Hi When i try to join the source table with the lookup table in ODI 11.1.6. I am getting the following error. Can anyone help me with that

Hi.
I have the same error message also, but in my case it was when I tried to start a package.
I have found that there is a patch (Patch 14087811) so I am going to check would it help or not.

    For my scenario read data from source .txt file and insert the data into target table.suppose source file data length exceeds max col length of the target table.Then How will I truncate the data so that data migration will be successful and also can avoid the ODI error " ORA-12899: value too large for column".

    You are right.It is for Loading SrcSet0 Load data.I have increased the column length for target table data store
    and then apply the substring function but it results the same.

  • Capture odi error log files

    hi
    how to capture an odi error log file for an odi package?
    Kindly suggest me in this.

    ODI execution log is stored in the repository, so you could query it to retrieve the needed information. Also you could use substitution api getPrevStepLog() to retrieve error log (code & message) for the certain step. And for OdiOSCommand you could capture error log in the specified Error file.

  • ODI Error Unable to load data

    Hi Frnds,
    I'm New to ODI tech. i need your assistance in resolving the following issue:
    My source has - 6 rows of data
    My target has - no rows.
    both source and target are oracle, and i used Ikm: sql to oracle and IKM: sql control append and oracle incremental update
    but still it was unable to load the data.
    In the operator window, i was able to view that data have been loaded. - in step 3.
    But in step 6 - integration - insert new rows showing error.
    The Return code of error : 4098
    Message: ora-04098: trigger is invalid and failed revalidation.
    Even, when i tried using toad to enter the data into target database manually by writing query. It was showing same error for me.
    Is the issue is with ODI or with Oracle database ?
    Is there any method to resolve the issue ? How do we handle triggers in ODI ?

    Nobody would know the answer to your question.
    Yes you can drop the trigger. You can also drop the table too. And there will be no need to create an interface or move data.
    Sorry, I am being sarcastic here.
    We will not know if that trigger is needed or not. Maybe it belongs to an ERP app that is maintaining some business rules or its an OBIEE staging area and needs trigger to validate data. Who knows.
    You should ask your administrator as to why the trigger is invalid. What is the use of the trigger. Try to find out the source of the problem.
    You should not simply drop the trigger.

  • ODI Error: While running interface to perform Essbase ouline extraction

    Hi All,
    I have requiremnet to extract all dimensions from Essbase outline and put them into Flat Files.
    I created Essbase and Flatfile model and reversed successfully.
    I created interfaces for each dimension for extracting its metadata to flat file.
    All the interfaces ran successfully except for Entity dimension and Cube_Data.
    When i ran interface to extract Entity dimension i got the following error in "4 - Loading - SS_0 - Extract Metadata" step
    com.hyperion.odi.essbase.ODIEssbaseException: Extract operation failed : Cannot perform cube view operation. Essbase Error(1012703): Unknown calculation type [0] during the dynamic calculation. Only default agg/formula/time balance operations are handled.
    Please help me resolve this.

    This is a problem on the essbase side of things and not an ODI issue, it usually means you have a problem with a formula in the outline of your database.

    its because of ODI Timeout.
    Close ODI designer and Re Open it..
    Better to Update ODI user Parameter "Oracle Data Integrator Timeout"

    I need to know following things
    1) I have created open few tools and if business validation fails it throws OpenToolExecutionException with some error code now I want to check in which SNP_ table it goes and how cud I track my error info.

    In other way where these error messages are stored when any scenario execution fails.

    Hi Santos,
    Is it possible to use the same in OpenTool as I am invoking these steps one by one using invocation API.
    So in that case I wrote a java class as a controller and few Open Tool .
    * Condition is like we are executing steps one by one from that controller class .
    if the previous step caused exception then I use to stop all the other steps those are the successor of the same.
    * Open tool may throw some OpenToolExecutionException which depends on some businees validation and also some common java exception .
    how to use this API odiRef.getPrevStepLog() in my java code and where.
    could you please send me code for that one

  • ODI Error - Calling a function in the source database

    I am using this directly in the Interface mapping and getting the following error
    This is the syntax I am using SUM(CASE WHEN ((main.getCertDate(person_id,getdate()) >= current_timestamp) THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)
    ODI-1228: Task Load_Fact_Table1 (Integration) fails on the target MICROSOFT_SQL_SERVER connection SQLSERVER_USA.
    Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: [FMWGEN][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Cannot find either column "main" or the user-defined function or aggregate "main.dbo.getCertDate", or the name is ambiguous.
    Am I missing any additional steps, before calling a function in the mapping. Do I have to do something in the model to include teh function etc., Please help in fixing this issue.

    it says that JDK must be required instead of jre .

    Looks like the single quotes around Frozen are not ascii single quotes. They seem to be a copy paste job from MSWord.
    It should be 'Frozen' and then you shouldnt have that issue
