Open a digital project for editing

I can't seem to find the answer, so here is what I assume:
I am using PSE 6 on Windows XP sp3
I have created a digital project that is a photo gallery. I have successfully uploaded it to my personal website.
How can I open the project and edit it? In particular, I want to add a link that allows the user to go to the "home" page of my personal website.
At this point, I assume it cannot be done in PSE 6.
Thanks,
Larie

I like to do that with my galleries. I use a text editor to do a search and replace across multiple documents to add the link. I user an older version of PSE though that doesn't do flash galleries.
From Juergen's post it sounds like it would be even easier. If the flash gallery is embedded in one html page you only have one page to edit.

  • Error clicking on Open "In Microsoft Project for Editing" from PWA ribbon

Receiving errors when selecting any project (from Project Center in PWA on SharePoint 2013) and choosing Open "In Microsoft Project for Editing" from ribbon. Error messages below. We do not receive the error if MS Project Pro 2013 is already
open on PC. What is triggering these errors?
As Project Server Admin using IE9, MS Project Pro 2013 starts to open and then displays "Project Professional 2013 needs to be online in order to open your project. Set Project to connect to Project Web App and try again."
A PM using IE9 completes the same process and receives "Microsoft Project has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." and separate window with "Sorry, we were
unable to open your project. Please try again. If this happens again, please contact your administrator."
As Project Server Admin, I also tried it in Firefox and received the following error message "Project Professional needs to be installed to open the project. Install Project and try again."

Worth checking my blog from yesterday if you are using Firefox -
http://blogs.technet.com/b/projectsupport/archive/2014/12/18/project-online-opening-projects-from-project-center-with-firefox.aspx - this can give this kind of error if you have spaces in the project name.  Also make sure in Firefox you have the correct
association for the protocol handler (under Options, Applications) - it needs to have ms-project associated with 'Use Microsoft Office 2013 (default). If this doesn't work then maybe Fiddler will help identify what's going on.  Please don't post
Fiddler traces to the forum though as they can capture passwords etc.

  • Opening a word document for editing with webdav

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question..
I am attempting to open a word document, which resides in a webdav folder from web app. I need IE to start word and open the original document from the webdav folder and allow the user to make changes to the document and save it back to the webserver.
    Wep app this http://www.javatalks.ru/go.php?uri=http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/tomcat/tc6.0.x/trunk/java/org/apache/catalina/servlets/WebdavServlet.java
I've got it to open the document but it seemed to have copied the document to my temporary internet files folder and opened the copy from there. The original file name is "test.doc" but the opened temprary file is "test[1].doc" and so on. How can I get it to open the original document for editing?
    Any help would be appreciated..

  • How to open/import an swf for editing

I have had a coder create a presentation for my site, he
designed it with Flash 8, and it has some minor text/spelling
mistakes that I would like to repair. I have installed Suite 8, and
have downloaded the files from my server, but can't figure out how
to "import" or open them in Flash 8 for editing? They only open as
the swf, and cannot be edited? HELP!

i have no ideas mainly because FLAs are like snowflakes - no
    2 are alike - there's a myriad ways a
project could be setup in terms of timelines, movie clips,
symbols, actionscript methods - need to
study the FLA to at least try and suggest something - so post
it and supply the URL for someone who
has time to download and investigate it. thats your best bet.

  • How do I get a photo into Lightroom if I first opened it in Photoshop for editing

Sometimes I open an image (not in the Lightroom catalog)  directly into Photoshop for editing and when I'm done would like to finish editing it in Lightroom. What's the best way to do that?

Any reason why you're not opening it in Lightroom first?  RAW converter?   "Typical" workflow would be to open everything in Lightroom, do basic development, and then kick it over to Photoshop as needed.  Lightroom tracks it the whole time, so when you save your file in Photoshop, so long as you don't rename it, Lightroom will keep track of it as an alternate to the original.

