Online Milestone status

Hi SD Gurus
Anybody pls help me ,
"Online Milestone status".-- Fixing Core Phase.
Pls send me Business process for this Pain Area.
Very Urgent.
Thanking you
with regards
pawan

A very easy way to overcome this is to set the "MANPATH" environment variable manually. The easiest way to do this is in /etc/profile.
Then you can include more files than your regular /usr/share/man. I usually add /usr/sfw/share/man, /opt/sfw/man and always /usr/java/man to it. For example like this:
# The profile that all logins get before using their own .profile.
trap "" 2 3
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin
MANPATH=/usr/share/man:/usr/sfw/share/man:/opt/sfw/man:/usr/java/man:/usr/perl5/
man:/usr/openwin/share/man:/usr/local/share/man
EDITOR=/usr/bin/vi
export LOGNAME PATH MANPATH EDITOR
(so basicly I edited the profile file and added those parts to it). Hope this is usefull for you.
Free bonus tip ;-)
If you logon using the logon manager from time to time (xdm / gdm) then beware that it will change your PATH lines internally. The easiest way to overcome this is creating the directory /etc/dt/config/Xsession.d and add a "profile like" file to it. Theoreticly you could even symlink the /etc/profile file but beware; your X environment needs a few paths to be present in the PATH at all time. The minimum being /usr/openwin/bin:/usr/dt/bin/.
Totally unrelated (or perhaps very vague) to your problem but since I'm currently looking at it myself I couldn't help wonder if you could use this as well ;-)

  • Script for getting the online/offline status

    Hi all,
    After enabling checkbox of "Enable assistive access device" is possible to get the online/ offline status.From Menu we will get the status.Without doing this i want to get the apple mail account online/offline status.hope some help scripts for this.

    [That script|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11012484#11012484] could change the Online Status of all mail accounts. The following one will just report their Online Status. Is this what you are (were) asking for?
    --BEGINNING OF SCRIPT
    tell application "Mail" to activate
    tell application "System Events" to tell process "Mail"
    set theMenu to menu "Mailbox" of menu bar 1
    if enabled of menu item "Take All Accounts Online" of theMenu then
    return "All accounts are currently offline"
    else
    return "All accounts are currently online"
    end if
    end tell

  • Mailbox online/offline status

    All of a sudden my mailbox status changes from online to offline status spontaneously, i.e. I do not want the change and have not made it manually. I change it back to online, then all of a sudden it goes back to offline status.
    What can be causing this? Having to correct the status time after time is aggravating.

    In doing some research, I am surprised at how many people in Panther AND BEYOND are having this problem: which is that a use of Mail causes one's mailboxes to be kicked offline. Seems no one has a real answer to the problem. Some have suggested there is a bug in the Mail application, but that hardly seems likely, as I have never had this happen in a period of 7 years until recent months. Sometimes the problems spontaneouly disappears, but then crops up again in a few weeks. Exasperating

  • Online offline status faded

    Hi there, i am offline from skype, but when i click on the x, all the offline and online status is faded.

    I have this problem also.
    When I try the /showplaces command, I get the following line:
    You have 1 online endpoints:
    (here comes the details of my computer) Windows Skype
    This is my computer.
    There is no other live connection.
    I tried the /remotelogout chat command but there's no other connection to close.
    My partners see I am always online. The Online/Away/Do not disturb status are working but when I switched to Invisible or Offline status, the last used status is visible (online, away or do not disturb). When I select offline, the situation is the same: the last used status is visible to all of my partners. It is very annoying, they are calling me and asking why I didn't answer to their messages...
    Have you got a _working_ solution to this problem?

  • Online-Offile Status

    I met someone online. He is from Australia. After few chats using Skype, we decided not to communicate anymore for some personal reasons. I just noticed that after we ended our chat, everytime I will change my status to invisible, a i will then receive a notification that this person is online, then few seconds after, a notification that he went offline. If I change again my status to online, same online-offline notification will again appear. This is conssistetly happening to me. Weird part of it is... it only happens to this particular user. I never experienced this from my other contacts. Is there a possibility that the person I am talking to is a hacker?

