Node.getTextContent not found?!

Question

Hi,
I got a big trouble in parsing xml. I don't know why I can't use the getTextContent method. I'm using JBuilder 2006, and also updated run time enviorment.
I found the same issue from forum, however, they said getTextContent method only exist in Dom Level3, what does it mean?
Do I need to update some library or ...

Yes, the above code works great. But for me I need to visualize why before it comes smoothly in the code. A node/element is a tag, attributes are just what they sound like, however the data within the tag is a child node of the tag....confused? this may or may not help:
consider this xml structure, set as a node in the below code
<tag attribute1="attr">value</tag>
node.getNodeName = "tag"
node.getNodeValue = null
// Get the attributes of <tag></tag>
node.getAttributes() = myNamedNodeMap;
anotherNode = myNamedNodeMap.item(0);
anotherNode.getNodeName = "attribute1"
anotherNode.getNodeValue = "attr"
//now lets get the "value" of <tag></tag>
myNodeList = node.getChildNodes();
oneMoreNode = myNodeList.item(0);
oneMoreNode.getNodeName() = null
oneMoreNode.getNodeValue() = "value"Hope this helped someone, I am a visual person so unless I can draw a picture I can have a hard time explaining things.
