OM Interface using IDOC
Hello,
We have implemented a distribution model to register changes in some infotypes for object types O, S, C, JF. One of the infotypes to be passed is 1001. It works for all the infotypes and objects, including infotype 1001, but there is a relation not working, which is the relation between a job family (JF) and position. This relation is 450, and it has additional data. I have seen that some standard segments exists for additional data of some relations, they are named E1PADnnn, where nnn is the relation. As there wasn't any E1PAD450, we created Z1PAD450_01 and added it to our idoc extension. The IDOC is generated now, but it gets erroneous status. We are debugging in the receiving system, and we found out that the system tries to find function module CONVERT_E1PAD450_TO_PAD450, which does not exist (it does exist for some relations)
I would appreciate if somebody could help with this, because we didn't find any documentation regarding this problem.
Thank you in advance,
Elena.
Hi Elena,
This seems to be some configuration issue. If I am not wrong the error is happening in receiving system.
If so check the below step, it would be missing.
Link Message Type to Function Module T-Code WE57 in receiving system.
Copy the entry for function module name IDOC_INPUT_HRMD, basic IDoc type HRMD_A06(the idoc type used by you) and message type HRMD_A, and enter ZRMD_A06(the extension created by you) in the field extension type.
Hope this solves this issue.

Hi sir,
I am working on an inbound scenario for goods movements from ABC system to SAP thru WPUWBW01 IDOC
I have to do two things:
Step 1: SAP read flat file from ABC sysem & Convert data from flat file into IDOC structure according to the agreed data mapping
Step 2: Process IDOC to create goods movement.
I have very less idea on inbound scenarios. I know for outbound we used to write code in User exits.
What about inbound one? where to write code.
Please suggest.
Regards
KrishanHi!
1. By giving different parameters to the BAPIs. Check out transaction MIGO. You'll see A01 operation is for material income and R01 reference document is for purchase order. These fields can be located in the top left corner.
2. Mostly standards are giving the basic, but you always have to copy it to your needs. Then enter your function module in WE42 transaction to the given process
3. Of course you have to
4. You have to separate them with an IF statement maybe. Don't forget to set statuses for the IDoc and for correct processing, use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT statement also.
5. Pass

Data transfer b/w SAP to Java using IDOC and Interface SAP Jco
Dear Experts,
The challenging requirement we are having is, we need to create the interface for data transfer between SAP system and the Java system. The data will be transferred from SAP to java and similarly once some processing done in Java again the details needs to be transferred from Java to SAP.
For this data transferred we are planning to use IDOC process and for interface "SAP Java connector (Version 3.0.5)" we are planning to use. As per our understanding, from Java side one program needs to be written to connect with SAP as "Registered program". This registered program will appear in SAP GATEWAY automatically and using tRFC, TCP/IP connection both SAP and Java system will be connected.
In this case we are having some doubts.
1. The data from SAP is going to be transfered from one Custom transaction (Z tcode). Once "Outbound IDOC" will get triggered and will carry the details. Now the doubt is, whether the data / details will get transfered to JAVA system automatically or we need to perform any other steps from SAP ABAP coding...(like converting in to flat file, XML file and etc) ??
2. We are planning to install "SAP Jco" in Java server. Is this correct...??
3. Other than SAP Jco any other softwares needs to be installed or not..??
4. Since we are going to trigger the "outbound IDOC" from custom transaction, we are planning to develope one program in SE37. Other than this any other program we need to develop or not..??
5. Any sample Java program for the SAP Jco version 3.0.5 to create the "Registered program" with SAP..? (e.g. SAP Listener program).?
If anybody has detailed steps or explanation please share it with us.
Thanks in advance
Warm Regards,
VELHi All,
For the above mentioned issue, we implemented JCo software in JAVA system and created the JAVA program including SAP logon credential details like Client, User name, password and Language details.
When this JAVA program was compiled successfully then, that non SAP system will appear in SAP gateway Tcode.
Once non SAP system started appearing in SAP gateway that means, both SAP & Non SAP are connected automatically.

How to keep messages in sequence of different interfaces (using queues?)
Dear experts,
I'm running a scenario in which a job in one system creates and deletes orders in another system via XI (using idocs). I'm sending 100 times more creations than deletions.
These are two different interfaces. Therefore they use different queues.
My problem now is that sometimes a deletion enters the target system before the the creation of this order has taken place. Because the queue is much shorter for deletion, these are processed earlier.
How can I make sure that message from two different interfaces enter and then exit xi in the same sequence? Is it possible to assign them to the same outbound queue?
Please advice.
Thanks in advance.hai

