How to add buttons/text to right pane when selection is made from left pane
Hi,
I am new to JAVA development with SWING.
I am trying to create an application where in the left pane there is a Tree Menu and in the right pane I have some buttons. Based on the selections in the left Pane, I should be able to add more buttons and or text to the right pane.
How do I accomplish this? If you guys have any sample code, Please post it or suggest different ways of accomplishing.

user2325986It looks like you are declaring different main_Frame, rightPane and leftPane and have too many items static and final. Take a look at the code below. I have set GridBagLayout for the frame for a better look.
I am not sure what you mean when you say that you want right panel only and want to add to it. Also, I think you would be better off using CardLayout for rightPanel as stated by jduprez

Add layers from other psd file and retain text layers (Batch processing)
I want to batch process a large number of portraits adding text info from the filename (year_name_number.jpg) to existing text layers. I want to make a template psd file containg the correct labeled text layers formatted and adjusted (With bleding effects and more) How can i add layers from an other psd file to the active document and retaining the text layers editable. The place command in PS5 adds the file as a smart object, no use.
Any ideas?
I tried the combined action/script way, but no joy so far. Right now i am making the text layers with a action, then calling the script from the action. It works but its difficult to make different templates from adjusting a action.

OK I understand what your trying to do and now I do not agree with your conclusion you made in you first append about place being no good for you. Its is I think a perfect solution for you. I feel you need to address the process from a new angle.
I am very familiar with templates I use them all the time for collages which I populate with an actions. However I do not batch this process and my process is interactive. If you look at what your trying to do from the angle of creating a collage. You will see what you are trying to do is automate the population of a single image collage using a single template in a batch process. An example of one of my single image collage populated by one of my actions that has been saved as a jpeg image file. My actions are played in Photoshop with no document opened. After my action is play there is a single collage document in Photoshop that contains layers that can be tweaked all text is in text layers the can be edited.
If I wanted to automate the batch population of a single collage template I think all I would need to know is three thing.
1.) The location of the input images
2.) The full Path of the PSD template file.
3.) The location to store the output file
Looking at some of the recent threads in this forum I could almost cut and past the script you want to put together. There was a recent thread that had javascript code to process files in a folder and process only a list of file types. There also was a thread that had a place function in it to place images into the current document or create a new document to place the image into. The image was read from the web using a URL. This thread has code to change a text layer. At first I though you may need to open these image file to get at its meta-data to get the Portrait image Exif creation data. But see all you need is the Filename for it has the data you want the year and name. So the function that get the image files from the folder will give you that. The Script needs to Open the Template PSD file and retrieve the prototype text layers text content then the scrip needs a loop that get the next image file to be processed from the folder get filename function. In the loop the image files are place into the open template above a place holder layer like the Background layer. Then using the prototype text contents and the filename are used create the new content for the text layer and then change the text layers content to it. Follow that up with a save as for the output file. Once the output file is saved delete the placed smart object layer. When this loop ends the script will close the document with no save and end. As for the three inputs you need the script could either have a dialog like the images processor or simply prompt you for the folders and template file. -

No, is not possible.
You have to incorporate all sections that you need in only one form.
After that you can use a button to hide or show the correct sections.
To save time you can use the fragments.

what should i do?Your null pointer exception is occuring because, in your Butt() constructor, you are calling mywindow.add(b1), but you don't set mywindow until after you call the constructor in the MyWindow::Buttons() method.
And, if you try to create a new MyWindow() in your Butt() constructor, and, assuming that you are calling the MyWindow::Window(String s) method from the MyWindow() constructor (which is not clear from the code fragment you posted), then Butt() calls new MyWindow() which calls Window(String s) which calls Butt() which calls ... and so on, until the stack overflows.
One possible solution ... pass your MyWindow reference into your Butt() constructor as this, as so:

Add button to a maintenance view
I am working with maintenance views and user-defined events in maintenance views at the moment.
Now I'd like to add a button to the maintenance view that will show a popup with recent changes to the selected line of the database table.
Is that possible with user-defined events or should I modify the generated dynpros manually. But then, will the modifications be deleted if I will have to regenerate the maintenance view in the future (e.g. when I might add a field to the database table)?If you are talking SE54 and Maintenance Views, when I do an SM30 on the Maintenance View and do SYSTEM->STATUS, I see GUI STATUS ZULG on program SAPLSVIM. If you look at that status, I see two buttons with dynamic text. The first one is call GPRF and has dynamic text VIM_PR_STAT_TXT_CH. You can find a suitable PBO event to set the text of that function code and if that works, find a suitable PAI event to respond to that function.
I recall finding some documentation on customizing the GUI STATUS but no luck today trying to find it.

This is possible through Menu exit.
Procedure for Menuexit:-
Go to SM30 ->System -> Status
Repository data -> Transaction -> Double click on it
Copy package name
Go to SMOD
Press F4 then a popup will open
Click on information system
Enter package name and press Enter
Then we will get Exit
Put cursor on that exit and press Enter
Go to change mode and save it.
Go to CMOD or alternatively we can use the path tools -> ABAP/4 Workbench -> Utilities -> Enhancements ->Project Management
Specify Project name in the enhancement text box
Click on Create icon on the application toolbar.
Enter description for the project and save it
Click on Enhancement Assignment button on the application toolbar
Give Exit and save it
Go to Components on the application toolbar
Double Click on MENUS001
Write function text which we want to add to menu item and save it with an request number

How can I add buttons that do different things to each row of an rpt result
Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out how to add buttons to each row of a report. Here is the scenario:
report query returns a set of data that needs to be "approved". The options are "Append", "Replace", or "Reject" (I want to make the results look like so:)
Person1 today blah, blah blah... Append button Replace button Reject button
Person2 today blah, blah, blah... Append button Replace button Reject button
PersonA today something, blah... Append button Replace button Reject button
and so on.
I'd like to set up the page so that there is an append, replace, reject button for each row returned by the report. So when the "Approver" clicks on the append button, something happens for that row, etc. How does one do this? So far I can only get the buttons to show up in the region. I also thought it might be possible to somehow turn the append, replace, reject text into links that called a plsql proceedure that would handle the action, but I'm not having any success with that idea either.

That gives me the words (append, replace, reject) in the report. Then I go to the report attributes section and make a link out of the columns (append, replace, reject) so far, so good.
Next question is how to make clicking on those links activate an update action on tableN. In the column_link section there is a box marked "Request" that looks like it might be relevant because Request is a term connected to buttons, but I've no idea how to use it. Or, can one use the tabluar form element section of the report attributes page to connect the Append (pseudo column) to an action? I've looked at your example (Sam) with the delete button, but what I really need to see is the Apex menu that sets it up because there are so many levels in the interface it is not intuitive (at least for me). I know exactly what I want it to look like but I'm missing the crucial step to get there... Thanks for your help so far.

"Blank page" text on automatically created empty pages
I want "blank page" text to appear automatically on any page that FrameMaker_8 adds to create an even pagecount. Is this possible?

Nope, unless you want to have the default MP "Left" laid out as a TPILB (This Page Intentionally Left Blank). That also requires creating a new "Left.Content" MP, and making sure that a critical mass of commonly used Paragraph Formats are mapped to it or "Right".
What FM needs, and doesn't have, is a notation for the MasterPageMappingTable that controls what happens when there is no Flow A or other user generated content for a page.
Back in the real world, always first work Plan 0, which is to talk management or the customer out of requiring TPILBs in the first place.
TPILBs: I know how to do 'em. Glad we don't need 'em here. -
How to Add/Concatenate to a text field, values selected in a combo box
I have a combo box form field that allows the user to select a value from a list and click on an Add button. The Add button should add/concatenate the vaue selected to a text field in order to create a list of values selected. I'm not sure how to do this using Javascript in Acrobat? I know I need to add the javascript to the Add button's Mouse Up action. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Let's say the text field's name is "Text1", and the combo is called "Combo1". You can then use this code as the MouseUp script of the Add button:
