No acceptable type column

Hello,
I have in oracle a function:
create or replace FUNCTION F_MAX_NET_PROFIT(todayNetProfit IN NUMBER, theDate IN DATE) RETURN BOOLEAN AS
v_max MAX_NET_PROFIT.MAX_VALUE%TYPE;
v_answer BOOLEAN;
BEGIN
SELECT MAX_VALUE INTO v_max FROM MAX_NET_PROFIT WHERE ID_PK = 1;
IF todayNetProfit >= v_max THEN
UPDATE MAX_NET_PROFIT SET MAX_VALUE = todayNetProfit, ON_DATE = theDate WHERE ID_PK = 1;
v_answer := TRUE;
ELSE
v_answer := FALSE;
END IF;
RETURN v_answer;
END F_MAX_NET_PROFIT;
in NetBeans IDE I run the code:
try
// Τα καθαρά κέρδη της ημέρας χώρις να έχουν αφαιρεθεί έξοδα που
// αφορούν μεγαλύτερες χρονικές περιόδους π.χ. συντήρηση.
double netProfit2 = (fares - (fixedCosts + oil));
CallableStatement cs = connection.prepareCall("{? = call F_MAX_NET_PROFIT(?, ?)}");
cs.registerOutParameter(1, Types.BOOLEAN);
cs.setDouble(2, netProfit2);
cs.setDate(3, new Date(calendar.getTimeInMillis()), calendar);
cs.execute();
} catch (SQLException ex)
System.out.println(ex.getMessage());
but the line:
cs.registerOutParameter(1, Types.BOOLEAN);
throws a SQLException withe the message in greek:
Μη αποδεκτός τύπος στήλης (in english is something like this: no acceptable type column)
Ioannis P.

The Oracle JDBC driver does not support the PL/SQL BOOLEAN data type. One option is to use JPublisher to generate a wrapper procedure that replaces BOOLEAN with INTEGER. You would then invoke the wrapper. The wrapper will invoke your original procedure transforming the BOOLEAN return value into an equivalent INTEGER (0 for false, 1 for true).

  • Type Column for Email is not coming in Business context

    Hi All,
    I have enhanced the component ICCMP_BT_BCXT.
    I am able to get the required values in business context.
    I get hyperlinks in the TYPE column for customer follow-up/interaction record.
    But when email is sent then TYPE column does not show the hyperlink as Email.
    Other details like key/description are occuring for email.
    Any pointers on how to get the hyperlink for Email.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gauri.

    Hi,
    by default when you get the hyperlink for interations record/followup document, its logical because on click on this hyperlink, system takes you to the interaction record/Followup document that is linked.
    If you set it to email, and if we provide hyperlink to it, where should it navigate on click of the hyperlink ?
    Its very easy to provide the hyperlink however it is very important to know what is required on click of the hyperlink, to give the right design .
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to change recordset bahaviour to accept dynamic column names in the where clause

    Hi
    im using php-mysql and i make a recordset and i want to make the column names in the where clause to be dynamic like
    "select id,name from mytable where $tablename-$myvar";
    but when i do this my i break the recordset and it disappear
    and when i use variables from advanced recordset it only dynamic for the value of the column not for the column name
    and when i write the column name to dynamic as above by hand it truns a red exclamation mark on the server behaviour panel
    so i think the only way is to change the recordset behaviour is it? if so How to make it accept dynamic column names?
    thanks in advance.

    As bregent has already explained to you, customizing the recordset code will result in Dreamweaver no longer recognizing the server behavior. This isn't a problem, but it does mean that you need to lay out your dynamic text with the Bindings panel before making any changes. Once you have changed the recordset code, the Bindings panel will no longer recognize the recordset fields.
    Using a variable to choose a column name is quite simple, but you need to take some security measures to ensure that the value passed through the query string isn't attempting SQL injection. An effective way of doing this is to create an array of acceptable column names, and check that the value matches.
    // create array of acceptable values
    $valid = array('column_name1', 'column_name2', 'column_name3');
    // if the query string contains an acceptable column name, use it
    if (isset($_GET['colname']) && in_array($_GET['colname'], $valid)) {
      $col = $GET['colname'];
    } else {
      // set a default value if the submitted one was invalid
      $col = 'column_name1'
    You can then use $col directly in the SQL query.

    1. Export and import
    2. Sql*Plus 'copy' command
    It is a good idea to move from 'LONG' to 'CLOB'.

  • How to change data type of content type column.

    Hi all,
    I am having one content type. I have 10 columns in it. There are two rich text columns in my content type. I have attached this content type to pages library. I want to change the data type of this rich text column  to "Full
    HTML content with formatting and constraints for publishing".
    Please assist me with this issue.
    amol

    Hi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to change the data type for rich text column in content type.
    The field type of Full HTML content with formatting and constraints for publishing is "Invalid", you could refer to this article:https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.spfieldtype.aspx.
    You also could test it by create a Full HTML content with formatting and constraints for publishing column and get the its type with C# code below:
    //change the URL to your SharePoint site
    using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://sp/sites/sharepoint2013"))
    using (SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb())
    SPFieldType type = web.Fields["Column name"].Type;
    I have tested it with the PowerShell, it cannot hange the rich text column to “Full HTML content with formatting and constraints for publishing” column. If you want to edit the rich text column, you could not change the type of the column as the screenshot
    below:
    As a workaround, you could follow these steps to accomplish your requirement:
    Create a “Full HTML content with formatting and constraints for publishing” type column in the content type.
    Enter your site columns by clicking gear icon -> Site Settings -> Site columns under Web Designer Galleries under section.
    Find and delete the rich text column you want to change.
    Find the column you have created in step 1, and change the column’s name to the name of the text column you have deleted in step 3.
    But you will lose the data of the rich text column in pages library with this method.
    Best Regards,

