Nexus: HSRP on vrf vlan - Active Nexus cannot ping physical ip and VIP but Standby can
Hi Cisco experts,
Has anybody experienced this kind of problem with HSRP on vrf vlan, wherein the Active Nexus cannot ping the its own Physical IP and VIP from Global vrf to Internal VRF but it can ping the physical ip of the standby. While on the Standby you can ping all ( Physical of Active, VIP, and its own physical IP.
Hope you can help me on this matter. See attached ping test for clearer view. I can show the config if needed just request.
Thanks all.
yes you need it.
This is how you assign the serverfarm to the vip.

My dad bought an ipad 2 of my uncle for cheap since its a little broken but i tried to earse the ipad so all the password and thing from my uncle go away but i was stuck on the activation when i need an email and password but my uncle cant remember it because he has medical problems and he does not remember the email since he has alot of emails he thinks he remembers the password since he always keep the same password. So does anyone know what i can do because the ipad is locked and my parents are like very mad at me xD

Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, you will have to recover the email and password used to activate it. -
i downloaded 3 songs to my pc and sync'd my ipod and the songs do not tranfer. is this related to not having the proper itunes version vs ios? I cannot get the songs to sync, but I can move other songs to different playlists and they sync fine...any ideas what's wrong?
Hi Dennis!
I have a couple of steps for you to try in order to get those songs transferred to your iPod touch. First, make sure all of your software is updated with the latest versions. If the songs were downloaded from iTunes, you will also want to delete the songs from your library and then download them again from the list of past purchases on your iTunes account. An article about doing that can be found here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you try a sync after those two steps and are still seeing the issue, then I would like you to try syncing the iPod by setting it to manually manage. An article outlining more information on manually managing your iPod sync can be found here:
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1535
If you are still having issues after that, I have another article that can outline some other reasons why your songs may not transfer to your iPod, and it can be found here:
Some songs in iTunes won't copy to iPod
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1420

I cannot receive emails on my ipad but I can send them. When I try to fetch emails a pop up box tells me to says verify your incoming email setting in settings. I have, it is correct as I am receiving emails on my iPhone with the same incoming address. I have tried deleting it and putting it in again but that does work. The wifi is working fine when using the Internet. Has anyone any ideas what is happening and how I can rectify the problem?

Cheers, Tom -
I just got my Ipad and I can not download apps. I get a message saying my Apple ID has been disabled. I have reset my password, I can access itunes and icloud but still can not download apps. Can someone please tell me how to get my ID activated? TY
Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it -
My youngest erased all content and settings on my iphone 4s (prepaid) and now it says it is not activated.I still have my account and number, but it says phone number unknown now.How do i fix this?.
If you haven't already tried, see if you can force it into recovery mode to restore it:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. If that doesn't work, the last thing you can try is to put it in DFU mode to restore it: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2648467?threadID=2648467&tstart=0. -
Cisco ASA 5505 Cannot ping local traffic and local hosts cannot get out
I have, what I believe to be, a simple issue - I must be missing something.
Site to Site VPN with Cisco ASA's. VPN is up, and remote hosts can ping the inside int of ASA (10.51.253.209).
There is a PC (10.51.253.210) plugged into e0/1.
I know the PC is configured correctly with Windows firewall tuned off.
The PC cannot get to the ouside world, and the ASA cannot ping 10.51.253.210.
I have seen this before, and I deleted VLAN 1, recreated it, and I could ping the local host without issue.
Basically, the VPN is up and running but PC 10.51.253.210 cannot get out.
Any ideas? Sanitized Config is below. Thanks !

1500Hi Martin,
Which way you are trying. Sending traffic via site to site is not working or traffic which you generate to outside world is not working?
But you say ASA connected interface to PC itself is not pinging that is strange. But try setting up the specific rules for the outgoing connection and check. Instead of not having any ACL.
If it is outside world the you may need to check on the NAT rules which is not correct.
If it is site to site then you may need to check few other things.
Please do rate for the helpful posts.

HT1277 I cannot send email from my mac but I can from my iPad and iphone
Hi Guys,
Suddenly I cannot send email from my Mac. I can however receive emails.
I can send emails with the same settings from my iPad and iPhone.
Please help!!Your settings for the SMTP server — host name, port number, SSL/TLS or not, or login credentials — are likely incorrect. Use the Connection Doctor tool (Mail.app > Window > Connection Doctor) to check what's going on with the connections (and to get some diagnostic messages), then review the diagnostics and the current settings with the requirements established for your particular mail provider.

Cannot ping or FTP other computer, but can access WEB
I just finish installing Solaris 10. I setup the proxy information and I can browse thru the web. But I cannot ping or FTP to other computers and this computers can't also ping my Solaris.
What I'm missing?
Thanks.I just finish installing Solaris 10. I setup the
proxy information and I can browse thru the web. Since you don't describe it, we don't know anything about your network configuration or why you're using a proxy.
But
I cannot ping or FTP to other computers and this
computers can't also ping my Solaris.Perhaps all traffic that doesn't go through the web proxy is blocked?
What I'm missing? Do you have reason to believe that ping should work between your host and external machines (you don't mention which machines you're having trouble pinging).

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I managed to get a few Time Machine Back Ups before I passed away
I'm not sure whether a ghost can do this, but if you were still alive, you could do as follows.
First make sure you have read & write access to the folder you're trying to restore to. You should be able to see its contents in the Finder, and to move files in and out of it.
This is an exception to the rule that you should never make any changes to backup data. I've tested this procedure in OS X 10.8 only. It should work with later versions, but I don't know whether it works in earlier versions. Use it only for files that were backed up from your home folder, or a folder on another volume created by you, and would normally be writable by you. Do not touch backups of system or application files.
In the Finder (not in the time-travel view), navigate to the backup volume, then to the folder named "Backups.backupdb", and then to the snapshot you want to restore from. The snapshots are folders labeled with the date when they were created. Inside each of those folders is a file hierarchy like the one on the volume that was backed up. Descend through the hierarchy until you come to a folder named "Users," and inside that, a folder with your user name. The procedure will be different if you're trying to restore files on another volume.
Select the folder and open the Info dialog (command-I). Click the padlock icon in the lower right corner of the window and authenticate. In the Sharing & Permissions section, give your account Read & Write access. You may have to close the dialog and repeat this step in order for the change to show up. Then click the gear icon and select
Apply to Enclosed Items
from the popup menu.
Try the restore operation again, in the time-travel interface. -
