OCI Mapping field/table

Hi Gurus,
This is regarding an issue that I am facing with some materials in punchout catalog used with SRM5.0
For some particular items, I get an error "Incomplete items in catalog, only complete items were transferred" on transferring the data from catalog to shopping cart. I checked the slg1 log and found that the error message shows "00001 E BBPWS Unit of measure D97 is not an ISO code. Item will not be transferred D97".
For this item, the catalog shows the unit of measure as Pallets. In the CUNI transaction, the SRM system has D97 and PF having the same descirption 'Pallet'. In the 'Unit of measure' tab, the Pallet unit is maintained as 'PAL' with ISO code as 'PF'. But, I am unable to understand how the D97 UoM is picked by the SRM system while transferring data from the catalog.
Can someone tell me where to look for the mapping fields? I mean where is the data mapping between catalogs and SC saved?
I referred SAP note 395312 which says that  "check the mapping of the catalog attributes on the OCI fields in the SAP CartEditor (Logon to the ECManager: Administration --> Configuration -> Shopping Cart)." Can someone guide me as to where to look for this link? What does ECManager logon mean? I am unable to find this link in the web login of SRM. Please help me to find a solution to this.
Thanks n Regards,
Ancy

Hi Masa,
Thanks for the inputs. I checked the slg1 log for catalog interface log and it helped us reach into the program saplbbp_ws_api.
My ABAP consultant tells me that this program is in-turn calling some function modules to read the data. But, he can only conclude that D97 is coming from function module BBP_WS_MAP_OCI_TO_SC and the comment on this call is 'Map from OCI or XML to the SC structure'.
But, then again I am back to my original question: How do I see the mapping rules from OCI?
Thanks n Regards,
Ancy

  • MDM 2.0  - OCI mapping of field "Price Information"

    Hi SDN,
    we are on SRM 5.0.
we are setting up MDM 2.0. We do a new installation, although we were already on MDM 1.0. Anyway, we want to keep the repository from MDM 1.0.
Right now we have problems transferring the price of shopping cart positions from the MDM Web Search UI  to EBP.
    what we did so far:
    1. set up j2ee server and oracle
    2. set up MDM 2.0 Server
    3. Deploy MDM 2.0 SP 2.0 Java API and UI stuff to j2ee
    4. set MDM 1.0 Repository in the appropriate place in the file system of MDM Server and unarchived it in the MDM console
    5. run repository upgrade using link from upgrade guide (http://<j2eeserver>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcmdmsrmcat~uiutil/Utilities)
    6. upgrade configuration (same link as before, but step 2)
still, in the OCI Mapping for price, I still have "price - amount" mapped on NEW_ITEM-PRICE
and still, the price, which I can see in the search UI, is not being transferred to EBP...
I am not sure, if I have to have "Price Information - amount" available as OCI mapping field. Right now, this is NOT the case. In MDM 1.0 it used to work fine with "Price - amount"
In my repository in table cataloge items I have the field "Price Information" which is a qualified lookup table, based on look up table "Price". "Price" contains the field amount, which carries the price value.
any clues welcome - regards, Matthias

    Hi Masa,
    just another brief status Q:
Now I am able to receive the price in EBP.
But this is a workaround. Just for a test I did a new OCI mapping like this:
I leave the OCI field NEW_ITEM-PRICE blank and use instead
    NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD4 --> mapped on --> Price Information - Amount.
Thus I am able to get the value of the price field in my BADI bbp_catalog_transfer.
There seems to be a mismatch of field types. In the MDM Console the amount field is of type 'currency' - I assume this is decimal in fact.
In my incoming structure in the BADI I have tabletype catalog_content which is based on structure BBP_WS_OCI_ITEM_S which carries field price of type DEC...  seems reasonable to me - but in the debugger I can't see the incoming price value. Instead now I use BBP_WS_OCI_ITEM_S-CUST_FIELD4 which is of type CHAR20. This works! I regard this as a workaround and I am still researching to get the price field mapped correctly to the proper price field in my BADI.
Masi: Concerning your weblog and SLG1 and Errorlog BTC1...
I set up in SPRO the MDM Catalog and also checked "use error log" for the catalog - still
I wonder how I can access this log and esp the OCI fields -- can you guide me there?
I was clicking through the entries of SLG1 but don't get to see the OCI fields of the transfer, though an entry which is because of the data transfer from mdm towards EBP.
    kind regards, matthias
btw: SDN was down, hence the delayed response

  • OCI mapping 2 Qualified tables

Is it possible that 2 qualified tables can be OCI mapped to the same set of fields on requistions page?
We are storing Material Master information in one Qualified table and Calalog information in another Qualified table. The end user can EITHER select Material Master information OR Catalog information, add it to the shopping cart. But, when the items from shopping cart are brought back to the Requistion page, it populates the same fields.
Can it be achieved. Any Ideas.
    Thank you guys.
    Shai

    Hi Priti,
For multivalued field you need to check for Qualified Update option. For this you can refer page 257 of Import manager 7.1 reference guide. Try this option, it should solve your problem.

