NT Backup fail by automatic scheduling Job.
Hi ,
I am experience one strange thing that I scheduled windows NT backup tool to make the backup onto my IBM Tape Drive Ultrium (800 GB ) .
sometime the backup automatically completed and some time I check and it shows nothing then I Start manually job and this time it completed.
My current configuration is Windows Server 2003 Standard edition with IBM Tape Drive .
Even I set-up the unmanaged client facility ( /um) in the script so that existing backup if it will found then create new backup onto this existing one of the new day.

If there is any error message in the Event Log? You could try to install the hotfix in the KB article below to resolve the issue.
A scheduled backup does not run after you reschedule the backup by using NTBackup.exe in Windows Server 2003

Automatic scheduled jobs failed but nothing shown up in dba_jobs?

I am trying to see why those jobs 3196,3197 are failing by querying dba_jobs;
SQL> select * from dba_jobs where job=3196;
no rows selected
SQL> select * from dba_jobs where job=3197;
no rows selected
It should show regarding that jobs.right? Can anyone please tell me why its not showing any information about the jobs? If i am looking at the wrong place then please guide me right one.

Time Machine initial backup fails OS 10.5 with no reason but 'bus error'
I ran into an error on the last system update and had to go back to Leopard 10.5 just to see my stuff. I managed to move my home directory into the newly installed system and all my files are intact. Now I'm trying to get a Time Machine backup before I proceed (my initial mistake was not keeping up with them in the first place).
I had some trouble early on and at one point decided to reformat the external drive (a Fantom Drives GreenDrive, usb, 500Gb). I formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as recommended, no partitions, and then tried my first initial Time Machine backup.
It predictably spent a long time 'preparing...' and I followed along in the system log. Eventually, the copying began but early on (within the first 45 min) the backup failed with almost no indications in the log as to why. I've pasted the system log below.
One thought I had was that it was weird that there was an automatic request for backup at 12:36:54. I also included the CrashReport, but I can't make any sense out of it.
any ideas?

I did format the drive once (with extended journaled format and GUID partition scheme, but I didn't zero it out. I'm trying that now and I'll try TM again in about 4 hours.
This morning I tried turning Time Machine's automatic backups off (moved the slider to off in the preferences pane) and manually started a backup (right-clicking the TM icon in the dock and selecting "Backup Now"). It ran further along than before, but stopped again. This time, it gave an error, and I've pasted the log below. I looked but didn't find much helpful on "error 11."

Anyone have any idea what this error means, or how to fix it?Check the formatting and partitioning for your Time Machine disk. Launch Disk Utility from the dock or from the Applications > Utilities folder. Click on the upper icon for your Time Machine disk in the left window and the partition type will show on the bottom of the Disk Utility window. It should be GUID for Intel Macs and Apple Partition Map for PPC Macs.
Click on the indented icon below the upper Time Machine disk icon. That will show the formatting. It should be Mac OS Extended (Journaled). If the formatting and/or partitioning is not correct, reformat following the directions in this article. -
BO4 - Lifecycel Management Console to export all content via scheduled job
Hi,
We wish to export the entire content of our repository to a lcmbiar file via scheduled job every week.
Whilst could do this manually, want this to be a periodic refresh.
The purpose of this is to have a developemnt system which has the content of the production system as of a week ago.
So would want this job to be dynamic, exporting entire content including any new content on weekly basis at week-end during quiet time on servers.
Anybody know if this can be done via lcmbiar file automatically?
I'm thinking say sales folder week 1 10 reports, week 2 somebody creates another 2 reports, would want lcmbiar file to automatically pick up the new reports which have been added in week 2.
Is this possible via lifecycle management console?
Can't simply export cms database to development system as contains the production host embedded within it and don't want the development system to have reference to the physical production host.