Hi,
I am trying to create a PO, using IDocs, in the SAP system. The IDoc will come from a non-SAP system - hence, this is an inbound interface.
Can someone please tell me which Message Type / IDoc Type I should use?
As well, I need to create Characteristics for the Purchase Order. So, I need an IDoc that allows me to create these.
Two options (using existing IDocs):
1. ORDERS/ORDERS05
I have read some of the help documentation and some of the messages posted on this forum and found that the ORDERS/ORDERS05 is used for outbound PO IDocs, and inbound SO IDocs.
Can someone please confirm or correct me? So, this option is OUT.
2. PORDCR/PORDCR05
Apparently, PORDCR/PORDCR05 can be used for inbound PO. However, it does not contain segments for Characteristics. Hence, I will need to extend the IDoc. However, there aren't any useful user-exits to handle the creation of Characteristic values!
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly rewarded .
Thanks
Bobbyon your points
#1is correct.
#2 yes, if you need any other functionality you need to extend the IDOC. alternately look at BAPI_PO_CREATE* BAPIs to see if they fulfil your requirements -
Transfer data from one server to another server using idocs
hi,crm
i have a data in crm system, i want to download this data and upload into another crm system by using idocs.
please any one explain.Hi Ravi,
my senario is i have to transfer data from crm 5.0 to 7.0.
i have marketing attributes
t-code: bp----> marketing attributes
i want to transfer marketing attributes from A to B.
i created one structure for marketing attributes around 160. and i added this structure fields into custom segments.
i created custom idoc type and i added segments into idoc.
i created one function module for getting data from structure and passing to segments and idoctype.
check the code below.

How to attempt production orders and get feedback by using IDocs
Hi,
I'm new new to SAP and R3 respectively mySAP. I need to know how to use IDocs (over file system) to attempt production orders to an extern application and how to get the feedback of the whole orders and single operations.
I found the IDoc-base-type "PPCC2RECORDER01" to send production orders. Is that the right base type for production orders?
(In consideration of compatibility and support me was recommend to avoid the old types OPERA2 and CONF21.)
What IDoc-types do I need to get feedback about a production order and its operations?
I hope someone is understanding my questions is able to help me. Please apologize my broken English.
Thanks!

Wheh to use abap proxy and when to use idoc
Hi All,
Please provide some clarifications for the below points :
What is Sproxy?
2. Why we are using Sproxy instead of Idocs
3. When we are going Proxy ?
4. What are the types of proxy ?
5. How to Create to Proxy ?
6. What the Difference between SProxy and Idocs
7. What is SOAP file? When we are using SOAP file ?
Thank you.
Regards,
BharatHi Bharat,
You seem to have a range of Questions. I will try and answer as many as possible.
What is Sproxy?
SPROXY is a transaction [T-Code] on the SAP ECC/CRM etc side where you can see the objects designed in SAP PI ESR and develop its corresponding ABAP code. SPROXY T-Code displays the Service Interface. You can read more about it in the following site:
**************** - XI - ABAP Proxy communication
2. Why we are using Sproxy instead of Idocs
For Certain implementations Standard IDocs may not be available and it is quite tedious to create a Z- IDoC and therefore it is advantageous to use Proxy. You can read more about this doubt in the following links:
Choosing to use IDOC standard or ABAP Proxy?
IDOC vs Proxy
ABAP Proxy Vs IDOC
3. When we are going Proxy ?
When there are no Standard IDocs available. Please refer above links to get an answer for this.
4. What are the types of proxy ?
5. How to Create to Proxy ?
Again the following link has the answers for both these questions:
**************** - XI - ABAP Proxy communication
6. What the Difference between SProxy and Idocs
Difference is in the way the communication happens. Standard Idocs are already provided and you can use them directly while Proxy you will require to write the code on ECC side. You can refer the following link to understand more:
Advantage of ABAP proxy over BAPI
7. What is SOAP file? When we are using SOAP file ?
I have not heard of anything called SOAP file. SOAP is a protocol used for communication and you can send files as attachment in your SOAP to Any(file/idoc/Soap etc) or vice Versa Interfaces. Infact Proxy itself is SOAP based communication with XI 3.0 Protocol.
Please explore SCN to know more about the various scenarios. There are endless possibilities in SAP PI.
Hope this Helps.

Interface scenario: idocs from r/3 to XI
Business Scenario is as follows:
1. We,the client, is R/3 and would post IDOCS forward.
2. These would go to XI/PI platform, which would send it forward as idoc xml or idoc
it thru to XGS (EDI handling system, optional i.e. only in certain cases) towards B2B (intelli-agency who say they can handle idocs). XGS is connected to B2B via AS2.
3. First B2B would then remap for TMS (who have their own Transport Mgmt System) and deliver to TMS.
TMS send it to customers and receive PODs (proof of delivery) and send information or shipments back to client R/3 via the same route.
I want step wise procedure to handle the interfacing from r/3 to XI and from XI to B2B.
for e.g. for delivery (outbound), we need to use idoc TPSSHL which would be posted to XI.
please let me know how can i do this from R/3. (i need the steps).
I am completely new to interfacing and would need a step-wise approach of how to deal with this scenario
and write down the interface specifications for the technical team to work upon.
If you can help with some information, documents, real examples, etc. it would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Abstract Interface for IDoc Proxy
Hi All,
Do we need to make Abstract interfaces for IDocs and Proxys too if we want to use them in BPM?
XIerAamir,
I agree with u that we can't create proxie's for Abstract interfaces. But consider the case I want to call Proxy inside BPM, is this possible?
Yes its possible. As I mentioned in my previous replies for IDOC's .Similarly for Proxy receiver Interface determination we need to give Actual Inbound Interface name instead of Abstract. MI_Proxy_Abs --> use MI_Proxy_IB . Provided both the interfaces has the same structure.
I hope it clears!!!

