OIM: Lookup/Search for OIM user to include in a process form.

running OIM 11.1.1.5
I have a form for a custom provisioning target. One of the form fields (UD_RESOURCE_RESPONSIBLEUSER) is to be defined as a lookup query and I need to have the lookup query search users to assign to this field.
Can anyone point me to a sample lookup query that can be used to populate a query box, similar to the "MANAGER" attribute is populated in OIM? What if I wanted to have a multi-valued attribute (i.e.: have more than one responsible user? )
Thanks in advance

Refer:
User list lookup
or
Lookup Query
And for multiple values, make UD_RESOURCE_RESPONSIBLEUSER a child table

  • Search for all user messages doesnot work now ?

    Hello SDNer's,
    I often search my own questions and posts entering the keywords in Search for all user messages. After our forum has been revamped this functionality seems not be working as it used to. When I enter the keywords and Enter it throws me results from Expert Forums instead showing results just from my ID/Username.
    Have anyone noticed this ?
    Please comment Mods.
    Happy New Year to all SDNer's !!!

  • How can I set OIM password policy for OID Users.

    Hi,
    For me the target resourec is OID. When I create users in OIM, they get provisioned to OID. Their password also gets stored in OID.
    Now, I have a password policy in OIM. In that policy, the password exipration day is set to 28 days. After 28 days, the user's password will expire in OIM. Is there any way that password will also expire in OID too, so that user will not be able to login in OID?
    Thanks in advance.

    You need to do the following.
    1. Find the attribute in OID that determines the disable date.
    2. Add a field to your provisioning process definition form.
    3. Using a pre-populate adapter, use an input of your oim user account expiration date, and convert that to the format OID uses.
    4. Update your lookup for provisioning attributes to include this new field to map the field name to the OID attribute.
    5. Create an "Updated" task for this field so that when it gets changed, the new value is pushed to OID.
    6. Create a user form trigger value for the field that maps to the oim user account expiration field. For this trigger, add a task to your oid provisioning process that does the same tasks as your pre-populate adapter to determine the new date value and pass it to the field on the process form.
    Now when the OIM expiration date changes, this value will be passed to OID, and also when the account is first created.
    Does this work for you?

  • ADF11g - integration with OIM -folder structure for OIM configuration files

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to make call to a remote OIM using OIM API, from my ADF backing bean onclick of a button
    on the JSPX page.
    I'm able to compile the page, but the issues I'm facing is that I'm not able to read the configuration details
    specified for OIM connectivity from the OIM configuration files (authwl.conf, xl.policy, xlconfig.xml).
    So do any one know what is going to be the folder structure for these config files (OIM), when we are integrating to
    this API from ADF backing bean.
    Thanks All .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Dharmathej M

    Hi Daniel, thanks for the response but i readed that doc before asking here and that's one of the reasons of my question.
    On the first line of the doc it says *"This appendix includes instructions that describe how to configure WebSphere so that Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) and Oracle Identity Analytics (OIA) can be installed on separate servers."*
    It assumes both products are on different servers and also the creation of an new profile and node for oia.
    WAS_NDS_HOME/AppServer/bin/manageprofiles.sh -create*
    -templatePath WAS_NDS_HOME/AppServer/profileTemplates/managed*
    -profileName oia-managed01 -profilePath WAS_NDS_HOME/profiles/oia-managed01*
    -nodeName oia-managed01-node01 -hostname hostname*
    Integrate the OIA node to the OIM Cell by typing the following command on the OIA Machine:*
    cd OIM_HOME/xellerate/setup; ./xlAddNode.sh oia-managed01 oia-managed01-node01 192.168.21.9 8883 xelsysadm password1*
    Our intention is to use same machines, servers,... oim is using so we don't need to use extra machines or create extra websphere objects.
    Any tips on that?
    Regards.

  • Checking User rights in CMC 3.2 : How to search for a user ?

    Hello,
    We are in XI 3.2, and the rights applied on Public Folders are based on user groups, not individuals (hopefully).
    In the CMC, when we want, for support purpose, to check what is the results of these rights for a given user, the "Select" panel for users shows the full list of users in the CMS, by pages, without any search option.
    This is hardly usable when several hundreds of users are declared.
    Scenario :
    - In CMC, Folder Entry, select a folder, contextual menu + user security
    - The list of groups with rights applicable on this folder appears, select any of them and then click on "View Security" Button
    - The panel Permissions Explorer appears
    - On top-left hand side, select Browse button after "Principal"
    - Panel "Select User or Group" shows up and in users list, I find the full list of users of the CMS, based on dozens of pages without any way to search for a given user except browsing the pages.
    How can we check rights of a specific user for a given folder without having to browse the full users list ?
    Thanks for helping.