    Hi Alan,
why do you want to access the DB directly?! You can access the information via the Java API, which is in general the most secure way for the DB scheme is always "subject to change without notice"...

  • Number of Custom Field Restriction between SRM MDM OCI Mapping to SRM

    Hi Experts,
We have a project requirement to cater to 70 Plus custom field which is NON Standard fields transferred from SRM MDM to SRM Shopping cart
We need to understand if this is achievable??? by enhancing OCI mapping and Catalog Transfer BADI.
We appreciate your response in this regard.
    Regards
    Prashanth

    Hi,
There are 5 pre defined custom fields in the OCI, NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD[1-5] are available, each with different structures (i.e. field length etc) to support different requirements. All are of type CHAR though I am pretty sure.
These fields can be passed via the OCI interface and then mapped to standard PROCDOC fields using the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER Badi.

  • I can not map field after changing data source location

    Hi
I have a small problem that I got a report file and database from my customer, after that I setup database, open the file and change data source to my setting. but some filed can not map. The field mapping widonw does not display all field in the table. Of course I have checked the missing fields are existing in the table.
    OS:Windows7
    DB:Oracle11
    CR:XI Release 2
    Does anyone have an idea?

    hi,
In Map Fields window, there is an option "Match Type".
Please Unchek that option, so that you will be able to see all the fields from that table.
Also, while mapping please verify the datatypes of source and target fields.

  • OCI mapping for External Punch Out Catalog - SRM

    Dear SRM Gurus,
We are using SRM 7.0 Classic scenario.
We have a scenario to External punch out catalog. I am  aware of Web service call structure, UI config and  BADIs.
But I am very much confused that how exactly the External Catalog data will be mapped to SRM? Where would be the inbound OCI mapping done for External Punch out catalog.
    Kindly share your knowledge.
    Thanks.
    Regarsd, Magesh.

    Magesh,
The OCI field mapping is done as specified in OCI 4.0 specification. If you like technical details on exactly where the mapping happens, you can search for FM OCI. Also, the CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI can be used to read the data that has been mapped and change if needed.

  • SRM MDM Catalog - SRM OCI mapping relevant for Contract Catalogs

    Hi,
According to the scenario we would like to implement, the contract items are distibuted to a catalog and later on they are recalled within other contracts. In this case to do OCI mapping in SRM (customizing activity?) is still relevant? Is this activity necessary for all catalogs internal or external?
Is this what is enabling to dispaly the catalog within SRM transaction like Process Contracts for all type of catalogs?
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi,
    Thanks for your input,
I did unmapping between OCI fields and MDM fields at OCI Mapping and but i have selected unmapped fields at all Views.
Now when i login and checked at my catalog side, i can able to see the data for that fields, which i have unmapped at OCI Mapping.
    My question is :
    1) Why this fields are getting values , when i Unmapped at OCI mapping Level?
    2) If this fields are getting values at catalog irrespective of mapping/unmapping at OCI Mapping level, then what is the actual use of OCI mapping?
    3) where exactly adding of Custom fields at OCI side is helpful?
Your solution will be rewarded in points

MDM should not behave in this way. I thing there is an issue with the Matching Field you have choosen.
I think you have choosen all the FIeld as the Matching Field ( Tab) while IMporting.
Hence any change in any value, creates another dupliacte record( which we do not want)
Please select any Field with unique values ( like the Material ID, Customer ID etc) which will ensure that the particular records are updated with the new Values coming in.
You will find the new value getting updated for the records which are already present. It will not create a duplicate record
    Hope it helps.

  • Is Mapping Lookup table possible with IDOC to FIle scenario

    Hi all,
Need suggestion, I am using SP16
My sceanrio is IDOC to FIles, and have to use a Mapping Lookup tables for some of the fields within the mapping...
'Crossref:  PlantLoc_to_WhseComDiv.  Value mapping lookup to take two fields from SAP and convert to WMS 3-digit value'
How to go with this, since i have checked in SAP library that it is for only RFC,JDBC,SOAP adapters ...
    Need u r valuable inputs,

You can use RFC or SOAP or JDBC lookup in your mapping. Why not?..It does not mean that we use the lookups only in RFC secnarios. You can use them in any scenario.

