Notification using OO4O returns a msgid with ?????
I used the notifyme oo4o method and successfully receive a notification whenever a message is enqueued to the database queue (in both VB And C++).
However the msgid returned in the notify me method has a value of ?????.
I need to pass the message id to another application. How can i find out the actual value of the message id?
Any help will be appreciated as this is an urgent requirement.

Up until a certain version of the OCI (and I forget exactly which version, see below) if you called the OCI initialization routines multiple times, only the first one was used.
I am pretty sure that this was fixed in one of the 8.1.7 patch releases, but I know it is fixed by 9i. The only problem still seems to be that you can only get more restrictive, not less. In this case you should be OK.

Using 'Function Returning SQL Query' with Flash charts
I have created a pl/sql function that returns a SQL query as a varchar2 of this form:

If I now call the function from a Flash Chart Series SQL box with the Query Source Type set to 'Function Returning SQL Query' like this:

it parses correctly and the page is saved; however, when I run the page I don't get any output - nor any error messages or other indication of a problem.
Now, if I call the function in a SQL client, capture the SQL query output using dbms_output and paste that into the Flash Chart Series SQL box - changing the Query Source Type to SQL Query - and save the page it works fine when I run it and returns a multi-series flash chart.
Can anyone suggest either;
1. What have I might have missed or done wrong?
2. Any way to usefully diagnose the problem...
I have tried using the Apex debugger - which is very nice, by the way - but it doesn't provide any info on what my problem might be. I even tried writing my own debug messages from my function using the apex_debug_message package - got nothing...

Try expressing the source as this:

end;That works fine for me, and if I take out the begin-end and the trailing semicolon from the return statement I get the same behavior as you.
It does mention in the help for the source (only during the wizard though) that this source type has to be expressed that way, but I agree it would be helpful if the tool would validate for this format when 'Function Returning SQL Query' is used or give some sort of indication of the trouble. Anyway, this should get you going again.

when you enter a sub flow, the parent flow is put on a stack for later resume. You ecit a bounded task flow that you called using task flow call activity by exiting the task flow (return activity). There is no other option to return to the parent flow. If the bounded task flow executes as a region, then you use a parent activity to navigate the enclosing flow, or the root flow. However, regions seldom use return activities anyway.

Why is creation of a service notification using BAPI not working?
I need to create a service notification.
I have found 2 BAPIs.

The code below using the second BAPI is not creating a notification and the return parm does not have any errors.
You can see it does a call to commit after the BAPI call

How to change activities of a service notification using ABAP Program ?
Hello friends,
As part of a requirement, I need to modify a service notification activity "Activity Code" ( MTR Section ) data and for that I have used the standard bapi "BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY" but the problem is that it is neither saving the activity data nor returning any error message during the process. I have used "BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE" and "BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT" along with bapi call.
While I can update the activity code of the activity from IW52 transaction.
Please share any information that could help to resolve this issue.

My problem is that the GetChunk method is failing, although it still returns OSUCCESS.
If I call OField::GetErrorText() after the GetChunk call I get the error "ROWID must be selected ..". Looking at the documentation this does make sense. That is, to access LONG type field values the ROWID must be accessible.
In this case there is no ROWID available because we are selecting from a dictionary view (ALL_TRIGGERS). Attempting to "SELECT ROWID FROM ALL_TRIGGERS" results in the error "ORA-01446: cannot select ROWID from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc.".
Can anyone out there point me in the right direction to solve this one ?

Can you tell me which Dictionary Table I need to query. I've tried looking at the definition of the ALL_TRIGGERS view but was still none-the-wiser.
I agree that it's not an ideal solution, but the application in question is only going to be used internally by development personel. I could also add a check as the app starts so it will only run if connected to a specific version of Oracle (just an idea).

Getter/setter methods -- how do I use the return values
I'm just learning Java, and I haven't been to this site since the end of July, I think. I have a question regarding getter and setter methods. I switched to the book Head First Java after a poster here recommended it. I'm only about a hundred pages into the book, so the code I'm submitting here reflects that. It's the beginnings of a program I'd eventually like to complete that will take the entered information of my CD's and alphabetize them according to whatever criteria I (or any user for that matter) choose. I realize that this is just the very beginning, and I don't expect to have the complete program completed any time soon -- it's my long term goal, but I thought I could take what I'm learning in the book and put it to practical use as I go along (or at lest try to).

I submitted this code on another site, and one of the responders told me I wasn't using the returned values from the getter methods (he also told me about using a constructor method, but I haven't got that far in the book yet.). The program compiles and runs fine, but I can't seem to figure out how I'm not using the returned values from the getter methods. Please help and if you can explain in 'beginners terms,' with any code examples you think are appropriate. It will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I'm not a professional programmer -- I'm learning Java because of the intellectual exercise and the fun of it. So please keep that in mind as well.

But this is something every new programmer goes through, and I will not spoil the fun. You see, in 3 to 6 months when you have learned much more Java, assuming you stick with it, you will look back at this and be like "what the hell was I thinking" and then realize just haw far you have come. So enjoy that moment and don't spoil it now by asking for what could have been better/ more efficient. If it works it works, just be happy it works.

