NWDS 7.0.10 download
Hi all,
I need to work on a Netweaver 2004s SP10 and so I need to install the same NWDS patch level.
Where can I find sap NWDS 7.0.10???
At the moment I'm working with a NWDS 7.0.09 version but when I connect to Development Infrastructure I get this error message:
com.sap.cms.util.exception.client.CMSClientVersionConflictException: Version conflict: to call method "readSystemMessages" the minimum server version is "Release6.40 SP16 Patch level 00" but the used server has only version "Release 6.40 SP15 Patch level 00"

Hi,
You can get the desired NWDS with appropriate patch level same as Netweaver stack from below path in service market place link https://service.sap.com/swdc (Require Service market place login ID with download access).
After opening the above link on the left side navigate as below
Download>Support Packages and Patches>My Companyu2019s Application Components
Now on the right side navigate as below
Select SAP Netweaver--> (Here you can find various releases of Netweaver like 2004, 7.0 or 7.01 for example let us take 7.01 i.e., SAP EHP1 For SAP Netweaver 7.0) >Entry by Component>Developer Studio-->NW DEVELOPER STUDIO 7.01
Here it will display NWDS with various patch levels. Choose the one which you require to download and install.

Deploying my first web dynpro java application through NWDS 7.3 giving error
hi all,
i am new to webdynpro java. i am basically a xi consultant, but due to some work need to work on webdynpro java as well.
i went through the blog Web Dynpro Tutorial: Hello World
i am using NWDS 7.3
i created web dynpro project as per above blog. on the last step, it says to deploy it on SAP system.
now i have access to PI7.1 system only, though in our landscape, we have ECC system, EP system, BI system etc.
i guess the above webpage is referring to getting it deployed on EP system - but i have access to only PI7.1 system - in NWDS 7.3 in window - preferences - SAP AS Java - i have added PI7.1 system and it is showing there.
now on right-clicking web dynpro application, and selecting deploy new archive and run - it is not deploying and the web-page gives error 404 - not found. The requested resource does not exist.
can the web dynpro application be deployed on PI7.1 system?
pls suggest how to resolve this error. thanks.i have downloaded NWDS7.1 through this link
https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/
used the first option - Download latest NWDS_platform.zip release
the zip file got downloaded.
on trying to install through IDEsetup.exe - now i am getting error in installation - The installer cannot run in the 32-bit sub-system on a 64-bit architecture.
how to solve this error - i tried installing jdk-6u7-windows-x64.exe and jdk-6u18-windows-x64.exe - but still the error remains same.
So how to install NWDS7.1 on my system? please tell. thanks. -

Edited by: Rajesh A on Apr 9, 2009 1:32 PMDear Rajesh,
First of all, I am able to see that there are two JREs/JDKs present in your PC. JDK/JRE 1.5 Update 8 and JDK/JRE 1.5 Update 14. First Uninstall both of these. Then remove any traces of JDKs (including Internet Explorer Plugin) and that of the error/failed installation of NWDS from C:\Program Files\SAP\.
Then install JDK 1.5 update 14. Then NWDS IDEsetup.
I hope you had a proper download of the Zip file (after extraction of which you got the folder containing the IDEsetup.exe) from the NWDS update site URL. That is for example the zip file is 100 MB, I hope you had a full download of this 100 MB.
You can refer to this link if you have issues while updating the NWDS after install. Please remember to put your proxy details in NWDS preferences if you are under LAN proxy.

Unable to update features using the NWDS Update Manager
I'm updating the NWDS and selecting the features to install from https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710
It hung midway while downloading:: plugins/com.sap.engine.clientapis_2.0.0.101103141034.jar (9928K of 10560K bytes)
I had to force kill the NWDS and when I restarted it and tried to update the features again, it doesn't try to download the clientapis jar that failed to download before. I don't find this jar in the eclipse\plugins folder either, so why does it skip this jar?
By the way, the features to install automatically listed were as below:
- SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio CE 7.1 SP11 PAT000
- SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Java EE 8.0.110000.101103141042
- SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Development Infrastructure Client 8.0.110000.101103141042
- SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Web Dynpro User Interfaces 8.0.110000.101103141042
- SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Composition Tools 8.0.110000.101103141042
Now it gets repeatedly hung while downloading the jar file
plugins/com.sap.devmanual.doc.user_1.1....818085804.jar everytime I kill and restart and try to update.
The way I update is from the Help menu->Install/Update->Search for new features to install.
In the "Product Configuration" I see the below
- SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
- E:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\CE\eclipse
- SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Platform 8.0.110000.101103141042
-Eclipse Platform 3.3.0.v20070612-_19UEkLEzwdF0jSqQ-G
- Eclipse RCP 3.3.0.v20070607-8y8eE8NEbsN3X_fjWS8HPNG
- SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Composition Environment 7.1.7.1.0.101103141042
Can someone please help understand what is happening and how to get the update manager working, before I get fired from my job for showing no productivity since 2 days? If it is a matter of the mirror being down, can you tell how I can choose a different mirror for a site in the Eclipse Update Manager?

Edited by: convicted on May 6, 2011 2:04 PMIs there any issue with connection to the network(internet) fromt he NWDS?
Usually, NWDS is unable to connect to network due to incorrect Network Connection parameters.
As a workaround, try to locate an existign installation of the NWDS with all the plugins. Ontain those files and save it in your NWDS folder.

but for installing the nwds for ce when i select the netweaverdeveloperstudio in sapinst installation . some pop is comming saying that to download the nwds ide from sdn . ihave already downloaded the both server and ide for nw ce 7.2.
when i unzip the folder and go to the SapNetWeaverDeveloperStudio.exe.

