OBIEE error

Anyone ever got this error?
State: HY000. Code: 418007264. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 600, message: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qctcte1], [0], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [] at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed. (HY000)

Looks like a database error for me. Nothing from OBIEE
How to fix it
Contact Oracle Support with the following information:
events that led up to the error
the operations that were attempted that led to the error
the conditions of the operating system and database at the time of the error
any unusual circumstances that occurred prior to receiving the ORA-00600 message.
contents of any trace files generated by the error
the relevant portions of the Alert file
in Oracle Forms PL/SQL, use SELECT FROM SYS.DUAL to access the system "dual" table

Please provide workaround for the OBIEE Error[14041] Error in measure definiion. Nested aggregation measures are currently not supported.
I have two logical columns - Current YTD Invoice Quantity and Prior YTD Invoice Price. I want to create a column which is -
(Current YTD Invoice Quantity * Prior YTD Invoice Price)/ sum(Current YTD Invoice Quantity * Prior YTD Invoice Price)
sum in the denominator should be the sum of all rows returned by the report. So level based measures cannot be used as there are multiple report and dimension used may vary.
Columns Current YTD Invoice Quantity and Prior YTD Invoice Price are already aggregated to Sum.
If I try to do the sum on the physical column while creating logical column, the query is running for 6-7 hours and not giving any result. Both the columns belong to different alias table in physical layer.
Please let me know if you guys know any work around for this issue. Also let me know whether this type of nested aggregation are supported in 11g or not?

Yes, I did create a hierarchy for the time dimesion.
No, I was not able to specify the aggregate rule since the source of the logical column is another logical column
But the time hierarchy works for rows that is not based upon the SUM aggregate at the answers level.
Say I have 3 columns: Income,Expense, Bottom Line (formula : Income- Expense)
Income is created based upon a case statement in the Logical Column and
Expense is also created based upon a case statement in the Logical Column.
Income 1000 Rupees
Expense -300 Rupees
Bottom Line 700 Rupees (where the Bottom line is a row based upon the Answers aggregate formula
which is SUM(Income+Expense))
When I add a column year, I get the following output
Income 2009 500 Rs
Income 2008 500 Rs
Expense 2009 -150 Rs
Expense 2008 -150 Rs
Bottom Line 2009 700 Rs
Bottom Line 2008 700 Rs
The Bottom Line doesn't spread across the Year

OBIEE error while scheduling the report.

Hi,
I scheduled one report in OBIEE tool for 8.30 pm but that report get failed.
I executed the same report many times with the same database configuration, same FTP configuration,
I never get such exception before.
In the morning i again execute that report with same configuration and it works.
I am unable to find the cause of the error.
bellow is the error description.
oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.scheduler.ProcessingException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
could any body please explain what is the exact cause of the issue.

The oracle Db you are connected is being shut-down.

OBIEE error: Getting error in creating cross database joins

Hi,
We are trying to create a cross database join in OBIEE.
CHild table is on SQL server and we are using ODBC 3.5 call interface to connect.
Parent table is in Oracle
11.2.0.3.0
Each table can be queried separately. Main task required was to fetch records from Oracle based on records returned by SQl server (Query based on other saved request).
The count of inner query got increased to 30,000 due to which we got too many records in IN predicate error.
Now while creating cross database join between Oracle and SQL server we are getting following error:
[nQSError: 10058] A general error has occured. ODBC state: 37 000
code: 102 message: [microsoft][ODBC SQL Server driver][SQL Server] Incorredt Syntax near 'Session'
[nQSError: 16015] SQL statement execution failed.

Could you give a bit more of context for this case? The table in SQL server; Is it a dimension and the one in Oracle DB is a fact? I am guessing, you have set up the driving table here. Have you given a try taking it off, and let BI Server do the filter in memory?

OBIEE Error while importing table from database

I am getting the following error when i am trying to import table from database.
[nQSError: 16001]ODBC error state: IM004 code:0 message:
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver`s SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed.
Any idea y such error.

