Num_max_hits in BSP search

Hi,
I need a help to us.
Are there someone that know how there is a possibility to set a default value for field "Num_max_hit" present in BSP > advanced search > setting?
I would made it once for my View of BSP and not for all user.

Hi Mac,
Try to use the function module CRM_SERVICE_PORTAL_SEARCH.
Internally CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACTS_SEARCH is using CRM_SERVICE_PORTAL_SEARCH. At the time of calling the function module CRM_SERVICE_PORTAL_SEARCH its not passing max_hits value. Because of this CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACTS_SEARCH is always returning 100.

Need help to develop a customised search BSP page

Hi Every one.
I need to develop a custom BSP search page which is a modified version of search.htm page of HCM_LEARNING bsp application.
here we need to replace the Qualification dropdown boxes with 2 qualifications in tree format where first one is 1. Prerequisite and 2. Aspired . the values will be in node format and the other functionality should work the same way as it works in search.htm page.
How to handle 3 events now?? 1. Node click on Prerequisite Tree
2. Node Click on Aspired Tree
3. Find button click
Only when the find button is clicked , The search should happen not on any node click.
Could you please suggest me some thing how to proceed??

BSP + Store a file in the pc of the user

Hello,
I have programmed a BSP, where a User gives his name in a field and the BSP search information in the database and save the data in the pc of the User.
The problem is, that when I try to save the data in the pc of the user, I get exceptions. I have tried with:
CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload
and
CALL FUNCTION 'WS_DOWNLOAD'
When I save the information in the AppServer, then, I don't have any problem (OPEN DATASET i_path FOR OUTPUT ...).
Is it possible to save the data in the pc of the user using BSPs? Or should I programm such functionality in javascript?

HI
In BSP you cannot use CL_GUI_FRONTEND_CLASS, This class can be used while working in SAP using GUI. Within the clas its checks for GUiID, which is not there while working with BSP.
For File handling in BSP you have to make use of Class CL_HTTP_RESPONSE

ALV report web (BSP and Web Dynpro)

Hi,
I want to display report results in a BSP table using a list viewer component.
I've found some classes for web dynpro that use ALV to print data results. Is there any way to use the same within a BSP application?
(Web Dynpro example that use an ALV table:
'WDR_TEST_DYN_ALV_USAGE'.)

what ALV features you are looking for?
1. sorting - available in bsp tableview
2. filter - availalbe in bsp tableview
3. layout management (visible columns) - is doable with BSP (search weblog area for BSP personalize tableview)
4. export to excel - you can code that in BSP (code samples/special tag available in BSP weblog area)
but if you want a easy way out, as others mentioned, you can use integrated/standalone ITS to generate ALV and then use that its page as frame/iframe within you BSP

BSP error : access to URL is forbidden

Hi,
We have a BSP page embeded into the CRM WEB UI. we have a search page. It used to work fine but after an SP6 upgrade we are facing the below error.
SAP Note
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP exception: Access to URL /sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sap/Y_RMS_CONTACTS/https& is forbidden
I tried the various options like
1) Ruuning the application in internet explorer in compatability mode.
2) The service of BSp is active.

The scenario is that.. I have a BSP opened in CRM WEBUI. on click of a button a new BSP search application is opened,.
After search on clicking of the Assign button, the above error is popping up.

BSP Object locking

Hi Gurus,
I opened a BSP search area in CRM designer and BAB. I did some modifications and saved it.I can see the reflected changes in it. But when I tried to open Designer again for the same object using BAB, I am gettin a error saying Obeject has been locked by myslef. If there any way to get rid of this, instead of logging off and login again.
Through me some light on this.

Hi Murthy,
Use transaction SM12 to delete the locked entry under your name. When you use BAB interactively, the object in focus is locked and not released. Hence we have to use transaction SM12 to delete the locked object explicitly.
This would solve your problem.

Search Help screen in the BSP

Hi,
Our requirement is to provide the search help for a field. The Search help pop up should have three input fields 'UserId', 'First Name' and 'Last Name'. The pop up should not be table. In the pop up, we can give some input value and based on that the relevant entry needs to be fetched, then we need to choose that entry. That chosen entry should be moved to our input screen.

Hi,
Please add the follwing inthe hosts file which is located on ur local desktop
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
open it with notepad and add the following,
<ip adress of the SAP server><tab><Host Name of SAP server>
eg:
192.168.1.1 sapproduction
Log off and login in windows.

BSP with F4 for employee search criteria ?.

Dear All,
I am new to BSP need your feedback for below requirments.
(1). I need to create a BSP page with input button to fill employee number - already done.
(2). Employee input button needs a F4 help that will pop-up new page to search employee ?.
(3). The pop-up page should be able to search using "search criteria for employee" ex: lastname, firstname, username. The result list that is shown, when double clicked should select the employee name into the input field in (1) ?.
Could you please give steps,samples for 2 and 3 ?.

I implemented this same same code,but in popup i am displaying the data in table view.Everythign is working fine,but in table view I made VISIBLE ROWCOUNT = 25, When I click on next page I am not able to see the next rows.
Is there anything i need to implement.I am using the tabel view for first time.

Search help in BSP? E.g. employee number etc.

Before i begin to develop that much, it is worth a question, cos not being able to find something in the docs.
For things like htmlb:inputField, is it possible to get a standard search help when it is bound to data "types" like PERNR?
The help says that it only knows basic data type like INTEGER, STRING etc. and that the searchHelp attribute currently only(?) supports a calendar for type DATE (which i successfully implemented months ago).
I wonder if BSP is leaking such great features that even DynPro (at least those w/o the "Web" prefix, i don not kno) have :-).

The only thing leaking at the moment is the NA2 in Hamburg port But you are right, BSP lacks such a F4-help feature. It is something that was always on the plan, but never made it to the door.
Unfortunately, in this case you will have to roll your own, which means as much as saying "lots of development work". (I see here a small business idea:).
It is true that CRM did implement such a feature, but it was done specifically for CRM and in their context. Maybe they have a few ideas for you.

Have you done all the customizing via spro->scenario specific->service desk->solution database.
There is a note SAP note 951145
also you have to build the index..check via SAF tool...all the doc is there in IMG.
Secondly...there is also a troubleshooting option.....

In standard BSP Application is calling another BSP application and this hard coded in application.

Hello Naddy,
7 Years later and it seems there is still no possible way to search a string in a BSP application.
Using Report BSP_EXPORT_CLASSES (Uncheck list of packages, provide BSP application name) I was able to download the complete BSP application to my desktop computer; after that I used TotalCommander (free edition) to scan the files for the string. (Mode set to UTF8)
Ugly workaround but it works.

BSP and ABAP Search Tools

Working through the Recruitment Package that is a BSP application with abap classes I have stumbled on several situations where I need the ability to grep(search) the files in the application. The where used appears to be buggy and sometimes it will resolve and sometimes it comes up blank. Has anyone found any ways or tools to search the entire application code for keywords or a way to download all the abap classes and bsp pages to the file system to run grep on them?
Thanks in advance if someone has a solution this would increase my productivity quite a bit.

BSP code - radiobutton - search button

Hello BSP gurus,
Ok, so far I have this piece of code. The idea is to click on a radiobutton and then click on the search button in order to go to the next screen (the result screen).
Does anyone have an idea how to handle this?
