Not working Manage bean

Dear experts,
Im using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0
I created manage bean for cetain command button in my jsf page.
This is the code of MB:

It looks like the bean was not found. Did you define it in your adfc-config.xml or a btf config? Ensure the names of the bean defined in one of the former config files match. Otherwise, verify proper scope of the bean.

Data Palette not showing Managed Beans for Dynamic Web Project, JSF 2.1

I have a problem in OEPE (oepe-juno-distro-win32.zip), where the Data tab in Palette shows no Managed Beans,
even if I created them in the ManagedBeans in faces-config.xml using the Faces Config Editor.
I have created a Dynamic Web Project with these Facets:

I am using Oracle WebLogic Server 12c 12.1.1 zip distribution for hosting the application.
For example, I have a UserBean Managed Bean of Session scope, that has 3 String fields
and the respective getters and setters.
I create a "test.jspx" file, and from the Palette -> Tags tab -> JSF HTML I drag a Form into
the new file so I can connect it to UserBean and generate a form to enter its details.
I select the "Generate a form tag and content from data" and in the Choose Bean dialog
there is none of my Beans.
What could be the problem?

I forgot to mention the Oracle WebLogic Web App Extensions version 12.1.1 and that also
for JSF 2.1 the "sub-directory" Faces Configuration below the project in Project Explorer is not
existent, as in projects created with earlier versions of JSF.

Yes, they are both listed under the WebLogic System Libraries.

Sharing managed beans

Ok �. This is driving me nuts. I�m relatively new to JSF (2 week profession  ), and I may not have grasped the concept of Managed Beans. The problem is detailed below:
Development Environment:
WebSphere Studio 1.5.2 � This creates a backing bean for each respective JSP page that is created, including setters and getters for each managed bean. The two backing beans I�ll talk about whilst specifying the problem are stored in session scope.
The Problem:
I can�t share data between two pages. On the first page I create managed bean in session scope and make this reusable (let�s say person). On the second page I add the reusable Person bean. The resulting entry in the faces.config file is:

Both pages however maintain an independent copy of the managed bean instead of JSF maintaining a shared one. I�ve looked at several documents, and too me it seems as though this bean should be shared between the two pages�� HELP!
On the first page I create a new Person object with the relevant details. This person is created upon a button click added to the backing beans managed bean.

If I add an any information to the managed bean on page two i.e. person.setName(�Another�), this data stays in the session, only for page two though.
Is this how JSF is supposed to work? I though if a managed bean was stored in the session, the object (and it�s data) should be reusable between pages.

copies are kept by the pages�Because YOU create the copy.
JSF (exactly speaking the default VariableResolver) at first searches for an attribute in
request scope, then session scope, then application scope with the matching name.
Only when no attribute is found, it examines faces-config.xml, creates an instance of
the specified class, and stores the instance in the specified scope.
It never creates two instances with a same name.
I.E� On Page 1�. Several Person objects are stored in
a DataTable. The Vector containing the Person objects
is a managed bean bound to this data table. Upon a
button click I require to extract a person from the
data table and place it into the managed bean session
scope for person. Humm, I guess you misunderstand what the managed bean is.
h:dataTable has the "var" attribute which is used to refer each Person object.
JSF implements the "var" variable as a request scope attribute and re-binds it
to each Person object in the iteration. So, it is not a managed bean but is simply an attribute.
The entry of faces-config.xml is not required.
To know how to pass the selected row data to the next page, please see some
example using h:dataTable and javax.faces.model.DataModel.

WLC 8500 SSO HA not working

Hi there,
We're running AireOS 8.0 in a WLC 8500 series and we're getting problems trying to enable HA scenario. These are the scenarios we have tested:
management interface tagged + switchport trunk tagged + HA tagged + switchport trunk tagged = SSO not working
management interface tagged + switchport trunk tagged + HA tagged + switchport access = SSO not working
management interface untagged + switchport trunk native vlan + HA untagged + switchport access = SSO not working
No scenario is working and in cases 1 and 2 we are lossing the associated APs and we only recover them in case 3.
In parallel, after enabling tagged interface in management, the "show ip arp" of the switch shows the IP through the HA interface and the ping is lost outwards WLC and inwards.
Any suggestion?

Try to delete the config on switch and try this.
Switch config :

Channel-group <> mode on
Still not working then check if WLC is reachable via ssh or telnet!
if you have access via ash or telnet then reboot WLC by using "reset system" command .

