  • HT200189 Updated 10.9.1 but will not allow me to install VPN Update

    Updated OS X to to v. 10.9.1 and restarted computer twice, but will not allow me to select a destination for VPN Update for OS X Server software; error says "VPN Update for OS Server can't be installed on this disk (MacIntosh HD). This volume does not meet requirements for this update.
    I also updated OS X Server from the App Store to latest 3.0.1. and still does not allow me to install the VPN update.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ install.log
    from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, start over and note the time. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
    If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
    Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
    Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

  • "Content is not allowed in prolog" with SOAP Attachment

    I'm writing an application using SAAJ that sends a soap message to a servlet which responds with some information, including HTML which the client application will display. The HTML has to go into a SOAP attachment so the tags won't get confused with XML.
    I had the whole thing working with plain text sending within a normal node, and I only switched a few lines to make that text an attachment with HTML instead, but now I'm getting the exception "Content is not allowed in prolog" on the Client side when it tries to create the envelope from the SOAPMessage.
    Code for building answering SOAPMessage with attachment (Servlet to Client)
         public static SOAPMessage buildXML(Message newMessage){
              SOAPMessage msg = null;
              try {
                   MessageFactory msgFactory = MessageFactory.newInstance();
                   msg = msgFactory.createMessage();
                   // Create an envelope in the message
                   SOAPEnvelope envelope = msg.getSOAPPart().getEnvelope();
                   msg.setProperty(SOAPMessage.WRITE_XML_DECLARATION, "true");
                   msg.setProperty(SOAPMessage.CHARACTER_SET_ENCODING, "UTF-8");
                   //Get hold of the the body
                   SOAPBody body = envelope.getBody();
                   SOAPElement soap_message = body.addChildElement("MESSAGE");
                   if (newMessage.message_type != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_message_type = soap_message.addChildElement("MESSAGETYPE");
                        soap_message_type.addTextNode(newMessage.message_type);
                   if (newMessage.questionID != 0){
                        SOAPElement soap_questionID = soap_message.addChildElement("QUESTIONID");
                        soap_questionID.addTextNode("" + newMessage.questionID);
                   if (newMessage.username != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_username = soap_message.addChildElement("USERNAME");
                        soap_username.addTextNode(newMessage.username);
                   if (newMessage.password != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_password = soap_message.addChildElement("PASSWORD");
                        soap_password.addTextNode(newMessage.password);
                   if (newMessage.message_text != null){
                        AttachmentPart soap_message_text = msg.createAttachmentPart("<html><body>" + newMessage.message_text + "</body></html>", "text/html");
                        soap_message_text.setContentId("MESSAGETEXT");
                        msg.addAttachmentPart(soap_message_text);
                        //SOAPElement soap_message_text = soap_message.addChildElement("MESSAGETEXT");
                        //soap_message_text.addTextNode(newMessage.message_text);
                   if (newMessage.sampleString != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_password = soap_message.addChildElement("SAMPLESTRING");
                        soap_password.addTextNode(newMessage.sampleString);
                   SOAPElement tmpEl;
                   for (int i=0; i<newMessage.numArrayUsed; i++){
                        tmpEl = soap_message.addChildElement("SAMPLEINT");
                        tmpEl.addTextNode("" + newMessage.sampleInt);
                   msg.saveChanges();
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return msg;
    You can see in the area where it adds MESSAGETEXT there are two clients commented out which work. The three lines above it are what changed to make it an attachment instead.
    Code in Client for recieving reply from Servlet
    SOAPMessage reply = connection.call(soap_msg, endpoint);
    System.out.println("\nReceived reply from: " + endpoint);
    reply.writeTo(System.out);
    System.out.println("");
    reply_msg = ProcessXML.parse(reply);This is the console output:
    Edit: These forums seem to be inserting an extra > before the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> line, but it doesn't exist in the code I'm pasting

    In Security, clicking on the "Saved Password" button displays your current saved password for each site. It only allows you to view and delete site passwords. It does not allow you to change a password. How would you do that?