    I think you might have to run a security query for what you are looking for.
    Its this way:
    -In the Users and Groups area, in the Details panel, select the user or group that you want to run a security query for.
    -On the Manage menu, point to Tools and click Security Query.
    This should list everything.
    Some correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks

  • Search for specific user in an Active Directory group

    Hello,
    I have an OU containing a number of Groups. Each group contains a number of members.
    I'm currently retrieving the entire list of members from each group by searching for the members attrib for each group. This is not an ideal approach as the query execute time is a bit too long.
    from what I can tell, the group class is group (opposed to a groupofuniquenames). Is there a way to query for the specific member?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
    I have read the first post you gave, but not the second. I'm off to read that now.
    My main concern is that I don't have access to the DN of the user in the member attrib. I have access to their CN and uid (which is indexed). From what I can recall from when I last updated this code, I couldn't create a wildcard search filter e.g.,:
    (&(cn=All Scientists)(objectClass=Group)(member=CN=Albert Einstein*))
    If that's correct and I require a DN, is there any way around this?
    I was interested in the posixGroup and groupOfUniqueNames classes. I wasn't aware that these were available through Active Directory, but I see them listed in the AD schema (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms683908(VS.85).aspx).
    If I'm correct, posixGroup would allow for a filter of (&(cn=All Scientists)(objectClass=posixGroup)(memberUid=AEinstein))
    I'm not sure how typical it is to use the posixGroup class in AD and I'll have to check with my AD team before moving forward with this. But I wanted to get some more direction/ideas before asking them to create some posixGroup objects for me.
    I'm now going to go and read the second post you linked, but I wanted to put the rest of my details out there.
    Thanks again.

  • Using get-aduser to search for enabled users in entire domain filter ..

    Hi,
    my first post here.
    I have the following problem. I am trying to figure out to create a powershell command (with get-aduser) that searches for only enabled
    users (in the entire domain),  whose user account login names starts with "b" or "B" (because their user account login names are composed of Bnnnnn, n=numbers). I suppose that a string of "B*" in the command should be sufficient. The query result
    must show the user account login name (Bnnnnn),  first name
    and last name  and the enabled  (yes) status  of those enabled users. I would like to write the entire query result to a file (csv format), saving it to c: for example
    Please help. Thanks in advance

    I use -LDAPFilter mostly because I am used to the LDAP syntax. It can be used in PowerShell, VBScript, dsquery, VB, and many command line utilities (like Joe Richards' free adfind utility). Active Directory is an LDAP compliant database.
    The PowerShell -Filter syntax can do the same things, but the properties it exposes are really aliases. I'm used to the AD attribute names, like sAMAccountName and userAccountControl. PowerShell uses things like "enabled" and "surname", which are aliases
    you need to know or look up. For example, the Get-ADUser default and extended properties, with the actual AD attributes they are based on, are documented here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/12037.active-directory-get-aduser-default-and-extended-properties.aspx
    Finally, note that the "Name" property refers to the Relative Distinguished Name (RDN) of the object, which for user objects is the value of the cn attribute (the Common Name of the user). This may not uniquely identify the user, as it only needs to be unique
    in the parent OU/container. The user login name (pre-Windows 2000 logon name) is the value of the sAMAccountName attribute, which must be unique in the domain. In the Wiki article I linked, we see that the PowerShell alias for this attribute is "SamAccountName"
    (in this case the name of the property matches the name of the AD attribute). All of this can be confusing.

  • Search for podcasts no longer includes category?

    Hi! Could someone confirm that the categories (at least the second category, e.g., "Language Courses" where the first category is "Education") is no longer used to index podcasts? E.g., if I search for "spanish language courses" I get only 16 podcasts, which don't even include popular spanish language courses such as SpanishPod or SpanishPod101. I think this was different until very recently.
    I guess the solution for podcast makers is to include the second category in the keywords or the description.