  • Opening image in PS for editing

I have been using Bridge and thought I'd download a LR trial and see how it works.  I like the interface, but have one problem that may be a preference setting I cannot find.  I am used to double-clicking on the thumbnail to open it for editing in PS.  I cannot seem to do that in LR.  The only way I can open an image is to right-click and then select 'Edit in' and select 'Photoshop'.
    Is there an easier way?

  • Opening an Accordion Panel for editing

When I create an Accordion Panel as per the CSS3 tutorial, I find that only 1 of the two panels has the eye icon on the right of the panel tab for editing, so that I can add content or edit only one of the panels. Any ideas?
                                                                  Thanks, CMA

    Thanks, DWFAQ,
That helps but there is another problem I'm having. When I Insert > Spry > Spry Accordion,
    the code looks like this:
      <div id="Accordion1" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
        <div class="AccordionPanel">
          <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 1</div>
          <div class="AccordionPanelContent">Content 1</div>
        </div>
        <div class="AccordionPanel">
          <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 2</div>
          <div class="AccordionPanelContent">Content 2</div>
        </div></div>
When I do a validation: I'm told that the "div" tag does not have the "tabindex" attribute in currently active versions (HTLM 4.0)"
The reason I did a validation of code was that there were obviously problems with the inserted Accordion widget: As I tried inserting content, I got error message in the Property Inspector to effect that "accordion code is broken."
So it appears that the code inserted has problems. Any ideas?

  • Storing analog converted to digital video for editing later

Okay, so I am still experimenting AND learning. I was hoping I could use the DVD as a storage medium and later pick, choose and edit clips. I tried but now I have a movie of all the clips I took on that tape and I can't access them. What is the best way to store the video for later use in editing and compiling?

Sorry I have been busy with other non tech projects lately. I think I was supposed to mark the replies as helpful or solved or something so all of you people who gave input could accumulate points. I am new to these discussion groups.
I am going to try the following:
    1. convert small chunks of video
    2. Store as QT video on DVD
    3. Store as QT video on hard drive
    4. Then try editing each
Thanks for all your help. Let me know how to give points!

  • Does Acrobat XI works with a digital pen for editing?

    Hi,
In my office we're searching news ways to easily edit PDF documents like tests scanned by our students.
I found a digital pen called I Pen which works with lots of Adobe Softwarer like Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
My question is to know if Acrobat XI, in any of it's version, accepts and works with digital pens.
    Hopping for your help,
    Victor Lozada

I have used pen input on an old tablet (not the current slates) and it will work with the pencil tool. However, most folks doing grading use PDF Annotator. The pencil tool works to a point and then you set the pen down and you find it has selected the last annotation and you are about to move it, not draw. Also, if you turn the pen over it does not erase but continues to act as a pencil -- you have to use the erasor tool or select and delete. It can be done with Acrobat, but it is not all that friendly. It is a feature I have suggested fixing in the past, but has not yet been done.

  • How should I start my project for editing MP4 in Premiere E9

    Hello,
I am new to the forums and to video/picture editing in general. The main disconnect I have is with all the different formats and such.
Long story short. I have Premiere elements 9. Im using a Flip Ultra HD (to my understanding it produces MP4).
I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of the most accurate way to start my project in Premiere elements 9.
Thank you very much in advance to anyone who may be able to help.
    -Jeff

You should select the Settings for a Flip Mino/Ultra HD project, then use Get Media to get the files from your camcorder into your computer.
You can see how to set up a project and get media in the first couple of tutorials in my free 8-part Basic Training tutorials at Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com.

  • Is there any way to open an instant movie for editing once complete?

