Opening any file in EAS gives error
Hi,
I'm experiencing an error when opening any file (outline, calcscript, rules file) in EAS.
Error message: "There is a problem transferring the outline, error #0".
When i check into Oracle Support, it says the cause is:
EAS temp directory in application server is not pointing to a correct path or the temp directory does not exist. EAS uses a temp directory when any object files (outline, calc script, rule files) are open.
Where is the temporary directory for EAS?
I'm installing EAS with Oracle AppServer.

During OAS install the Temp directory location is determined and saved in the opmn.xml file. If this directory fails to exist or changed at some point, the outline cannot be opened in the EAS console.
Create the temp directory in the file system as per the path entry in the opmn.xml file and this will allow the EAS to create the temporary file.

Preview app fails to open any file, console log shows errors messages
Hi,
I backed up my old mac using TimeMachine and restored the TimeMachine image to my newly purchased iMac running 10.9.4. There were no errors during restoration, however when I try to open a file with the Preview app (such as a jpeg file), Preview app doesn't open the file and emits a variety of errors to the console log as below.
Is there a way to clear the state of the Preview app so I can fix this issue and use the Preview app to open images again? These image files open fine in Chrome, but I can't seem to use Preview to open any files.
Not sure if this is a bug with system restore or a bug in the new OS. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I tried both suggestions, but they didn't resolve the issue. Thank you both for trying to help.
The font tool was crashing when I tried to validate my font files. I looked and I didn't see the font in question listed in that tool. Crash stack is below.
I reinstalled the OS per Linc's instructions, but Preview still is crashing when opening a jpeg file. Crash stack is below.
Weirdly, most everything else seems to work okay: mail, safari, chrome, etc, all seem to function with no issue. The font tool isn't something I care about, but Preview app is something I use to review my pictures, etc.
Any other suggestions? Is there a good alternative app I should use in the meantime to replace Preview while I get to the bottom of the problem and resolve it?

Have downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor from the Mac App Store onto my Mac Book Pro, set i photo preferences to Adobe PSE 10 editor, but when I try to open a file from my photo library, the following message appears: "could not complete your request because of a program error". What can I do to resolve this issue?

Help! PS won't open any files!
Well i did a system restore and now PS won't open any file, it was working FINE before i did the system restore, I have flash and dreamweaver also installed and they're working fine!
I open PS everythings fine, but when i try to open ANY file i get this error
- adobe photoshop cs3 extended photoshop.exe - fatal application exit
the specified module could not be found C:\program files\common files\adobe\adobe version cue cs3\client\3.10\versioncueui.dll
Then when i clicked "Ok" got this error
the instruction at "0x5ad71531" refrenced at memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be read.
I don't know what to do anymore, i've reeinstalled it again probably 15 times by now and it still doesn't work.
I did something i found on google and i deleted this folder C:\program files\common files\adobe\adobe version cue cs3\
But it still doesn't works!
I really need help! I've had this problem for about a week and haven't found yet a solution!

This started a couple days ago. I can log into my hotmail account but I can't do anything once in it. What I can do from day to day varies. I have never received an error message. Day one I could log into hotmail but not open any files or emails. Day two was the same problem. Today, I was able to open some files and emails but cant send an email. I posted on hotmail's troubleshooting forum but today I can't even access their response to tell them their "solution" did not work. All that happens is I get the blue circle of Windows that shows up when waiting for something. The top tabs will indicate it is connecting and it flashes like crazy.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

trying to load a new style for a project. CS5 PSD. the .asl file when dragged into the doc, gives the the following "error, because no parser or file format can open the file." what gives?
.asl files are layer styles

Photoshop CC 2014 won't open any files, not even create new ones
I have a freshly installed version of Photoshop CC 2014 and it just won't open any single file no matter what I do. I also have Illustrator CC 2014 installed for the past week, and it is behaving fine, and even opening up the files that Photoshop won't open (jpg, psd, png, etc.).
I've tried uninstalling completely, and reinstalling it, and it still won't open any files. Basically, nothing happens after I click the "Open" button from the Open File dialog window.

Has anyone else experienced this or can give information on how to resolve it?
Thanks!Well, I finally got it to work through trial and error. Here were the steps that I used to get it to work:
1) Make sure that you are not behind any firewall/VPN/etc, just a direct connection to the internet (if possible). I use Adobe for my work laptop, and I was informed that this could potentially be an issue during installation processes.
2) Uninstall Photoshop via the Creative Cloud application interface.
3) Right-click on the Creative Cloud icon from the system tray and "Quit" (it was automatically started for me from a previous bootup)
4) Right-click on the Creative Cloud desktop icon and choose "Run As Administrator"
5) Re-install Photoshop
After performing the above steps, I can now open any png/jpg/gif/etc file, as well as start a new file. I have no clue why it works or if my steps played any role in fixing it, but I thought it was worth sharing for others to try if they encounter a similar issue. It could be either the firewall I was behind, or the permissions (I don't think Creative Cloud boots up running as administrator). But I am in no position to say I know the exact resolution. So, I'm a freshmen in college majoring in Simulation and Game Development. Two of my SGD classes features Photoshop. I am trying to continue an assignment that I started at school today, but the Photoshop CS6 (64 bit) that I have on my laptop (which was obtained legally and is a gift from my sister) will not let me open any files. Not, JPEG, TIFF, PSD, PNG, nary a one of the photo types can be opened. It doesn't give me any signs of trouble or error messages. It just wont let me open a file or make a new file. I just sits there in all its power staring me down. Ugh, why must Photoshop all of a sudden despise me so? So, could you all please help me and fast? I have deadlines that must be met!

And no I haven't changed anything on my computer lately, except for the updates that the computer does while it's configuring, which is did earlier when I tried the ole restart and hope it works thing. Which sadly, did not do anything to help me.

It looks like it can't find some png libraries. I have libpng installed. -
In Photoshop CC14, can not open any files or create a new file.
I will open photoshop (recent update and previous), and it will not allow me to open any files or create a new one. The blank screen with the tools just stays the same. Other apps such as Illustrator still work. I'm on Windows 8.1. Please help I need Photoshop for my business.

Can't open any files in Photoshop Elements 9 and 11
I have Photoshop Elements 9 and 11, and right now I cannot open any files at all in either one. I keep getting this same error message every time: "Your request cannot be completed because the file format module cannot parse the file". Anybody have any ideas about what's up with this? I have an iMac running MAC OS-X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.

Can not open any files with Illustrator CC on windows 8.1
I can not open any files in Illustrator CC. It comes with an error message and shuts down. I run with the Danish version and windows 8.1. - help?!!
I just get this:
"Adobe Illustrator CC has stopped working - One problem was the fault of the program ceased to function properly. Windows close the program and notify you if a solution is found"

Illustrator crashing on load after yesterdays update
I updated the release yesterday, October 6, and it would not open after that. I have re-booted, re-installed to no avail. I am on mAvericks OS. Anyone else hit with this issue?
