OID and Worklist Application

Hi all,
I'm using BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2 (JBoss). My Worklist App is using the XML-based JAZN Provider and I want to upgrade it into LDAP-Based JAZN Provider with OID.
I installed OID successfully. The oidmon and oidctl are running (Thanks for ldapcheck). I not yet put any new configurations into that OID server.
Following the first step of BPEL Process Manager's Developer Guide, I knew that I should use ldifmigrator to lookup the OID and create the ldif file:
$ldifmigrator "input_file=system-oid.sbs" "output_file=system-oid.ldif" -lookup "host=ldap.acme.com" "port=389" "subscriber=acme" "s_UserCommonNamingAttribute=cn" dn="cn=admin" password=welcome
I want to change the script to make it compatible with my configuration, but I got stuck here. The host and port is ok, but the other parameters confused me a lot.
I don't know how to configure the subscriber "acme". In case the host is "mypc.com", the subscriber is "mypc"? How can I configure to OID to have a subscriber which named "mypc"?
I also don't know where is the cn=admin in my OID. I used the ldapsearch and didn't see any cn=admin. Does it create automatically after running the ldifmigrator? Or do i need to create cn=admin before running ldifmigrator? and how can I do that?
I'm newbie of OID. Could you please help me to identify such new information. I tried to read it in the OID Administrator/Developer guide, but it's not quite clear.

Usually the admin user in the OID is called cn=orcladmin .
It should already exist. Be aware that if you use multiple realms in the OID then you have more than one orcladmin user. So you have to point to the orcladmin user of the realm.

BPEL control and Worklist Application cannot run after adding new realm

I using command line to add new realm, roles, and users in JAZN.
Then, I change the default system-jazn-data.xml (BPEL---should be BPEL or BPM, cannot remember, HW) to the new one.
Then, stop and restart soa suite.
In the applicaiton server control, I cannot find the BPEL and HW. I cannot start the Worklist Application, and bpel Control. It shows cannot find page.
In jDeveloper, when I create a human task, it shows BPMIdentityServer error and the realm is emply.
How to return to the default realm? Should I reinstall again?

Hi Pucha,
In the file system-jazn-data.xml, I can find the new realm added by me.
I reset the new realm to orabpel / hw_services / ruleauthor / ccore/ .......
Then, I restart the server, create new AS and IS connection.
However, I still cannot find the new realm name in the dropdown list of Human task in Jdeveloper.
How to find the new realm in Jdeveloper? Did I miss something?
I also create a new instance, new realm, new roles, new users, new AS connection, and IS connection. But I still cannot find the new realm in the dropdown list in the human task of Jdeveloper.

Worklist application not able to authnticate with OID

Hi,
I have configured my BPEL PM (Out side Mid-Tier) with OID by configuring is_config.xml file. But the Worklist is not logging into. I made modification in jazn.xml by adding OID entry and also modified the orion-application.xml of that working application to pointing to OID. Still not able to login.
Any clue?

Then I restarted the OC4J_BPEL container.
I tried the following URL:

and could find all my users.
I then tried logging in from the Worklist Application and that also worked ..

Configuring OID as identity service for WorkList Application

I am trying to configure the OID as the provider for IdentityService in worklist application,but getting following error,
PCException(): err is 10555

If you have business logic in db(as set of plsql packages, triggers, ...) and this logic relies on db users and roles for authentication/authorization then you can also consider using database proxy user.
Of course, with this approach you still need to authenticate your users somehow(maybe by programmatically executing db connect in your login code, or by using Custom RDBMS Authenticator or by using Read Only RDBMS Authenticator and separate db table, ...), but after setting proxy user on adf connection, existing business logic in plsql packages, triggers, etc. should work as expected.

Question about Worklist application and attachments

Hello,
I am using Oracle Bpel 10.1.2.1. I created a simple flow with a user task (Simple workflow). Then , in the worklist application, I attach one file, but when I see the BPELConsole, the oraBPMTaskMessage does not have the reference to the attachment and I am not able to acces the uploaded file. Is there something I am missing?. I already tried the Document Review Sample , and it works fine because I get the file URL in the payload, but when I use the attach option in the worklist application I can't obtain it.

