No drop box support??

Any way to leverage the updated export options in conjunction with dropbox??

Would have suggested box.net for iwork docs ( the cloud is the coud to me) however I can't get them to work with webdav yet. Think it will be a good choice if/ when it does.

Drop Box folder in the Public folder not showing on the network

Hi everyone,
I am running a MacBook Pro 2010 running OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion. We have an office and multiple mac computers connected to our network. For us to transfer files we use the Drop Box folder inside the Public folder (We do not use the dropbox website/service). We would use the finder and click on the computer on the sidebar, open the Drop Box folder and drag files in with no hassel. However my Drop Box folder is not showing up when other users are trying to access my computer via the network.
My file sharing is on and I have attached an image with the settings I am using. I have compared these settings to other macs in the office that have a working Drop Box folder and they match. Hope you guys can help me.

Drag and Drop not supported in TextBox in Automation

Hi All, This is regarding the drag and drop functionality support in text box in Flex automation. I am using the automation API of Flex. since our application is having multiple modules, I had to use the automation swc given as an attachment in the JIRA Issue 1088. ( bugs.adobe.com/jira/browser/FlexEnt-1088) But these swc are not recording drag and drop on to text box. I tried adding the drag and drop events to the AutoQuickEnv.xml for textbox ; but in vain. I've installed NW 7.02 ABAP trial within a win x 64 VM on an ESXi 4.1 VMWare Server.
NSP is running - but shows also the problem described in this thread.
So I tried to solve this issue by applying note1576441 - logged on as BCUSER.
BUT:
I need ACCESS KEYs to modify the relevant SAP objects.
My question:
Where can I get the appr. ACCESS KEYs for the SAP objects I've to correct as described within note 1576441?
Do I have logged on as DDIC or SAP* or ...*
Would be great if you or anyone of this community has a hint acc. to this issue!

Drop Box question

Hi,
It's a holiday on this side of the planet and so I can't call tech support.
I have Buffalo's Link Theatre which is compatible with Mac. How it should work is that I connect the folders I want to have access into the Drop Box and I access them on the Link Theatre. It's not working. My main source for Drop Box information is in the attached link. I was wondering if there were any tricks or additional advice anyone could give me.

I am not familiar with the Buffalo's Link Theatre and there appears to be a lack of instructions on the web for configuring it so you may need to supply a little more info, like what isn't working.
There are a couple of things you can check. First is your OS X Firewall on? If so try turning it off. Can you access the Drop Box from another computer and transfer files to it? I assume that the BLT has an IP address on the network and there is a way of getting that info from it in which case, on the Mac open HD/Applications/Utilities/Network Utility/Ping and type in <IP address of BLT> and click Ping. Hopefully you will get some data bounce back to prove it can be seen on the network. Alternatively you could use Angry IP from here http://www.angryip.org/w/Home to check your network

Flash Player itself is designed to play SWF content as a browser plugin or as an ActiveX control (when it's IE Windows).
There is a standalone Flash Player, but that's something Adobe provides directly as a feature of Flash CS4 Professional. It gets installed with Flash. We have made some standalone players available on http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html, but not all (and I don't know why. Looking into it)
There are numerous 3rd party standalone SWF players out there though. Some designed to just play video, others that play full SWF. I suggest a google search of 'play SWF standalone' and read the results.
On the Mac, consumers who want to play SWF content off their desktop can use the Adobe Media Player. You can import a local SWF (and FLV and other video) and play it in AMP. Get it here:

Also correct what you wrote but I have had so many issues ,with my more than fast reliable with the highest specs MBP, got that firesoved with great help from Apple support, than Ableton (music production program started to play up for no reason at all, so Ableton support solved about 80 % of it, lost all my pass words on my non jailbroken iPhone 5s that can not be restored via iCloud, for that you need yosemity. My work passion and to keep sane is producing music, Ableton is not ready for yosemity therefor I stick with Mountain Lion (I am also a manager of a big shop :-( ) I password gave my as the only solution first to sync with dropbox via drop box to iPhone. Not big fan of drop box and as I know that Drop Bopx can take and use quite a bit of tour broadband (i wish, I am in Thailand) but wifi so all this stuff first with my Mac, Ableton 1 Password, Dropbox, I always triy do resolve it my self witch at least takes me a day or longer. So loosing my wifi my tired but simple way of thinking is Drop Box is using all the wifi in the background.
Just to make things a little more clear. Just lost my patience completely, 10 hours behind the comp 5 hours sleep , does nobody any good.

There is absolutely no connection between Dropbox and any email account. Installing Dropbox cannot be the cause of your email issues.
Check your email settings, and contact Virgin support for assistance.

How can another user on my system share their document if they cannot access a public drop box, do not have an email account setup on the system and we don't want to use iwork?

Please help. My DS created a document under his login on my PowerBook and now, I cannot seem to access it. He doesn't have an email account of his own, I can't seem to save it as a public document in a drop box like I can from my own login and we do not want to use iwork. Is there a way to save it so that I can access it from my login to email to his teacher. I don't want to have to retype it into Pages under my login.

Save the document from his account to an external drive or thumb drive.
Set the permissions (using Finder > Get Info) for "Everyone" to Read and Write.
Your DS will likely be the owner of the file, so you may need his login password to change the permissions.

Unable to see Shared Folder / Drop Box on wired LAN

I am unable to connect to another Mac on my wired LAN (Netgear wndr3700), and it is unable to connect to my machine. We cannot see each others’ Public Folder / Drop Box.
We can see each others Macs in the Shared section of the Finder’s sidebar, but trying to connect fails: “The server … may not exist or it is unavailable at this time…”
Both are running 10.6.4 Snow Leopard SL. No Windows machines on the LAN - so this should be AFP only.
We can see and connect to another Mac running 10.4.11 Tiger with no problem. BUT it is unable to connect to either 10.6.4 machine.
Firewall on both machines: On; File Sharing (AFP) set to “Allow incoming connections”; Stealth mode Enabled (toggling doesn’t change); “Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections” is Off; “Block all incoming connections” is Off. Some other apps and services are set to Block… (krb5kdc, numbed, smbd…) AppleFileServer is set to Allow.
Sharing: File Sharing Service only is On:
Hard Drive - Everyone - Read & Write
Users - Everyone - Read Only
~ (My Home Directory) - Everyone - Read Only
Public - Everyone - Read & Write
Drop Box - Everyone - Write only

It isn't directly related to the firewall, I'm having the same problem between two up to date machines, and to be sure, I have disabled the firewall on both. however, If i connect using the connect to server dialogue, I get through just fine. I believe it could be a dns resolution problem.

Just tested, check in advanced network settings, and if you have any wins servers listed, remove them.
krb5kdc needs to be allowed to accept connections, for me it popped up in little snitch when it was authenticating.

Can't delete file from my public drop box

Files were copied to my own drop box folder at ~/public/drop box/ and when I want to delete them it says it is locked. I can't unlock because I don't have permission. If I look at the permissions I see "fetching: custom, fetching: read and write, everyone: read only". The file is also locked and I can't unlock it. I tried using terminal to "sudo chmod" or "sudo chown" but it still says I don't don't have access. "ls -l" shows -rw-------+ 1 staff. "id" shows that I am a member of staff (uid=502(andrew) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff)). OS is 10.10.1. What do I do now?

I managed to fix it. On the drop box folder itself I changed the permission for staff from write only to read & write and then applied to enclosed items.

No drop box support??
