OIM 11g Double provisioning
Hi gurus,
I've configured access policy-based provisioning for Active Directory. Every time a user is created with a particular role, a provisioning for this user is started for the Active Directory resource.
Everything goes as expected except that two provisioning process instance are created, so the user is provisioned with two accounts.
I use OIM 11g 11.1.1.5.0
Regards,
Vladimir
Hi Bikash,
just seen the bug page on Oracle support site. It reads just:
OIM CREATE MULTIPLE RESOURCE OBJECTS WHEN YOU REQUEST MULTIPLE ROLES
no any detail/workarounds etc. :-( So no support on support site this time.
More over, I assign a single role to a single user.
The problem seems to arise due to OIM creates multiple parallel processing threads for doing things, but failed to synchronise them properly. If I stop my execution thread just after it created a new user, but before the role is assigned to it for a while, everything seems to work Ok.
Regards,
Vladimir
PS: I'm still eager to hear of any solutions

OIM 11g to provision a web services based application , how ?
Hi All,
I'm trying to provision using GTC connector in OIM but the problem is i know how to write a webservice but i'm newbie to OIM 11g so i am not able to integrate my webservice to the OIM GTC connector.
Highly appreciate if any one give me the background or steps to follow how to execute the provisioning using custom web service in OIM 11g.
ThanksHi,
-Just trying to help-
Based on OIM 11G requirements:
If your target system is a Web service that can accept and parse SPML-based provisioning requests packaged in SOAP messages, you can use the SPML provisioning format provider and Web Services provisioning transport provider.
You need not create custom provisioning providers.
1-SPML provisioning format provider
TargetOperation value object that is created by the SPML provisioning format provider and used as an input for the Web Services provisioning transport provider:
com.thortech.xl.gc.impl.prov.WSTransportTargetOperation
2-15.4 Web Services Provisioning Transport Provider

OIM 11G R2 Provisioning User to Oracle DB
Hello Experts,

When i was executed Checkout in catalog why no content for details ? User can't Provisioning to DB.
Have you any ideas?
Thanks!I appreciate your feedback very much.
My operation steps are as follows:
1) install DBAT 9.1.05
2)create connector "Database Application Tables Provisioning"
3)The system automatically created IT resources and Application Instances
4)Create Sandbox and activate it
5)edit Application Instances, create Form
6) Publish Sandbox
7)Run "Catalog Synchronization Job"
8)login /identity
9)create user
10)request acttouts
11) catalog-->add to cart --> checkout ! -
OIM 11g - automatically provision a user with AD
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie with OIM and to begin, I would like to provision a user with my AD directly after we create him on OIM. So I created an Access Policy for the resource AD User with the correct Ad Server and the correct Organization and I affect it for All Users. When I create a new user and I give some additional informations like the address, phone number, email for example, this user is well provisioned on my AD but the only informations which are provisioned are his login, his first name, his last name and none of the others.
I don't understand why. Do I have to set up an adaptater for this ? I've also checked Auto Save and Auto Pre-populate in the Process Definition but I don't know if it's the right thing to do.
If you can help me with this. (I know this is a really "newbie" question but it'll help me a lot to understand OIM basics functionalities)
Thanks a lot !
ThibaultI don't think that Oracle has used any kind of Java Code for this. You can simply create Logical task to achieve the same.
Anyways AD Connector comes with two jar files and you can get thsoe JARs from Connector Pack itself or from Database.
Go through Design Console guide for details.
And also for your use case follow steps:
Go to Form Design
Search UD_ADUSER
Create New Version
Save
Go to Prepopulate Tab
Click Add
Select your attribute
Adapter as ADCS Populate First Name, Rule as Default, Order as integer value say 7
Save
Do mapping of variable with User Definition > Field Name -
OIM 11g R2 - Provisioning to DB Application Table
I have installed a DB Application table connector installed. I create a new GTC provisioning resource with parent and child table. It created the form for me automatically.
Here is what my form looks like
Parent Table Columns: user_id, department
Child Table columns: user_id, role
I have specified user_id in child table as a foreign key from the parent table. Once the forms are created I went to /sysadmin UI and create a new Form from Form Designer (request dataset in R1). It recognizes the parent and child relationship. Then I went an created a application instance with that form so that I can request it using a catalog. When I request the resource using the catalog, it provisions the user to parent table fine but does not provision it to the child table. Is there something I have to do extra to provision it to the child table? I've done this setup in R1 and it works fine without customizing anything other then creating a dataset.Did you add any value in Child Data Set while submitting the request ?
I heard that there's some issue with Child Form Reconciliation but provisioning works fine (for one element)

Problem with Acess policy based Provisioning using DBConnecor in OIM 11g R2
Hi,
I am doing Access policy based Provisioning using DB Connector 9.1.0.5.0 in OIM 11g r2.
it is throwing ITResource Instance with key 0 does not exist. but there no option to select it resource in Process form via Acesspolicy.
in Application instance form there is a form in that it-resource field is available with default value 0. i am trying to update this value it is not updating . at the time of triggering access policy i am getting following error.

Edited by: 853559 on Oct 12, 2012 2:25 PMYou can re-visit access policy It will have the Process form where you can provide the access policy and save it. Access policy is already created so you can modify access policy and open the process form select IT Resource and save it.
Another way to write pre-pop adapter for populating IT Resource on the process form. But I am sure you can provide it resource via access policy.

