Hi,
I have the same problem: the J2EE services do not start after installation,
and reducing the heap size did not help!
I have 3GB of RAM.
This is my trace (please note the error code "exitcode = -11113"
- what does it mean?):

Hello everybody,
today as i tryed to logon to the J2EE-Engine Start Page i got the following error (Port: 8000!)
WAS 6.40 on Stack 9 (ABAP+JAVA)
Internal Server Error(-1)
Error: -1
Version: 6040
Component: J2EE Server
Date/Time: Fri Oct 07 11:55:23 2005
Module: http_j2ee.c
Line: 789
Server: xxx_00
Detail: Cannot reach external Application Server on xxx:50000
When i check the MMC at the server all nodes are green.
Also the ABAP Stack is just working fine!
Any idea what could be the problem?
regards,
MarkusOk i just checked the Instance Profile:
The Parameter icm/HTTP/j2ee_0 looks like this:
PREFIX=/,HOST=localhost,CONN=0-500,PORT=50000
So its already the way it should look like as mentioned in the SAP Note.

J2EE server error,deploytool error
Dear All,
I had downloaded the J2EESDK1.3 and jakarta-ant1.4.1 and the J2SESDK1.3.0_02 from their respective websites.I set the value of the required environment variables i.e the J2EE_HOME, JAVA_HOME and the ANT_HOME to their respective location in my 'C' drive.But I find that when I try to start the J2EE server, the error "Out of environment space" appears in the MSDOS screen.The same error is also visible when I type the following command - "deploytool" at the DOS prompt. Would be grateful if you could please guide me as to what the problem might be and what is the solution to it.Thanks all.

Regards,
Albert LeeSolution to Problem: ANother JNDI service is running on the port 1050. It may be Websphere Application server, Weblogic, Websphere test env. or any other service. Stop if any of these service is running and restart your m/c. If still it doesn't work then change the port no. in orb.properties file in J2EEHOME\config.

Could not connect to localhostI'm not sure the IOException is the real issue. It looks like there may be some other process using one of the ports the SDK is attempting to bind to. Did you try rebooting your machine and restarting the SDK? If there is another process using a port the SDK requires you may need to change the ports used by the SDK. You can find most of the port settings in the config directory in one of the properties files, depending which port you would like to change. Looks like the orb port is you issue so reboot or modify orb.properties.

Gabi405 errors in the HTTP cycle
Any client goes through the following cycle:
* Obtain an IP address from the IP name of your site (your site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs).
* Open an IP socket connection to that IP address.
* Write an HTTP data stream through that socket.
* Receive an HTTP data stream back from your Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.
This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code that it recognises as '405'.
Resolving 405 errors - general
405 errors often arise with the POST method. You may be trying to introduce some kind of input form on your Web site, but not all ISPs allow the POST method necessary to process the form.
All 405 errors can be traced to configuration of the Web server and security governing access to the content of the Web site. -
Port error while deploying a dictonary project to j2ee server
Hello,
I created a dictonary project in sap netweaver developer studio 7.1.The j2ee server and the database (both on a remote server) are running and configured.
When i try to deploy it i get the following errors
[#3]: DC API is trying to connect to '<server name>:50004' [INFO: Jan 31, 2008 9:28:26 PM /userOut/daView_category (eclipse.UserOutLocation) [Thread[main,6,main]] ]
om.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.api.APIException: ConnectionException,cause=[ERROR CODE DPL.DCAPI.1144] NamingException.Cannot get initial context.
Reason: Exception during getInitialContext operation. Cannot establish connection to the remote server.
The error is guess is the port number.My server is configured on port 50000 and here it is showing 50004.If i am correct then how do i configure my applications port number?
I searched and saw some messages like open \usr\SAP\<SID>\SYS\profile ,edit the port and similar solutions.Where is this "\usr\SAP\<SID>\SYS\profile " location?My server is on a remote machine.How do i configure my client to pick up the correct port ?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks and Regards
Sirithe issue got solved..the error was not about the port..on restarting the server i was able to deploy my project..

CLASSPATH=%J2EE_HOME%\lib\j2ee.jar;%J2EE_HOME%\lib\locale
all that env. variable have been set in System Properties through control panel in my windows. Plz help me if there anything wrong with my setting or there are another problems that I didn't noticed before. Thank you.
Irfan R.Modify your JAVA_HOME to C:\Program%20%Files\j2sdk1.4.2_08
as spaces are not allowed. Most probably it will work.
I have installed J2EE SDK 1.3 on my machine. I have
set
J2EE_HOME=C:\j2sdkee1.3.1
JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\j2sdk1.4.2_08
and
PATH=C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\bin
CLASSPATH
=%J2EE_HOME%\lib\j2ee.jar;%J2EE_HOME%\lib\locale
environmental variables. All the four path seem to
OK. But when I'm trying to start application server
using j2ee -verbose command on my dos prompt I'm
getting following error
'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or
external command, operable program or batch file.
I tried j2ee -verbose command from C: prompt as well
as from C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\bin prompt in which j2ee
batch file is present.
Please help/guide on above issue -

You can ping this machine from your portal-nodes and you can connect to the port "sapgw00" (should be 3300) ?

This is the reason why your j2ee-server stops - the portal can't connect to the ume. What did you configured as the ume - the portal database, a ldap-server or a r3-system ?

I have recently installed the J2EE SDK 1.3.1 and J2SE SDK 1.4.1_02. Upon starting the j2ee server (j2ee -verbose), get the following error message.

I am running Linux 7.2, Apache 1.3.27, Tomcat 4.1.24., and have two (2) NICs.
Any ideas on what might cause this issue?I believe I got the server working. The system may have had an issue recognizing the environmental variables being set in the .bash_profile and the setconfig.sh.
If anyone could clarify the errors above, I would greatly appreciate the information.

Hi all
My J2EE server stops after applying support stack 9 for SRM. It was working fine after applying stack 8 but after applying 9 and I restarted the server it stops and its not coming up. The log below of stdserver0_out file shows some security issues. Please review the log and let me know what can I do to fix this issue.
Thanks in advance.
