Openitem management
Hi Gurus,
I have one GL a/c which s a balance sheet ac and I made postings to this GL ac.Now I want to activate Openitem Management functionality on this a/c.
While changing this GL a/c to put OpenitemManagement check,it is not allowing me to save.It is throwing below error message.
You cannot change the open item management setting; (see long text)
Message no. FH087
Diagnosis
This account does not have a balance of zero.
System Response
You cannot activate/deactivate open item management with this transaction.
Procedure
If you want to activate open item management retroactively for an account, create a new account with the correct setting and transfer the existing items to this account.
If you want to deactivate open item management retroactively for an account, clear all the postings on this account first. Now you can change the setting for open item management
Please advise how to change GL a/c to openitem managemet.

Hi,
First you have to maintain the gl account balance as ZERO by passing one entry.
Next copy program RFSEPA02 to ZRFSEPA02 and execute gl account.
After that you can change the gl accoun to open item management

You can maitian a gl a/c without line item display to do so follow the path
sap easy access-accouting-financial accouting-general ledger-master records-gl a/cs-individual processing-centrally, or trans code FS00
then open the gl account in the required company code and click control data ,then click change and under account management in company code u can un check line item display and save the changes.
Make sure line item display is off for recon accounts as the line item are maintained at customer or vendor level and for bank a/c line item should always be ticked on .

Hear I have a question.
A) Why should we select either 1.Openitem Management 2.Post Automatically or bouth to a G/L Master.
OR
B) In which situation we have to select either 1.Openitem Management 2.Post Automatically or bouth a the time of creating any G/L Master.

1. Open Item Managed account means there will be matching debits anbd credits in a GL Accounts which can be cleared. For example GR/IR clearing account is an open item managed account. The Goods receipt documents are to be cleared with invoice receipt documents.
2. Post Automatically menas manual entries are not permitted, Entries get posted through FI - MM/SD integration. For example when a billing document is posted in SD an accounting entry to Revenue / Customer are posted automatically. Revenue account is set up as auto posting only and this will ensure that SD and FI values always match.
Example of Open Item managed and Post automatically is GR/IR clearing account.

sureshOpen Item Management : For Accounts which are to be monitored i.e. payment are to be monitored the account must be defined as a open item management account (Pending Item)
We can specify it for Balance Sheet Account
For Clearing Account we need to select open item management
Open item management is to be selected for Balance Sheet receivables and payables Accounts
Ex : Bank Clearing Account
Expences Payable Account
Income Receivable Account
Taxes Payable Account
Loan Payable Account
Open Item Management must be followed by Line Item Display (Mandatory)
For Recon Account donot select the openitem management.

If you want to use the original account number, you must bring the account balance to zero, change the account assignment, and re-post the items. You can remove the old items by archiving the documents.
Please change the error to a warning and you will able to skip it This will allow you to change the indicator XOPVW.
Keep in mind that changing the account management to line item/open item display is not recommended by SAP.

Manual Bank Statement Posting problem
Hi,
I am posting MBS(ff67) for the openitem clearance in openitem managed check deposit bankaccount and a counter entry in mainbank account.after i posted a session is created.now when i process this session it dint execute properly.There is an error saying
"With deferred taxes use you can't use both normal bank and open bank a/c"
My company code is in IN.
can anyone please explain me what it is and how to overcome this error.

I did process the session in foreground now I didnot come across the error"with deferred tax use you cannot use bank acct or bank clear account"......but this is what happened in foreground

how to transfter that line items to antother gl code and after activation again i need that line items in the same gl code.

SAP recommends to set item management for an account in the standard
way as follows:
Create a new account with the correct account assignment. Post your
items to the new account. If you want to use the original account
number, you must bring the account balance to zero, change the account
assignment, and repost the items. You can remove the old items by
archiving the documents.
Customers are encouraged to follow the mentioned message in the popup
box to convert their account to OI mgt.
Up to release 45A, there was a report RFSEPA02 to switch on open item
management. With this report you could set the flag open items
management for documents posted before the change in the master record.
However, this report is no longer supported as of release 45A as the SAP note
175960 describes. Nevertheless, you can get this functionality following
the steps described in the note. This is valid for your case if
you are on ECC 6.0.
So, if you still want to use this program to convert your accounts
and do not mind the fact that the same is no longer supported by SAP,
this action will be at your own responsability.
Please, for further information, refer to the SAP note 175960.
FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP is available from ECC6.0 / Enhancement Package 3. This transaction can do the work for you.

plz tell me about "period versions' in FI, when i am trying to archive data using fi_documnt , it is saying period versions not defined.HI,
Transaction figures can be archived only if periods open for posting are no longer in the period to be archived. The periods for posting must be closed for the entire period
to be archived.

Data in BSIS/BSAS for a non-open item managed account

We have a GL account (Bank account) which does not have open item management checked in its master data,
Still I can find line items for this account in table BSIS / BSAS
How is this possible ? and if an account is not open item managed, how do the records move from BSIS to BSAS ?

