OO Design for Property type
We are currently in the design process for an application that will use an ORM and are trying to create an object model that will make the most sense for using the ORM to save data to the database. At this time, we will not be using the ORM to instantiate objects from the relational data.
The first set of information is for a property type, in particular a residential property. There are approximately 90 items of information about the property.
In regards to the number of fields for a single object, what is a good number to be around for a Hibernate mapping?
Right now we plan to have a Property, Listing, Rooms, Agent, Office tables and classes. Below is a complete list of all the data.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Good design for property files?
Hi
Id like to put the property file for my application in the users home folde, and on any *nix OS (Linux, Unix, OS X,..) thats a good solution if i simply make a .xxx directory (a directory starting with a '.'), and then the user cant see the directory by default, and then place all my configuration there under. But is this a good cross platform design, or is there a better way?
/ThanksI think it's pretty decent/standard. I believe System.getProperty("user.home") will give you C:\Documents and Settings\username by default on Windows XP--on my machine there are a couple of .folder configuration directories in there for other java programs (rssowl and jprofiler)

I'm trying to print vinyl letters for a gallery I'm a member of and love the Cronos Pro regular font. i've designated this for desktop use and created 24 name files at 200pt. The person working with the vinyl asked if I could 'convert to outline' possibly to make the font a bit larger, I don't really know. When I tried to do this, I found that choice grayed out on the type menu. I am wondering if this means the Typekit fonts 'designated for desktop use' simply do not have the permission to be 'converted to outline'.
Cutting always requires proper paths/ outlines. This has nothing to do with the font or large format printing per se. Beyond that there should be no limitation in using fonts - as long as you can mangle them in AI, it means that somewhere those outlines exist internal to the program so the type can actually be rendered. Whatever prevents this may more likely be inherent in how you treat your text. you would have to provide more specific info on that. Either way, ask in the AI forum for more detailed answers.

Error when we tried to increase limits for Property of type string
hi,
Actually initially we were getting error when we were trying to add content for property of type string of character length greater than 255.
After that we increase size for that property in pointbase from 250 to 1000 and that works.
But when we tried to increase limit from 1000 to 4000,it was taking only limit upto 1300.
Response needed urgentlyCases can be
1. file name should be in caps (upper case lower case conversion
2. when executing in bg variant not picked
3. collision of file path across servers in a system
In a system there will be servers like in Quality it can have varying servers ex sapqp1 sapqp2 sapqp3
In here qp1 qp2 and qp3 are the servers in quality which can hold the unix data (al11) . If qp2 is directed in your check and if qp2 dosent have the file path it throws error. recently we have faced a similar issue . Problem was solved when basis guys made the setting across all server's to access the path.

Could not find the artifact type for property kind
Team Foundation Server 2013 Update4 on Win Server 2008 R2, this message has suddenly started appearing.
Team foundation error: Could not find the artifact type for property kind '77951f77-f29d-4a9b-8311-1b13e4b89c42'. The property kind was not properly defined.
Last update installed was Update 4 on 17 Dec 2014, and at the time of install, everything was working well. I've re-applied update 4 in the hope it would resolve it, but the same error appears when I open the TFS console. Please help!

Any of the above technologies will do it. You could also use
a Java
applet or even a .NET solution of some kind, so the choice
you take will
depend largely on what platform you want to support and code
for. This sort
of project will require significant amounts of custom
programming. My
personal approach would be to use Flash, mainly because of
the popularity of
the plugin. The Shockwave example looks beautiful, and I
started out years
ago using Director, but fewer people nowadays have the
Shockwave plugin
installed. It doesn't look like any of the sites shown use 3D
modeling,
which is the only relevant feature that Shockwave has over
the other
approaches. JavaScript (probably some Ajax approach) would
work -- as
seen -- but then you're dealing with compatibility issues
among various
JavaScript implementations in the great variety of browsers
out there.
Flash minimizes that, in my opinion.
All you really "need" to produce what you've seen is Flash
and some sort
of database back end (MySQL, say), which means you'll need a
bit of
middleware (PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, etc.) to act as your
ambassador between
Flash and the database.

Tweak the deserialization of ASObjects to treat an empty string for the type of an object as null. It appears that there is some logic in the LC remoting code that relies on a non-null class name to always exist. This change reverts to the old behavior of not allowing empty string as a value for the ASObject.namedType.
This should fix bug 2448442 and its duplicates caused by the recent serialization changes.
I don't think this is the perfect fix. Pending further investigation, a better fix would be either:
a. If it's OK to assume that empty string should always mean null for the type of the ASObject, the code that enforces it should be in the setter/getter inside ASObject and not in the deserializer.
b. ASObject doesn't guarantee that a named type exists or is valid. In that sense an empty string is as bad as some random characters that cannot be a valid class name in java, so depending on how disruptive it may be, the fix should be in any logic that uses ASObject.getType().

Yes, you are right - but this message is standard AQ Adapter Header message - it's not defined by me. I just used message which was automatically added to my project when I have defined AQ Adapter.

