Nonresident Duty Day Reporting

Due to statutory requirements, when employees work for a certian time period in a state other than there home state, we need to make sure that we tax them for the time worked in the other (nonresident) state.    For example, if my home state is NY, but I spend a week working in OH, then we need the SAP HR Payroll system to tax for my time spent in OH.   We are currently creating infotype 208 entries manually based on a report that indicates when employees have worked in another state.   This process is causing issues, however, because when a retro occurs, the employee is then getting taxed for payments other than regular wages for the other state, i.e. OH.   We only want to tax the employee for regular wages earned in the non-resident state, we don't want to tax them for special payments or bonues earned during that timeframe.  Is there another (automated) way to handle this in SAP?  How are other companies handling this?   Any comments would be greatly appreciated.... thank you ....
Linda

Hi.. we handled it through an actions (working in other state and return from work state) cos this needed some modification in benifits infotypes also along with maintaining 208.. (Work Tax Area). We sequenced the infotypes needed through an action

  • A better way to run a 7 day report?

    Using Crystal Reports 11
I am hoping there is a better way of running a seven day report that i have to run weekly
In the report i have it set when refreshing the document, the "Prompt for new parameter values" comes up and there is a date field for start and end
This is how i did it
I made a formula called "Date" this comes from the closed date of our accounts
I made a Parameter Field "Start Date" with the TYPE field is "Date"
I made a Parameter Field "End Date" with the TYPE field is "Date"
I made a Select Expert Using data from the "ClosedDate" in the first drop down I picked "Formula" and used this as the formula
    {WH_ACCTCOMMON.CLOSEDATE} in {?Start Date} to {?End Date}
    Two things
    1. Is there a way to have "Prompt for new parameters values" as the default checked off box when clicking "Refresh"?
    2. Is there a way to only enter a start date and the refresh would just run 7 days without entering a end date?

    Hi,
    Here's a suggestion for question 1:
When you preview the report for 1st time there is no prompt window that asks you to select whether you wish to 'Use current values' or 'Prompt for new values'.
If the Preview window is open and you hit refresh again, this is when you get the pop-up with the above options. If you close the Preview window and refresh again, you would not get a pop-up and it will show the Prompt window instead.
For question 1, you can follow Alun's sugestions.

  • Extending Power Consumption by Day report to more than 31 days

    Hi
I need to provide some information to management about computer activity on different days of the week in our environment. My first thought was the Power Management reports in SCCM and the 'Power Consumption by Day' report seems to fit what I'm after pretty
well. The only problem is that the report only covers a 31 day period and I need to increase this.
I found this line: set @reportStartDate = DATEADD(Day, -31, @reportEndDate ) in DataSet one for this report and assumed I could just increase the number from -31. However, when I attempt to edit this, or indeed edit any part of this report,
when I try to save it I get an error:
'More than one report item in the report has the name 'image1'. Report item names must be unique within a report.'
As I mentioned, this error appears if I try to edit and save any change within this report whereas I can do the same on other Power Mangement reports no problem. So it looks like an issue with this particular canned report.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get round this? As far as I'm aware the report files are not available in a directory on the server but are stored in the database so I wouldn't know how to go about looking for this duplicate 'image1'.
If there is an alternative solution that doesn't involve using this report I'm open to anything.
    Thanks in advance

Actually the power management reports are stored on the site server. They can be found under <Install director>\Reports\Power Management within the cab file. You can exact them and edit them.. I recommend that you made a copy of
the report and don’t over write the existing report.

    Great, I'll try looking there.

  • Excise Duty Paid and Excise Duty Payable Report

    Hi
Is there any standard report through which we can check the Excise Duty which is already paid and Excise duty which is payable for a posting period. If not any report then is there some table through which we can check this for a plant  for specific posting period.
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Amitesh Anand

    Dear Amitesh
The difference could be due to
    a)  different G/L Account assigned to the excise condition type / account key in OB40 settings
    b)  opening balance carried forward in J2IUN
Nevertheless you can also check in j2i9  which I forget to mention earlier.

