would cut down on the "mistakes" we make by missing  one random but essential mask.
    One more suggestion is to enable "warp" in transform to work with the "transform again" command as it is the only one of the forms of transformations that does not allow it.

    You Need to have at least one substitute who can act upon work items in case of forward . 
    The Substitute agent would be able to see all your work items. A substitute cannot be assigned for only particular area of organization or any other item. So need to ensure that the substitute have the necessary authorizations to act upon the work items. 
    Procedure:
    1.      Go to SAP Business Work Place (TCode: SBWP)
    2.      Now from the menu bar, select Settings a Workflow settings a Maintain Substitute
    3.      Highlight/Select the name on the window, in this case SAPDEV02 and click on  u201CCreate Substituteu201D.
    4.      List of users available in the system are displayed.
    5.      Select the required substitute user name.
    Validity field describes about the period in which the setting would be active. Note that the dates on the screen would range from the current date to 31st Dec 9999. 
    Important:Regarding the checkbox u201CSubstitution activeu201D, it is advised to leave this checkbox unchecked for system performance reasons. A check in this box indicates that the substitution is u201Cpermanentu201D and if left unchecked it is treated as u201Cas-neededu201D. A permanent substitute will automatically receive the primary users work items in their own box. In the case of u201Cas-neededu201D, substitute must manually adopt the work items from the primary useru2019s inbox. 
    6.      Save the entries
    7.      Click Enter to leave the screen.

    This question is specifically for Sharepoint Online if that affects the possible solution.
    I would like a custom content type with Excel template to open up in Excel Web Access when a library's New>"My Content Type" option is chosen.  I have configured the content type (deriving from "Document"), pointed it to the spreadsheet
    template I've uploaded, added the content type to the library and set the library to "Open documents in the browser".
    However when I choose the new option for the content type it always opens it in the Excel desktop client.  If I then save the document to the library, then it does view and edit in Excel Web App after that.
    Is there any way for the initial "New" Excel document to start editing in Excel Web App?

    Make sure Office 2011 is fully updated. It shouldn't have a problem opening those documents.
    When I open a 97 - 2004 workbook, it states that it needs to be converted. That may be what is crashing on your copy of Office.
    Have you tried creating a new account and see if you can open them there.

    Depending on how you created your account, "None" may or may not be an option. I believe it has something to do with whether the account was made through an App Store request or the regular iTunes Store. For example, my account allows no card but my father's doesn't allow there to be no card.
    To change the card, go to your account settings and change the information to your new card, and hit save.

I have done the library sharing thing but I am getting rid of my primary computer and am afraid I will lose the library.

    To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
    Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
    But however you do choose to link the two machines...
    Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
    Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
    and select the Library that you moved.  That's it.
    This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
    Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
    Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

    I had to add a new option in a plan. I have defined the option, added it to the plan. I setup 2 standard rates for this option; one non-tax and the other taxable. This is an odd example because 1 certain employee falls under Group Health Employee plus Spousal Equivalent Plus Family. Last year the employee had Group Health Employee plus Spousal Equivalent but he still is not married and now has a domestic partner child. So they have asked me to create this option in the Group Health plan. Everything works fine when i choose the new option while the open life event is in started status and i can designee the spousal equivalent and the domestic partner child. But when i close the open life event and go to people and maintain and go to assignment to view the entries this employee has Group Health EE and Group Health EE Taxable still there with an end date of 1Jan08 and when i day track to 2Jan08 he does not have this entries there? What am i missing here? Also, when selecting the option in benefits service center if you scroll to the right there are no rates defined for this option.....but under standard rates i have defined a specific rate to this option and correctly filled out the level, compensation object, activity type, tax type, usage, element, input value and assignment to use. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!!

    I've discovered that the problem is that there is no new file for the new blog entry. The other blog entry was published to the site folder before I was online but now when I hit the publish button it goes straight to uploading to my site, and the new entry doesn't show up as it has no file in the folder. How can I get it to publish to the folder before it uploads?

    Chrome doesn't support the new accent/diacritics/macron chooser. I'm not sure about other browsers such as Firefox. You can use the old Option+letter combination that Doug suggested. Hopefully updates will solve these little incompatibilities shortly.

    Ah.. then I suspect you just need to go to Logic's prefs/Audio and check CoreAudio...
    It has been unchecked somehow...

  • Why no RAID options for new disks?

    I inserted 4 new 3TB disks into the bays of my Mac Pro (2012), and there is no RAID option for them.
    How I got here:
    Inserted the WD Red drives, and they were not initiated.
    I "erased" the drives, gave them names, and they appear in Disk Utility in grey drives. 
    Went to set up the RAID, and move the drives into the RAID, but got an error that they could not be used.
    It appears to me that disk utility is not allowing me to fully use those drives. I Have created RAID drives before with no issue in RAID1 with 3TB drives before on this machine. Am perplexed, I thought this to be the easy and simple part of my upgrade odyssey! Did I screw up the initialization? On all FOUR drives?
    Now, if I click on the drives, the RAID option does not present itself.
    FWIW, I am using OS X 10.9.5, on Mac Pro 5,1. I boot from PCIe card. My end goal is to create a 4-disk RAID 10 using the four SATA connections on the MP.

    It was really pretty simple based on your feedback, I powered down, removed the drives from the SATA backplane, moved each drive separately to the USB enclosure, then re-"erased" in OSX-Etended.  I ejected each drive when finished, and moved to the next one until all four were re-"erased".  Then I restarted the Mac with all four in the SATA connections, and all four were visible and had the RAID option tab.  I created the three RAID schemes (two stripe and one mirror), and dragged the drives into the RAID option.  Then I hit "create" or some other command to finish the RAID.
    Note that I did get an error on the RAID creation.  From memory, this was "cannot create RAID without an unmounted disk" or something like that.  I cleared the error, and then opened back up Disk Utility.  All the RAIDs were listed, and were operational with the green "On" signal.  I could read/write/transfer from the RAID.  Once I transfer the data to this RAID, I will work on a way to test it, but if any risk to the data, I might just leave well enough alone.
    For now, it seems I have a fully functional RAID 1+0 using the four HDD on the SATA connections in my Mac Pro 5,1.

    We have set up a new Operating Unit in Oracle Apps. Now when I am trying to create a new Customer in that Operating Unit, I am receiving following error:
    ERROR MESSAGE:-Please set the Receivables system options for this operating unit and ensure that the MO: Operating Unit profile option is correctly set with an operating unit that is set up in Receivables.
    We do have MO: Operating Unit and MO: Default Operating Unit set properly at Responsibility level for the Responsibility through which I am accessing this form.