How to use IDOC and RFC adapter in 1 scenario?
We have AAA field and BBB field and we want to send AAA field to receiver sap system using IDOC adapter and BBB field to receiver sap system using RFC adapter. But how to use IDOC and RFC adapter in 1 scenario and how to map and what are the design and configuration objects we require to create?
To achieve this you have to use
Two Interface Determinations
Two Communication Channels (IDOC & RFC)
& Two Receiver Aggrements.
Use the Enhanced Interface determination and give your conditions there. Based on you condition your interface mapping will be triggered and data will be sent to IDOC & RFC respectively. -
Do we need to create message interfaces for idocs and rfcs thatare imported
do we need to create message interfaces for idocs and rfcs thatare imported
from sap server
in scenarios from sap system to file or vice versa
i knew that we need not create message types
do we also skip creating message interfaceshi,
you create an abstract message interface for IDOC only if you want to use
them in a BPM (integration process)
for more about IDOCs have a look at my book:

Why we use IDOC adapter for IDOC as reciever?
hello,
Why we use IDOC adapter while using IDOC as receiver, whereas we don't use IDOC adapter while IDOC is sender?
I am clear about why we don't use adapter for sender IDOCs.
Thank you.
SarikaHi Sarika,
>>>>Why we use IDOC adapter while using IDOC as receiver,
maybe the easiest answer would be that we use
IDOC adapter as receiver to tell the XI where he should
send the data - there are many systems to which we can
connect our XI and somewhere there has to be an object
which will tell thx XI "where to" -> which RFC destination should it use
BTW
I believe IDOC apdater is also used as sender
although you don't configure it in AF:
"Once the IDoc has left the application through the RFC interface and has reached the <b>IDoc adapter</b> at the Integration Server inbound channel, the system converts it from IDoc format to IDoc XML format"

How to Use IDOC and ALE in SAP?
Hi anybody,
I want Use Idoc and ALE in sap ABAP. What is inbound and outbout process of IDOC?
Please give me sample code for Idoc . and Sample code for ALE.
anybody Please tell me.
Thanks
Regards,
S.Muthu.
IT Dept.hi,
Follow the link for step by step ALE/IDOC tutorials.
http://www.sapmaterial.com/idoc_sample.html
http://www.****************/Tutorials/ALE/ALEMainPage.htm
An IDoc is not a process.
The term IDoc stands for intermediate document. It is simply a data container used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data. An IDoc is created as a result of executing an outbound ALE or EDI process. In an inbound ALE or EDI process, an IDoc serves as input to create an application document.
IDocs are stored in the database.
In the SAP system, they are stored in database tables. Several utilities are available to display the information contained in an IDoc and present it in different ways. For details, refer to Chapter 11, "Monitoring the Interface."
Every IDoc has a unique number.
When an IDoc is generated in the system, a unique number is assigned to it. This number is unique within a client.
IDocs are independent of the sending and receiving systems. They can be used for SAP-to-SAP and SAP to non-SAP process communication as long as the participating processes can understand the syntax and semantics of the data.
IDocs are based on EDI standards, ANSI ASC X12 and EDIFACT, but are closer to the EDIFACT standards. The size and format of data elements in an IDoc type are derived from these standards wherever applicable. For example, if a material number is represented by 20 characters in an EDIFACT message, the corresponding data element in the IDoc is also 20 characters. If there is a conflict in data size between standards, the one with greater length is adopted. This approach ensures compatibility with most standards.
IDocs are independent of the direction of data exchange. An inbound and an outbound process can use an IDoc. For example, the ORDERS01 IDoc is used by the Purchasing module to send a purchase order, and is also used by the Sales and Distribution module to accept a sales order. Using this technique avoids creating redundant IDoc types for the same information.
IDocs can be viewed in a text editor and do not contain any binary data. Data is stored in character format. When transferred to the operating system, an IDoc is stored in a file in text format and can be viewed using a regular text editor. However, the contents make sense only if you understand the structure and format of the data in that IDoc. In the Appendix, "FAQs, User Exits, and Miscellaneous Resources," you will find an example of an IDoc file.
Hope this helps, Do reward.
