Null data in tables for charting - Pages

I would like to chart data with some null values, but Pages always returns zeros which are charted! If there is a null/missing value in Pages, what is it? Note that copy/paste of nulls still returns zeros.

Pages doesn't do that. Yet. Let's wait for tomorrow and see if there are any improvements, or perhaps an alternative program for building graphical information for more specific needs.
You may want to do a search on this forum, as well as the Keynote forum for information on this. I believe Brian Peat's site, Keynoteuser.com may have some tips for how to resolve this effect, or at least work around the current limitation.

How to extract data from table for huge volume

Hi,
I have around 200000 material doc number for which need to get material number from MSEG table but while using SE16 it gives dump , i have even tried breaking it into batches of 20000 records but still SAP gives dump on executing SE16 for MSEG. Please advise if there is any alternate way to get data from SE16 table for such a large volume.
Note: In our system SE16N does not work, only SE16 is there for our SAP version.

Thanks for your reply.
I am getting Dump when i enter more than 5000 records as input parameter in MSEG, if I put more than that then it gives dump as "ABAP runtime errors SAPSQL_STMNT_TOO_LARGE ".
I understand that I can extract data restrciting 5000 every time but I have around 250000 material docs so that means if we consider batches of 5000 I need to run the step more 50 times--> 50 excel files. I wanted to avoid that as that is going to take lots of my time.
Any suggestion, please help.
Also wanted to highlight that apart from Material Doc number I am entering Plant (8 plants) and Mvt type (14 mvt type) also as input parameter.

Insert data into table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0)

I want to insert data into a database table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0).
1. I have a table 'FRIENDS', (in Oracle 10g database).
2. It has two columns, 'NAME' and 'CITY'. Both have datatype strings(varchar2).
3. Now from a JSP page, having two textfields, 'NAME' and 'CITY', I want to insert data into table 'FRIENDS'.
4. In between JSP and database is a Entity Bean(EJB 3.0) and a stateless session bean.
5. I am using JDev as editor.
Please provide me code ASAP or link with similar example.

Post the jsp form data to a Servlet which will act as a Controller.
In the servlet invoke the business method.

How to find out the aligning Data dictionary table for a structure.

As the table controls are associated with strucures, the data input goes to the data dictionary table aligned to that structure. Is there any way we can find out the table related to that particular structure ?

Hi,
The structure and its fields may be associated with multiple database tables.
You can try by where-used list of the structure/field and then you can look and determine the table by hit and try method.
Also as suggested above you can try get the SQL trace and then ypu can look for table associated behind the structure/fields I believe this is the best way to find the DB table.

There is a very useful function module available for your requirement:
<b>RS_PROGRAM_TABLES</b>
Call this function module using:
OBJECT_TYPE = 'TRAN' " transaction
OBJECT_NAME = 'VA01'
" PROGRAM -> not required
MONITOR_ACTIVATE = 'X'
The function module will list you all DB tables touched by the transaction and shows whether they are read or updated (unfortunately, on ECC 5.0 this seems to be no longer the case. All tables are displayed as READ).

Hi Digvijay,
Yes it is possible to show multiple table's data in a continues manner.
In smartform onlt the Main window could be extended according to the table length i.e if the data in a table exceeds the main window height, it is continued in the next page.
So you can declare as multiple tables in the main window.
for example if u have 3 internal table which r needed to be printed in a continues manner u can declare 3 tables in a main window which would be printed one after the other in a continues manner.

I am thinking to load the master tables manually with expected values.
And during each run, loading the auditing tables.
Error table would ofcourse be loaded during the run.
So everytime a threshold has changed, I would have to update master table manually. I dont mind doing that initially.
Would the following tables and the stated appraoch be good for etl.
Please guys, let me know your thoughts. Suggest changes or tables or approach, if you feel, that its wrong.

MRS for Data structure table

I need to various data structure table for MRS

A possible solution is create a materialized view and then a check constraint on the materialized view: this should work in a multiuser environment.
Example:
SQL> drop table t;
Table supprimee.
SQL>
SQL> create table t (
2 x integer,
3 y varchar2(10)
4 );
Table creee.
SQL>
SQL> CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG on t
2 WITH ROWID (x, y)
3 including new values;
Journal de vue materialisee cree.
SQL>
SQL> CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW t_mv
2 REFRESH FAST ON COMMIT AS
3 SELECT count(*) cnt
4 FROM t;
Vue materialisee creee.
SQL>
SQL> ALTER TABLE t_mv
2 ADD CONSTRAINT chk check(cnt<=1);
Table modifiee.
SQL>
SQL> insert into t values(1,'Ok');