SachinNon Open Item Account should have entries only in Table BSIS and no entries in BSAS. Check if there was OpenItem mgmt earlier but deactivated later.

Cost(vprs) of free goods with batch managment
Dear Gurus,
I have a problem ahout free goods with batch management.
Cost(VPRS) is not accumulated in billing(free goods is not relevant for billing).
My configurations are shown as below:
Ordered goods (and batch) item category :zta1(copied from tan)
Free goods (and batch) item category :zann (copied from tann) pricing:B ;not relevant for billing;dermination cost:X
copy control(from delivery to billing):
ztan: accumulation cost :X
If I use the material without batch management,Cost of free goods(without batch) is accumulated to main item(ordered goods).
So, what can I do?

If you have the problem in the transfer from SD conditions to CO-PA, check if you transfer only invoices to COPA, if you don't invoice the deliveries of free goods, then you don't transfer this 'sales' or costs of 'gifts' to COPA. You can check the customizing of COPA in tcode ORKE (IMG for COPA). SAP Note 74486 - INFO: Overview of consulting notes for CO-PA is a good summary about this issue.

Can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b
OS: Windows 2012 R2 Core
Services: Hyper V
I was trying to remote reboot and the session hung. No worries I decided I could just reboot the next morning. So I rebooted the next day but when I go into server manager I get
an errror can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b. Did some research found suggestions to fix it using a DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.
But then I get an error 1115 A system Shutdown is in progress. I attempt to fix this issue using pskill winlogon but the issue pursistest. I have restarted the server several times now. Not sure how to fix this.

Adobe cloud tries to load addon which I have deleted in Extension manager
when Adobe Cloud starts it tries to load an application (Edge FX lite) that I have deleted in Adobe Extension Manager cc. I get the error message ' unable to install the addon EdgeFX lite error 603. How do I stop this?
Also in Adobe Exchange in 'My Stuff' there are showing addons which I have removed in Adobe extension Manager cc which I would like to be removed from this listing as I will never use them, but if I right click to uninstall I fail to get rid of them.Apologies, without making the assumption that you are signed in
1) Go to https://creative.adobe.com/addons/
2) In the top right hand corner select sign in and enter your Adobe ID and password
3) Once logged in, on the center of the screen at the left hand side, select the link 'All your purchases and shared items'
4) You will then be taken to a page that is the equivalent of your My Stuff panel.
5) You can then install individual add-ons/extensions.

Data is not getting displayed in Management Console.
Hi Experts,
I am using BPC 7.5(M) SP04, Web server as IIS 7.0 and database server as SQL Server 2008 in Multi Server environment, Web Server is on Application Server (Windows Server 2008) and database server is on different machine.
I have configured the ODBC logging as documented in the install guide section : Setting Up ODBC Logging in IIS 7.0 for the Default Web Site and records are there in BPClog table of Appserver database but when I try to see data in Management console it doesn't show any data eg: It doesn't show any data after clicking "Who's Online" link under WebServer section of management console.
Do I need to do some more settings for getting the records display in Management Console.
Please Advice.

I have gone through the OPS guide but still "Who is Online" link of management console is not showing any data, I tried giving date range in Start date/end date fields and clicked on "Reload" button but it gives error message:

Manage-bde command is not generating recovery key on network location
Hi,
I am trying to save the recovery key to the network share location and start up key in the USB drive while enabling bit locker.When the OS drive gets encrypted, the default folder for recovery password shows that it contains 1 file but not getting anything
inside it when i checked the properties of the folder.
i have already changed the group policy as "choose default folder for recovery password".
I am using the command to enable the bit-locker as "manage-bde.exe -on C: -rk
<network location to save recovery key> -sk <location of the USB drive>
-rp to enable the bit-locker. It is generating the start up key in the USB but not the recovery key on network share.
Can anyone suggest what i am missing or what else i should do to generate the recovery key on network share.
Does manage-bde process be able to save the recovery key on network share or it hand over to some other process to perform this task.

password(48 digit). Surely from the recovery key on the network share. So how can i get the recovery password if only we have the recovery key.
I know both are different in context. Both are two different thing. I have lost my USB stick along with the recovery password and I have to log-in my machine. How can i do that i want to know that. Do there is any method to get recovery password from the
recovery key on network share. I have retrieved the recovery password when the recovery key in AD. But this time it is on network share.
Also one think which I need to solve is that the manage-bde -protectors -add command creates a new .bek file along with the older one. So the .bek file which get shown at the time of the start up of the machine is different from that stored in the network.
So i am getting confused as which .bek file is for which machine and hard to retrieve the password.
Is there any method to store recovery key on network without the -protectors -add command line so that both the .bek file should be matched and can easily be known for indiviual machine in an OU. As if both the .bek files will be different it would be difficult
to to retrieve the recovery password for the machines.
Please do inform if you need some more information about the scenario if i missed something.
