Not able to set the value in marketing context node for BP_HEAD

Hi,
I am trying to set the value in marketing node of BP_HEAD from bp_addr component. i am calling the set_property method but it is not changing the value, when i debugg the code, it actually changing the value in bol structure but it is not calling the get/set method of bp head.
i am working on BP corporate person creation i.e. in bp_head component and account details view. I added the marketing attributes in UI configuration and also the address attributes.
this is what i coded in get method of country in standardaddress context node of BP_ADDR
lv_entity ?= current.
    IF lv_entity IS BOUND.
      lv_parent = lv_entity->get_parent( ).
      IF lv_parent IS BOUND.
        lv_entity_mkt = lv_parent->get_related_entity( iv_relation_name = 'BuilMarketingRel' ).

Can anyone please guide me on how to set the value cross component and can we call the get/set method of that attribute which is not in same component?

Sorry, what I said was rubbish, because the LSMW and the session run in different external sessions.
I have searched forum for these terms: "company BUK parameter BDC background"
These threads Is it possible to set default company code in SM35? and Release BDC in SM35 in background, How to set defaul company code? seem promising, but I'm not sure they really solve.
In case these threads don't help you, I think you can create your own Z transaction which sets the BUK parameter id and then does a LEAVE TO TRANSACTION 'ABAON'. Then create again the recording on the Z transaction.
If you are using ECC6, then you may also enhance the standard to reset BUK parameter id at the very beginning of ABAON, in case it's run in batch input (sy-binpt = 'X'). Be careful as sometimes SAP does batch input on some transactions, so that could make the standard fail.
Last thing, you can contact SAP support, though it might probably be considered as consulting.

We were using JDK1.6.0_29 and it was not supporting ODI 11.1.1.5, so we have uninstalled the JDK1.6.0_29 and reinstall the JDK1.6.0_11.This solves our issue.

Not able to get the value in ADF taskflow on load

Hi,
I have created an ADF task flow. I have created a ViewObject in this ADF taskflow and I am setting the value of this ViewObject using the java API.
The issue is that i need to show the data when this ADF task flow executes first time.
Currently I am getting the blank table in jspx page when ADF task flow is run. Now when I click on a button then I can see the required data in the table.
Please help me to solve this issue.

I have tried placing the code to get the set the data in table and display the same from table in bean constructor, but I am getting table value as null.
Looks like it is not able initialize the table until the jsff page gets loaded.
Does jsff page gets loaded after bean constructor method gets called ?

Not able to set the variable to the variant in dynamic selections

HI,
I got a ticket related to variant. The variant is created to the report and logical database is added in the attributes of the report so that we can have the option to choose the dynamic slections. Variables are created in TVARVC table. I am able to set the variable by pressing F4 in dynamic selections to the variant. When i save and comeback, i am not able to see the variables in the dynamic selections. I can save the variables in static selections and it is working fine. Pleas help me i need this urgently.

Not able to display the values on the alv report.

loop at it_stpo.
    indx = sy-tabix.
    select single bdmng from resb into it_resb-bdmng
                    where matnr = it_stpo-idnrk
                    and xloek ne 'X'.
it_stpo-bdmng = it_resb-bdmng.
modify it_stpo index indx.
endloop.
in the above code, m fetchin the values of bdmng and populating it in the it_stpo.
the values get populated in the internal table.
But the problem is only the first value of all the entries gets populated.
For ex:
it_stpo-idnrk = C0201AA0800N ** under this components der r three entries***
i want to display all three values of these entries.
1.A0201AD6750N                          990
2.A0201AJ0960N                           1,578
3.A0201AJ1140N                           2,996
but the value 990 gets repeated thrice for the above three entries. n the value 1598 n 2996 is not gettin displayed.
lll, for all other entries. only the first entry value gets displayed for their respective components.
suggest modification in my code so dat i cn display all the values.

In the above code, m able to fetch the records in the table it_stpo2. but the data is not gettin populated in the final internal table it_stpo. Both the internal tables it_stpo & it_stpo2 are same.
The data is gettin moved from it_stpo2 to it_stpo but only upto the header level. its not gettin appended in the table it_stpo even after using append stmt.
Plz help me to resolve this issue. its urgent.

