Not Able to connect jdev 10g application database, after deployee to weblogic 10g
Hi,
I have and application build in developer 10g.(10.1.3.5) using ADF business component 10.1.3.43.6. i want deploy this application in web logic serve 10.3.4
After install ADF runtime my application was successfull deployed in web logic , But is not abble to connect with oracle database.
I get this line of error in web logic console: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jbo.domain.BlobDomain.
Any advise about this.
Thanks ervin.
oracle.jbo.domain.BlobDomain is not a WebLogic class, let alone
a WebLogic JDBC issue, so you need not do any DS reconfiguration...
You need to find out where the oracle.jbo classes are, and get them
into the WebLogic class path...

Not able to connect to Oracle B2B database after restart of my system
Hi
I am getting this problem. Because of this problem I reinstalled B2B in my system 4 times till now.
This time I want to resolve this problem instead of reinstalling.
1. I instsalled B2B successfully, able to conenc to database, done some configurations in Oracle B2B, everythign is fine.
2. Restarted my system, I have kept starting of this database process as automatic.
3. I stopped the metadatarepository and started again, when I am tryign to connec to B2B database it is giving the below error:
Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:
//B4b-5F-154-153Y.bdc4b.co.in:1521/orcl.bdc4b.co.in
I verified if it is taking the correct ORACLE_HOME for starting the database, it is correct,
I executed the below command:
lsnrctl seervices.
It is showing only the service, PLSExtProc. not the b2b database service: orcl.bdc4b.co.in.
tnsnames.ora is having the below two entries:
ORCL =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = B4b-5F-154-153Y.gdnindia.com)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)

EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = B4b-5F-154-153Y.gdnindia.com)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =

could anybody tell me what can be the problem.Hi Praveena,
This appears to be issue database connectivity
You might want to check if the listener is up. Also check for the error code.
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
this might of use to you:
Suddenly getting ORA-12514

Not able to connect JDev to weblogic
Hello
I just installed standalone weblogic production server (10.3.4) on a server. I am able to access the weblogic console from the server machine but I am not able to access the weblogic console from my machine.
I tried with the http://ipaddress:7001/console and http://hostname:7001/console but still doesn't work.
I can ping the server from my machine and it works fine.
(On my production server for the adf_domain -->adminserver i don't have any listen address but i don't think this can be a problem)
(I can swear it i am able to connect my local JDev to that weblogic server first time successfully but after that i am not able to connect my local jdev as well)
Does it sound like an weblogic related problem or server related issue?
Any help will be grealy appreciated...
-RajIn the absence of more information I suggest that you check if there is a local firewall running on the machine and make sure that the WebLogic Server is started.
The command netstat will show on which NIC and on which port the server listens.

Not able to connect to remote MySQL database using Connector/J
I have an application that uses a connection pool for database access.
It is initialized with this context.xml entry:
The db server is running on port 3307.
<Resource name="jdbc/DB" auth="Container"
type="javax.sql.DataSource" username="un" password="pw"
removeAbandoned="true" removeAbandonedTimeout="60" logAbandoned="true"
driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3307/myDB"
maxActive="8" maxIdle="4"/>Now after starting the context, I can see I have a connection to my database using the MySQL Administrator. So I know I am connecting.
The problem is, when I try to query any table in the db, I get this message:
java.sql.SQLException
: Table myDB.TABLE_NAME' doesn't exist
at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.checkErrorPacket(
MysqlIO.java:2921) ...
I know it does in fact exist because I am looking at it. And the code I am using works perfectly fine as long as it is running on a local db server.
Any ideas?I know it does in fact exist because I am looking at
it. And the code I am using works perfectly fine as
long as it is running on a local db server.
Any ideas?Yes two.
I am bit unclear about the last thing you said... you are testing with two different servers or two different clients?
Anyway here are the possibilities off the top of my head.
1) Some sort of security issue. Surrounding who and from where users can connect to the database in question.
2) Case sensitivity problem. On Windows MYSQl makes all it's table names lower case only. Then it onlu supports the correct case to access them.
For example
CREATE TABLE TestMe
Can then only be accessed with
SELECT * FROM testme
Not TestMe.
This appears to vary with version but i have seen this issue before. -
Not able to connect to oracle 11g database source through OBI Server
Hi,
I am having an issue regarding the database connectivity.
Iam unable to connect to the oracle 11g database through OBI server. However its connecting through SQL Plus with same username/password@hoststring. Its giving the error as :
[nQSError: 17001]Oracle Error code:1017,message:ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied at OCI call OCILogon
[nQSError: 17014]Could not connect to Oracle database.
Please help me out in resolving the issue. If it's working in one place and not the other then it's obviously not an OBIEE problem.
Are you typing it in right??
Do you have multiple tnsnames.ora files pointing to different databases, maybe sqlplus is picking up one and toad & OBIEE the other and so the username/pw is wrong for that database?
There's a limited amount that can be said to help, as the error is 100% clear what the problem is :) it's just working out whether you're connecting to the database that you think you are connecting to, and then whether the username & PW you're entering is correct for that DB.
BTW OBIEE 10.1.3.4 is supported with 11g, and we're using it without problem here. -

Not able to connect linux database instance in another machine
Hi,
I have installed oracle 10g database server in Linux, and i created one database instance. and i have added tns entry and listener entry.
I am to connect the database on that machine. but not in different machine. i am able to access/ping linux machine in another machine also.
while creating tns entry for linux database instance in another machine using "netca" i am getting this error.
Connecting...ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
The test did not succeed.
Some of the information you provided may be incorrect.
Click Back to review the information provided for net service name, or Change Login to change username.
I verified listener and tns entry ( i think for this listener configuration is enough) also. and database is up.
If anybody knows why i am not able to connect linux database in another machine. is there any network configurations other than listener configuration.
Thanks in advance.yes i tried to connect with ORACLE_SID, its successful. and using tnsname like you said.
Instead of using netca to create the tnsnames.ora entry on the second server, copy the tnsnames.ora entry from the DB server. Then use tnsping to test connection :-i done above but not able to ping the tns name, i am getting this error.
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

ThanksYou didn't install Oracle correctly, especially you didn't run the root.sh and rootpre.sh scripts.
If you would have read the error message at all, and researched it, you would have known this.
Regrettably however you decided to ignore Forums Etiquette and to abuse this forum with Yet Another Doc Question.