Why does JSF not identify managed bean as part of view state? After all it is beans which provide the data (model) for components in view. Isn't data part of view state?
There are number of problems with 'request' scoped beans - in fact there are enough reasons to question why JSF allowed 'request' scope in first place.
1. Choice of request scope saves storage, but requires the developers to save the bean data in session and restore that data everytime when the bean is reconstructed on subsequent POST backs.
2. Failure to store or restore the bean's previous data results in NullPointerExceptions during APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES phase, when JSF tries to compare old values with new submitted values to broadcast events.
3. This essentially mean beans are required (with old data) right at the APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES phase, same as the view state.
4. Any storing of data in session creates overhead of cleaning it without fail. Failure to clean results in too big session storage affecting performance.
5. Restoring bean state sometimes also means database calls as early as APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES phase - which is not the right phase for such business logic.
JSF spec should at least provide a way for developers to configure the bean to be saved in view state.

of view state?No. MVC is about seperating M-V-C. Model - View - Controller. View == page, Model == data. Data can be very large in some cases, storing it with a page (per user) is not scalable and is not a good idea in many cases.

Touch Screen not working under Windows10

Got this new notebook yesterday, and all runs fine apart from the touchscreen, will not run when booted up under win10, was on phone with support for2 hours, did all the tests, display is working, but once finally booted it does not work, managed to find the latest drivers on the egalaxtouch website, still does not work, tried the latest from MS from the MS Catalog, I'm guessing I'll have to wait for an update or take it back??? love the pc, nice and fast and 6gb 1tb for 399, but no touch screen, not a deal breaker but would be nice to have it working correctly....and the support site when i select my model it gets stuck in a loop continually asking the model number.... Paul

NO AUTO-ROTATE in Windows 10 for HP Envy X2 units!
What is shocking to me is it's obvious HP did not do its due diligence when it comes to Windows 10 and properly testing their goods. Something any good computer company would have DONE for their customers. HP is doing a terrible job at supporting their customers and PCs. It is always smarter to buy from a vendor like Amazon and don't bother with HP customer or tech support. Sadly, they are just a huge waste of time. A word of warning. Do not allow HP foreign tech support get into your machine. It is a very bad idea. You are taking a huge risk that could mess your machine up even worse.
Hope they fix it soon. It is back to Windows 8.1 until then. Peace.

@EJB not working for managed beans in adfc-config

using adf 11.1.1.3
We have an application that uses EJB (deployed on the same WLS as our application). We notice that when we create managed beans in the adfc-config and use the @EJB annotation to get an instance of the sessionbean, it is not working.
The error we get is a simple nullPointerexception pointing to the EJB.
When we register the bean in faces-config.xml instead of adfc-config.xml, we do get an instance of the EJB.
I also get a nullpointerException when i add the managed bean to a taskflow instead of the adfc-config.
This is an example of the bean:

}When i register this bean in adfc-config i get a nullpointer on service.
When i register the same bean in the faces-config, it is working.

This way i no longer need to use a direct lookup and i don't need to know the exact path and so on for the EJB.

@EJB annotation in JSF managed beans not working

Well, the more I research this issue, the more confused I get. There have been a couple of threads discussing this already, and in this one Debu Panda states that:
"Support of injection in JSF managed bean is part of JSF 1.1 and OC4J 10.1.3.1 does not support JSF 1.1"

But if you look in the release notes for Oracle Application Server 10g R3, it is explicitly stated that JSF 1.1. is supported. So I'm not sure what to believe.
I've also tried changing the version in web.xml as described here:

but that didn't help either.
I've filed a SR on Metalink for this, but haven't got any response yet.

Programatically set where clause or view criteria not working in managed bean

Actually the vo on which I am trying to set set where is used as source to act as cursor to get values from filtered rows using set where and copy the this cursor values to another target vo. I am not showing these source values just getting values.

Session scope managed bean is not instantiating?

We have the need to use a session bean (rather than pageFlowScope) in our application. But it looks like the session beans are not being instantiated at run time like other beans are. I created a simple test case to verify. One bean, named "MySessionBean", defined in the task flow as Session scope, then referenced in a view with an input text box, value: #{sessionScope.MySessionBean.value1}. When I run the application, I just get PropertyNotFoundException, Target Unreachable, 'MySessionBean' returned null.
If I simply change the bean to use pageFlowScope, everything works fine.   I have debug code in the bean constructor, and it never gets called.   Is there some other step I am missing to have ADF instantiate the session bean?