    Hi everybody and Supraja.
    I am having the same issue. Anyone how can I solved it?
    Thanks
    Ivo

  • Online or Offline status

    I love the way the Adobe Forum is structured where you can
    see if a user is online or offline. I wish to produce the same
    method. I have a list of users in my admin page where I see the...
    Username | First Name | Last Name | E-mail
    I wish to make a fifth column called status that would have
    online or offline such as...
    Username | First Name | Last Name | E-mail | Status |
    MySQL statement looks as such...
    CREATE TABLE `adminusers` (
    `userID` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
    `userName` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
    `userPassword` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
    `emailAddress` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
    `firstName` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
    `lastName` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
    `date` timestamp NOT NULL default CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,
    `userTypeID` int(11) NOT NULL default '3',
    PRIMARY KEY (`userID`)
    ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ;
    I believe that the online/offiline status is a boolean
    statement but I am not sure and do not know how to incorporate it.
    Can someone help me what I must do. Thank you all for your
    help.

    There is no way that you can tell whether someone is online.
    The web is
    stateless. All that Adobe is doing is taking an arbitrary
    time since
    that individual either logged in or last clicked a link. It's
    done by
    updating a timestamp each time the visitor clicks a link.
    Online or
    offline status is determined by the time elapsed since the
    last activity
    (usually 5 or 10 minutes).

    How many times do you have to open this same topic?
    In my opinion, this is your THIRD thread for the same topic.

  • Resizing online and standby redo log in dataguard setup.

    In 10gr2 dataguard i would like to increase redo logsize from 50M to 100M.
    on primary
    standby_file_management=manual
    added online redo groups with 100M
    log switched
    drop old one and readded with 100m
    deleted log added in step2.
    same for standby redo logs.
    On standby
    was able to resize standby redo logs.
    but cannot resize online redologs status is clearing or clearing_current.
    please comment. thanks.

    I assume you just had to wait until the Primary switched out of that online log so it became inactive at the standby as well? We track where the Primary is by marking the online redo log files at the standby as clearing_current so you can tell where the primary was at any given moment.
    Make sure you create new standby redo log files at the Primary and Standby to match the new online redo log file size.

  • Print invoice for bought online products

    Hi,
    not sure if this is the right section...anyway I bought me MBP in the online store (via the website of apple). Unfortunately, it shipped without an invoice. I expected to be able to print it by myself then via the online store. Indeed this option can be found in the account menu, but everytime I click on it I end up on the website that shows me the history of made orders of the past x-days without seeing any button or hint whatsoever that allows me to print a bill for a bought product.
    I really need a printed invoice - how do I get it?
    Regards,

    View or Print Invoice
    Once an item is billed, Apple creates an invoice. You can view or print individual invoices for each item on your order.
    To view or print your invoice, log in to online Order Status and click the View Orders button. Click the Print Invoices link on the Your Orders page to get a printable image of your invoice(s).
    If you need assistance with viewing or printing your invoice, please contact an Apple Online Store representative 1-800-676-2775.

  • Whole Database Online + redo log backup: How Long?

    Hi gurus,
    There's something I want to ask about online backup with redo log.
    If i'm correct, redo log file is created everytime there's operation that change datafile right?
    If i schedule this type of backup everyday, it means it will backup all datafiles, along with redo log file when transaction take places, at my pre-defined hours, right?
    Then here's what i'm confused about. When will this backup process finished? Is it when all the datafiles have been backed up? Then how about the redo log files? If there are users that keep making transaction (therefore make change to datafiles), new redo log files will be created on disk, and that will prevent the backup process to finish. Then when will this cycle come to an end?
    Please confirm if my grasp about oracle online backup is correct or not, and provide explanation to satisfy my curiousity.
    Thanks gurus,