NetWeaver Developer Studio NWDS 7.2 on Windows 7 Prof x64
Hello
neither installing NWDS 7.2. from CD nor directly from https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/index.html does work on an x64 version of Windows 7.
It seems the bundled VS-redistributable is only shipped for x86 systems which breaks the installer.
I know the prerequisites explicitly state that only x86 systems are supported but... WTF!
ALL new notebooks and workstations with a decent amount of RAM are shipped on x64.
Is there any way to get it running under x64?
Thanks!Hi ,
I tried to open the NWDS 7.2 which was download in the link provided in the thread(NWDS_Platform).
I am getting the below pop up
Current JVM
You have to use a JDK as a JVM instead of a JRE
Current JVM:
Sun Microsystems Inc. JRE 1.6.0_33
java.home = C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6
Supported JVMs:
JDK provided by SAP AG: java.version 1.6.0_07 or higher
JDK provided by Sun Microsystems Inc.: java.version 1.6.0_07 or higher
A JDK is not the same as a JRE. If a JDK is required, a JRE is not sufficient
Could you please help?
I could not find any to make the JDK entry.
I have installed both the J2sdk1.4 and JDK1.6 since i am using the NWDS 7.01 version also.
My system is Windows 7 - 64 bit (C:\Program Files (x86))...
Thanks.

Hi I have NWDS version 7.1 SP05 installed.
I need to develop a adapter module but when creating a project under J2EE I do not have the opportunity to create a EJB module. How can this be?
I can how ever create a EJB project under EJB. This looks almost right but here I am missing the ejb-jar file under META-INF. Can just create this my self and then use this kind of project?
Kind regards
Mikkelhi Mikkel,
Update your NWDS 7.1 by downloading latest jar files from service market place.

How to install mdk in nwds for creating mobile applications
Hi experts,
how to install mdk in nwds for creating mobile applications?
reward points for appropriate answer.
Thank you,
G.V.K.PrasdHI,
MDK is already integrated in NWDS. Separate MDK download is only necessary in case you want to use Eclipse as single DEV environmant without the full blown NWDS orwant to develop for earlier versions like MI7.0.
So very important: separate MDK does only support MI7.0 and earlier versions. If this is your intention, simply download MDK plugin, extract the folder, have a look into the download subfolder and you see the ECLIPSEPLUGIN.ZIP file in there. Unzip this as well and then put the related stuff into the FEATURES and the PLUGINS folder of Eclipse. After restarting Eclipse open the settings and add the buttons to the view and configure the correct settings for your system. This is the normal stuff like for every Eclipse plugin. Not 100% sure if this is not included in NWDS as well already.
If you are not sure about PLUGINS and FEATURES stuff and the configuration - the MDK itself has a great documentation that shows the steps you need to follow.

What version of NWDS to use / NW 7.3 Support Package Version confusion
Hi all,
what is the recomendation for the NWDS version to use. Shall it be equal to the version of the server (in our case it is 7.3SP5) or does the NWDS have its own versioning and one should use always the highest available- at the moment this would be SP7: https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/nw/730/doc/auto_com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.distribution.complete.extsoa_versions.html.
The current information of the SP versions for NW 7.3 makes it more confusing. The SP-stack schedule says the next SP is No. 7 and will be available in April (the fact that there is already a SP7 NWDS raises the first question)
And in the maintenance guide section of SMP there is a SPS-Guide NW 7.3 SP6:
https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001406382011E.PDF
Can somebody shed some light what NWDS version to use and what is the next SP version for NW 7.3?
Thanks
ChrisHi,
The SP Stack 05 will be followed by SP Stack 07. It is just renumbered from SP Stack 06 and follows the original
planning, It is not recommended to implement SP06 without applying SP Stack 07. And use of NWDS sp07 with
NW 7.3 sp07.is recommended.

Unable to Update NWDS 7.20 SP09
Hi
I have downloaded the package for NWDS 7.20 SP09 to support some development for a customer at that patch level. However, when I try to connect to the update site I have encountered the errors listed in this thread NWDS update not possible via https and have tried those solutions. I am connected directly to the internet with NO proxy. I have been able to get to the policy page in my browser where I am able to log on with my S-User
Is there somewhere I can download a local copy of the files I need and then use the option to install from a file location rather than from a remote site? I recall this was previously possible but cannot find a place where I can download this now.
Thank you for any assistance,This should be the correct download link:

Updating non-SAP plugins in Eclipse/NWDS
Hello Community,
i updated my Developer Studio (CE 7.1) from SP3 to SP5 and from SP5 to SP6 using
"find and install ..."
"currently installed features"
and i used the sap-server as update server.
Unfortunately only the com.sap.* packages got updated, all other packages/plugins still remain as they were at installation-time. (wtp2.0.0, jpa1.0.0 ...).
As i remember in 7.0 sap discouraged developers to update their eclipse/studio, but in 7.1 we are no more discouraged to do so, right?
What is the easiest way to update my non-sap eclipse plugins and eclipse core?
I want do do a minor upgrade, only bug fixes. (1.0.0 to 1.0.x, not 1.0.0 to 1.x.x), hoping that all sap plugins will still work after the patch.
Any suggestions?Hi There,
A mapping exists between business partners in SAP CRM and customers in SAP
ERP (in both directions). You can display and configure this mapping using
transaction PIDE in the ERP system. Basically the Account classification in SAP CRM system is mapped to account group in SAP ERP.
So in your case, in SAP ERP , there might be account group prospect mapped to account classification contact for SAP CRM.
Check PIDE transaction in SAP ERP and you can control it from there.
For detailed information on how to set up the data exchange for business partners
see Best Practice Documentation (Building Block C03: CRM Master and
Transaction Data Replication).
Hope it helps.
