One EJB object accessed by two clients.

One client access a EJB object another client access the same EJB
object, when the first client releases the ejb object, then second
client loses data or gets null.
Any body knows what is happening?
Thanks

hey,
is this with StatefulSession Bean. I too am experiencing the same problem. When two users are trying to access the same bean the same time, one is returing null. This being a UserSession Bean, one user is getting the session object as null..
Can anyone answer this problem....
cheers,

  • Changing a method in an EJB object without recompiling EJB-Clients

    Hi!
    I have 4 Web (JSP) applications using the same EJBs., deployed to a BEA Weblogic application server.I want to know if there is a way to change the code in a method in one of my EJB objects (no interface change) without recompiling and redeploying my EJB-clients and Web apps.
    Regards,
    Per - Chr.

    Hello,
    I have 4 Web (JSP) applications using the same EJBs.,
    deployed to a BEA Weblogic application server.I want
    to know if there is a way to change the code in a
    method in one of my EJB objects (no interface change)
    without recompiling and redeploying my EJB-clients and
    Web apps.You can change the EJB's without recompiling the clients as long as the interfaces and the classes used by both the EJB's and clients are not changed.
    For example, if you don't change the interfaces but change the exception implementation thrown by a method of the bean, then you have to recompile the clients with the new version of the exception class.

  • Finding an EJB object. Web clients vs. Java clients

    From what I've read this is the process for a web client to find an EJB object: the client uses JDNI to find a reference to the EJBHome interface and then it uses the create method from this interface which makes the container to begin to work, creating an instance of the implementation class and an instance of the EJBObject interface, and returning a reference to the EJBObject, which will be used by the client to call the methods.
    Are there any differences if the client is a java application and not a web client?

    The Java Client talk to the server with random ports
    not 80. Gives me a headache. _*why?
    There's no need to get headaches about it, in fact no need to worry about it at all.
    Just have the JNDI services available so you can do the lookup (which might require opening a port (or more than one) on the firewall, but that's it.
    And that's no different between a standalone client and a web application client. Both need to do that JNDI lookup.

  • Uix two view-objects on one entity-object synchronize

    Hi All
    I want to add some uix pages to an old project using ADF UIX and Business Components.
    I have an entity object to a table witch about 50 fields.
    Now I create two view objects due to a better performance. One witch seven attributes for the overwiew and one with all attributes for the detail page.
    They are related via a view link.
    I create the overview as a read-only-table and the detail-page as an input-form.
    The proplem is that the synchronization don't work. The detail page shows the first dataset ever.
    Has anyone a solution or a tip where I can found that?
    Is where a performance problem if I use one view-object for both pages?
    Thanks in advance
    Roger

    Use custom DataAction for the first page:
    package controller;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataAction;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionContext;
    public class Class1 extends DataAction
      protected void validateModelUpdates(DataActionContext actionContext)
         //super.validateModelUpdates(actionContext);
          // put you custom validation here
    }http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/ADFBindingPrimer/index.html#usingdataaction

  • HT1364 I used these instructions to move my i-tunes library to the external hard drive that two different home pc's access. My playlists do not show on both Is it possible to have one i-pod synch amid two different computers that use the same library?

    I have a sole i-pod and two pc's, used the instructions for "iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder" in the hope that I could synch my one i-pod between two different computers that are sharing the same library. Is it possible to have two seperate computers that only share an external hard drive (one wireless, one not) ? When I am looking at a shared library should it appear the same on both machines (ie: playlists/ purchased list etc)?

    If it is moved correctly, playlists will display on both computers and it should be possible.
    Close iTunes.
    Hold <SHIFT> and launch iTunes.
    When prompted to create a new or open an existing iTunes library point iTunes to the iTunesLibrary.itl file on the external drive.
    The entire library should now show up with all playlists and playcounts.
    Do this on both computers.
    Keep in mind that only one computer can access iTunes at a time, otherwise errors will occur when each computer attempts to write to or update the iTunesLibrary.itl file.
    Syncing may work seemlessly with both computers, but honestly syncing is designed to work with one and only one computer.

