Open a web page and pass values from a java file

Hi,
I need to open a web page and pass values in the text boxes.
Finally submit needs to be triggered. All this needs to be done from a java file. i.e instead of entering my values in a web page and submit, i need to do it from my java file..
Any inputs so that I proceed in the right direction..or is there any alternate way to achive this ??
Thanks in advance..
Sid

    I have a Mac Air, and I opened a web page in Safari and it died before the page could load, then I got the spinning beach ball for about 40 minutes so I turned it off. Now When I turn it on I get the chime, a grey screen, then the apple, then the pin wheel  -its been going now for an hour.
    Any help greatly appreciated

    There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to fully boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    1. Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup; 10.7 or later), from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup; 10.7.2 or later), or from your installation disc (C key at startup; 10.6.8 or earlier.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    How to back up and restore your files
    2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire or Thunderbolt cable. The internal drive of the machine running in target mode will mount as an external drive on the other machine. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
    3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.

  • How do I open a web page in Adobe Reader from ipad2?  I don't see any buttons to click. I'm new user

    How do I open  a web page in Adobe Reader? I got the app for ipad2, but when a page says I need a certain version of AR, I don't know what to do. I'm a new user and don't know if I have to "open" AR and it automatically reads whatever doc I have up on the web, or is it always running and any web page I'm on should show a button to click in order to open the page in AR?

    If a website says that you need a certain version of Adobe Reader, it is probably attempting to detect whether or not you have the Adobe Reader browser plugin installed. This is something that only works on desktop systems where browser plugins exist. Since browser plugins don't exist on mobile, website developers should take care to present different messages and provide different options for downloading PDF's when visited by mobile browsers. I recommend contacting the website owner and requesting that they implement access for mobile devices.

  • Linking 2 WebI reports and passing values

    Hi All,
              I have an issue here.As I have 2 reports in WebI created and report1 will be a summary report and i have a object in report1   which is like a hyperlink like for eg 2001,2002,2003 and when i click on 2001  it should open up the report2 and give the Quarter,Q2,Q3,Q4.
    Regards
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
    U will have to use the concept of OpenDocument API.
    Following are the steps for your question/difficulty.
    1. Open a report in webi having an object year.
    2.Open another report and have the objects year and quarter.
    Type  the below link in the Formula toolbar. The syntax is as follows.
    ="<a href=http://Server Name/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sDocName=Name Of The Second Reprt Try save this without space&s&lsSEnterYear:="[Year]">"[Year]+"</a>"
    and in the properties window in the Read Cell Content As choose hyperlink.
    You will get exactly what your ver looking for.
    Hopefully this solves your problem.
    Regards,
    Bernard.

  • How to have an Oracle procedure send and receive value from a java program.

    The below procedure is place inside a package. This procedure "get_extract_ready_headers " is selecting columns store_number, terminal_number, tran_number, tran_date, cust_id from the source REX_HEAD_EXTRACT table. This information is selected into a ref cursor. The data has cust_id field which is encrypted. How do I modify the procedure get_extract_ready_headers and accomplish 2 things?
    1. Make this procedure to read the "cust_id" value from the source table and send the value to a Java program "getheaderinfo" (this java program decrypts the cust_id field).
    2. When we get the unencrypted value back from the Java program, make the procedure accept this decrypted value and use it to update CUST_ID value in the target table TRAN_HEAD table. I am using Oracle 11.2.0.2, and TOAD 10.5.1.3.

    Assuming that SomeJavePgm is a Java stored function (not a Java program running outside the database) and that it takes as a parameter whatever data type CUST_ID is in TABLE_A (hopefully RAW but potentially VARCHAR2) and returns a string, you would call it just as you would a PL/SQL stored function
    INSERT INTO table_b( cust_id, <<other columns>> )
      SELECT SomeJavaPgm( a.cust_id ), <<other columns>>
        FROM table_a aIf SomeJavePgm is not a Java stored procedure, calling it from PL/SQL becomes much more complicated. You would need whatever machine hosts this program to expose an appropriate API (for example, a web service interface) that you could invoke via UTL_HTTP). You'd need to tell us what that API was, however.

  • How to pass values from single Databank file across different scripts?