Task attachments are not sent back and forth in the task XML due to the potential issues with the size of attachments. Hence, you don't see the attachments in the task object in the BPEL process. BPEL XPath extension functions ora:getTaskAttachment(....) (there are a few variations of this) and ora:getTaskAttachmentCount(...) will get the attachments as base64 encoded string. Please look at the extension functions and the user documentation for more details.

Bpel worklist application

I have developed a BPEL process wherein it would go through 10 levels of approval.I have 10 human tasks which are of single approver since after every approval i need to get some data from different systems.
For comments and attachments to get displayed in approval process like the first guy has put in some comments in comments field and the second guy should see i have selected an option in human task in advanced properties(include task history from 1st.)
I have a problem over here like every time i approve the task in worklist iam not able to search the task for that user...i used all the options like search form my group etc.

This is my ias_config.file. I do not see any searchbase attribute. Also I can search any new user created by OIDDAS or OID Admin tool in to worklist application but not any user created as bootstrap from Active Directory.

How can we get ADFSecurity work when used in OC4J, OID and OAM?

I am getting error in http server log "mod_oc4j: Response status=499 and reason=Oracle SSO, but failed to get mod_osso global context."
But I am not using Oracle SSO and my client doesn't want to use it either, I am using OAM SSO(CoreIDSSO) in my configuration. Please read the details below.
I am using ADFSecurity in an app that is protected by OAM. To migrate ADFSecurity permissions from
system-jazn-data.xml to OID, I used JAZNMigrationTool to populate OID with Grantees and Permissions. OAM gives login page, and authentication works fine.
But ADFSecurity is not working. ADFComponent Delete button is enabled even for roles that dont have permissions for the iterator delete.
- The app works fine when I use without OAM. ADF Security permissions work fine.
- The app works fine when used with OAM, but with ADFSecurity disabled (enforce=false).
- When I enforce ADFSecurity alongwith OAM, ADFSecurity is not working.
In the doc "Oracle Containers for J2EE Security Guide b28957", there is a mention of use of CoreIDPrincipal for permissions. Our OID Permissions entries show
LDAPRealmRole for attribute orcljaznprincipal. I am not sure if this could be the reason.
We have configured AccessServerSDK for the SOA instance and have policy for the urls in the policy manager. We have entries in orion-application.xml, orion-web.xml and system-jazn-data.xml as per the documentations.
How can we get ADFSecurity work when used with OID and OAM?

Have you been able to successfully integrate OAS with OAM & OID? We have similar requriement and so far we have not been able to get it working.
We have application specific roles which we map to OID roles using orion-application.xml.
Any pointers to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

How to hide custom actions from Oracle Worklist Application (Conceptual)

Hi,
I have a conceptual question in relation to Worklist Application and the Oracle Workflow. I will explain, now:

As you can see, i have 4 custom actions (ENVIAR_ANALISE_FRAUDE, APROVAR, REPROVAR, ENVIAR_ANALISE_NIVEL2) and i have three main regions in the image
(Action By Menu 1, Action By Menu 2 and Action By Button 3).
I have to make same custom validations when the user to choose any action, then inside of the JSPX file (Human Task Page Generated), i made the following customizations to reach my objective:
1) At the Region 2 (Action By Menu 2) - I delete these lines of code to hide the actions:

3) The great problem for me now is the region 1 (Region By Menu 1), this the part of Oracle Worklist Application and i cannot hide this Menu or change anything inside it. If the user click at the 'APROVAR' action, my custom validations will be ignored and the Workflow will approve my task, without intervention of my validations.
After explaining everything this, here are my questions:
1) Is this the correct way to work with the Oracle Soa Suite ?
2) How can i hide the Region 1 (Action By Menu 1) ? Is possible ?

Building Custom Worklist application in 11g using wlfullclient.jar

Can anybody mention me the detailed steps to be followed to build a custom Worklist application.
I have created a Web application jdev 11g
I placed the following url to create

Difference between BPM Worklist Application & BPM WorkSpace

Hi
I'm a newbie to Oracle BPM.
I want to understand the difference between
Oracle BPM Worklist APplication (that we use for Human Tasks in SOA : host:port/integration/worklistapp)
and
Oracle Business Process Workspace (host:port/bpm/workspace)
I've done a sample BPM process to which the initiator is jcooper.
When I deployed the app, I could find the task in Workspace but not in WorklistApp. Why is it?
I know that one is specifically intended for BPM, but why can't we see the task for jcooper in WorklistApp?
Also, Can you extend your answer to explain Process Composer too(in this context )?
P.S. I could not find a post that covers the diff b/w the three at a high level.