    Hello Fidel,
    i am feeling honored
    > Keep in mind that the only thing where a DBA cannot make mistakes is restore/recovery and this depends on your backups
    In general i would say you are right, but i have seen already one case where this statement is not true.
    Some time ago i got a call from a colleague where his database crashed, the online redolog files were corrupted and the recovery was not working.
    If you don't look really close at this point you are in trouble and can not continue the recovery. Let explain this on a example.
    This demonstration is done on an oracle 10.2.0.4, but it work on every other version too.
    Let's simulate a crash
    SQL> shutdown abort;
    Corrupt/delete a specifc redolog file
    SQL> startup
    ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 3 of thread 1
    ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: '/oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo03.log'
    ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
    Ok - so far so good, lets check the groups and files
    SQL> select GROUP#, STATUS, MEMBER from v$logfile where TYPE = 'ONLINE';
        GROUP# STATUS  MEMBER
             1         /oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo01.log
             2         /oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo02.log
             3         /oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo03.log
    SQL> select * from v$log;
        GROUP#    THREAD#  SEQUENCE#      BYTES    MEMBERS ARC STATUS           FIRST_CHANGE# FIRST_TIM
             1          1         95   52428800          1 NO  CURRENT                5117817 06-JAN-09
             3          1         94   52428800          1 YES ACTIVE                 5117814 06-JAN-09
             2          1         93   52428800          1 YES ACTIVE                 5112855 15-DEC-08
    What's the situation?
    The online redolog file of group 3 is lost/corrupted and this group is needed to perform a complete recovery (see status ACTIVE).
    But you are lucky, because of this group 3 is already archived - so you can perform a complete recovery.
    Now let's perform a complete recovery but with UNTIL clause (because we need to jump between the online and archived redologfiles)
    SQL> recover database until cancel;
    ORA-00279: change 5116194 generated at 01/06/2009 21:06:48 needed for thread 1
    ORA-00289: suggestion : /oracle/TST/oraarch/TST_1_93_6b8c0516_666969185.arc
    ORA-00280: change 5116194 for thread 1 is in sequence #93
    Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
    ORA-00279: change 5117814 generated at 01/06/2009 21:08:47 needed for thread 1
    ORA-00289: suggestion : /oracle/TST/oraarch/TST_1_94_6b8c0516_666969185.arc
    ORA-00280: change 5117814 for thread 1 is in sequence #94
    ORA-00278: log file '/oracle/TST/oraarch/TST_1_93_6b8c0516_666969185.arc' no longer needed for this recovery
    Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
    ORA-00279: change 5117817 generated at 01/06/2009 21:08:51 needed for thread 1
    ORA-00289: suggestion : /oracle/TST/oraarch/TST_1_95_6b8c0516_666969185.arc
    ORA-00280: change 5117817 for thread 1 is in sequence #95
    ORA-00278: log file '/oracle/TST/oraarch/TST_1_94_6b8c0516_666969185.arc' no longer needed for this recovery
    Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
    /oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo01.log
    Log applied.
    Media recovery complete.
    Now execute an OPEN NORESETLOGS accidentally (maybe the dba think it is not necessary because of the complete recovery) and try an OPEN RESETLOGS after:
    SQL> alter database open noresetlogs;
    alter database open noresetlogs
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 3 of thread 1
    ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: '/oracle/TST/oradata/redolog/redo03.log'
    ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
    SQL> alter database open resetlogs;
    alter database open resetlogs
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01139: RESETLOGS option only valid after an incomplete database recovery
    So now you are lost.. you can't execute an UNTIL CANCEL anymore which would be needed to perform a successful OPEN RESETLOGS.
    In this special case you can do mistakes and you have to restore the whole database and perform the same recovery again and end with OPEN RESETLOGS.
    Just for information
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Contacts' Status Changes when I change mine

    I'm a newbie to Skype.  I mostly use the desktop version on a Windows 8.1 laptop but also have the Skype app on my Android phone.   The problem occurs on the laptop.
    When I sign into Skype and change my status to "online" the status of one of my contacts instantly changes to "online" as well.  Similarly, when I manually change my status to "offline", my contact's status changes to "offline" immediately.   So, when I think they're online and available for a video call, they're really not listening and my call goes unanswered.  In fact, after this happened several times, I finally emailed the contact who promptly replied that their computer had been off during the days when I'd tried to call.
    What's the fix for this, fellow Skypers?

    There is no fix that you can apply. The issue is on Skype network.

    First things, first: for your safety and protection, please never, ever include any personally identifiable information such as your real name, Skype account name, e-mail address, or a telephone number in a post on a public Community or forum such as this.

    Hi, Sajid.ali283, and welcome to the Community,
    For your benefit, please review our Community Guidelines for a better understanding of why I needed to redact your post as I did.
    The online/offline status problem is a known issue in the most recent versions of Skype.  Many people work around this by setting their status to "invisible" prior to signing out, although on mobile versions where this setting is not available, this would not work.
    For not being able to place or receive calls, please start a new topic on the message board which matches the operating system upon which you use Skype.  Best practice in these types of on-line communities is one enquiry per discussion or "thread."  Thanks!

    Elaine