    Hi Guys,
    I have a question regarding using single databank file across different scripts.
    Lets say there 5 web service scripts and these are very generic scripts where the input/request xml schema of each script is parameterized without having any databank as script asset.
    These 5 web service scripts are like library functions and so we dont want to attach any databank as script asset.
    However I have a driver script to call all of these 5 library scripts and now I attach a databank (a .csv file) to the driver script as script asset. Say this .csv file has got 10 different columns with just single record/row.
    As and when the function call goes to those 5 scripts i.e one by one, then based on the function call the corresponding columns are used and the data for those columns must be read.
    Is there any solution to acheive this?
    Faster help is highly appreciated.

    Hi JB,
    what i was looking for, was an approach to use a databank file (.csv file) in a parent script and then by reading that .csv file, the data should be moved from the parent script to individual child scripts.
    The child scripts are very generic scripts and are like library functions which are not data dependent. they are fully parameterized and they dont have any sort of databank attached to them.
    Now the question is if the databank has got 10 columns where first 3 columns belong to one child script, second 3 columns belong to 2nd child script and so on.
    Then how do we pass the values from parent script to a child script and what is the best/recommended approach.

  • Submit page and pass value at the same time

    Hi All,
    I have a tabular form on EMP table. The SQL query for the form is:
    SELECT empno, ename, sal
    FROM emp
    WHERE deptno = :P0_DEPTNO
    On the form, I have three buttons labelled as dept10, dept20 and dept30. I want to achieve the following when I press a button:
    1. Submit the page.
    2. Value of :P0_DEPTNO is set according to the button pressed.
    I am able to achieve only one of the above at a time. How can I achieve both at the same time.
    I am using Oracle 10g with Apex 4.0.
    Thanks,
    Zahid

    Actually, it would be cleaner to create a single post submit PL/SQL process as follows:
    BEGIN
    :P0_DEPTNO := CASE :REQUEST
        WHEN 'dept10' THEN value_for_dept10 button
        WHEN 'dept20' THEN value_for_dept20 button
        WHEN 'dept30' THEN value_for_dept30 button
        END CASE;
    END;Or if you want to set P0_DEPTNO to the name of the button, then just
    :P0_DEPTNO  :=  :REQUEST;

  • Submit a page , close a page and pass values to other page

    Hi All,
    I have page , which has a text box P2_TEST
    I will click on a link on page 2, then a pop up page( page number 3) will appear . Its done using javascript.
    The popup page, has a OK button.
    Whenever I click on OK button,
    1)page 3 has to be closed.
    2)P2_TEST has to be populated with P3_TEST Value. ( P3_TEST is a text field in page 3)
    3)Cursor Should come back to P2_NAME
    which is some other field in Page 2.
    How do do this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Archana

    Thanks Tim.
    I could solve the problem using javascript.
    I have used the following javascript.
    <script>
    function test(){
    var radioLength = document.wwv_flow.p_v01.length;
    var retVal = '';
    if(radioLength == undefined)
              if(document.wwv_flow.p_v01.checked)
                   retVal = document.wwv_flow.p_v01.value;
              else
                   return "";
         for(var i = 0; i < radioLength; i++) {
              if(document.wwv_flow.p_v01.checked) {
                   retVal = retVal + ';' +document.wwv_flow.p_v01[i].value;
    retVal = retVal.substring(1, retVal.length);
    opener.document.getElementById('P1_TEST').value = retVal;
    window.close();
    </script>
    Now the problem is solved!!
    Thanks,
    Archana

  • Safari won't open certain web pages and download/stream speed slow

    I have recently been experiencing problems with viewing certain websites, content on websites, streaming video, and downloading files. Sometimes the website will load but all the images will be blue question marks. I cannot get anything to load on youtube. Streaming video on Netflix is really slow as well. My bandwidth allowance on my network is 3 mbps (I'm the only user) and I have been getting between 40-300 kbps when downloading things. I have restarted Safari, my computer, and still no change. Any idea on what's going on? Thanks!
    Machine:

    2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    You're not alone. Others, especially with early MacBooks, have reported slower Safari performance after updating to OS X 10.6.8. and Safari 5.1
    Using any popular search engine with the terms "mac os x 10.6.8 slow internet" will reveal dozens of similar complaints.
    I did too with my mid-2007 MacBook, similar to yours, except I have 4GB RAM (3 GB usable). After a few days of 'spinning beachball' I restored my system to OS X 10.6.7 and internet performance returned to what I remembered.

