i m using mscomm32 ocx for this purpose.
clarify the role of on-dispatch-event trigger and specify all events
regarding mscomm and also explain how to trap events for accomplish

Automatically trigger the event to load data from Planning cube to Standard Cube

Hello,
We have a below set up in our system..
1. A Planning BEx query using which user makes certain entries and writes back data to the planning cube.
2. An actual reporting cube which gets data from the planning cube above.
Now, what we want to do is to automate the data load from Planning cube to Reporting cube.
This involves 2 things..
1. Change the setting " Change real time load behaviour " of the planing cube to Planning.
2. Trigger the DTP which loads data from Planning cube to reporting cube.
We want to automate the above two steps...
I have tried few things to achieve the same..
1. Created an event in SM64,
2. In the Planning cube "Manage" Screen, clicked on "Subsequent Processing" and provided the event details. ( Not sure if its the correct place to provide the event detail ).
3. Wrote a ABAP program which changes the setting of the planning cube ( " Change real time load behaviour " to Loading )
4. Created a process chain, where we have used the event as a start variant, used the ABAP program as a next step, DTP run as the last step..
This i hoped, would trigger the event as soon as a new request comes and sits in planning cube, which in turn would trigger the process chain which would load the data from Planning cube to reporting cube..
This is not working. I dont think the event is triggering, and even if does i am not sure whether it will start the process chain automatically. Any ideas please ?

Client JRE : 1.6.0_45-b06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
Run webutil_demo form, http://host:9001/forms/frmservlet?form=webutil_demo.fmx&config=webutil
it appears following error.
FRM-40735: WHEN-CUSTOM-ITEM-EVENT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.
No error logged in java console client side.
I've try to re-compile webutil_demo.fmb
Unattaching and then re-attaching the plsql library webutil.pll to forms using a 11g Forms Builder (instead of earlier version) and then loading the form to the server and compiling form but error still exist.
Will you please help to give any suggestion?
Is there any trace can be enabled to find some more details?

Explanation & Example
1. 사용자 정보를 저장할 event table을 생성한다.

[Embed(source="...   And dispatching events and trace commands not working

Hi,
I have a main swf that Embeds another swf. In the embedded (child) swf I have trace commands and it dispatches events.
I embed the child swf like this:

When I test the main swf, I can see the child swf, but the main swf can't catch any of the dispatched events and I don't get any trace commands from the child swf.
How can I catch events from an embedded swf?

I did a quick sample with two fla's.
The first loads in a child swf and then calls a funtion on the main timeline:

The child swf has this code on the main timeline:

          trace ("called from parent whoop");
Running the parent, the trace is called.
So with this you should be able to call any function you have in the child from the parent.

Dispatching events between different classes

Im trying to dispatch and event from an XML class.
dispatchEvent(new Event (XMLClass.INDEX_CHANGED));
and catch it in the display class

I know that im missing something because the application works

The types of events that trigger alerts are:
Diagnostic messages are triggered when a hardware or software failure is detected
Environmental messages are triggered when temperature, power, and other types of system related thresholds are exceeded
Syslog messages are triggered when the event secerity is major or greater
Inventory messages are triggered when inventory changes occur, such as an online insertion and removal (OIR) of a module

Sales order creation, standard event trigger is taking long time .

We have a requirement where we are sending data to CRM system using RFC function module. This data is sent while sales order creation or change. We have used standard event BUS2032.CREATED to trigger CRM FM in sales order creation mode. In sales order change mode, we are using custom event. In production system, our custom change event is getting triggered fine and data is sent to CRM system with small time lag of around 1 minute. But, while sales order creation, standard event trigger is taking long time ( sometimes about 20 minutes) in production system.
We tried triggering same custom event at the time of sales order creation using FM u2018SWE_EVENT_CREATE_IN_UPD_TASKu2019 as well but, still we are not able to improve performance of the event trigger at sales order creation.

we have written SWE_EVENT_CREATE in update task
I think instead of calling in update task simply call to function module CALL FUNCTION "SWE_EVENT_CREATE" might trigger the event immediately.. Did you try to check in this way..
OR
And I also suggest you to check the entry in SWE2 txn with respect to your workflow tempalte, may be you have enable the option ENABLE EVENT QUEUE, this could be one of the reasons.. If it is enabled please disable it (uncheck)

BIP has provided a webservice,
One of the function is to run or schedule a report.
Write a simple Java program, which will look at the server and point to run the report you wanted.

Loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error

While loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error and i am unable to proceed further.
Source is a flatfile and target is a Oracle database,i used "LKM file to oracle(SQLLDR)" and "IKM sql control append"
and ran the interface.When i checked the seesion in operator window" after generating "CTL file" successfully
the session got failed at "Call sqlldr" and was not able to proceed further.
Environment details:
ODI 11g
database:Oracle 11g
Operating system:Windows server 2008

How to create schedule job and event trigger in XI to start a ABAP program?

Dear All:
Here are what i need to do:
1.To run a ABAP program to start an XI scenario per hour.
2.To run a ABAP program to start an XI scenario per day at 6 PM.
3.To run a ABAP program used event trigger to make sure that XI scenario has finished the process and after that wait for 10 min later and run again.
only i know is used sm36 & sm37 to set up a schedule job.
but what i don't know is how to do it step by step.
especially point 3.
are there any step by step example can show me how?
it better be simple and details...

Hi,
If you want to trigger the event manually from within SAP, use transaction
SM64
in SAP this is done by scheduling a job
once a new customer is entered
your scheduled report sends customer master data
you can schedule your report (TCODE - BD12 I think) to one day or every 5 minutes... it depend on your needs and the system performence

Event trigger in sap pi 7.3.1

1. Requirement : All failed messages needs to post to JMS adapter using Event trigger , when message failed in SAP PI.
2.Audit log : In SAP 7.3.1 I need to post message audit log to JMS adapter using Event trigger (Start time / End time ) without using BPMs.
Please suggest on this.

For the alerting , either you can use above suggested approach or have a look at the below blog

May be you can merge both of them, after reading the alerts(2) make another soap call to get the audit log entries(1) and send it to JMS adapter..
Of course it's not an event based instead it works based on polling Interval that you configure in the channel..

Onload event after all images are loaded in an updateContent area

Hi Spry Folks!
I load a template into a page with a lot of img tags inside
it. Everything works fine.
Spry.Utils.updateContent (...HTML wit lots of img tags...)
But the loading takes a while so I would like to hide it
until all the images are loaded. Now I need an event which fires
after the loading bar in the browser is gone.
The onPostLoad observer fires much to early, cause the code
is long loaded bevore all the images
(...addObserver({onPostLoad:...)
Same with the window.onload event (...window.onload =
showContent();...) fires much to early.
The only thing which is working is placeing the function in
the onload event of the body tag.
Like:
<body onload="showContent();">
But there I can't use it. And there is now body.onload
handler as far as I know there is only the windows.onload handler
and I thought always this is the same event than onload in the body
tag.
Has anyone an idea? Is there a spry event I haven't found for
exact this problem?

Hello,
U might want to look in to the SpryImageLoader.js that comes
with the 1.6.1 download. It loads your images, and allows u put
callbacks on them, and set priority of loading them.

uses it to (expect don forgot to upload the
SpryImageLoader.js thats why its not really working :P )
But that will give the basic idea of how to use it.

'Inserting' text into a Text Field on event trigger in a static form

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I've been struggling with it for a bit and I'm new to Adobe/JavaScript.
I am building a static form (it must be static), and I want to have text appear/disapear based on an event trigger (mouseclick). I tried creating a floating text object inside of a static text object, but I'm not sure how I can make the string value for this change based on the event trigger. The only advice in the Adobe help was purely regarding FormCalc, which I can't use as this must be a static form. I tried using this code in the <script>, but it obviously didn't work as it was written from FormCalc code versus JaveScript;
TextField.rawvalue = variable.value;
What do you suggest in terms of being able to script this, so my static form will work? Thanks a billion if you can help!
PS: I'm using Adobe 9, LiveCycle ES 8.2
PPS: Also tried inserting the following into my trigger script;

If the button and the textfield are on in the same subform then this code should work in the click event of the button
(This is JavaScript code so make sure the code is set to JavaScript and Client on the drop downs in the script window)
(assuming the name of the textfield is TextField1)
TextField1.rawValue = "some value";
If they are in different subforms then you have 2 options
Please note in both these options it is easier if the subforms have names ( I am assuming this to keep samples simple)
option 1 -
use the parent object to move up the tree till you are at the same level as that of the subform that contains the textfield
e.g.
(Click Event of the button)
this.parent.subformname.TextField1.rawValue = "some value";
option 2 -
Use the resolve node to make your way down from the top level of the form
xfa.resolveNode ("form1.subformname.TextField1").rawValue = "some value";
