New Speedgrade CC keeps crashing as the program launches. The last version ran fine. I'm using a Macbook Pro with (10.7.5) 8 gigs of ran. Help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm having this same issue with Direct Link with the most recent versions of Premiere and SG. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling both apps along with a system restart. Nothing fixes it. I DO NOT have any third party plugins for premiere installed. I have a couple VideoCopilot plugins for After Effects on the maching, just Optical Flares and Element 3D. Wehn I use the Direct Link feature it will crash SpeedGrade. If I open JUST SpeedGrade and import some video clips into the timeline it runs fine. It seems to only have issues when I try opening a Premiere timeline within SpeedGrade.
I am running it on a Series 7 Chronos Samsung Laptop with 12GB of RAM and a 3.2 Core i7 Processor. The Graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 650M with 2GB of dedicated video memory. I feel my specs are more than enough to run the programs succesfully.
If I need to provide log files, I would be happy to do that, but I will need to be instructed on how to do that.
Any other questions about how I am using the software or any other details about my hardware, just let me know. I hope to get this fixed soon as I am about to cancel my subscription to CC. The issues I have had with CC are starting to affect my business and it is costing me more money than I would like. Please let me know if you have a fix or have had a similar issue that you have found a solution for.

First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

SpeedGrade CS6 keeps crashing on render

I have a Macbook Pro with 2.6 GHz i7 with 16 gb of ram updated to the latest OS X (10.8.5)
SpeedGrade CS6 keeps crashing on rendering. I have selected a couple of output options (h.264, ProRes, and uncompressed), but none work. I believe I have the latest update to the software (I believe 6.0.4), and I don't know if this has anything to do with the OS or the program itself.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I have checked the forums, but they haven't really helped that much for me.
EDIT: To add further, I have restarted my computer and I have rendered video successfully in the past. This just started happening today.

I'm rendering WMVs. I am not running out of disk space. I have tired various clips to render with (I'm assuming source files are the files I edit to render). What are comp settings?

IOS 6 keeps crashing non-native programs

I recently upgraded my iPod touch to iOS 6 and non-native programs keep crashing. Important programs that I need for work!! I took it to that Applestore and an employee told me that I just have to wait for the non-native program writers to send me updates.
Can I just switch back to the old OS?

All we can say in this Apple forum is that downgrading the IOS is not support by Apple.
Sometimes this works, at least for some apps.
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Brand new imac 27" keeps crashing randomly in mavericks while idling, using firefox, transferring files, etc. Reformatted and reinstalled everything from scratch after 15 plus crashes a day. Crashes now only 4 times a day. Help!

Brand new imac 27" keeps crashing. I'm running 10.9.2 with all software up to date. It will crash on file tranfers to/from/between external drives, web browsing, word processing, video editing, and even while idling. It used to crash every 15 minutes when I first got it but I reformatted and reinstalled all software. Now it it still crashing albeit less often. This is extremely frustrating because I have no idea what I can do to prevent it from happening!
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm thanks for the input. Alright. I uninstalled Avast. Was good for an hour or so. I was doing some file browsing and crashed again. Got this message.

Using Adobe CS4 on Windows side of new Imac: It keeps crashing..Help!!!

I just bought a new 2009 Imac G5, 24in screen, desktop version, 3.06 GHZ Processor, 4 GB ram, 1TB of Storage. I used Boot Camp to split the hard drive down the middle (500 GB for each side) and I installed Windows XP service pack 3.
My company gave me the new version of Adobe CS4 for Windows (brand new) and after a successful install, the programs tend to crash often. Especially Flash. Photoshop crashed as soon as I opened it up and it was a small file I was working with. What the heck is going on here people???? It's all new stuff.
Anyone have a similar issue??? It's annoying and frustrating and has prevented me from getting a lot of work accomplished, so any help or advice would be great.

On a separate note(this is not a question just a comment): some of the Adobe fonts that come standard with the CS4 did not install properly and were not recognized by my computer. This is because of the Imac's graphics processor. I called Adobe and they had to manually walk me through the process (in Windows)of getting the processor to read the fonts. It was crazy and actually, it was not their responsibility to do this...the woman was just being extra nice. FYI

Plug the device into a wall outlet and leave it for about 20 minutes. If it has not powered on at that point try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for about 15 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

How do I get the "new tab" request to simply open with a blank address in the address box instead of www.imesh.com.

Ok, I finally managed to get rid of it.
First I did the thing with the about:config but I flitered for imesh instead and managed to reset two thing but when I got to the keyword.URL I got the same thing as lolbabe98 did with the "An attempt to change your search engine or homepage was blocked."
Then I did a search on my C: drive for iMesh and discovered some things that hadn't been removed even though I had unistalled both the toolbar and the actual program. After that it worked fine and I now have a regular "untitled" tab when I open a new tab.
One last thing, when I tried to remove some of the files there was one that said it was in use, it was called datamanagerUI or something rather. The only thing I had to do there was to open Task Manager and kill a process called DATAMN~1 and I was able to remove it. Hope this helps.

My new MacBook Air keeps shutting down the screen while I use it and has to be rebooted. I took it in to the Genius desk at my local store, but they couldn't find anything wrong and said that they have never seen this problem before.
I Spoke to the IT support guy at work. He has the same problem with his new MacBook, but not with his older one. He suggested that it is a software issue with all new MacBooks and is connected to the timing of it going into sleep mode. Does anybody have a solution? Apple doesn't seem to have one.

What is the exact spec of the clips that cause the problem?
(Open one of the files with QuickTime and press Cmd+i to open the Inspector - then report back with the what it says).
