Notification (jGrowl) plug-in

Hi,
I use the notification plugin in one of my Apex applications. The theme of that application is theme 20. Everything works fine except that the rounded corners of the notification background is out of shape. Is this because theme 20 is not XHTML compliant? If so, is there any way to fix this in theme 20?

are you talking about my "Notification" dynamic action plug-in at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-plug-ins-182042.html#dynamic ?
I just switched the theme of my test application to theme 20 and it looks good in Chrome. What browser do you use and can you provide a test case on apex.oracle.com where the problem reproduces?

I actually posted the resolution at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/441260. However, can't share the source code here as its proprietory for the company I work for. On a high level I did the following to disable right clicks after opening a Pdf inside Acrobat via a plug-in.
1. Register a callback for the Right Click notification during plug-in initialization.
2. Simply return true from the callback.
3. Destroy the callback during plug-in destruction.

Calendar Widget Not Avaliable

My Calendar widget for Notification Center, which I was oh so excited about having when the OS update released, has disappeared. It is not activated, and is not in the available widgets list either. I have even checked under the extensions pane of System Preferences, and it is not there either. I vaguely remember it being there when I first installed the OS, but now it is gone. Every other widget seems to be listed except for Calendar.

All notification center plugs in should be existing in this location:
Mac HD>System>Library>Frameworks>NotificationCenter.framework>PlugIns>
If you found the missing plugin you are looking for there, then you have to double click it once; after that it will appear in the NC.
What if you are not finding the Plug In you are looking for there?? That is my issue now, I don't find the Calendar Plug In there!!

IPhone 4 will not charge properly, it isn't recognizing any charger I have tried.

I receive the notification to plug my phone in so that it may charge. Which I have done with multiple chargers each left over night. What am I doing wrong?

Help, Bootlooping, Power and Home both broken

I have an iPhone 5
Screen cracked a few months ago, apple wanted $250 to fix it. Took it to another guy who did it for $140. Basically a terrible experience. Power button was broken at time, and part of the $140 was supposed to go towards fixing the power button. He couldn't fix it but wouldn't refund my money. He also claimed that the home button had been broken when I brought it in. It had been perfectly fine. He replaced it anyway even though it was fine, and replaced it with a cheap part that clicked loudly and sounded like it was breaking the button every time. He also managed to break the ear speaker, so I had to make all my calls with either headphones or on speakerphone, but after 3 weeks of taking it back and trying to get him to fix part after part and him just making it worse I just gave up on the guy.
Terrible mistake, I realize that now.
Eventually the home button stopped working as well. So at this point I had to wait for a notification or plug my phone into the charger to get the screen to turn on.
Couldn't take it to apple bc warranty was voided when other guy fixed screen.
Decided to try to jailbreak, so I could use activator to set the home and power button functions to the volume up and down buttons.
During jailbreak I got stuck on a bootloop (apple logo forever).
Can't go into DFU (recovery) Mode bc both buttons are broken.
Computer wont recognize phone at all.
Tried RecBoot but it wont recognize my phone either.
I got the "ItunesMobileDevice.dll is missing" error
Did some research and downloaded ItunesMobileDevice.dll and QTMClient.dll and put them in
C:/ Program Files / Common Files / Apple / Apple Application Support / RecBoot
Ran Recboot and now I'm getting a Console (Terminal) Window that says
"USBMuxListenerCreate: No Error"
What can I do besides buying a new phone? I'd really like to keep this one seeing as over the past 20 months I've been paying into the $650 full price, as well as $200 spent on repairs and additional chargers.
I would greatly appreciate any reccomendations that anyone has. Even if its just a hairbrained idea.
Also, any comments like "shouldn't have gotten it repaired by the other guy" and "shouldn't have tried to jailbreak" are really not helpful.
I'm running Windows 7 if that makes any difference.

USB 3.0 Problems

So I've been looking into the product guide and it says that "PC EXPRESS USB 3.0 1(IO) IS SUPPORTED IN THIS NOTEBOOK"but I know that usb 3.0 ports have blue color but in this ,all the 3 ports are black so i looked up in contrl panel and there it is : Intel (r) eXtensible 3.0 0100 PCI EXPRESS 3.0so my question is ,how do i know what is the 3.0 port? because are all black

At first I was little confused too coz my laptop ports are also all black.... but when i installed all drivers (usb 3.0 driver/host controller) then when i plugged in a usb 3.0 in it, if it was plugged into 2.0 port the laptop itself showed a notification to plug it in 3.0 port.. in this way i found the right port....

IOS 8 crashed my phone?

I finally downloaded the update after deleting apps and moving pictures to my mac and getting the notification about charging my phone when I got the notification to plug into iTunes. I figured that it just needed to download additional information from the computer but I've now been waiting about 8 hours and it's telling me it will take anywhere from 24 to 100 hours to finish and now I keep getting a network connection error and it won't finish.
Will my phone ever update? Or have I completely ruined my phone...?