  • Two portals (same SID), one R/3 System - changing portal client number?

    We have one R/3 system but two portals.  One is EP6, the other is EP7 and is due to replace EP6.  On installation of version 7.0 we had to keep the SID the same on both portals.
    Now we are having trouble with SSO into R/3 as the ACL in STRUSTSSO2 will only accept one unique SID with client number of 000.  However it does seem to accept the same SID but different client number.
    My question is, is there a way to change one portal generating the verify.der certificate using something other than default 000 client number?
    Is this messy?
    thanks.
    SiB

    Hi Simon,
    > is there a way to change one portal generating the verify.der certificate using
    > something other than default 000 client number
    > Is this messy?
    There is a way and it is absolutely not messy but the supported way; you just have to set the UME property "login.ticket_client" to some different value than "000" on the portal server in question (and of course you have to use this value on the ACL in the SSO target system).
    Also see https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/ep/singleSign-Onand+Cookies& -- checklist number 3 and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e2/f71940d4558f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    I have just done this on my actual project, it's quite straight forward. Remember to restart the portal WAS after changing the value!
    Hope it helps

  • To Join two SAP fields into one info object

    Hi All,
    Can you please suggest the best method to concatenate values from two R/3 fields into one info object master data table?
    The requirement is to create a Sales report where I need to report on sales against  sales type.
    Sales type is a list of joint values of item category ( 0ITEM_CATEG) and bill type (0BILL_TYPE).
    So, I need a list of all item categories and billing types in a single object and report sales value against it.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Sharmishtha

    Hi Venkat,
    In DSO any case you will not be having more than 16 Keys. I am surprised seeing requirement of more than 16 keys, but anyways you need to go with some workaround.
    You can concatenate multiple Fields and map to one Dummy InfoObject which will be Key in DSO so in actual you have more than 16 Keys but have 16 Keys in system.
    But analyze requirement in detail because this will increase data redundancy and time for load will get increased.
    Also for new issues start new discussion otherwise people will not able to help you in this forum.

    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to copy one list items new list using client side object model.
    You can use console application.

  • Simultaneous access from two virtual mashines on one framegrabber

    Hello,
    is it possiblie to get access from two virtual mashines on one framegrabber. I want only get the information from Cam-A  and transfer it to virtual mashine A. For Cam B and virtual mashine B is it similar.
    My problem is that I have to measurements but they have to run at they same time and I want to use the Vision Builder AI for this. If it's right that that  the Vision Builder is able to do only one measurement at the same time.
    Another solution could be, to export the vbai to .vi's and import it to LabVIEW, coundn't be?
    best regards
    phil

    As far as I know, virtual machines cannot access plugin frame grabbers. Are you using GigE cameras (which should work in VMs since they can use GigE ports of PC), or CameraLink cameras (which shouldn't work in VMs since they require plugin frame grabbers)? As far as processing images from two different cameras at the same time in VBAI, You can process images that were acquired at the same time in VBAI, but the processing steps don't execute simultaneously. Do you just need the acquisition to be in parallel or the processing as well. Why does the processing need to happen in parallel (is it for timing/perfromance)? If the inspection is running on windows, you can have two instances of VBAI running at the same time and each instance can process a different camera, but it may be more challenging to coordinate the results of the two different inspections if they need to be combined at some point. If you are acquiring on Windows, you could also use the API in LabVIEW to control the two inspections that are happening in parallel and coordinate the results. See the example of how to use the API here:
    \<NI Install directory>\Vision Builder AI 2014\API Examples\LabVIEW Examples
    Hope that helps,