    If you enter a new password Firefox should offer to change the password.
    *You may not need to delete the old password. Try "Refreshing" the page, entering the site again, you may need to let Firefox fill in the old password, then enter the new password, and Firefox should ask to save the new password. See:

  • Security error - User is not allowed to execute Proces - Resolved

    Enabled security on my domain by editing message-handlers.xml :
    <inbound-flow>
    <!-- <message-handler id="default" />-->
    <message-handler id="security" />
    </inbound-flow>
    commented out <property id="SecuredProcesses" > .. </property> to apply security to all processes.
    Now when I initiate process through BPELConsole I tick the WS-Security and use bpeladmin/welcome1 as credentials (I'm logged into console as this), I get the following error. In fact I get the very same error if I make up a username/password.
    <2007-10-24 08:17:41,343> <ERROR> <archi2.collaxa.cube> <BaseCubeSessionBean::lo

    In bpel.xml of the process itself I have this:

    <BPELProcess id="SQTest2" src="SQTest2.bpel">

    <property name="pw" encryption="plaintext">welcome1</property>
    </preferences>
    </BPELProcess>
    </BPELSuitcase>
    If I don't supply username/password then I get "Could not apply security [No username provided, security expects user]" which sounds right enough.
    I'm using the default authentication scheme system-jazn-data.xml and using 10.1.3.3 patchset on linux.

    My own fault, putting user credentials in wrong place in bpel.xml:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>

  • The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. InnerException: Requested registry access is not allowed.

    I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
    My program has been working for weeks.  I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
    I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off.  The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.
    I'm an Admin own my own box (running WIn XP SP3).  I even tried "Run as Admin" on Visual Studio.
    I'm doing a Debug-Start, running a Console-Test-Program that calls a WCF service, which on local machine is hosted by "ASP.NET Development Server".
    We have two other developers, one has the same problem, one does not.  In theory, we have all done "get latest" and are running the same code.
    The SQL Connection is related to a trace database; we are using this library http://ukadcdiagnostics.codeplex.com which has worked fine for months.
    When I do "Start Run" in Visual Studio, I get this error:
    {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. "}
    with InnerException: {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionFactory' threw an exception."}
    and it has InnerException: {"Requested registry access is not allowed. "}

    I think I found it... this is sure a strange error for what is really happening.
    Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:
                // Above is related to the WCFLOG SQL Diagnostics Trace
                // If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
                // inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
                // then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
                // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
    Now I think I will do a try catch and spit out the same text.
    Still testing to assure that this really was the issue.
          <endpointBehaviors>
            <behavior name="FRB.AllowImpersonate ">
              <clientCredentials>
                <windows allowedImpersonationLevel="Impersonation"/>
              </clientCredentials>
            </behavior>
          </endpointBehaviors>
    The line below in BOLD below is what somehow seemed to disappear from my app.config - probably due to a TFS human error - still checking that also:
            <client>
                  <endpoint address="http://localhost:4998/AdminService.svc"
                                  behaviorConfiguration="FRB.AllowImpersonate"
                                  binding="wsHttpBinding"
                                  bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService"
                                 contract="svcRef.IAdminService"
                            name="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService">
                        <identity>
                              <dns value="localhost" />
                        </identity>
                  </endpoint>
            </client>
    Here's how I "idiot-proofed" this error for now, to give an error that actually at least points to a solution:
            public SqlDataAccessCommand(string connectionString, string commandText, CommandType commandType)
                try
                    _connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString);
                    // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
                catch (Exception ex)
                    if (ex.ToString().Contains("The type initializer for"))
                    throw new System.ApplicationException(@"
                    Your client app <endpoint> must be cofigured have a
                  'behaviorConfiguration' attribute like this:
                    behaviorConfiguration='FRB.AllowImpersonate'
                   that points back to a behavior that has this syntax:
              <behavior name='FRB.AllowImpersonate'>
                 <clientCredentials>
                     <windows allowedImpersonationLevel='Impersonation'/>
                 </clientCredentials>
              </behavior>
              ", ex);
                   else
                        throw ex;
                _command = _connection.CreateCommand();
                _command.CommandText = commandText;
                _command.CommandType = commandType;
                // TODO _command.CommandTimeout = ;

    Need help on how to stop this and get the updates to work.