  • Vendors listing including Tax Type column

    Hi Gurus,
    Please help.  I am a SD biz analyst so I am not familiar with FI-CO.
    My customer is asking me if he can print a Vendor Listing including a Tax Type column so he can verify if all Vendor Tax Types have been assigned properly.
    The accounting manager wants to make sure that all 1099 MISC, W8 and W9 vendors are clasified correctly and he is not missing any vendor from the master file
    Regards,
    Marco

    Thx Kenneth. I tried S_ALR_87012086 with all options related to Tax but I am not getting the Tax Type column I want. I am getting Tax Code, Tax Number .... etc. but I am not getting the Tax Type.
    Tax Type in the US is commonly used to identify Vendors which will be getting the 1099-MISC, W9 or W8 tax forms at the end of the year.
    Any other report?

  • Varchar Type column value  too large  ERROR (ORA-12899)

    Hi,
    I'm using Build *"ODI_11.1.1.3.0_GENERIC_100623.1635"*
    I'm trying to move data from SQL SERVER 2005 to Oracle DB 11.2.
    Integration Knowledge Module is : IKM SQL INCREMENTAL UPDATE
    Loading Knowledge Module : LKM SQL TO ORACLE
    The problem is in VARCHAR type column with length 20.
    The target column type is VARCHAR2 , length 20.
    Integration fails on the LOADING STEP with message : java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "DW_WORKUSER"."C$_10PLFACT"."C65_SOURCENO" *(actual: 26, maximum: 20)*
    Column mapping is executed on the Source.
    In column mapping I'm not using any convertion, casting or any other logic, I'm just moving my column to the target table.
    Can anyone make some suggestions ?

    Hi,
    This is due to bytes not chars. On your SQL server db you can have multibyte characters (as you can elsewhere). You may need to modify the C$/I$ and your target tables to bytes rather than chars. You may also want to check the CHARACTER_SETS that are used on the source and target.
    eg
    VARCHAR2(20 BYTE)

  • Can't select char type columns using ODBC link to SQL Server 2K

    I have set up a db link using hsodbc from 8.1.7 to SQL Server 2000. I can select numeric and date columns from the
    SQL Server table with no problem. But any character datatype (nchar or nvchar) column name included in the query
    returns an ORA-00904 ("invalid column name"). I know the column names are valid for SQL Server and can access
    these columns via EXCEL using the same user id and data source that is used for the link. I don't have a clue as to why ORACLE can't "see" the character type columns. Following is the hs trace file (HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = debug) generated for "select assay_name from bio_assay@sqlsrvl":

    Note, the query I entered doesn't appear and I never entered the query "select * from bio_assay" - it appears that this is
    automatically generated by the hsodbc process and raises other questions (like wouldn't this return a lot of unneeded
    data ?). It also appears that the "select * from bio_assay" gets translated somehow into a select statement listing each column - however, non of the columns listed are character type columns like assay_name.
    Does this make sense to anyone? Any ideas ? HELP !

    Remote view gives the same error. I think the problem has to do with nchar and nvchar fields. It seems that the hsodbc agent issues a "select * from bio_assay" at the beginning of the session (see above trace).
    0) odbc_rec: select * from "BIO_ASSAY"
    (0) Silent DB Function!!
    (0) nvOUT (P:\Src\QP\QPT2SEXE.C 929):
    (0) SELECT "T0000"."WH_ADDED_DATE" AS c00010, "T0000"."ASSAY_MODIFIED_TIME" AS c0009, "T0000"."ASSAY_CREATED_TIME" AS c0008, "T0000"."ASSAY_DATE_COMPLETED" AS c0007, "T0000"."ASSAY_DATE_PLANNED" AS c0006, "T0000"."ASSAY_DATE_STARTED" AS c0005, "T0000"."ASSAY_STATUS_NO" AS c0004, "T0000"."TIMEFRAME_KEY" AS c0003, "T0000"."TARGET_KEY" AS c0002, "T0000"."ENVIRONMENT_KEY" AS c0001, "T0000"."ASSAY_KEY" AS c0000 FROM "BIO_ASSAY" T0000
    Apparently, the list of fields that is returned from the "select *" does not include any of the nchar or nvchar type columns. After this initial "select *" the oracle server only looks at the initial list of columns and gives an "invalid column" error for any fields that are not in this initial list. So the question is: how do I make the hsodbc agent see the nchar/nvchar type fields and include them in the initial list ? I've tried setting the HS_NLS_LANGUAGE and HS_NLS_NCHAR parameters but these seem to have no effect.
    Any clue as to what's going on ?

  • Help on how to set value on LinkButton type column

    Hello,
    Can I programmatically set a value on Item No. in matrix on Sales Quotation which is of type SAPbouiCOM.LinkedButton?
    This code helped me set values to an edittext type column
    Dim et As SAPbouiCOM.EditText = oMatrix.Columns.Item(matrixColumnID).Cells.Item(rowNumber).Specific
    et.Value = value
    Dim et As SAPbouiCOM.LinkedButton = oMatrix.Columns.Item(matrixColumnID).Cells.Item(rowNumber).Specific
    How can set value for the Item No.?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sheetal

    Just treat the Item No. column as an EditText for purposes of setting its value.
        Dim sboEdit As SAPbouiCOM.EditText
        Set sboEdit = sboMatrix.Columns("1").Cells(lngRow).Specific
        sboEdit.Value = "XXXXXX"

  • How to insert in long data type column

    I would like to know how could I insert data in a long data type column.

    Don't use LONG, use CLOB instead. You can write to CLOBs using the DBMS_LOB package.