    Roger,
    thanks for your answer, but I believe that this is a different problem: SpanishPod and SpanishPod101 are among the top 15 featured podcasts for the category "language courses" and they still don't appear when I search for "spanish language course".
    Hm, maybe the problem is a different one than I expected: when I search for "spanish language courses" (with "s") I get all the podcasts that I expect to get, when I search for "spanish language course" (without "s") I get only a small fraction. As far as I remember, the plural-"s" hasn't mattered before in searches but it appears to matter now. Maybe the allowed deviations of the spelling in searches has been lowered recently. Well, in this case the "problem" is less important than I thought.

  • Search for coding possible thru Toad, but not thru Forms Builder

    Hi all,
    I am searching for a particular word 'instalment' which is used in forms. when I search using 'Find and Replace PL/SQL' there are no matches. But in Toad, when i search in 'Find in Files', its displaying the code containing the above word in a particular .fmb file. why this is happening?? I am in urgent need of that code.
    Pls help me.. its urgent!!
    Edited by: user13106173 on Dec 6, 2010 3:05 AM

    When I open that file in Quick view from ToadWhich file are you referring too when you say "that file"? I assume you mean the Forms Module (.fmb), but I hate to assume things so could you please confirm this for me? ;-)
    How can we see attached library details?There is no way to view the PL/SQL code of an attached library except by opening the library in the Forms Builder. If your form has an attached library, the Object List Report will indicate there are attached libraries in the "Attached PL/SQL Libraries" section of the report.
    * Attached PL/SQL Libraries
       * Name                                            MY_LIB_NAME
       - Comments
       * PL/SQL Library Location                         MY_LIB_NAME
       * Name                                            RP2RRO
       - Comments
       * PL/SQL Library Location                         rp2rro
    But through forms builder, I cant see the below details. Don't quote me on this, but believe TOAD's quick view displays all of the code in the .fmb, even the code of an attached library, whereas Forms Builder will allow you to see the signature of the program units in the attached library, but not the code.
    Also the ct_message display item used here is not created in this particular form. It is in some other form. How this happens?Is the CT_MESSAGE display item a Subclassed item? Meaning, it was included in your form file through an Object Library or by copying the item to the form and choosing to subclass (create a reference to) the item rather than copy of the item in your form. Oracle Forms implements inheritence through the use of subclasses. By subclassing an item (be it a Visual widget [like a button] or a Program Unit) Forms stores a refernce to the object rather than the actual object. This allows you to share and reuse code and objects.
    Check the Object List Report of your form and see if there are any attached libraries. If there are attached libraries, open these libraries in Forms Builder to find your code. It is also also possible to subclass objects in your form file through the use of Object Libraries. Check your Object List Report to see if there is an Object Groups sections:
    * Object Groups
       * Name                                            CALENDAR
       - Subclass Information
       - Comments
       * Object Group Children
         * Name                                          WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
         - Subclass Information
         * Real Object Pointed to by the Object Group Child
         * Name                                          WHEN-WINDOW-ACTIVATED
         - Subclass Information
         * Real Object Pointed to by the Object Group Child
    .....If the CT_MESSAGE item was added to your form thorugh an object library, it will be listed in this section of the object list report.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • ABAP program to search for FM/User-Exit lookups

    Hi everyone,
    I have a need to find any and all Function Modules and User Exits that may have been written in BW that are used to do a lookup of data from one InfoProvider to another.   I have found the following program from Lijo John which works for Update Rules and Transfer Rules but I need the same type program that digs into Function Modules, DTP's and any other User-Exit type code where a lookup could be performed.   These are noted as the limitations in the program Lijo John created and I was hoping maybe someone has a solution for these as well.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/bi/abapprogramtofindBIlookupsandcodePatterns
    If someone has a program that they could share that would do this it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Dave

    Thank you Ashish.  This was somewhat helpful.   I guess if there isn't an ABAP program available like I need then the next best thing would be for me to know the BW table names that holds the actual Function Module and DTP source code so that I can then create my own ABAP program that would query them for the existence of the InfoProvider name anywhere in the code.
    The goal with all of this is to find ANY lookup from ANYWHERE in BW for a specific InfoProvider so that we will know what will have to be "disconnected" if we decide to get ride of that specific InfoProvider.
    So, if anyone can tell me the tables that contain the BW Function Module and DTP ABAP source code I would appreciate it.
    Thank you,
    Dave
