Not enough memory to initialize the system??

Hi,
I am trying to write a little MIDlet but have experienced some trouble with starting the MIDlet. I use the phone S55 and the MIDlet has about 12KB.
There are about 9 displayables all extending List but one, which is just a string item. All runs fine up to that time, but then when I add two other displayables each including one text filed in order to add and save some info in a recordstore (the record store is even commented out) the mobile just show the message "please wait" and runs for some minutes. Once it also showed the message "not enough memory to initialize the system". But that can`t be because of two new displayables with text fields, can`t.
I appreciate any help.
Thx

It actually really seams, that the problem occures as soon as I create an Object:
private SaveLP saveLP = new SaveLP();
and the Class looks like this:
import javax.microedition.lcdui.*;
public class SaveLicencePlate extends Form implements CommandListener {
private LicencePlate licencePlate = new LicencePlate();
private TextField textField1;
/**Construct the displayable*/
public SaveLicencePlate() {
super("Car Licence Plate");
try {
jbInit();
} catch(Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
/**Component initialization*/
private void jbInit() throws Exception {
// set up this Displayable to listen to command events
textField1 = new TextField("", "", 15,TextField.ANY);
textField1.setLabel("Neues Autokennzeichen");
textField1.setMaxSize(10);
setCommandListener(this);
addCommand(new Command("Zurck", Command.EXIT, 1));
addCommand(new Command("Save", Command.OK, 1));
this.append(textField1);
/**Handle command events*/
public void commandAction(Command command, Displayable displayable) {
if (command.getCommandType() == Command.EXIT) {
MIDlet1 midlet = MIDlet1.getInstance();
Display.getDisplay(midlet).setCurrent(licencePlate);
}else if (command.getCommandType() == Command.OK){
I mean, I wrote MIDlets before and never had a problem with a textField. Or do you see anything else that has the mistake?

  • What does "After Effects error: Not enough memory to initialize PSL. ( 83 :: 8 )" mean?

    So, about a week ago I did a fresh install of 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate on a new PC, and subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud, installing After Effects CS6 and Photoshop CS6 from the Adobe Application Manager, then doing all updates (and I just checked right now at 10:35PM on July 26th, I have the latest versions of everything).
    After Effects was working completely normal, then just now, I tried to import a Photoshop .psd and I got the error message:
    After Effects error: Not enough memory to initialize PSL.
    ( 83 :: 8 )
    Then After Effects crashed. So now it opens up normally, but when I try to import a .psd or open an After Effects project saved from an earlier version of After Effects (CS3 to CS5) I get the same error and a crash, every single time.
    Searching the forums, I see people talking about this error when importing .psds into CS5, and they say that getting the latest updates solved the issue for them (which obviously can't help me). I'm running all legit software on a brand new computer with 32 GB of RAM which has passed all my physical stress tests so I know it's not hardware related.
    The one thing I saw people suggest is to hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift when starting the program. When I do this, Windows asks if I want to allow After Effects to make changes to the system, and when I say yes, I can import .psds and open the older AE files. When I close After Effects and reopen it without holding down the Ctrl-Alt-Shift keys, it goes right back to crashing.
    Obviously the smart-*** answer is "then hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift, dummy", and I'll do that for now, but is there any clue what the problem is?
    I feel like kind of a chump because I decided to stop using my student versions of Adobe software (I haven't been a student for about four years) and pay the full price for the cloud membership and the latest creative suite, and it's full of bugs.

    Now, I get the same ( 83 :: 8 ) error listed above, followed by a new dialog window that reads:
    After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <4488> <DynamicLink> <5> C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe
    Then, when I click OK, I get:
    After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. For After Effects Help and Support, go to http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_ae_support. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contact Adobe Technical Support (2).
    ( 0 :: 42 )
    Clicking OK to that gives me a chance to save the latest project, then the standard Windows 7 crash dialog window opens, the one that gives me the choice of "Check online for a solution and close the program" or just "Close the program" and lets me View problem details, which are:

    Hello!
    Have error in AEF CS6 when i try to use layer styles in AEF. Error is  "not enough memory to initialize PSL 83::8"
    It works good if i start programm as Administrator.
    My PC is: Windows 7, Intel core 7 with 2.7 Ghz, 6 Gb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 240.
    I think i already know what the problem is:
    After i bought my new SSD in need to change all temp files and scrathes disks to another HDD. And in conflicts with AEF ....
    How can i fix it?

    How can i fix it?
    Check your file and folder permissions. Moving stuff around may invalidate old security tokens for user-specific folders. You may simply need to reclaim them and "Take Ownership" in the Security tab --> Advanced of your file properties dialog.

  • Not enough memory to complete the operation-how do i eliminate the error?

