Notes dissapeared from mail program on my mac book pro
Untol some days ago, in the mail program on my mac I saw all notes as well, could write new notes on the computer and they were immedeately syncronized qith my Iphone. I think it was after an uppdate that suddenly the mail program does no longer include notes. The notes program shows no notes, although i added my iCloud account. Doese somebody know how I can get back all my notes to the computer and syncronise them with the iPhone?

I am trying to install a program on my Mac Book Pro Retina from a Apple SuperDrive. Every time I run the installer, it says I do not have enough memory to install. However, I definitely have enough memory (186.74 GB). The program takes only 550 MB. Any ideas why?

If you are syncing using iCloud, try going to System Preferences/iCloud (computers) and checking Safari. If it is checked, try deselecting it, wait 10-15 seconds, and then check it again.

Could not open gmail on the mail application of the mac book pro.
Gmail has two account types, SMTP and Google IMAP.
In both cases failure in trying to log on to SMTP and Google IMAP because I have to verify that the username and password are correct.

My wife has been having problems with Safari, and many third party software and malware programs infecting her Mac Book Pro. I have tried to reset Safari but it keeps coming back, taking over Safari, changing defaults, start pages, and search engines, Etc.
Is it safe to use programs like MacKeeper, who keeps send my wife's computer message and alerts, or should I just wipe the drive and start over?

Is there an ant-virus program for a Mac Book Pro?
YES, there is. It is built into Mac OS X. All you need to do to use it is keep Mac OS X up-to-date.
This built-in Anti-Virus works better and is far less obtrusive than any third-party stuff you can add on. Most of the third-party anti-Virus add-ons are JUNK.
But Viruses, while they cannot be ignored, are actually quite rare on the Mac. If you have a flashy anti-Virus scan that reminds you it is there by slowing down your Mac and visibly scanning things, you can lull yourself into thinking you are protected, but you are NOT!
A much more serious problem is malware, and most malware requires you to help (or at least be complicit) to get onto your Mac. Nothing can replace your constant Vigilance. They ARE out to get you, and steal your financial data, and take over your Mac.
Don't click on ANY links sent to you in emails.
Don't visit Torrent sites, and don't download software from third-party sites.
Don't download "players" from the same site that is providing the content.
No one can tell whether your Mac is infected with anything from outside your Mac. This is ALWAYS a scam.
You have not won a contest you did not enter. You should never have to pay to collect your prize.
Providing your banking information to anyone (to send you money) is an invitation for them to empty that account and disappear.

This hard drive so I copies all the files (400gb worth) to my time capsule hard drive (WD 3 TB but set up by the Mac book pro). Now I am not sure what I need to do. I wiped the other WD hard drive cleAn on my pc and want to set it up in a way that I can access the files on both a pc and a Mac. If I partition it on my MacBook pro will this work? If I do it do I need to save the file twice on both the pc and Mac partitions or simply by partitioning it the hard drive will ave files in both formats regardless of if it's from a pc or a Mac. X

Many Thanks!!This would be speech recognition software. There is only one satisfactory product for this available on Macs - Dragon Dictate. From my limited experience it works exceptionally well given the state of the technology.
It will require an appropriate microphone for best results plus the willingness to commit several hours to train the program to your voice. It can be used in most word processors/editors as well as work with many different applications' commands and OS commands.
