OMSA yum update - broken dependency

My RHEL/CentOS 6.5 boxes are failing yum updates due to a broken dependency in srvadmin-hapi, which seems to be removing libdchipm.so.7 with srvadmin-hapi 7.4.0 but not replacing it with srvadmin-hapi 8.1.0:
---> Package srvadmin-hapi.x86_64 0:7.4.0-4.28.2.el6 will be updated
--> Processing Dependency: libdchipm.so.7()(64bit) for package: libsmal0-3.1.0-4.132.1.el6.x86_64

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Any suggestions (other than updating with --skip-broken, which is never a good idea....)?

What exactly have you been typing? It looks like you tried something like yum install kernel*
There are several kernels and you do not need to install all of them. Also keep in mind that Oracle Linux ships with the RHCK and UEK kernel, using the UEK kernel as the default.
I have recently installed the vmware-tools in Oracle Linux 6.5 and did not experience any issues. If I remember correctly, all I did was the following to update to 6.6 including the latest patches and prepare the system to install the vmware tools.
yum -y update
shutdown -r now
yum install kernel-uek-devel-$(uname -r)
