ORA-01000 + ORA-06512 + ORA-04088 error

Hi,
i am uploading one file which is inserting nearly 2000 rows to table YOU_DEAL_PURCHASE_DETAIL_T and trigger is writen before insert sequence should be generated.
i am getting this error:
Resources adjustment/ProcessFileUpload.jsp --> exception is ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-06512: at "PIN.YOU_DEAL_PURCHASE_TRIGGER", line 2
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'PIN.YOU_DEAL_PURCHASE_TRIGGER'
what will be the best option to overcome:
in database cursors opening are:
SQL> show parameter open_cursors
NAME TYPE VALUE
open_cursors integer 700
Thanks
Prakash

Hi,
Maybe you have to disable the trigger during this load and after the load ends you have to run some procedure (with performs the task done by the trigger) and at last enable the trigger.
Could you post more information?

  • ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger

    Error Description :
We have more than 100 of records in a csv file which we are processing through a script. At the first execution let
say it generates trigger exception for five records ... when I execute the script second time those five records
are not throwing any exception but may be some other records. But consecutive trigger exception is not happening for any record . If a particular record is throwing exception at first attempt then in the second attempts it's not throwing the trigger exception.

TEMP_AUDIT_SEQ generates number with the increment of +1
Although there seems other sequence populating the AUDIT_LOG table through a different sequence with the increment of +10. So till now there are already 1179 different numbers residing in audit_log.seq_no and yet to be generated by the TEMP_AUDIT_SEQ sequence. I will look into more details.

A grand total of this sum along w/ other totals on the base form is also displayed w/ a maximum value defined as 999,999,999. Thanks in advance for any/all the help.check your associated database column length. It's precision is not able to hold you said value. increase the length by
    ALTER TABLE table_name
MODIFY (column_name NUMBER(20) );it's above solution don't work. Then, probably you use variable in the trigger code which hold the vale and it's size is limited. increase it.
    added
    try this
increase the length of TAB_S_TOT_COST 9 to 18.
    and your problem will solved.

    Dear Experts,
I got Error During WebLoad Testing.
    Please give me solution.
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

It depends on how may cursors are used in your program and the parameter value for OPEN_CURSORS. If it is not possible to reduce the number cursors used in the program increase the OPEN_CURSORS value.

ORA-20123 is a localized/customized error code & message; therefore any solution depends upon what is unique inside your DB now.
I suspect that some sort of TRIGGER exists, which throws posted error, but this is just idle speculation on my part.
How do I ask a question on the forums?

Like the error message says, you don't have a global_lexer.  So, you need to create a global_lexer and that lexer must have at least a default sub_lexer, then you can use that global_lexer in your index parameters.  Please see the demonstration below, including reproduction of the error and solution.

  • ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded--Error

    Hi
What is "ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded" error,How to solve.
    Thanks
    Miseba

    Hi
    ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
    Other terms
    Oracle, open cursors, exchange infrastructure
    Reason and Prerequisites
The parameter "open_cursors" is set too low. Long transactions, such as imports, may use up all available cursors and fail.
    Solution :
THIS NOTE APPLIES TO XI 3.0 SP2 ONLY **
if you encounter an exception that reports "ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded" please adjust the open_cursors parameter as follows:
If the BR*Tools exist on your system:
    1] directory: /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run
    2] "brspace -c force -f dbparam -a change -p open_cursors -v 100000"
    3] directory: $ORACLE_HOME/dbs (Unix) or %ORACLE_HOME%/database (Win)
    4] change open_cursors parameter in init<SID>.ora to 100000
If the BR*Tools are not available (2] above - command not found)
1] change the open_cursors parameter as in 4] above
2] restart DB, for changes to take effect. _ NOTE: This problem has been fixed with XI 3.0 SP3 (see note 735078)
    Plz asign points if helpfull.
    Regards

    Hi ,
I am getting below error frequently in alert log of database.
ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 754461
ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 Syntax error, parameters in command "RCPT TO:" unrecognized or missing

    ORA-06512: at "APPS.HKD_PO_ADDON_PKG", line 110
    ORA-06512: at line 1

You have a job running in the database. Its job ID is 754461
It looks as if that job runs APPS.HKD_PO_ADDON_PKG
That job is attempting to send mail using UTL_SMTP and apparently passing some strange value to SMTP server for the RCPT TO: parameter.

  • ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 (Call to a Oracle View)

I have created a view that refers to a package function within the sql select.
    Like
    E.x
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW VW_TAX
    as select
    test_pkg.fn_get_gl_value(acct_id) desired_col1,
    test_pkg.fn_get_gl_desc_value(acct_id) desired_col2
    From tables a, b
    a.col= b.col
The sample function( fn_get_gl_value) is embedded into a package (test_pkg).
    Function fn_get_gl_value:
It earlier referred to table A1, B1, C1 and this query took really long, Therefore I used object type tables and stored the values required once within the package when it is invoked. Later I used the Tables A1, B1 and C1(table Cast from the type Table Loaded in Package Memory)
The query was fast and fine, but now when I try to re-use the view
    select * from VW_TAX
    where acct_id = '02846'
    It fails with this message
09:32:35 Error: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
Note: The database is Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.4.0.
    Maximum cursors database is 500
Please let me know if there is any known solution,
    Appreciate all your help

Seems like your OPEN_CURSORS init.ora parameter is set too low.
    See Metalink Note:1012266.6 for details.
       ORA-01000: "maximum open cursors exceeded"
Cause: A host language program attempted to open too many cursors.
The initialization parameter OPEN_CURSORS determines the
maximum number of cursors per user.
Action: Modify the program to use fewer cursors. If this error occurs
often, shut down Oracle, increase the value of OPEN_CURSORS,

I am trying to replicate in Oracle what I would do in SQL Server. There's your first mistake. There are too many differences. My first programming language was COBOL, but I don't write other languages as if they were COBOL.
I cannot attach an image of the users & tablespace, to illustrate.Another reason to work in sqlplus.

I created several schemas (tables)No, you created 2 schemas. One user = one schema = one user.
A schema is not a table and a table is not a schema. A schema is a collection of objects, which can include multiple tables but only those owned by one username.

    Boundaries (user)
    Tables:
    Country
    Province
    District
    Village
    Projects (user)
    Tables:
    Program
Project.Program has a FK = Country that is linked to Boundaries.Country
I need to create several scemas (databases):Another difference. a schema is not a database, though the sql server concept of a database is somewhat analogous to an oracle schema.
    Boundaries, Project, Assets.
There are foreign keys linking the various schemas.FKs link tables not schemas.