Looks like an error in the ODBC driver, not OBIEE as such.
Have you tried googling it?
Can you post details about your OS and DB.

Essbase connect obiee error

i use the essbase as the datasource of the obiee
and when i want to see the report
there will be an error like Essbase Error: You have been logged out due to inactivity or explicitly by the administrator
how does that happen?

I am loggin in OBIEE as an administrator.
if there is version mismatch in client and server.by this do you mean that version of Essbase in OBIEE is not matching with the version of Essbase from where we are fetching the data.
Please let me know if this is the case and what will be its remedies.

OBIEE Error 'Root XML Node nqw not found in island!'

After I altered my Hyperion Essbase structure, my OBIEE Reports don't open.
I increase one generation in my accounts hierachy, and now when I try open my OBIEE reports, I get the follow error:
"Root XML Node nqw not found in island"

I hope you have resolved the issue by this time.
In my case, it was related to an invalid filter on the report.
I have removed the filter by updating the report .xml file from Catalog Manager.

OBIEE Error Code: KQNW64YZ (Error Generating Chart)

Hi All,
I'm getting an error on a few of my reports:
Error Generating Chart
The queue for the thread pool ChartThreadPool is at it's maximum capacity of 512 jobs.
Error Codes: KQNW64YZ
I'm on Windows 7 operating system and currently still using OBIEE 10G.
Any ideas on what may be causing this issue? Seems like it is intermittent at times as well.

Adding following entry in your "instanceconfig.xml " , may help :

might help with performance, but will not necessarily resolve the issue, unless the number of charts per page is reduced.
Other recommendation would be editing the config.xml file as below:

OBIEE - error after upgrade .

I upgraded OBIEE from 10.1.3.3.2 to 10.1.3.4.1. After this i see all process coming up but i m not able to access the bi page . I see this error in sawserver.out.log
after restart .

As I said, Age has valid datatype in physical layer but datatype is showing as "Unknown" in logical layer after upgrade to 11g. many other columns got same issue just for this logical table. I rebuild the logical column mapped to physical sources but it didn't fix the issue.

Hi Friends.
Did anyone faced this problem. I am using custom filters on reports. The reports work well for 5 filters but start giving error on last filter. As far as I can guess its an internal OBIEE optimizer error. Can anyone faced this problem and help

We faced same problem. There is no clear definition of error even we increase log trace level to 7.

OBIEE - Errors then logs me out

So I have no idea whats going on, but I am getting hit with inconsistent errors left right and center
When I go to view a report, it would log me out but it would flash on screen for a second

We dont have an administrator for this application and Im pretty new to all of this. Where can I begin to trouble shoot this?
Anyone have any idea what those errors are? Its killing me, I can barely do anything without getting booted

Check sawlog and OC4J_HOME\j2ee\home\log\oc4j , may be this is OC4J issue and not from OBIEE. Check what the state of that .

Tried to combine two Essbase cubes from different servers in OBIEE. The dimensions are conformed. The result of the basic report on Date and metric resulted in below error.

State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. Essbase Error: Internal error: Set is too large to be processed. Set size exceeds 2^32 tuples. (HY000)
SQL Issued: SELECT Date.Year_ID saw_0, Trans_Data."Shipped Units" saw_1 FROM "SC_Cube" ORDER BY saw_0
I could sense an issue of missing join or something like cross join, but not able to find the clue. The relationship join key exists between Date and Trans_Data.
Any feedback?

[nQSError: 14026] Unable to navigate requested expression: XXX Time.YYY Month. Please fix the metadata consistency warnings. (HY000)
I searched for the solution and found that we need to define an aggregated measure of a dimension table. But I dont know how to do it as I have very less hands-on in OBI Admin Tool. Kindly help me by explaining in detail to solve this issue.

*1.Create a new fact logical table with the physical dimension table as source.*
*2.Include all fields that should be aggregated as a measure of this new fact object.*
*3.Add an aggregation rule to the column*
*4.set the logical level of the other dimensions to the grand total level.*
Below, a sum aggregation rule :

put the measure indicated by the error message in a fact table object.