All scheduled jobs started suddenly to fail with ORA-01031: insufficient pr
I have a setup of gridcontrol 11g on windows 2008. I've been running successful for weeks until the other day when all my scheduled jobs started to fail with
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges (rman jobs)
ERROR: Invalid username and/or password (sql scripts).
I verified for the accounts being locked, pw correct, expired / grace period, etc.
all good when I try from the command line. running an rman backup from the command line works great, but the same one through the job scheduler fails with ORA-01031.
I've dropped the jobs completely, recreated them again. same thing.
I'm using preferred credentials and dropped and recreated them. same thing.
I don't know where else to look. Only grid control scheduled jobs fail, but all of them do.
I'm using SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) in my sql.ne (always have).
we use a windows domain server / domain authentication for logging into boxes. I haven't changed any of my passwords.
I am probably looking in the wrong places. Anybody able to help?Hi,
ERROR: Invalid username and/or password (sql scripts).This error message clearly tells that password is incorrect and "insufficient privileges" shows that perhaps you are using SYS user for running the jobs and password for user SYS is incorrect.
If you are specifying passwords in your scripts, i don't think you need to set preferred credentials.
Try following
1) Remove preferred credentials
2) Don't check password of user sys by locally logging in (because if Os authentication is on, even wrong password will allow you loging into the database and you will think that password is correct). Try connecting database using SYS user from a remote machine and check whether it accepts your password and make sure you have same password for your jobs and in sql scripts
3) If still problem, just for test, remove SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) and try

Sybase Control Center 3.2.7 -Automatic schedule Backups/Logs

I have 2 queries which need to be discussed with you people.
1.I am currently working with Sybase database 15.7.0.122 and with Windows environment .It has also been released a sap note by sap that we sybase central has vanished and the customer's are forced to move to Sybase Control Center.Is there any way or plug ins that we can install and use sybase central.
2.I have downloaded and configured the Sybase Control center 3.2.7 which came with Sybase database 15.7.0.122 software and able to launch ,configure the user database as well as took the backup successfully and it seem's the web gui interface looks good but sometimes clock revolves which is some time annoying.
My question and requirement is to schedule the automatic backups with retention through scripts which I was able to do in Sybase central and Dbacockpit but here don't find any option.However , I see that in Sybase 16.0 business suite there is TASK MANAGEMENT option in Sybase control center where you have option to schedule the jobs.May be I am not able to find in the current version .Appreciate your guidance in fixing it.

For 2nd Query,
It looks be possible system resource issue due to which you see the clock symbol.
Once the sybase central is restored back you may schedule job using the same.

I am not sure if I am just unable to find matching resources, but maybe someone can just point in the right direction.
In a custom application, we have a scheduling overview, where we imitate some of the CMC behaviour.
Now I need to add a feature to restart failed scheduling jobs.
Some lines of pseudocode or a hint where I can find samples, documentation or anything will help.

I have already doubled the size of the flash_recovery_area and its the same error I am encountering. The above-posted output log is actually the latest one after increasing the size of the flash_recovery_area.

It's now obvious that I still need to increase the size of the flash_recovery_area. What is the easiest way of increasing the size aside from using the EM. Am just new in Oracle RDBMS so am still not familiar with all the stuff in this arena.
Also, do you need to delete the archivelog manually after the backup? What we are doing here is backing up the database using EM and check the 'delete archivelog....' portion during the wizard.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?
We have a number of reports that we schedule to various locations in Excel and PDF. We are frequently getting problems which are manifesting themselves as empty data providers and if we run them as Web Intelligence reports it says Partial Results. Re running the reports normally fixes the problem and returns the data correctly but the problem is that the scheduler reports them as successful and the emails or files get distributed (causing our customers to complain!!!).
Currently using XIr2 +SAP integration Kit migrating to XI 3.1 in July 2009
Any ideas/suggestion would be appreciated...
I did find reference to the adapt case ADAPT01122128 which may help but when and if are unkowns so not much help.

Orchestration Process Cleanup Task schedule job getting failed

We have an out of the box scheduled job "Orchestration Process Cleanup Task". This job is getting failed with the below error.
"Failed.oracle.iam.platformservice.exception.OrchDataCleanupException:java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException:ora00913:too many values"
This recon take two parameters in which we have given values as below:
Batch size:100
Delete Just One Batch: No
I am not able to find how this job is configured or how it's deleting the values.
Please help me out and if anyone know about the links where I can get the info on this job, it will be much helpful.

Hi DK2010,
I took some test that the data dict(dba_rule_sets/dba_evaluation_contexts) no any data returned after I had removed the job.
So I tried to create evaluation context and re-executed script(only exception setion.) the first error has gone. For the second still have some issue.
