OIM Managed server is frequently reaching maximum data sources count

Hi All,
We are using OIM 11.1.1.3.0 , Weblogic Version 10.3.3,database 11.2.0.1 for one of our client bank . Recently we encountered a problem that my oim managed server is being overloaded ,when we check the error i see data sources reaching maximum count . We have increased the maximum count to 500 and still we are facing the same issue . We also find out dead-locks in the alert log . Now,i dont understand why data sources consumption is too high .
Please let us know your valuable inputs on the specific areas where we can check this .

You don't need the developer to understand what code is causing the issue. You can analyse these issues using JRockit Mission Control, check these:

Try to clear your ldap folder with in your %Domain_Home%\ server \ <server name> \ data \ ldap
create a new boot.properties under %Domain_Home%\ server \ <server name> \ security folder.

The table QRTZ92_TRIGGERS is there in the database.But while trying to run this command (UPDATE QRTZ92_TRIGGERS set NEXT_FIRE_TIME=1 where NEXT_FIRE_TIME < 0)in database i am getting the table or view does not exist.
What is GTC resource?

how can i take the oim managed server thread dump
I used wlst command for this lyk follows
kill -3<pid>
./wlst.sh
connect("weblogic","password","t3://hostname:port")
threadDump()
but it is giving Admin server dump, i want oim managed server threadDump how can i get this

cd('server_oim_DEV')--which is my managed server name
threadDump()
after this i got the threadDump but i dont think so i am getting different file
when i open this it is mentioned lyk Admin server dump

According to your description, you are using Enterprise Core edition and you are prompted that you can’t use remote data sources.
In your scenario, we neither ignore your point nor be doubt with what you say. But actually we have met the case before that even though the SQL Server engine is Enterprise but the reporting services is still standard. So I would recommend you to find the
actual edition of reporting services you are using. You can find Reporting Services starting SKU in the Reporting Service logs ( default location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\<instance name>\Reporting Services\LogFiles). For more information,

Starting OIM managed server

I had th weblogic managed server running with command:
xlStartmanagedServer.sh OIM_DOMAIN http://localhost:7001
This was working fine. Now, after restart, I issue the same command and I get an error:
$/bin/setDomainEnv.sh: No such file or directory.
In looking at the script xlStartManagedServer.sh, it seems $bea_domain$ is not set. The file its looking for is in the bea domain directory.
Not sure what happened.
Any idea anyone?

Problem in starting OIM managed server

After configuring the Managed server in a cluster, when we try to start the server it is starting in ADMIN mode.
The SOA Managed server was started successfully.

Have you done any changes in Weblogic Admin Console ?
Login into Weblogic Console and see what it shows for "Undo All Changes" and "Activate Changes" button.
If "Activate Changes" in enabled then click on that and try to restart.

Error message says it all.
With SQL Express, Data source should be local SQL DB.
With SQL Enterprise, Standard, BI edition, you can create Data soruce which are hosted on other servers.

INST-6180:Error while retrieving OIM managed Server URL from the domain

Hi All,
1). Getting the above error when running config.sh from MWHOME/Oracle_IDM1/bin/config.sh
2). I already ran the config.sh from COMMON/bin directory.
3). Extended the domain to support OIM and this ran fine.
any suggestions?

The nuance is in basically setting your connection manager right.
If I remember correctly, I did that using the ODBC/ADO, but I do not remember the Sybase version.

No visibility of local SQL Server instance when configuring ODBC data source

I am setting up an app. requiring ODBC access to a SQL Server DB using a Windows Server 2008 R2 OS on a VM, with a local SQL Server 2014 instance. When configuring either a new user or system ODBC DSN, using the ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server
(version 2014.120.2008.08), the dropdown list of servers is empty. How do I get it to see the local SQL Server instance?

For the local default instance, just enter "." or "(local)" for the server name. For a named instance, the SQL Server Browser service needs to be running to enumerate the named instances automatically but you can still type the
instance name.

Hi,
I am assuming in clustered environment you are having two instances running.
It must be an issue with a single server,,because the problem is intermittent.
To see which server is causing problem....just perform the following steps:
1) Stop server1 and keep running server2..and fire new registration request...
2) stop server 2..and keep running server1.....and fire new registration request.
Using above, atleast you can see which server is causing the problem...

I am trying to understand how the value of the DATA_SOURC field in the extract structure FTI_BIW_CM in DS 0TR-CM-1 is populated. This value propagates to the InfoProvider (0TRCM_RC1) and standard content queries have a hard-coded restriction to a value of '2' The DS is returning values of 1 and 2 and I need to understand the implications of the two values. The help pages don't provide this information.

Extractor 0TR_CM_1 reads from table FDSB and FDSR. Not sure what could be
the reason for this code to avoid zero values. Please check with application
colleagues if zero values are allowed for this field in ECC system.

Application Server Data Source settings help needed (10.1.2.0.2)

Can someone tell me what maximum values can I set in the following properties under Connection Attributes when I define a DataSource on
Application Server. I have almost 25+ web application deployed on my 10.1.2.0.2 server that all uses one data source I have defined. Now the issue is the number of requests
are very high and every now and then I get timeout error when trying to get the database connection. At one particular instance at peak time I may get over 200+ requests that
do some databse connections etc. Following are my current settings. But need to increase some more but wondering what are the maximum values I can have. I have only one server 10.1.2.0.2
Connection Retry Interval (seconds) = 5
Max Connection Attempts = 3
Cached Connection Inactivity Timeout (seconds) = 30
Maximum Open Connections = 60
Minimum Open Connections = 10
Wait For Free Connection Timeout (seconds) = 15
What other properties can I have to make use of datasource effectively.

thanks for the reply....
the managed server is pointing to jrokit_160_22_D1.1.1-3 jdk....the server has enough ram also...while running the managed server showing status 'STARTING' for long period of time...and the admin server health goes 'Warning' because of threadpool....when we stop the managed server then adminserver health becomes ok...