  • [WSAD5.0] Access one EJB of an EAR into another EAR.webapp

    Hi,
    I've got 2 ear application : toto.ear and titi.ear
    toto.ear carry
    * one ejb.jar file with CMSession.java EJB
    titi.ear carry
    * one ejb.jar file with some other EJB
    * one web.war file with servlets & JSP
    The fact is I'd like to call 'toto.ear/CMSession.java' EJB from a servlet in 'titi.ear/web.war'. So I need to reference this CMSSession EJB in the 'titi.ear/web.war/web.xml', isn't it ?
    However, when I go to the web deployment descriptor page of 'titi.ear/web.war' the I click on 'reference' tab, then 'Add' button I can only see the EJB from 'titi.ear'.
    My question is how can I directly reference the 'toto.ear/CMSession.java' EJB from a Servlet located in 'titi.ear' ?
    Regards,
    Denis Boutin.

    Can you do that across applications. Dont you have to do a lookup and invoke the EJB.

  • EJB JNDI access from app1 to app2 in same oc4j (standalone) 9.0.4

    I have two applications CatalogosWeb and WSCatalogosWeb both in the same instance of a 9.0.4 standalone OC4J. The first one implements a set of EJB's (both entity and session). In the second i have the EJB classes included int the "classes" directory.
    When I try to acces de EJB from the second application I get a ClassCastException.
    The source code is approximately:
    ic = new InitialContext(env);
    where env is>
    {java.naming.provider.url=ormi://localhost:23791/CatalogosWeb, java.naming.factory.initial=com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory, java.naming.security.principal=admin, java.naming.security.credentials=welcome}
    later I try to access the EJB>
    Object objref = ic.lookup(jndiHomeName);
    Object obj = PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref, className);
    When the PortableRemoteObject tries to "narrow" the class I get the ClassCastException.

    user496903 ,
    When you need to perform lookups within the same OC4J container, you don't use RMIInitialContextFactory. Instead, you should use the new InitialContext() constructor, that defaults the initial context factory property to (if my memory doesn't fail) ApplicationInitialContextFactory...
    Look for more info in the Oracle App Server EJB developer Guide,
    hope it helps

    Home handle is an object that identifies an enterprise bean. A client may serialize the handle, and then later deserialize it to obtain a reference to the enterprise bean.
    The javax.ejb.HomeHandle is similar to javax.ejb.Handle. Just as the Handle is used to store and retrieve reference to EJB objects, the HomeHandle is used to store and retrieve remote references to EJB homes. HomeHandle can be stored and later used to access an EJB home remote refrence the same way that a Handle can be serialized and later used to access an EJB object's remoe reference.

  • Transparent Tunneling and Local Lan Access via VPN Client

    Remote users using Cisco VPN 4.2 connect successfully to a Cisco Pix 515 (ver. 6.3). The client is configured to allow Transparent Tunneling and Local Lan access, but once connected to the Pix, these two options are disabled. What configuration changes are required on the Pix to enable these options? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Mike Bowyer

    Hi Mike,
    "Transparent Tunneling" and "Local Lan Access" are two different things. "Transparent Tunneling" is dealing with establishing an IPSec Tunnel even if a NAT device is between your client and the VPN-Headend-Device. "Local LAN Access" is dealing with access to devices in the LAN your VPN-Client-Device is connected to.
    What do you mean exactly with "disabled once the connection is made" ?
    You can check the local LAN Access by having a look at the Route-Table of the VPN-Client:
    Right Click the yellow VPN-lock Icon in System-Tray while the VPN-Connection is active and select "Statistics ...". Have a look at the second register page "route details".
    Are any local LAN routes displayed when your are connected ?
    And - always remember two important restrictions the Online Help of the VPN-Client is mentioning:
    1: This feature works only on one NIC card, the same NIC card as the tunnel.
    2: While connected, you cannot print or browse the local LAN by name; when disconnected, you can print and browse by name.
    Carsten
    PS: Removing Split Tunnel won't enable local LAN access as all traffic would be sent into the IPSec tunnel.