So you are basically setting anyone up who responds to the post for a trap that could make them look bad when you double post.
You are setting you getters and setters up right as far as I can tell. Which tells me that I think you grasp that a getter lets another class get the variables data, and a setter lets another class set the data. One thing, be sure to use the full variable name so you should have setRecordLabel() and getRecodLabel() as opposed to setLabel() and getLabel(). Think about what happens if you go back and add a label field to the CDList class, bad things the way you have it currently. Sometimes shortcuts are not your friend.
And yes, you are using the getters all wrong since you are not saving off what they return, frankly I am suprised it compiles. It works because you don't really need to use the getters where you have them since the CDList Record (should be lowercase R by the way) object already knows the data and uses it in the printout() method. Basically what you are doing in lines like:
Record[x].getArtistName();is asking for the ArtistName in Record[x] and then getting the name and just dropping it on the floor. You need to store it in something if you want to keep it, like:
String artistName = Record[x].getArtistName();See how that works?

I'd like to know how can I return multiple values with my PL/SQL Web Service. For example, if I want to return an employee's name and id? And that the xml contains two output : <employee>, <empid>?

How to Use No DB connection App with task flow desined as 'New Transaction'

RaghuIf I understand you requirements correctly, you do not need ADF taskflow transactions but you just need fresh DataControls. If it is so, then you do not have to set the taskflow's transaction behaviour to "Always Begin with New Transaction" (e.g. keep it to "No Controller Transaction"), but set the DataControl frame to "isolated" (e.g. uncheck the "Share data controls with the calling task flow" checkbox in the taskflow's Property Inspector). In this way each taskflow instance will be started in a different DataControl frame (e.g. it will instantiate its own set of ApplicationModule instances).

How to use SAP Business Workflow along with Interactive Adobe Form

I am working on SAP Business Workflow since last couple of years.
Now i have got a new Project where client wants to use SAP Business Workflow along with Interactive Adobe Form.
I am new to Interactive Adobe Form and Portal thing and i really dont know from where to start.
We have one central system and 2 local systems. when we do create a Material document using adobe form workflow should trigger and notification should go to group of users who can approve or reject it, once they approve it document gets created in central system and replicated to 2 local system through ALE.
In the Local system they do extend the document to different plants, again workflow triggers and notification will go to Managers inbox for the approval.
Once the final approval done data should go and store in SAP.
Now here i have couple of Questions.
1. In SAP R3 Business workflow when i execute the workitem from the inbox i do get the application screen ( i.e. MM01 MRP View ) , what is going to happen if the same case i have with Adobe form?? is it possible or do we have to design a adobe form and we will have to map the fields with backend application??
2. Do i have to maintained 3 separate Org Structure for 3 different system or using UWL i can manage the show
3. Untill final submit is not done, where the application data is going to be, is there any kind of buffer that we will have to keep it or its there with XML file??

Welcome to ADOBE Forms related Workflow Development. Well, here are my answers.
1) You can go for either go for ISR based development or WD development with Adobe form. In both the cases you can achieve your requirement. Yes, you will have to design the Adobe form and bind the fields to backend.
2) Am not clear or your System landscape to advice you in these regards.
3) Until final Submit/Approval is done, the data can be stored in WORKFLOW CONTAINERS or XML FORM(If you go for ISR based Development).

I am using Photoshop Elements 11 on Mac OSX Mountain Lion and want to store my catalog on a local network drive (FreeNAS). I have encountered many problems while attempting to do this. Then I noticed in the Elements Organizer help, under the section "Repair a catalog", the following: "Note: (Mac OS) You cannot access catalogs present on a network drive."
Is this true. or has someone found a workaround to the problem?

You mean the access problems are part of the "no network drive" thing? I suspected that. Took me a whole day in front of my computer to realign the mess. So should one better not use the network drives at all? Quite a pity in times where everybody seems to use network storage.
No, I did not use organizer to use the photos. So there is no way to reconnect them? Should I delete the catalogue and start with the photos from scratch?

Well, yes, these are part of the "no network drive" thing.
As for moving the photos, did you use organizer to move them? You will always have trouble if you move photos outside of organizer, even on the same drive--you have to let it manage your photos or it doesn't have a clue as to what happened.

When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS7, I lost all my app icons. Where did they go? Interestingly they are still listed in notifications and I could play words with friends when I got a message on the home screen that it was my turn (but still no icon)

Return to Vendor with Shipping - Help with the credit memo
Hey guys,
I've configured return deliveries to vendors, using a return PO with shipping, then creating an RL delivery type > transfer order> post goods issue.
All that works fine. My trouble is trying to set up the credit memo. I'm not an SD consultant so I don't know too much about billing.
I go to VF01 to create the billing document, however I receive an error that the delivery type (RL) is not allowed for billing type F2. I know where the config is to set up this relationship (SD>Billing>Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents), but I would have thought a different billing type (something for credit memos) would be used instead of F2.
In standard sales, the billing type is determined from the sales order type. As there is no sales order in this instance, where is the billing type being determined? Why is SAP trying to create my billing document with and F2 billing type.

If you send back goods to your vendor - generally - you send back the goods because those goods are damged. In this case it is your vendor who issues credit memo and not you to your vendor.
MM credit memo (that is issued by your vendor) can be posted in MIRO. If your vendor issues debit memo it can be posted in MIRO too.

Wireless setup between 2 buildings
I need to connect 2 buildings wirelessly to share internet connection. Both buildings are about 100m apart and are visible from one another. A few trees are in between, not really big nor dense ones. Connection speed needed: No more than 1MBPs as I j