Cascading LOV does not work when setting the value of the parent LOV with DA

Using APEX 4.2.2.
I have tow LOVs
Parent LOV item is: P50_TYPE
Child LOV item is : P50_PROJECT_ID
In other words in the attributes of the item P50_PROJECT_ID we have :
> Cascading LOV Parent Item(s): P50_TYPE
> Page Items to Submit: P50_TYPE
> List of values definition: something similar to:
Select * from mytable where type = :P50_TYPE
I use DA that execute JS code to set the value of the P50_TYPE item
something similar to:
> $('#P50_TYPE').val(2);
Having done this, the P50_PROJECT_ID item does not get refreshed, when the value of P50_TYPE is changed. Namely, P50_PROJECT_ID remains empty, unless end user manually changes the value of P50_TYPE.
Any help please ?

Setting the value of a single attribute for multiple line items

1. When a user enters a value in the field KBLNR on the line item, all the other fields like cost centerm fund, functional area should populate from a database table based on the value of the KBLNR. to get this I have put the following code:

everything is working fine but now the problem is couple of fields that I have in wa_kblp are with different names in bseg table and hence they are not updating... I tried putting the following logic within the loop :

but it's only setting the value of the first line item and not working for the multiple line items, can you please tell me how can do this?

I tried your code and it worked fine but after I put this code I am getting another issue. within the loop I had a code to make the fields non modifiable on the screen and was working fine but now what's happening is it's making the all the lines uneditable except the one with data on it (which is completely opposite), this is what I have coded:

Not able to find the source requirement of MRP RUN-(for planned order)

Dear All,
Actullay In MRP run system is generating 10000 qty in planned order but in MD61 there is only 3000 qty and no sales order requirement also exists for the same. And when i rerun the MRP by choosing option 3 in planning mode, then also it is generating the planned order for 10000 qty only but Iam not able find out the base requirement for that. Kindly suggest me the solutions.

In MD04 at bottom, you can see a button for pegged requirement, click there you will come to know the list of requirement. It is not only because of Planned independent requirement you maintain in Md61, it could be due to lot size in Material master, or if you have fixed vendor in sourcelist then it could be because of Minimum order quantity with the vendor, or it could be safty stock or reorder point maintained in Material master

Not able to view the values on the report viewed using Query Report Viewer

There seems to be some unknown problem with the Report Template I have prepared and uploaded on PIA XML Publisher. When I run it with some ID set, it doesn't seem to show the values from the Data I give. For example if I have a field called ChartField in my report Template, It doesn't seem to get populated when I do SetID.

Not able to get the value in the next page

I have Page1 and Page2. Page1 has a h:inputText field and a submit button.
On click of the "Submit" button in Page1, I have to pass this text value entered by
the user to Page2. In Page2, I have <h:inputText readonly="true" /> field,
which will display the value that the user entered in Page1. Also, Page2 has a "Submit"
button. On click of Page2.Submit button, the value displayed in the Page2.textfield
is not getting populated to the Page2 bean attribute.

1. Why aren't you just using SQL to do the work?
2. Why don't you just open a CURSOR and pass that instead?

3. Why aren't you using a LIMIT clause? Are you sure that only a very small number of rows will be queried?
4. Why aren't you using a PIPELINED function instead of passing a collection?
Using collections with potentially unlimited numbers of rows is not scalable. Also, using collections can be more difficult for 'data consumers' to work with than if you just use a CURSOR or PIPELINED function.
Make sure you are using the proper architecture so that your code is both modular, scalable and easy to use.

i am using MIRO and there is a screen name withholding tax and from there i want to retreive the withholding tax code before saving so that i can do some validations on it but how can i retrieve the values.

you can use this badi MRM_WT_SPLIT_UPDATE, the method will be WHTAX_SPLIT_UPDATE
in this badi please see the importing and exporting parameters, you will get the values of withholding tax code as TE_RBWS in export parameters.
Please search in google or SCN you will get how to use it.

Not able to get the value of ODI Variable when i pass thru Option

I have ODI variable called prev_etl_run_date which will hold the last successful etl run date. I want to use the value of this variable in one of my KM step.
But i don’t want to use directly in my KM. So I passed the variable name thru KM Option.
I intend to use the variable’s value in the KM step, as shown below:
<%=odiRef.getOption("MY_OPTION_1")%>
Here I am expecting the value of the variable, but here I am only getting the variable name only.
Is there any substitution method available in ODI KM , please help me to solve this issue.

ODI options are not intended for run time parameters. They are like design choices or debugging flags or parameters that can be specified in code template. Previous ETL run time stamp is hardly a design choice.
On the other hand, it is really a bad practice to put a variable inside KM directly. That creates a dependency that you can easily avoid by putting a filter using that variable in the interface.