Direct provisioning through API - OIM 11g
Hi,
OIM 11g here. I am trying to use the APIs to make direct provisioning. What i have done till now:
tcUserOperationsIntf userIntf = (tcUserOperationsIntf)ioUtilityFactory.getUtility("Thor.API.Operations.tcUserOperationsIntf");
ResourceData rd = userIntf.provisionResource(userkey, objectkey);
now, in the ResourceData object i have two ids, obiKey and ouiKey. Now i need to extract the process instance key with those numbers. How can i do this?
Using the userIntf getObjects method i can get the list of objects provisioned, iterate over it and retrieve the process instance key of the object which matches obiKey and ouiKey. Is there an easier method to do this?
Another question, which one is the process instance key, ORC_KEY or ORC_TOS_INSTANCE_KEY ?
Last, how do i trigger the task responsible for provisioning given the filled process form?
thx in advanceOk, i guess the process instance key is ORC_KEY.
Now i am trying to provision through APIs a resource object (say AD User) to an OIM user. I have used the provisionResource(userkey, objectkey) method, but the Create User task is not put in the Resource History (there is only the System Validation Task), and i don't know how to look for it's task id to add it manually. -
OIM 11g-configure SoD so that it works for direct provisioning of the roles
Dear All,
page 23-3 of Developer's Guide (OIM 11g) provides information regarding configuration of the SoD for Direct provisioning of the resources. How to configure SoD so that it works for direct provisioning of the roles?
Thank you for your time
MariaRajiv,
I did not find the documentation regarding this. But I hoped I will.
In my project we assign roles directlly, not resources.
I suspect the integration with Role Manager is required in this case. SoD module in OIA should be used then.

Provision a Resource Object to Organization automatically in OIM 11g
Hi All,
How to provision a resource Object to Organizations automatically in OIM 11g.
Can we use Access Policy for this , if not , is there any other way to solve this.
Regards
Edited by: 903745 on 31 May, 2012 1:40 AMAre you referring to creating an resource object (e.g. group) on the Organization itself (as opposed to users in that Organization) ? If so this can be done from a post-process event handler on the Organization object.

Issues with offline provisioning in OIM 11G
We are facing an issue with OIM 11G where we are trying to provision few resources via offline provisioning. Ths issue is that when I do a provisioning/disable/enable on the resource the status of the resource says something like "provisioning in queue/Disable in queue/Enable in queue". This is not happenning all the time but seems to be consistent when I repeatedly disable/enable the resource. Once the status of hte resource remains "in queue" it is never changed back to the actual status which says provisioned/disabled/enabled. Can anyone provide me an insight of what is happenning here and how the offline events are processed within OIM? Is there any way to get the status of the resource back to normal? Please let me know.
Thanks!Check

Steps to enable Automatic provisioning in OIM 11g
Hi,
I am trying to configure my OIM 11g to automatically provision the resource into OID.
I am able to do the provisioning manually but as per my requirement, when I register the user details in OIM the record must be created in OID automatically.
Can u please mention the steps I must follow for the same.
RegardsHi Pk
I Checked the task "System Validation" status for the Resource. It was Pending as told I selected Auto Save in the process definition of the resource in design console.
Now my resource gets provisioned but only when I attach user to the Role created by me. By default user gets attached to the All Users Role.
What configuration changes should i make so that the user on creation gets attached to custom Role created by me.

OIM 11g - Issue with Bulk Load Utility for Account Data
Hi,
We are trying to load the account data for users in OIM 11g using bulk load utility.
We are trying to load the account data for resource "iPlanet". For testing purpose, we made one account entry in csv file and run the bulk load utility. After the bulk load process completes, we have noticed that resource is provisioned to the user multiple times and multiple entries have been created in process form table.
We have tried to run the utility multiple times with a different user record each time.
The out put of the below sql query:
SELECT MSG FROM OIM_BLKLD_LOG
WHERE MODULE = 'ACCOUNT' AND LOG_LEVEL = 'PROGRESS_MSG'
ORDER BY MSG_SEQ_NO;
is coming as follows:
MSG
Number of Records Loaded: 126
Number of Records Loaded: 252
Number of Records Loaded: 504
Number of Records Loaded: 1008
Number of Records Loaded: 2016
Number of Records Loaded: 4032
We have noticed that each time the number of records loaded is increased to double from the records loaded in last run even when the csv file contains only one record.
Provided below are the parent and child csv file entries.
Parent file:
UD_IPNT_USR_USERID,UD_IPNT_USR_FIRST_NAME,UD_IPNT_USR_LAST_NAME,UD_IPNT_USR_COMMON_NAME,UD_IPNT_USR_NSUNIQUEID
KPETER,Peter,Kevin,Peter Kevin,
Child file 1:
UD_IPNT_USR_USERID,UD_IPNT_GRP_GROUP_NAME
KPETER,group1
Child file 2:
UD_IPNT_USR_USERID,UD_IPNT_ROL_ROLE_NAME
KPETER,role1
Can you please throw some insight on what could be the potential cause for this issue and how it could be resolved?
Thanks
Deepa
Edited by: user10955790 on Jun 25, 2012 6:45 AMHi Deepa,
I know from 'User load' perspective that is required to restart Oracle Identity Manager when we need to reload data that was not loaded during the first run.
So, my suggestion is restart it before reload.