    HI All,
    I have posted the questions before in this forum,but as i am not able to cure the problem i am posting it again.
    I have  a large database oriented application to plot graph.Almost one year back given the application to the user.
    They were not getting any problem before.But now the user is telling they are getting an error message-"not enough memory to complete the operation".The same application is running in one of our pcs also.But here no problem.
    Tried  to change the vitual memory setting in the user's pc by setting to system managed size.
    But still getting the same error.
    Why the same application running finely in one pc and resulting some error in another pc?
    Except that they are getting the error message the application is running properly(ie,except that they are getting the error they are able to plot the graph.)Is there any work around for this?Atleast is there any way to hide the error message?

    Hi user_1,
    no, you can't hide that error message.
    It seems you are dealing with very big data arrays (kind of duplicate posting). Please read the knowledge base article on memory efficient programming!
    The "not enough memory" occurs when LabView has to create a data copy and doesn't get the memory needed for. The only (?) way to avoid this is efficient programming!
    When you increase the memory available in the PC the error will only occur later!

  • Not enough memory to open the illustration error

    I have Adobe CS5.
    I am running it on a laptop with 4 GB of memory.
    Windows 6.1
    but when I open the system info in the product, it says I have 3836 MB of memory.
    Only Illlustrator is loaded and I cannot open any illustrator files.  I cannot even make a blank file.
    I get the error message not enough memory to open the illustration.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled this product and it still doesn't work.
    I tried the chat after 10 minutes of waiting for help they said they no longer support CS5 please try the phone.
    I spent 20 minutes on hold only to find out that phone support is no longer available unless I want to spend $40 for an answer.
    I am pretty angry and frustrated.
    I have searched my computer for a /etc/launchd.conf file but I cannot find it.
    I am stuck please help.

    I have searched my computer for a /etc/launchd.conf file but I cannot find it.
    That would be Mac only.... Anyway, start by trashing the prefs in the prefs folder:
    Important Directories
    Beyond that you might consider reinstalling Adobe Reader/ Acrobat. Some of these errors are caused by damaged shared PDf components. if the machine has a specific printer installed, remove it (temporarily) and uninstall its driver. This may also help, if files have stored printer information. Likewise, check your system's color settings and color profile usage. "Bad" profiles can have all sorts of negative influence...

  • Illustrator CS3 - "Not enough memory to place the file."  Help!!!???

    I have a new machine running XP Pro 64.  Intel i7 processor, 12 gb ram.
    I am trying to place a fairly small Photoshop image (with layers) into Illustrator CS3.  I have done this countless times with XP 32 bit os.
    But now, I cannot place even a small Photoshop image into Illustrator... I keep getting the error "Not enough memory to place the file."
    I tried the suggestion of 'right-clicking' the Illy launch icon and going to properties/compatibility and then selecting "Run this program in compatibility mode for..."  and then I check marked Windows XP.
    Someone else said this worked in Vista 64.....but it DID NOT work for XP 64.....dang it.
    Any suggestions???
    Thanks

    Well..... I just tried the same function on my 64 bit Leopard operating system on my MacBook Pro just for kicks.  Worked flawlessly!!
    So, why won't it work on XP 64 bit? Is this a case of 'the mac os is just better?"
    Talk about flame bait -- You trying to start the platform wars again? ;-D
    Can anyone tell me if they can place a Photoshop image from WINDOWS 7 64 bit OS into Illustrator without issue?  We're talking 'PLACE' .... not paste.
    Don't know about Windoze 7; but that operation works in Vista x64. XP x64 is
    quite flaky at times. It was never finished IMHO.
    Sure would like to know.  I'd upgrade if it made the difference.

  • Not enough memory to initialize AGM?

    Hello everyone,
    I am getting the following error when I attempt to open a project:
    After Effects error: not enough memory to initialize AGM ( 83 :: 8 )
    The project is pretty big and I only have 2GB of RAM.
    Anyone else ever encounter this or have a solution?
    This project is the most complicated one I have attempted, loosing it is a dreadful thought :(
    Thank you!

    Hello,
    I am also having the same problem. This is my first time seeing this problem, as I have worked with two previous projects before without running into this problem. I tried opening a template that I have downloaded but After Effects pops up with the message "not enough memory to intialize AGM" and then crashes.
    I am running on After Effects CS4, Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, Intel Core Dual @1.73GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 186GB of HDD space. My graphics card is the Intel Integrated graphics.
    Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Illustrator CS5 Error - "Not enough memory to save the file"

    Hey guys,
    I'm experiencing difficulties in exporting website from .AI to .PSD using Illustrator CS5.1 under Windows7 Home Premium 64bit. The error message says "Not enough memory to save the file".
    I can assure you that i've got enough memory for scratch disks and my computer is powerful enough to handle this operation. The funny thing is that i am able to export the very same .Ai file using Illustrator CS5.1 under Windows XP 32bit on different PC.
    I've tried to find a solution online, but it gave no satisfying results so far. So, i think the problem comes from the operating system, but i don't know how to fix it... any suggestions?
    Thanks, Steve.