  • Map Fields, store procedure results is "Expr1000"

    Hi guys.
    This is my problem.
I have a sql server 2005 database. In this database i have a store procedure (3100 lines, with temporal tables, unions .. etc).
When i try to create the report in CR9, i do this :
    1) i'm go to "set datasource location"
    2) select the database
    3) select the store procedure
    4) put some parameters
    5) Accept
When i want to add the fields to the report ....
the only results from the SP is a result field called "Expr1000".
I execute the store in my sql server and this give me all the columns results (174 columns).
    My question is:
What is the error , that in CR9 i can't see all the columns results , and only i can see "Expr1000".
    Thanks !!!!!
    Pablo Reynoso.

This is definitely not the solution for everyone but reading this thread made me do a little more checking on my own.
I too was receiving the "Expr1000" field from the SP when linking it into a new report or even when trying to MAP fields in an existing report template.  In the Map Fields dialog the source SP had no fields displayed for Mapping.
What I discovered was S.U.E. (stupid user error).  While testing some changes to the source SP I changed the return result from returning data to returning the actual sql code I was constructing in the SP.  I often write the code into a local string variable and then use the 'exec(@str);' command as the final step of the SP.  I changed that code to 'Select @str;' which returned the @str string value when I executed the SP from within SQL Manager - to see the actual sql code.
I never changed the code back to using the 'exec(@str);' so I was returning a 4,000+ char string from the SP which when loaded into Crystal the SP "field" became "Expr1000".
After making this little change, returning the data instead of a single LARGE string the report behavior returned to what is was before the testing snafu.
Hope this helps someone else, at least maybe point them to their code changes and not necessarily the CR template.

  • FML Field Table - maximum number of fields?

    Hello,
in our Tuxedo-environment we are using the "FML Field Table" (text file) to define fields and FLDIDs to access and manipulate fields in a fielded buffer.
    My questions are:
o is there a maximum number of fields one can define in the field table?
o is it ok that this file grows very big if every application-relevant field is to be put into this table? (in our company we have services up to 80 fields...)
o is it better practice to define universal FML fields (such as CHAR_01, CHAR_02, NUMBER_01...) to avoid that every service-field has its own field-defínition?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,
    1. FML/FML32 really have a maximum number.
    # For FML: between 1 and 8191, inclusive
    # For FML32: between 1 and 33,554,431, inclusive
But you should pay attention that some fields are reserved by Tuxedo, you can get the reference at http://edocs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux100/fml/fml04.html
    2. It depends on how you use FML routines. Some routines, such as Fldid which map the name to the numeric identifier, sure it needs a little cpu cycle for the searching if you defined hundreds thousands of fields. But for most APIs, such as add/change/update/delete, the API only requires the numeric C macro definition, so there is no performance issue. A number of 80 fields is adequate absolutely. You should not worry about that in a very long future.
    3. From my personal point of view, I think it is a good habit to define the fields universally in Tuxedo applications. You will feel more administration benefit if you want to extend Tuxedo to Java by JOLT, to web services by SALT etc.

  • Custom mapped field attach problem

    Hi!
I have a field, for which I've written custom field mapping. Everything
seems to run fine, but when I try to attach previously detached instance I
    got:
    kodo.util.FatalInternalException: kodo.util.FatalInternal
Exception: Cannot attach field "SomeObject.someField" of type "10".
Mapping's getJDBCType() returns Type.OTHER. Field contains java object, but
corresponding database table column is numeric type. No matter what I set
JDBCType to I fail to attach object. When I set type to Type.JAVA_OBJECT I
get exception (when Kodo is reading database tables on startup) that says
that column type DECIMAL isn't compatibile with the type I set in my custom
mapping. When I set it to Type.DECIMAL I got the same error I got with
    Types.OTHER ("Cannot attach..").
How should custom mapped fields be attached? I want Kodo to attach and
update object modified on the client side - as for the type (used as I
presume when Kodo is crafting database statement) I want the type declared
in mapping to be used (even it seems to be incompatibile with database
schema, my JDBC driver will take care of it converting it on-the-fly). I've
been looking for some clues in docs, but no success so far. Any hints?

that happens when the same price setting fields (contract and list price) are not set for all the views in the catalog .

  • Where to set Mapped Primary Table

I am using sunOne studio 4 update 1, EE.

OK I know where to set these fields now.
It is set in the Sun ONE AS tab pane.
However, here comes the next problem.
The Wizard generated schema does not recognise the primary key fields so I can not map CMP to any table :-)
I think this is a bug because I have generated schemas from 3 different databases (IBM, MySWL, SAP) and the tables have primary key fields.
When I get a connection in Runtime Pane under Database node, I can see the primary fields are highlighted with red color.
However, when I obtain the schema using, New->Database->Database Schema, there are no key fields generated.
Anyone have any ideas, work around?
    Thanks