Do you mean targetNamespace? If yes it's different as it points to process "targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/PF_SOA_jws/PF_APPS/APPS_PROCESS" (names of application and process have changed as I try different ways to do that)

When I create a variable of header type, namespace ns1 is automatically created for it. I set it as property of receive activity. When process is instantiated on the serwer I get the error in which you can see that namespace is tns.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't see how I could fix this in my process.
You can see that the message I get on the server has nothing in common with the application/project/process names. Is it possible to define such variable?

PS:
In Transformation xsl file, both variables (source and target) has tns namespace for Header and PayloadHeader, and no namespace for subfields.

How to create Image as Custom Property Type used in Configurable Web Part?
I wanted to create custom configurable web part property for Image.
Example - the screenshot of Image property used in Image web part is shown below:
My goal is to create as many images as possible in custom configurable web part.
I tried to write the code:

How can I create Image as Custom Property Type used in Configurable Web Part?I have examined that context node __00 has been enhanced,and has a class name z___00. But when I created a new attirubute by right click " Attributes" with wizard under context node __00.There is still a error message "view is not enhaced or copied with wizard".
But when I created a method "getvaliation " in the class of context node zcl__00, the attribute 'valiation' automatically created(at the same time the method "getvaliation' automatically created for the attribute 'valiation') and I need not to create attibute 'validation' by wizard . It seemed as if the problem is resloved. But when I make test for it in web ui .There is a runtime erro message.
Do I need to make some configurations in the business object layer for the checkbox? but the checkbox is only used as a flag to decide whether a backgoud job is needed to be executed.

In XML view, how to set sap.ui.core.CSSSize array for property "widths" of MatrixLayout Control?
As SAPUI5 prefer XML views, I'm rewriting JS view into XML views.
When I translate the statements below, I can not set sap.ui.core.CSSSize array for property "widths" of Control MatrixLayout.
JS version:

The error says: Uncaught Error: "[100px, 200px, 300px]" is of type object, expected sap.ui.core.CSSSize[] for property "widths" of Element sap.ui.commons.layout.MatrixLayout.
Same problem with property `backgroundDesign` of MatrixLayoutCell, I can only use a workaround to use String "Fill1" not the Class "sap.ui.commons.layout.BackgroundDesign.Fill1".
When we meet a property which need a Class object as value, we can not set it in String Format for XML views. That's a pity or I did not find the right way to set NON-String values as property for XML Controls.Hi,
any settings that are not possible in the XML, need to be set in the controller instead.
Using the string value of an enum is fine, though.

Architectural design for FTP batch processing
Hello gurus,
I would like your help in determining the design for the following.
We receive several HL7 messages as a text file and copied to a shared network folder. All these files are created into several different folders depending on the region, message type. We need to come up with a B2B process to read all the files from the netwrok folder using FTP (batch process) and translate if needed (depending on the scenario) and transfer the files over to other destination folder on the network (using FTP).
For this, we can create TPs with Generic FTP channel and this works without any issues. By doing this way, we need to create TP for each and every type of message which reads the files from its own specified directory location on the network based on the the polling interval.
My question is, instead of creating TPs for each and every type of file, is there a way by which I can write a common web service that reads the source files from the network and based on the type of the file route to the proper destination folders. If it is possible, I would like to know the architecture for accomplishing this task.

You can very well use FTP adapter with BPEL and poll for files. Use DVM in composite to figure out the destination and send it there. You may use OSB if it is a typical routing case with heavy load and performance is a concern. You may use B2B as well here. So ultimately you need to figure out what you want and what tools you want to use.

User Logic for Conversion Type Instead of Hard coding in query.

Requirement: User will select the Target Currency; Will select the Exchange Rate like Monthly Avg 002M. Now there has to be a variable in Conversion which tells the logic to pick Conversion Type ZVHGR if Exchange Rate = 002M, but if Exchange Rate = 001, then Conversion Type ZVHMR.

1. I have created a Currency Translation Type " FiscperConversion" "ZVHGR" now this has Exchange Rate Type from Variable "ZVARN" (Which is a variable single value manual input on 0RTYPE Infoobject for exchange rate.)
2. Now Currency Tab: Target Currency is selected from Variable placed in the Report. ZRPVAR.
3. Now the Variable Time Reference is used. Standard Infoobject 0FISCPER
which is beginning of period.
Now all the above is done. Let go to the query and For Value of kEYFIGURE "Audit Balance" in Conversion Tab Conversion Type is specified is "FiscperConversion" ZVHGR"same as above and thats it. But the problem is here user want a variable that user can select the Conversion Type Instead of Hard coding.
<b>Please suggest how to create this variable for Conversion Type and specify in query designer since In Conversion Tab this is not allowed to have variable.</b>

CTK ( currency translation key) includes
1. Exchange rate type - variable
2. Time base - Variable
3. Source abd TGT currency - variable
if all the things are given in variable why and what extra you need by selecting currency translation key from user input. I think you should ask business user again abt their requirement.
I can think of inputing CTK if say you have choosen time base as static ( Fix value)...say in one key u r using fiscal period as base and in other u r using calday as base...
