OAS 4.0.8.1.0 - three or more refreshes to get file in browser

Hi all OAS funs,
OAS 4.0.8.1.0 do its job really perfect.
But troubles definitely occur in this complex reality.
I was wondering if somebody has something to say about the following:
- OAS manages a web site has a lot of files and directories (>10000)
- They are created and removed at high enough rate
- OAS cannot access MOST of these files through www HTTP listener
- BUT, several browser refreshes push OAS to return the file to the browser
- For some time (5 minutes or so) OAS give an access to SIMILAR files
- Later OAS forget them again
- My guess - this is related with Directory scanning/caching in OAS
- I cannot find any information how to control this process
- It is NOT the browser fault wrb.log has HTTP server return codes:
404 (File not found) for unsuccessful return of the file
and 301 (Moved Permanently) for bad directory browsing
in case of bad directory browsing browser shows ../ and / links

My experience with wrksf, on Mandrake 7.0 (RH 6.1+) is that wrksf starts at first, then bails after about a second.
I have a couple cartridges installed, C and Perl, and it starts those cartridges up and then fails. I don't get the same error message that you do, but there is an error in the wrb.log:
`OWS-10911: Throwing exception for reason: wrkpGetProperty 2 `
`OWS-04793: Operation oracle_OAS_System_CartridgeServerFactory_create_nwreturns exception IDL:omg.org/CORBA/UNKNOWN:1.0 `
I'm not sure what this is all about, but it does start up my cartridges at first, because I specified a mininum number to start up initially, and a minimum number of instances.
They just don't come back if terminated, since wrksf isn't there.
BTW, this is the same error I encountered when, on NT, I compiled a c cartridge with Metroworks CodeWarrior instead of MS Visual C++ v6.0. So I wonder if this has something to do with compiler incompatibility, if wrksf was compiled with a different compiler from the rest of OAS. While compilers don't usually matter for C, they do for C++, and all binaries and libraries must be compiled with the same compiler/linker to work together.
Just a stab in the dark.

Why does firefox intermittantly open a new window when I click on an existing tab? This only happens when I have three or more tabs open.

Several times now Firefox 4.0.1, when clicking on a tab (three or more tabs open) I immediately moves that tab to it's own window and closes the tab in the existing window.

That is probably the "tear-off tabs" feature. A slight movement (usually downward) when clicking on an existing tab will cause that tab to "tear-off" and open in a new window. Linking three or more clips with transitions in FCP7

I am cutting my first lengthy FCP7 project from 15 minutes down to ten.
There are a few segments of this video which I would like to keep together -- link. None of these clips in these segments are linked together at all (no underlines).
However, I discover when I use the Command key and darken the two videoclips, the transition between them, and the audio clips that goes underneath all that, the Link function under Modify is greyed out. There's no way to treat these two video clips with transition along with the audio I set under it as a unit.
Am I doing this wrong or is there a workaround when I want to link multiple clips (i.e. three or more) together, even if it includes a transition between the video clips?

Two ways come to mind ... #1 Nest the clips - select (highlight) the clips in the Timeline, then go to Sequence->Nest Items.
#2 Set an IN and OUT point for the parts you want to combine, then export a self-contained movie. Import the resulting file into your project and use it to replace the original individual clips .

If your old version of iTunes is still working - then I sugest you stick with that.
iTunes 11 is a lousy update - It will not retain your playlists, you can't find and delete duplicates... and a whole arry of oyher issues. (have a look around this forum to see how many issues IT11 gives people)

The only problem that you have to tackle is what happens when the same data is being updated in multiple locations at the same time. If that is not a possibility with you then p2p is a good choice. Check the above links you will have a better understanding.

I also started in single user mode. Typed in the sbin fsck fy command. Said appears to be ok but also files were modified. When I type reboot it goes back to logo and spinning wheel

ViFindRsrc is have a problem with three or more crates

I have customer who has 4 crates of VXI hardware and in each of the crates it has 1394 VXI Control. When he runs our client software with three crates or more, viFindRsrc command will give him a error code VI_ERROR_RSRC_NFOUND. The DLL that is being use is one that we wrote and it loads the VISA32.dll dynamic.
An also when try to do the same thing here with three crates I have not problems. So any suggestions that you have to help me figure this out would be great. Also if could take some time try with any devices that you have would also be great.

How is your system configured? Do you have all four chassis attached to the computer directly using IEEE 1394, or are they daisy-chained off one of the VXI-1394 controllers?

Hi,
In pageLayout region create a rowlayout and in rowlayout create two cell formats.
In onel formats you can create two regions on left and two regions in other cell format on right.
In order to give spaces between them use spacer item and set its width.
It will be like

How to join three or more blocks in a form (like master/detail)

I have four data blocks for four tables, lets call them blocks A, B, C, D
Block A is a master block and block B is a detail block, block B holds a foreign key from block A (ofcourse)
Now when i choose in a query data from block A it lists also data from detail block that is corresponding, but now.....
detail block B also holds another foreign key from block C which takes his key from block D. and
i want to make a form that will, when i query master block A, show some data from block B, C and D that is
corresponding to block A.How do i do that?
i'm using 10g and i am a begginer

In each Data Block there are three nodes - triggers, items, and relations. The relations node is what you use to link the master to the detail. If you highlight the Relations node and press create a window will open to create your "New Relation". The master block is already entered because it is the block that you are currently in. You can then pick a detail block by pressing the "select..." button or just type the name of the block in. So if you did this in block A, you would enter B as your detail block. You will then need to enter a join condition. If the PK in block A is named A_DETAIL and the FK in block B is the same name, then you can just type in A_DETAIL, press OK, and the relationship will be automatically created. If the names are different then you could put in a join condition like A.A_DETAIL = B.B_A_DETAIL (whatever the names of the blocks and items are). You can then repeat this process for every parent-child relationship.

Difficulty wiring three different arrays to one spreadsheet file

I am having trouble outputting three different arrays from a case structure and sending them to an Excel file. I have read through several similar Excel threads and not seen anything really similar to my situation. I can't even get my arrays correctly wired to the "write to file" icon. Any suggestions would be great. I also attached my vi for reference.