No luck, I tried it in both adfc-config.xml, and faces-config.xml. I also tried moving the call to my view, from my bounded taskflow, into the adfc-config unbounded task flow, and then I ran that instead. Still got the same error.    Here is my code from the the last round of tests with the view called in the main adfc-config.xml unbounded taskflow:

Managed Attachments - I/PM is not working when called from EBS

Hi.
When we click on "Managed Attachments" I/PM login screen should be populated. It was working fine before... Today, it is not working as expected. The following exception is coming in I/PM console logs...

I think its the problem with Security Providers... We are using the default only... not using any LDAP etc... when we check in Enterprise Manager it is showing the store type as FILE for "Policy Store", "Credential Store", and "Key Store"....
The same exception is coming when we test the webservices under Imaging deployment in Weblogic Console...
Not sure how to crack it...

The issue has been resolved by configuring Oracle Web Service Manager security policy as per the doucment 1332250.1
Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) is necessary for applying WS-Security headers to UCM web services. The WebLogic domain that UCM/IPM runs in must have OWSM installed in order for this to work. OWSM can be selected upon domain creation, or added to a domain by extending the domain.

RichTree is not rendered properly when created in Managed Bean

I am trying to create af:tree in managed bean using RichTree. It is not rendering the tree nodes properly. It is only showing the nodes, node text is missing. I am using EL expression to show the value in node element. But when I am creating the af:tree in jspx page, it is working properly.

HI,
When you see the output of the code, you will find 2 different trees one with proper label and another with out labels. This tree is showing the folder structor. When i am creating the tree in managed bean, the EL expression of the component added in nodeStamp is not getting evaluated. To make sure that same component is stamped as nodeStamp, i tried by setting default value in that component, and it is showing the same hard coded value.
But the same EL expression is getting evaluated for the tree in JSPX page.

Manage bean methods not able to call application module methods

Hi,
I have an ADF application where in my managed bean method needs to call AppModuleImpl methods. I use the code as below:

The code works fine when I run the application in my IntegratedWeblogicServer and I am able to get the data on my .jsp pages.
I have installed weblogic server on another machine and I need to deploy and run my application on that server. But when I try doing that, the above code is not able to call the AppModule method and I see no data on my page (Also there is no error or exceptin thrown). Seems that the ViewController project is not able to interact with the Model project.
Is there any extra configuration to be done on the newly installed weblogic server to get this work? Or will some change in the application code help?

Java user-defined transaction management not working correctly???

I have encountered a problem when using Java user-defined transaction management in my session bean. It threw an exception but I could not work out what that means. Could anyone comment on this? Thanks.
This BrokerBean is a stateless session calling other entities bean to perform some simple operations. There are 2 Cloudscape databases in use. Invoices (EB) use InvoiceDB and all the other EBs use StockDB.
If I comment out the user-defined transaction management code, then everything works fine. Or if I comment out the Invoices EB code, it is fine as well. It seemed to me that there is something wrong in transaction management when dealing with distributed databases.

Three things:
first, maybe you should think of putting ut.begin() just before the invoicesHome.create() method and ut.commit() just after the stockTrans.remove() method.It wont solve the current problem but will help in performance once the problem is solved.
second, your utx.commit() is outside the try block. how come the code is compiling then??
third, try doing a SOP call before and after invoicesHome.create() method and see where the problem actually lies.

transactions?The reason why I didn't use container managed
transactions is because I don't really know how to do
that. I am more familiar with this user-defined
transaction handling.
I have attempted to implement the same method in an
entity bean and just let the container manage the
rollback itself. The same exception was thrown when
running the client.
Also, the transaction behaviour is likely to relateto
the app server youre using - which is it?What do you mean by the app server? I am using J2EE
1.3.1 if that is what you meant.
Finally, if your code has a problem rolling back,and
throws an exception, you discard your exception
thereby losing useful information.I have tried to print the exception stack as well, but
it is the same as just printing the general
exception.
This problem is very strange cause if I comment out
the transaction management thing, then everything
works fine. Or if I am only working with 1 single
database, with this user-defined transaction handling,
everything works fine as well.

I've some problems to add a new mojarra version (2.1.2) to jboss 6
1- I modified the file META-INF\jsf-integration-deployer-jboss-beans.xml