    Modify the file slightly:
    doubleclick the image
    remove the channel 14 info  (the text block "14" & "2.484",  the T shaped path, the dotted half circle path)
    drag a square around the "Channel", "Center Frequency", "(GHz)" text blocks and hold left shift and press the left arrow until the selected items are tighter to the rest of the image
    select the bold base line, grab the right middle point to shrink the line (dragging from right to the left) until 'intersect' shows up, then release

  • Issue with turning on project 2010 / 2013 - "There is not enough memory to complete the operation. To free up available memory, close programs, projects, or windows you aren't using, and then try again."

    I get the following error after the installation and configuration window of MS Project: "There is not enough memory to complete the operation. To free up available memory, close programs, projects, or windows you aren't using, and then try again."
    It happens both with MS Project 2010 and 2013 on a Windows 7 desktop.
    I tried installing / uninstalling Office 2010, MS Project, tried installing 32 and then 64 bit versions, clean up, disk error checker, startup changes (msconfig), anti virus, running as Windows 7 and then Windows XP compatible mode.
    Nothing helps. I see this issue reported as early as 2007 version of MS projects on Microsoft forums, but I do not see any solution anywhere. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue without having to reformat hard drive? Every other application, including
    all other Office programs work seamlessly.
    I also tried Microsoft support, after an hour and a half of basically doing what I did before, I was told I have to pay 99$ for "premium" support, so someone can look at this bug.
    I have 16 Gb RAM and more than 200Gb or hard drive free, so actual memory is not the problem.

    This issue was originally reported with MS Project 2007 and keeps popping up since.
    A quick Google search provides more than 200K pages of results of this issue:
    https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=There+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+To+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren't+using%2C+and+then+try+again.
    And 193K results on Bing:
    http://www.bing.com/search?q=There+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+To+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren%27t+using%2C+and+then+try+again.&go=Submit&qs=n&form=QBLH&pq=there+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+to+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren%27t+using%2C+and+then+try+again.&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=4cb023c1fbd94ec2bba9821b095f21f2
    Computer was defragged already. I run more tests, and specifically when MS Projects tries to run, it tries to take all memory, more than 300Gb, on the computer. (DropBox was running at the same time, and warned that there were no space. As soon as MS Project
    stopped attempting to configure itself, everything came back to normal and the available space became available again.)
    Looking through older forum posts, looks like this application tries to take "unlimited" amount of memory. Some registry fixes are mentioned potentially, but I was not able to apply them.
    Since everything else works, this is a MS Project bug reported by multiple users on various versions of Windows, including Vista and 7, so please provide a fix and not 'not a know bug' lie. All the premium support will say, is to format the hard drive, unless
    they have a patch or a registry edit solution. If the latter is true, since the issue exists for multiple years, it should have been already been provided to users.
    Also, I am not running a SQL server, or any server, this is an installation on a local machine.

    Understanding iOS device capacity
    You can sync and download many different types of content on your device. Some types of content (such as music and videos) typically take more space than others (such as notes and books). The amount of space taken by an app depends on the app's purpose; complex or graphically intense apps usually take more space than simpler apps.
    If your device is near its capacity, you can remove some of the less used content to make room for more.

  • There is not enough memory available on the Essbase Administration Server to open this outline

    When I am trying to open outline it is showing the below error-
    "There is not enough memory available on the Essbase Administration Server to open this outline"
    Please advise what can be the reason and how can we solve them?
    I checked the earlier post https://forums.oracle.com/message/4434719 and JVMOption is set with the current maximum size of the JVM e.g. -Xmx512m. Still we are receiving the error. Could you please help?

    Thanks John for the reply.
    Couple of things
    1) We use Block Storage Outline. Does it matter while compacting the outline using ESSCMDQ?
    2)  At the moment the JVM is set to -Xmx512m. Should we increase from 512 to 1024 or what is recommended.
    We are doing ESSBASE 7.1.3  to 11.x (11.1.2.2) migration (AS IT IS migration) and we are facing this problem. Quite strange that we didn't get any memory error version 7.x whereas we are getting error in 11.x  My understanding is that the current ESSBASE server has 6 GB RAM and in all ways it has higher capacity than server 7.x. But not sure why we are getting this strange error.
    Is it possible to check the JVM size in ESSBASE 7.1.3 (or where we need to check the memory size).
    Thanks in advance.
    Satheesh.

    There's no such thing as an "Illustrator CS3 portable" version. What you have is an illegal torrent download. Any issues you experience may be due to the illegal copying of the software.