    I am havin' this same problem. I've upgraded to Snow Leopard and when i checked for updates, in this case for 10.6.6 version, when I click to install, and the system should aks to me my password to continue, nothing happens. Then I've tried to install 10.6.6 combo to see what happens, nothing happened. So I started to search for a solution and I finded a guy with this same problem and he said that he went to update section on apple's website and downloaded the version 10.6.1 and then it worked fine. Unfortunately, in my case nothing happened, again.

  • Airport express not allowing PC or xbox on to network with WEP password

    Hi there
    Ever since we switched from PC to Mac about 5 years ago our airport express (purchased 2007) has not allowed a PC or other gaming device on to it's network. I have two MacBooks at the moment which needed to be configured with slightly different IPv4 addresses in order to be on the network. That was about a year ago when we bought a new MB and I thought it strange when both computers would not connect and it was a bit of a drama lugging both computers to the store in order for the techs to manually fix the issue.
    Now we have an international student living with us and it is very important that he is able to connect with his PC to our network. My son's DS and xbox is never allowed to connect to our network using the WEP password that we use for our Macs. It is a very frustrating situation now as I do not think that the Mac store can help us out since I asked for advice a while ago when trying to connect my son's gaming consoles and they said they could not help with non apple products. This is a little odd as I thought that Airport would connect all devices. Our internet provider cannot help us as it is NOT a modem issue.
    I should also add that at least twice a day our Macbooks 'fall off' our network and we have to turn the airport off and on in order to reboot the connection. I also have an iphone and that connects to our network although occasionally it will ask me to rejoin and prompt me to enter the password which I do but it rejects it. I usually press cancel and for some reason it connects fine despite not accepting the password.
    My question is this: Can I connect other devices to airport and if so, how? Or is our airport faulty and should I replace it? I really don't want to buy a new device if the same problem is still going to occur.
    Thanks in advance for the help.

    bump
    I'd love some feedback....anyone?

I've been scratching my head all day.

    I dont think so that it is because of un-escaped "&" character or breaking line sequences.
    As in mine case it is giving for XML as below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <publicationManifest date="03/13/2007 14:06:25">
    <contentItem action="add" expireDate="" releaseDate="" revision="1">
    <content>This would go under webstore</content>
    <metadata>This would go for Database</metadata>
    </contentItem>
    </publicationManifest>
    and console output at java IDE is
    [Error] item-manifest_Test.xml:4:46: s4s-elt-character: Non-whitespace characters are not allowed in schema elements other than 'xs:appinfo' and 'xs:documentation'. Saw 'This would go under webstore'.
    [Error] item-manifest_Test.xml:5:45: s4s-elt-character: Non-whitespace characters are not allowed in schema elements other than 'xs:appinfo' and 'xs:documentation'. Saw 'This would go for Database'.
    Therefore , if anyone had found the root cause of this discrepancy please update this topic.