From you post I understand you're having difficulty trying to update your iPhone via software update on the iPhone itself. What I recommend is for you to instead update your device via iTunes by following the steps in the article below.

Ipod touch 5 wont charge HELP

so last night my ipod was around 20% so i plugged it in but it wouldnt go in to the lightning connector and then i put it in again it went in and no charging notification came up so i tried a brand new chord didnt work tried my moms chord didnt work aswell so this morning i got a new lightning chord and when i got home it was dead i have it plugged in the computer the notification saying plug in your charger came up and it constantly did that for 20 mins then stopped
please help i only had since last may and it is ios 7 updated PLEASE HELP

Repeated notification that "Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in" in Firefox is "out of date" after the upgrade is downloaded and installed.

I have tried to update the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, along with the plug-in in Firefox v37.0.1. Repeatedly, after the download/installation is "complete", upon opening Firefox I'm met with the message that the "Adobe Acrobat plug-in" is "out of date". I tried rebooting my machine, uninstalling Acrobat Reader DC (which works as a stand-alone), and still the plug-in is never updated (the one listed is from early December 2014) and the reminder always reappears with opening Firefox. Can anyone help with this?

Sorry about the issue which you are facing. It would be helpful if you could share the firefox notification message screenshot.
Also, please check that the firefox plugins show the correct Adobe Acrobat Reader DC plugin. If possible, please share the firefox plug in screenshot as well.

Notification Plug-in only working in IE (not Firefox or Chrome)

I downloaded and installed the Dynamic Action Plug-in, Notification,
from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-plug-ins-182042.html.
I imported into Shared Objects plug-ins for an application, created a dynamic action using this plug-in,
and it works great. In IE only (IE 8). When I run the application from Chrome or Firefox (3.6.13),
the notification does not display.
When I run the demo notification application in firefox or chrome, the notification works - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=654321:401:0
I can not find any information specifically on browsers.
I use APEX 4.0.1.00.03 in Oracle 11.1.0.7 and develop on Windows 2003 server.
I do use javascript (calling htmldb_Get) to get a value from the database to display in the Notification,
so I suspect the problem may be there.
Any ideas why only IE works would be appreciated. Is there any place in APEX I needed to specify browsers?

I stripped out all the local database access and hardecode a value for this problem. When you click the button "Check Employee's Classification", it calls a javascript function in the HTML Header called checkClass. That changes the item displayed in the notification and fires the dynamic action, Employee Class. Works great in IE, but that's it. I suspect it's the javascript that firefox or Chrome doesn't recognize.

Can automation plug-in gets error notification from Photoshop ?

Hi All,
Suppose I open the photoshop file(.psd) and font is missing in the layer. Photoshop shows error dialog box. Can automation plug-in get any kind of notification regarding this font missing in layer ?
I want to do some stuff if font is missing in the layer.
Any idea/logic ?

Thanks Tom for the response and idea. I can now check whether the font used in text layer is present or not by checking in font list for photoshop.
Now I am stuck in another point: load font (saved in local folder) in the photoshop in runtime. Can we update the font list of the photoshop by automation plug-in ?
I can get font list from descriptor using "kfontListStr", update the lists like "keyFontName", "fontPostScriptName", "fontFamilyName" and call
"sPSActionControl->Play(&result, eventSet, descSet, plugInDialogSilent);".
But at the moment its returning error code and I don't really know if these are enough to update font list in photoshop.
If this can't be done by automation plug-in then let me know some idea on how to solve loading font in photoshop in runtime.

Why do the plug-in add ons have to notify you of up dates so often - can these notifications be turned off ?

When opening Firefox - (since edition 8) many of the plug-in products open also to notify of some type of change -- if this was once a month or so -- then that is ok but it happens to all my Firefox Browsers (5 desk tops here at home) most every day or every other day -- way too much waste of time -- and now I don't care for this notification -- CAN THIS SERVICE BE TURNED OFF IN FIREFOX SOME HOW ?

Please keep in mind that Oracle (Java) and Adobe (Flash) have had a large number of updates the later part of this year containing security and stability fixes for their plugins. If you are unaware that an update has been released you may miss those fixes.

When I plug my iphone 4s into the usb in my car, text and notifications sounds are gone.

When I plug my iphone 4s into the usb in my car, text and notifications sounds are gone. The phone only vibrates, no sound. The ringer works fine, and the music plays through the stereo system just fine. When I try to turn up the volume, the ringer shows on the screen, but it will not increase in volume. When I unplug the usb, everything works fine. I have tried different cords and different cars, all with the same result. This only happens in the car, when hooked up to the usb in the house or to the computer, everything works fine. When plugged into the car, the sound disappears. Any ideas?
