That's exactly what it does, refresh your contacts. As an example if you add a contact on your Mac or iPad and you use iCloud to sync them altogether, then this can be used to refresh the contacts on your iPhone.

i think this problem startedafter some online installations . there is a black window appearing everytime i open it. I tried reinstalling firefox but i dint want to lose any of ma plugins so during reinstallation i kept ma plugins. And the problem still exists.

Just about to get a iphone 5 from virgin mobile, the "virgin" in the top left corner is throwing me off, if i unlock it will it go away?

That will go away if you use your iPhone with another carrier's network, but in that case, you will see the name of that carrier at the top left corner. That means that the Virgin text at the top left corner has nothing to do with having the device locked, but it shows because you are using a Virgin SIM card -
I have changed my account to SIM only and when I put my new SIM Card into my iPhone 4 it just says 'no service' in the top left corner, also iMessage has stopped working too. I can only use my phone on my WiFi at the moment, does anyone have any idea?

My iPhone 5 have the glass popping sound when I press on the top left corner of my phone but I don't know why, I don't see any visibility of the glass coming out. My friends all told me to not exchange because after all the software is perfectly fine.
My phone just turned 2 months old. But in Singapore as long your phone is under one year warranty I can still go for an exchange at the respective telco, but my friends all suggest me to not change now cause after changing it'll be a refurbished set instead of a brand new one.

Legality aside (I'm not a lawyer and have no opinion on the matter) in order to make a purchase of an iPhone 5 you would need to travel to a country where they are for sale and purchase it there. Be sure to get one that is officially unlocked or you would not be able to use it with your cell carrier. Be sure that your carrier supports use of the iPhone before you buy. Also note that the warranty of the iPhone is only valid in the country of purchase.
Appe does not ship outside of the countries where it sells the phones. -

I just want to know what Apple computer to get to play Civilization V down loaded from the App store.
The game Civ5 processes a turn in single core mode. It says “please wait” while it processes a turn. If the intel i7 CPU is “fourth generation” it is twice as fast for civ5 turn processing. It does not matter if you have more memory or a better graphics chip. So, I can get a smaller cheeper Apple computer as long as it is fourth generation. I tested three new iMacs, two new MacPros and two mac minis.

I have looked at that darned “please wait” message for years. Now it can be 60 seconds on a new MacPro6,1 or late 2012 Mac mini and 30 seconds on a new iMac. Even the 21.5 iMac 3.1 GHz has 3.9 GHz turbo boost for single core and it is supposed to be fourth generation.
Some of that does not seem to true for the new 21.5 inch iMac I just tested (Fusion drive). Mac Mini 54 seconds 21.5 iMac 49 seconds.

Like I said, I thought I had done some damage -- even though the drop was just a couple of inches that was my very first thought, but when it came and went with which app I was in (or not) I knew it wasn't a damaged SCREEN. So I wondered if it was a different damaged part, memory or some such.
When I saw that others had the exact same shape, I could only imagine that perhaps the phone was indicating it was running a diagnostic, had been forcefully dropped, had a faulty/damaged accelerometer or some other purposeful object. It clearly wasn't random, it was a definite shape.
Hey Paul! I'm hoping they've seen the issue and tried replacing a few parts or something... Ya never know. As a (mostly) retired guy I have the time!
I also mentioned in a kind of oblique way that I had enabled the Kanji keyboard. I should also mention that I have the field strength test enabled so that I am able to see the -db numbers instead of the antenna bars. That's right in the same area, so it could be related.... maybe... or not. The screen was unlocked when this happened and I'm guessing I pushed a whole lotta buttons and/or icons as I was grabbing at it... I wonder if it is possibly an easter egg of some sort -- just the right combo of touches. Then again, it bounced right on THAT corner... LOL
That's the only stuff I've ever done to the phone. It's never been jailbroken or anything like that. It has taken a few falls in its lifetime but none resulting in any obvious damage.
It's a 32GB iPhone 3Gs and it is now 2 years old (bought June 27, 2009.) I'm just happy that it seems to be OK. While Apple's stock may be the largest market cap in the US, my portfolio sure isn't. -
I was just installing windows 7 onto my MacBook Pro. I selected to have 200GB for Windows and the rest leave for Mac.
I clicked install and the bar filled up as it should do. However, once the install had completed, my MacBook turned itself off. I assumed this was normal. Now, my MacBook has a black screen with a white flashing underscore in the top left corner.
What is wrong and what should I do?Hold down the Option key when starting up then on the sceen that comes up select Mac OS X to boot from.
The Win 7 install didn't go well and is hung in some way. You should use boot camp assistant to remove the win partition and start over.
Make sure you are using a Retail version of Win 7. A Branded OEM version, like ones from Dell and HP, will NOT work to install Windows 7 on your Mac. -
Yesterday morning, my phone decided to kick me of my network and not let me back in. In the top left corner, it just says 'Searching...'. I have tried restarting my phone, resetting all settings and resetting network settings and nothing has decided to work for me. I then went to reset my phone but it will not let me log out of 'Find my Phone'. Therefore it did not allow me to reset my phone.
Please can somebody help.

I've edited my NEF photos in lightroom and have tried to export to a formatted CD. When I try, I have several issues. I either see in the top left corner that the files are ready to go to CD but there is no further instruction or I get the pop up message that the files are offline or missing??
Just for background, in what format are you exporting your images? Also, are you able to export them to your hard drive in your chosen format? I haven't tried exporting directly to CD, but if you're able to export to hard drive and copy to CD, that may be one solution.

My netflix app dosent have an X in the top left corner to close it what do i do?
Im trying to watch netflix on my iphone 5s and its not letting me open it! It dosent open and then crash, it straight up wont open. I tried to delete it and uninstall it but theres no X in the top left corner of the app and i went to the app store to try to open it from there and it wont work there either! I called netflix and they dont know what to do :(

It's not a link, its an icon that indicates the photo cannot be found in the location where PSE expects it. This happens because you either renamed, moved or deleted the photos outside of PSE. To fix the problem, use File->Reconnect (you will have to find the actual file in one of your folders), and in the future, no more moving, renaming or deleting photos outside of PSE; if you MUST rename or move photos, do so from within PSE.

When i move my cursor to the top left corner of the screen, I am automatically logged off. Is it a software problem or is it a feature I can turn off?
I don't think there is an option for logging off in the Hot Corners, but check Mission Control System Prefs, Hot Corners button. What is set in the top, left.