  • Weblogic 7.0, Oracle9i - "Access not allowed" error

    All:
    I am looking for any suggestions/help/advice/etc on my problem. The background is this, I have an application that uses 3 MDBs, 3 Entity Beans, is deployed on Weblogic7.0 (the latest), and needs to query an Oracle9i database.
    I have set up my drivers and URL, they work fine under a normal java class making a connection. They also return "success" when using dbping to test the connection, so the set up is right.
    When Weblogic starts, the connection pool is made, the DataSource is fine -- but when the EJB is deployed it comes back with the SQLException "Access not allowed".
    I've put the classes12.zip file at the beginning of the classpath, modified the setenv.cmd file so the PATH includes %ORACLE_HOME%\bin and %WL_HOME%\bin\oci920_8.
    I've also put in the following in the weblogic-ejb-jar file:
    <security-permission>
    <description>Oracle</description>
    <security-permission-spec>
    grant {
    permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "loadLibrary.ocijdbc9";
    </security-permission-spec>
    </security-permission>
    I've even tried to do what the Security Manager portion of the Weblogic documentation says to do. It said to "activate the security manager" by putting the following line in the startWeblogic file:
    -Djava.security.manager
    None of these have worked -- I keep getting that error. Like I said previously I have tried the connections and they have worked through other methods.
    I've tried everything, including using an XA driver -- to no avail. My forehead is getting really sore from banging it on the monitor --- can you help???? :/
    Thanks!
    The connection pool information follows (from the config.xml file):
    <JDBCConnectionPool CapacityIncrement="1"
    DriverName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" InitialCapacity="1"
    LoginDelaySeconds="1" MaxCapacity="36" Name="P3IConnectionPool"
    Properties="user=EI_SERVICES;password=EI_SERVICES;dll=ocijdbc9;protocol=thin"
    RefreshMinutes="0" Targets="beaserver"
    TestConnectionsOnReserve="true" TestTableName="STATE_LKUP" URL="jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.23.45:1521:ORASUN"/>

    Just in case anyone needs this in the future....
    After creating the connection pool in Weblogic 7.0 (using the Weblogic console) right click on the connection pool and select "Define Policy", select "Default Authorizer", then enter "Caller is a member of the group everyone" and apply.
    That takes care of the problem... didn't happen in Weblogic 6.1

  • Lion will not allow AFP file sharing

    After upgrading my iMac to Lion, I tried to turn on File Sharing, but it would not allow it - I'd check the box, it would refuse the check.  I had to go in to Options and check SMB Sharing to get File Sharing to work.  However, I'd like to use AFP file sharing, not SMB.  I still cannot turn on AFP sharing - I check the box, it unchecks itself in 1/2 a second.
    My Macbook Pro was upgraded a couple months ago, and it does not have this issue.  What am I missing?

    I had this same problem so I opened the console application and viewed all messages.  Then I tried to check the File Sharing checkbox and noticed that two new entries showed up.
    3/31/12 9:21:05.415 PM com.apple.coreservicesd: launch_msg(): Socket is not connected
    3/31/12 9:21:05.645 PM com.apple.coreservicesd: bind(): Address already in use
    Each time I tried to check the checkbox, I received the same messages.  I could of done more detective work but Address already in use may be some kind of memory leak issue or something so I simply rebooted my Mac Pro and then I was able to check the box and it stuck this time.  Also, I was able to share my file like I intended.

  • SQLException: Access not allowed (problem with ACL)

    Hi, I'm getting the following error when I start my Weblogic (7.0) server.
    java.sql.SQLException: weblogic.common.ResourceException: Access not allowed
    I followed these steps to Provide the necessary ACl permisiions:
    1.     Compatibility Security => ACLs
    Create a new ACL:
    name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
    permission : admin
    group : Administrators
    2. Create a new Connection Pool:
    ACL Name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
    In 'Target' tab, choose server and click the Apply button.
    I even checked fileRealm.properties, the user admin123 (the user name with which I start the server), is included in all the connectionpool ACL lists. I restarted the server to pick the new changes but it still gives the same errors.
    Please help,
    Thanks