I need to correct a typo on the credits and I cannot find any instructions on how to open a completed file. Do I have to start over?

    highaspiratitons
Glad the changing the Instant Movie Closing Credits text and leaving the Instant Movie intact worked. Great news.
However, I am fighting a losing battle trying the same approach for altering the duration of that Closing Title under the same circumstances. No breaking apart of the Instant Movie.... I can change this Closing Credits duration in Project Assets or the duration of Closing Credits dragged from Project Assets to the Timeline. But, when I break apart the Instant Movie, unlike the text changes that we did, the change in duration is not reflected in the Closing Credits file within Instant Movie. Still thinking about this one.
Now for what happened with regard to effects in your Instant Movie. I think that I will need more details on that to tackle it.
    1. When are you adding these effects? I am assuming that you are doing this before you start the Instant Movie feature. So, after you start Instant Movie and you get the message about remove user applied effects, are you selecting Yes or No?
    2. If you say No, your effects for a given component of the Instant Movie will remain, included with the effects that come with the Instant Movie. I am wondering if the following applies to your situation. Say you apply an effect to one photo at the beginning of the Timeline. No place else. After the Instant Movie is generated, you can see that same photo with effect repeated periodically in the course of the Instant Movie. It does not appear only once. Could you be seeing the repeats of your photo with effects repeated more than once?
I will think about this some more.

  • Best way to export iMovie project for editing

I am creating an iMovie project in iMovie 09 with a friend. I have part of the movie and he has the other part (basically I have put together a lot of the video and some transitions, and he is going to put in some music he created and add a couple of other cool things). I have created my part of the movie and I would like to send the project to him so that he can add his part to finish the movie. I am not sure what the best method is to save my iMovie project so that I can sent it to him. I don't want to export it to something he can't work with on his end.
I am thinking that if I save the project as a QuickTime movie it will allow him to open open the file in iMovie and then he can add his stuff. I was also thinking about ways of exporting to mp4 format as I know this is a format that iMovie likes, and he could open this up in iMovie. I wasn't sure, though, how to make sure I save the movie project as a mp4.
Do you all have any thoughts or suggestions on this?
    Thanks,
    Tim

I don't think I have the answer, but if you don't mind I'm going to drop into your discussion because I have a similar issue and am interested in any solution someone may give you. I have a couple of iMovie project files because, like you, I have two people working seperately, and I just want to combine them as a single project.
I was able to move both projects to one computer by moving the iMovie projects to an external hard drive and then opening them both up from the same computer. That solution probably doesn't solve your issue, though.

  • Why does the Summary function give a datatype error when opening a data model for editing?

I have two datasets (G1 and G2) within a data model; i've used a field in G2 and placed it into G1 as a Summary Function of G2. The datatype of this field in G2 is Integer, however if you set the Summary field in G1 to the same datatype - Integer, an error appears.

  • In Premiere CS5, I opened an old project I had edited using Premiere CS3 and now its all pixelated!

Hi everyone. I just got Premiere Pro CS5 and started the program and opened up an old project I had edited using Premiere Pro CS3. Premiere Pro CS5 said it had to convert the project for editing in CS5. I clicked "okay" and the project opened up in CS5. Now, when I play the project on the timeline, everything has some pixelation! The footage was nice and sharp without any artifacts when I edited in Premiere Pro CS3. How do I get rid of this pixelation in CS5 so the footage looks like it is supposed to?! Thanks.

Well, there's really no rationale for the project conversion to somehow drastically alter the appearance of footage, particularly something like DVCPROHD. Adobe changed the way its software handles pixel aspect ratios between CS3 and CS4, but that affects SD footage, not HD footage. There may be some degree of weirdness since in CS3, you had a project that was set to a specific format/frame rate/codec/whatever, whereas in CS4 and later the project is just a container for sequences of any and all types.
Instead of opening the original project and going through the conversion, try creating a new project and importing the old project as if it were any other media file. Premiere will reconstruct the old project within the new one; this probably is not going to have any change, but it's worth a shot.
Can you describe (or better, show) the pixelation you're referring to? It's hard to visualize without, well, a visual, and that might help better pinpoint the issue. Also, is the pixelation only during playback, or is while the clip is paused in the sequence, as well?