  • Call of Duty Day Zero

Will their be a Sunday night midnight release for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? I see on the web site that there is one for Monday night, but it doesn't say anything about the 24 hour early release.
I understand that it varies store to store, but just wondering if this is even an option that Best Buy is doing. Otherwise, might have to pre-order elsewhere.

    Hi again Rachael181,
We are, indeed, hosting midnight opening events for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Day Zero version. Participating stores will open at 12:01 a.m. on November 3rd, and you can find additional details here.
Thanks for your interest in pre-ordering with us!

    Hi,
Please, check if this PO appears in COOI table. If it does, then everything allegedly is OK; if it does not try running OKKB transaction for this PO.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
Whenever you post a question, please include CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for some sample data. That way, people who want to help you can re-create the problem and test their ideas. Also post the results you want from that data. Simplify if possible. For example, if you need a query for all 24 hours in a day, you can post a question that only has data and results for maybe 3 hours. Adapting the result should be easy.
Always say which version of oracle you're using.
Since this is your first post, I'll post some sample data for you:
    CREATE TABLE     df_audit_branches
    (     sdate     DATE
    INSERT INTO df_audit_branches (sdate) VALUES (TO_DATE ('21-Jul-2011 00:00', 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI'));
    INSERT INTO df_audit_branches (sdate) VALUES (TO_DATE ('21-Jul-2011 00:01', 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI'));
    INSERT INTO df_audit_branches (sdate) VALUES (TO_DATE ('21-Jul-2011 02:02', 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI'));
INSERT INTO df_audit_branches (sdate) VALUES (TO_DATE ('22-Jul-2011 01:40', 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI'));And the results you want from that data might look like this:
    DAY         TXT
    21-Jul-2011    2   0   1
22-Jul-2011    0   1   0In the real problem, of course, you would need 24 "columns" in txt, not just 3.
To include all hours, even if there is no data for a particular hour, do an outer join to a "table" (I used a sub-query, all_hours, not a real table) that has one row per hour.
Here's one way to do that:
    WITH     got_cnt          AS
         SELECT       TRUNC (sdate)               AS day
         ,       TO_CHAR (sdate, 'HH24')     as hour
         ,       COUNT (*)               AS cnt
         FROM       df_audit_branches
         GROUP BY  TRUNC (sdate)
         ,       TO_CHAR (sdate, 'HH24')
    ,     all_hours     AS
         SELECT     LEVEL               AS n
         ,     TO_CHAR ( LEVEL - 1
                   , 'FM00'
                   )          AS hour
         FROM     dual
CONNECT BY     LEVEL <= 3     -- or 24, for the real query
    SELECT       c.day
    ,       REPLACE ( SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH ( TO_CHAR ( NVL (c.cnt, 0)
                                    , '999'
                )          AS txt
    FROM            all_hours     h
LEFT OUTER JOIN     got_cnt          c       PARTITION BY (day)
                             ON     c.hour     = h.hour
    WHERE     CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF     = 1
    START WITH     h.n     = 1
    CONNECT BY     h.n     = PRIOR h.n + 1
         AND     c.day     = PRIOR     c.day
    ORDER BY  c.day
;This will work in Oracle 10.1 (and up).

  • Reports 10g vs the good old days

Having been running reports from forms since the good/old client-server days, reports 10g is both a blessing and a curse. While it's certainly nice not to have to install software on each and every client box, since reports are now kept in cache on the middle tier app server until the cache hits its max size limitation, other users can issue a ?getjobid=nnn and just fish around for reports that others have run. In the good old days, a user would run a report locally on their desktop, that could be printed, and no one else could look at it. Does anyone out there know how or if a report run on the app server can be run just for the user who has access to it, and not be available to anyone who is "fishing" with getjobid? I'd really like to specify, if I could that the report be cached for just a few minutes. Essentially most of our users generate reports only needed by them and they are very dynamic in nature, so storing them isn't really necessary. Any ideas out there?
    Thanks in advance.

Use the EXPIRATION parameter to specify how long a report is kept in the cache. See the online help.