    You need to create the correct ACL for the DataSource following this procedure in the Administration Console:
    1. Compatibility Security => ACLs
    Create a new ACL:
    name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
    permission : admin
    group : Administrators
    2. Compatibility => click Refresh button
    3. Services => JDBC => Connection Pool
    Create a new Connection Pool:
    ACL Name : weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.yourPoolname
    In 'Target' tab, choose server and click the Apply button.
    4. Services => JDBC => Data Sources
    You can create a new Data Source using this connection pool successfully

  • POST to SharePoint Online REST API - 405 Method Not Allowed

    Good afternoon,
    I am writing C# with the intention of uploading a file to a document library using the REST API.
    The code must run on an on-premise machine and the target SharePoint site is in SharePoint Online (Office 365 E-plan).  It has to handle large files, so CSOM is not an option.
    I have successfully tested a few different "get" messages, so I believe the authentication part is working.  However, so far I have no such luck with POST.
    In fiddler, my most recent attempt looks like this (I redacted the parts in <> because I'm not sure if they are sensitive somehow):
    POST http://org.sharepoint.com/sites/site/_api/web/GetFolderByServerRelativeUrl('Documents')/Files/add(url='test2.txt',overwrite=true) HTTP/1.1
    Accept: application/json;odata=verbose
    X-RequestDigest: <digest value>,15 Jan 2014 17:48:49 -0000
    BinaryStringRequestBody: true
    Host: org.sharepoint.com
    Content-Length: 6
    Expect: 100-continue
    stuff!
    Seems like it should work, but the result is "301 Moved Permanently."  This request is immediately followed by this one:
    GET https://org.sharepoint.com/sites/site/_api/web/GetFolderByServerRelativeUrl('Documents')/Files/add(url='test2.txt',overwrite=true) HTTP/1.1
    Accept: application/json;odata=verbose
    X-RequestDigest: <formdigest>,15 Jan 2014 18:01:51 -0000
    BinaryStringRequestBody: true
    Host: org.sharepoint.com

    Response:

    So it looks to me as if my request is being redirected to the same address but with a "GET" method rather than "POST," resulting in the 405 Method Not Allowed error because "add" needs POST.
    I appreciate any insight you can offer.

    Mkay, perhaps I should rephrase:
    I want to synchronize a SharePoint Online library with a local file share.  There are a large quantity of files, and many of them are large (actually it's all too large to fit in one SharePoint Online site collection due to the 100gb limit, but I'll
    deal with that separately).
    The approach I was working on here was to create a C# method basically like this:  UploadFile(File, Destination, username, password).  I would use this method in the script component of an SSIS package which would run on a server and push the files
    up to SPO, but right now I'm just testing it as a console application.
    I got the CSOM methods working, but obviously that won't work because the files are too large.  Above is what's happening with the REST version.
    Can anyone see what's wrong with my REST calls - why is it being redirected as a GET request?  Is this even possible?

  • 405 method not allowed in WS invocation

    Hi all,
    I hope that someone can help me out with the following problem:
    I am invoking a 3rd party web service from an async BPEL process (vers. 10.1.3.3).
    I get a +405 method not allowed+ error back in the console.
    I have access from my BPEL server to the web server, and the web service is up and running (can be invoked with SOAP UI).
    Searching the web seems to suggest that perhaps I am running into a security configuration issue.
    Can anyone verify or eloborate on that?
    And most importantly, come up with ideas for how I can fix the problem.
    Thank you in advance.

    Aagaard

    I have set up a TCPMon on my BPEL server. From there I am unable to start listening on the connection.
    I get a iava.net.BindException: Connection refused.
    If I attempt to initiate the web service through the TCPMon - i.e. with no BPEL involved - I get a 405 error back.
    Any thoughts, or hints?
    Anybody?

    Hi Anirudh,
    Thanks for answering.
    I will take it up with my network admin.

    BTW: I am able to listen to the connection. The problem was that I had set my listen port to 80 as well as the port.
    Changing the listen port to 1234 helped.
    Now I am getting an Unknownhost exception. I am asuming that Anirudh's comment is still valid, and will have a talk with my network admin.