  • Passing Value from PDK Java to Webdynpro Java in SAP EP SP18

    Dear Experts
    Please tell me how to call a webdynpro java ivew form a PDK java application and I need to pass a value to webdynpro form my PDK application.
    I am using SP18
    Please help me in this issue
    Regards
    Noel

    Noel,
    From your PDK aplication you will be providing the WD URL along with the parameter.
    Say in your PDK application you redirect to http://portalserver:50000/irj/local/webdynpro/sap.com/test?mypram=1
    In WD you fetch this parameter using WDProtocolAdapter class.
    Check below links for more information.

  • Open in same window and clean cache from swf + html file generate with InDesign CS5

    Hi,
    1)
    I have a Indesign web file exported to swf + html.
    In my document I have a button that point to url (this url is html file of a second Indesign swf + html).
    When I click on button, the url was find an open in another window.
    Is it possible to open this second url in the same window?
    If yes How.
    I think this information is in the swf file and not in html.(How modify the swf code?)
    2)
    How to clean the cache when you reload the url? (in the html generate file)
    I'will very please if somebody of you could help me. it's Important for me.
    Regards
    Philippe

    Okay, I found the code but I can't get it to work locally.  If you have a web server maybe you can upload the files (swf and html) after you Publish them:
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    var myURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://www.google.com");
    testlink.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickText);
    function clickText(myevent:MouseEvent):void {
    navigateToURL(myURL, "_self");
    you have to have on the stage a link element called "testlink" (see the code above) which would be a Movie Clip with the label testlink.  It can be anything from InDesign:  a button, a rectangle, a circle, a graphic, you get the idea.  Just select that object in Flash and label it testlink or anything you choose but if you change the name from testlink also change the name in the code snippet where the line "addEventListener" is.

  • When i got this ibook g4 yesterday i couldnt access itunes. i didnt know what to do because this is the first time i ever used a mac os. i followed the steps to delete itunes on the apple support web page and now there is no existing file of itunes on my

    There is no more existing file for itunes on my ibook and every time i try and download itunes it says cannot create file. Can anyone tell me what to do please?

    Open the General section of Safari's preferences and check where Safari is trying to download files to; if this folder doesn't exist or is in a folder used by the system itself, change it to a location inside your home folder, such as the desktop, or another folder you can write to, such as /Users/Shared/. If the download folder is set to one of these locations and you get that error message, click on that folder in the Finder and then choose Get Info from the File menu. Under Ownership & Permissions, verify that you have read and write access to this folder and that the folder isn't locked, changing the settings as necessary.

  • Passing values from one .mxml file to other

    Hi all,
    I am a flex newbie, and I have to admit I like flex very much. I have the following question:
    I am trying to make a really simple example, where I have a simple mxml application containing some radiobuttons. the radiobuttons simply change the color of several graphic shapes (circles,etc) on click. I am trying to add a new state (represented as a new mxml module) that contains different shapes. Still, I want to pass the value of the originally created radiobuttons to my new state (aka interface view) so that the new shapes inherit their color according to the radiobuttons value (selected:true || false). I am using flex 4 and in order to load my new interface (module) I use the SWFLoader.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if my (above) description doesn't make sense, I can easily paste my code (it's just a few lines anyway).
    Thank you.

    I'm not the most experienced flex user, but in other programming languages, each class is usually kept separate and can interact with each other using public functions. You might need to create a function in class B called setColorOfObject(object:object, color:color). Then in class B you can use those values to manipulate objects contained within class B. You would need to call the function contained in class B using class A.

  • Firefox will not open any web pages including its own introduction pages.

    I downloaded Firefox to try out.
    When I first opened Firefox on this computer, it failed to open any web pages and continues to do so.
    I have downloaded it on two other laptops with the same configuration with no issues.
    Google Chrome is working on this machine.

    Update..when I open firefox from scratch, the main firefox pages on the home page seem to work. But as soon as I try to go anywhere else, IE going to a website in the address bar or even trying to access the defauly bookmark links, it just sits there loading but never brings anything up.
