Opening website "this american life" in firefox 4.0.1 causes firefox to crash, but the same site opens and streams radio shows just fine in IE. Suggestions?

I am trying to stream radio shows through the website for This American Life. As soon as I open the site and click on a link, I get the message about an unresponsive script. The next click to tell it to continue or ignore causes Firefox to crash -- the fade to white/not responding thing. The same site runs just fine on IE.

In Firefox, I'm unable to load any website using cloudflare but the same sites load fine in Safari.

Whenever I try to load any website using cloudflare in Firefox, I get this error message:
"Error 1000 DNS points to prohibited IP. You've requested a page on a website that is on the CloudFlare network. Unfortunately, it is resolving to an IP address that is creating a conflict within CloudFlare's system."
But the same sites load up fine with no problems in Safari. I've tried everything suggested in related support pages - cleared cache (my browser's set to do that on close anyway), cleared cookies, set to no proxy, disabled add-ons, etc. Nothing worked!
EDIT: Just noticed that 1 cloudflare page was able to load after disabling the add-on called "Modify Headers" v7.1.1 However, I don't know if this will work for all cloud flare sites. Unfortunately, I did not keep a list of sites that didn't load, so I can't test by loading them now.

My 4th gen shuffle only plays the first category of podcast and will not go to the next category, it will only repeat. Example:it will play all pod casts of this american life(first on the list) and not got to the moth (second category on the list). It does not work like my old shuffle.

if you make a playlist and load the podcasts in the order you want to listen to them, it will work. In effect you are double syncing. I had the same problem and got it to work

Navigation bar opens new tabs for links on the same site - only newer versions of FireFox does this! Why?

I've used this custom navigation bar for nearly a decade. New versions of FireFox open new tabs when I navigate to different pages on my weather site. Very annoying!!! I've tried turning off tabs, but then it opens NEW WINDOWS! These links ARE NOT ENCODED TO OPEN IN NEW WINDOWS! What is causing this? Looks like I"m going to have to switch to Chrome or go back to IE, since nobody at Mozilla seems to care about this. They seem to think it is a good feature and not a bug. What gave you the right to decide to open new tabs at random times? If I click a link on a site that is on the same site I'm already on, and the link isn't coded for _blank, then it should open in the same window!

Updated to iTunes 11.1 and many of my podcasts were, as far as I can tell, deleted from my account. 'This American Life' in particular, cannot be redownloaded for free and I want the unlistened podcasts I accrued to come back! Any tips or suggestions?

What really cheeses me off here is that Apple isn't allowing users enough customization. With each update of iTunes (and the OS and iOS) we're forced to give up something that worked well for the way we want to use the app and make do with fewer (and lamer) options. If Apple keeps this up, they're going to start losing customers fast. I mean if this isn't fixed soon, I'm pretty sure I'm going to give up on iTunes, and then I'll probably go ahead and get a Galaxy when I need to replace my iPhone.
What I don't understand about how they won't let users delete the list of available podcasts now is why? How is this making it a better program? I can understand that not all users are capable enough to right-click on a feed and select "Show all available episodes", so I can see why they want the complete list to be the default (and, surprise, it already was). But to not give users the option to delete that list? It's inconsiderate because it makes navigating feeds with a large back catalogue really frustrating. I'm flabbergasted that no one at Apple considered all the podcast feeds that keep hundreds of episodes available when they removed this feature. It smacks of rank incompetence.
What improvement were they trying to make here anyway? There was nothing wrong to my mind about how podcasts were managed in previous versions. Whatever improvement they were trying to make here, they should have realized that many users would at least want the option to keep things the way they were.
And reverting to a previous version is no solution. I can't sync my iPhone with the new iOS without this update, and (while I do have some issues--specifically how you can't play podcasts in the Music app anymore) I do like the new iOS.

Does anyone have any idea how to correct the following two problems with this program?
1. This American Life downloads as "music" and not as podcast. This happens when I buy a past program from itunes.
2. The This American Life podcast doesn't update automatically on a weekly basis as it should.
I started having this two problems when the program switched from being available (to buy) at audible.com to being a free podcast at itunes. I hope someone has an answer. Thank you. ia

I have this problem too - podcasts will randomly disappear. And I have 'delete played episodes' turned off, and it makes little difference, it still tends to delete played episodes about half the time when you sync the ipod - its as if it periodically forgets that I've told it not to do that.
Also, not only does it sometimes delete played episodes, obliging me to redownload them, when I look at the directory in windows I often find podcasts still there which have mysteriously vanished from iTunes's library, even though the file itself still exists in the podcasts folder.
The whole way podcasts are handled seems to be bug-ridden and also very confusing (with the umpteen different ways of displaying them - and I still don't quite get what 'save podcasts' means, given they are already 'saved' unless you delete them or tell it to delete them after playing)

How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then? That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.

That is OK. Firefox will only display the link in the location bar after the DNS look up has succeeded and a connection to the server has been established. Why cant i close and save? so the next time i open firefox the same sites come up.

Before i installed the latest firefox, a window poped up when i closed firefox asking what i wanted to do. save and close, just close or abort. after the update i only get 2 alternatives close or abort.
I want the last alternative back so i can close and save, and get the same sites next time i open firefox.

Firefox now always stores the old session which you can access by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session".
If you always open the last set of tabs, an alternative approach is this:

Sounds like you opened and saved it in CC, so now you need to go back to CC and either complete the project there, or export to IDML to take it back into CS6.