Difference between Oracle BPM Worklist & Oracle BPM Workspace

Worklist Application page errors out in SOA suite 10.1.3.1

All,
I have installed SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 and going through the given BPEL samples/demos.
I am trying "VacationRequest" demo.
I am able to deploy the process in BPEL and initiated the process via BPEL console. After that I could not get the Worklist Application login page.
URL: http://{hostname}:9700/integration/worklistapp/Login
Error: The page cannot be displayed
Please let me know whether I am missing any setup/installables ?

Due to lack of detailed information about the error, I would recommend checking on the usual culprits - the port number and the host name.
Please check the port number you are using. The port numer chosen during the install is in the bpelsetupinfo.txt in SOA_Oracle_Home\install\ directory.
Also, do you see any errors on the server?

OID and Oracle Forms in 9iAS Release 2

Whenever I bring up a first form in 9iAS forms over the web scenario, I am forced to log into the database through a pop up login box in IE. This is so even though I have a perfectly valid "userid=user/pwd@database" value in the URL. I have tried moving the userid value to the formsweb.cfg group and it helps not a whit. Once I log on everything works hunkydory. I am figuring there is some issue with OID. Is this a valid assumption?
How, exactly, does the OID and forms over the web interact. Do I need to create an OID user that has resource access to the database and then use that id in the userid variable in the URL? If so, how do I do this. Please feel free to be specific as if you were talking to an idiot or a small child...type very slowly and enunciate as you go. Not being able to log in from the formsweb.cfg and the URL is an irritant, not a showstopper, but it is a big irritant.

Oracle BPEL Worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI portal

Hi,
I am integrating the Oracle BPEL sample worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI in a community page.
I have 2 urgent queries...and desperate to look for a resolution...
1) On opening the page where the remote portlet is placed ,it is very very slow to open the firt login screen in IE6.However the page is loading fast in IE7 or netscape.Every time the login page is hit we need to refresh the page to load it quickly..
2)on thewebservice configuration section for portlet -- > http Configuration ,I have created a gateway and added our Oracle BPEL worklist context to gateway the request.There is a option like Inline refresh..
a)If inline refresh is unchecked ,the BPEL worklist is not retaining the portlet nature like minimize ,maximize and the top community navigation is lost.
b)however if inline refesh is checked..The portlet nature is retained ,however there is javascript error coming in the page which is not allowing some of the vanilla features of BPEL worklist is working properly like clicking some buttons and taking actions...
Is this some configuration to be made in the ALUI side or some thing else...Please let me know if there is any solution to this...

Now I am able to display the initial page of the remote portlet. However, when I try to do some operations I m running into one more issue:
[WSRP-Consumer:420733]No markup received from the producer [oraclePortal_producer] for portlet with portletHandle[E:3:default].
Is there anything futher I need to do?

Adding additional field in tasklist page of worklist application

Hi,
I'm working on customizing the worklist application in SOA 10.1.3.4.
I need to add an extra field systemMessageAttributes.textAttribute1 in tasklist page of the worklist application.
Can any one provide me the procedure for the same.
I tried using flexi field mapping and was able to create mapping for TextAttribute1.
How can I retrieve this mapping in the Tasklist.jsp.
Can anyone help me out.

File WorklistappConstants.java has the list of columns to display, almost at the end.
Add your text attribute here, e.g.
USER_PREF_DEFAULTS.put(PARAM_USER_PREF_INBOX_COL+"8",
WFTaskConstants.TEXTATTRIBUTE1_COLUMN);
This works for other columns, like WFTaskConstants.ASSIGNEEGROUPS_COLUMN,
but I'm currently struggling with WFTaskConstants.TEXTATTRIBUTE3_COLUMN.
Even if this is the only change I make, the WorklistApp crashes in my environment.
